The Weaver's Web
#19 of Hypnosis
For as popular as it is, I have never written a true superhero mind control story. So here's one.
I've been dealing with some continuing health issues, so this felt really good to sit down and write.
Firewing was a streak of bright orange against the inky black sky. As she flew, the collie kept her head tilted towards the tiny earpiece, tuned in to the local police scanner. Normally the reports coming in were crystal clear. A robbery on Vine. Gunshots exchanged at the convention center. UFO hovering over the city hall. That sort of thing. But tonight they were disturbingly vague. Something (something very big from the sound of it) had torn a hole in the forest just outside of town. That was it.
As the officers started to bicker, Firewing sighed and, with a flick of her head, turned the earpiece off. She tilted her arms and let the fiery trail that sprung from them and gave her her name carry her on another, wider loop around the city sky. It took her another ten minutes of staring out to the dark beyond the city limits before she saw the hole. And hole it was. It looked like a giant had reached in with an ice-cream scoop and dug out a pine, maple, and dirt sorbet. Firewing ran through the list of supers who were capable of that. It was a short list with worryingly few heroes on it.
She lifted a shoulder and adjusted the arc of her legs. The fire burning in her wake shifted into a curve as she spiraled down towards the ground. A few feet off, she flipped in the air, her feet surrounded in an orange halo as she slowed her descent and then dropped gracefully the last few inches. Now without her fire, she blended in better with the night in her dark black nanotech suit. It snugly held every inch of her body except for her head (minus the mask over her eyes), the wild mane of white and gold hair that flowed down her back, and her tail. She did not want her suit to be flashy. If she wanted to stand out in a crowd, well, she had flames for that.
Now closer to the ground, the damage looked less surgical. Starting from the center of the hole, a number of trees nearby had been utterly annihilated, nothing left but drifting leaves and a faint scent of burning wood, but further away the trees looked as though they had been hit extremely hard and fast in the middle. Some had bent like straws. Others were torn up by their roots. And then, fifteen feet or so from the center, nothing. No damage whatsoever.
Firewing scrolled back through the list of supers in her head. It shortened down to a single name. Metalhead.
"Damn it," Firewing cursed under her breath. "I thought that raccoon had reformed."
A squeak greeted her ears from a nearby tree. "Ummm, hello." The voice was small and shaky. It seemed to come from the branches of one of the trees that had taken a devastating blow to the middle.
Firewing clenched her fists, which immediately burst into flames. She snuck a bit closer to the sound. "Who's there?"
A branch shivered. "Uh, I think I'm stuck. Help me, please."
Firewing considered for a second and snuffed out the flames. She took a few steps under the damaged boughs and saw a tiny figure trapped inside the branches. Whoever it was, she was in a dark black sweater, dark black jeans, and dark black boots, with the only hints of color coming from the pink of her tail and a bit of silver from the fur around her hands. It was a mouse, Firewing thought, sprawled out, arms and legs askew, and covered in dirt, needles, and leaves.
"Who are you?" Firewing spoke clearly.
The mouse could not see her, due to her position, but nonetheless gave a wave, a very small wave her arm was wedged securely between two small branches. "Name's Anastasia. How about getting me down?"
Firewing felt a tug to move forward, but decided she'd better stand her ground for now. "How did you get up there?"
"That big brute threw me up here."
"Metalhead?"
"That's the one!"
Firewing cursed again, not bothering to hide it under her breath this time. She felt the fire burn inside her, ready to send her jetting back up into the sky.
"Can you help me down now, please?"
Firewing's attention was drawn back to the mouse trapped up in the tree and the flames died away inside her, much faster than was usual. With a super-powered hop, she was able to position herself on a branch underneath the rat. She carefully extracted the tiny little bundle of black. The mouse was so light that she would have been easy to carry even for a non-super. Anastasia curled up into a tight little ball in the collie's arms, shaking a little each time Firewing jumped down to a lower branch, as if worried she would fall.
When she was back on land, Firewing helped stand the little mouse up (barely came up to her breasts, she noted) and brushed off all the needles, leaves, and other plant debris off of her clothes, using a tiny bit of flame here and there to burn up a twig that didn't want to pull out easily. Anastasia, a little unsteady on her feet, finally pulled back the hood of her sweater and looked into the eyes of her rescuer. The look in her eyes immediately made Firewing brace herself.
"Oh. My. God. You're Firewing!"
Hell, she had to be a groupie. Firewing was suddenly very glad that the mask hid it when she rolled her eyes.
"I can't believe I was rescued by you." The mouse launched herself forward into a tight hug around Firewing's waist with a squeal. Firewing had to keep looking at her face to remind her that the mouse was close to her own age and not fifteen, like she acted. "I mean, I'm a huge fan! The first out woman super. You've been such an inspiration."
Firewing relaxed a bit like that. Coming out last year had been a big deal and she still received letters from women of all ages thanking her for her courage and telling her how much it meant to them. Honestly, it made the teasing and off-color jokes from the other supers in the League worth it.
Firewing pushed the mouse out a little further away to get a good look at her. There was a lot more color in her face than her clothes. While her fur was a delicate silver, her hair was dyed black with emerald green tips, and the same shade of emerald could be seen in her eyes. She had a few piercings in her ears and there was a way oversized dog collar around her throat, adorned with spikes. As Firewing took those details in, the collie was also making sure there were no injuries. Despite all the damage that had been done to her clothes, her fur and hair seemed surprisingly unruffled.
"I'm glad you're okay," Firewing said in her most media-practiced voice. "Emergency services will be here soon, but I have to leave." She felt the flames burst out along her arms, prepping for flight.
"Wait! You're just going to leave me here?"
Firewing felt a little tug at her heart when she was told to wait. The flames stayed on her arms, but she didn't move. "I have to stop Metalhead."
"Can't you take me home?" The mouse's voice was sweet and frightened at the same time.
"You'll be fine," Firewing said, trying to be extra soothing.
"It's dangerous."
The collie felt a spark of fear within her. The mouse was truly scared and that fear was a little infectious. "Don't worry. He's certain not to return here and rescue should--"
"Not for me. For you."
Firewing blinked. "What do you mean?"
The mouse crossed her arms and looked sheepishly down at her feet. "I know a lot about supers, thanks to you. Metalhead always works alone, right?"
The collie nodded.
"Well he's not right now. When he brought me here, he kept saying something about the Weaver."
Firewing felt a chill inside her as her fear spiked higher. Sure, she could handle Metalhead on her own, but him plus another super, one who Firewing had never heard of and had no idea the powers of, was something that might require the effort of the League.
"Please," the mouse said and she shivered. "Take me home."
Firewing's resistance melted. She never felt cold anymore, not since she got her powers, but she could see that Anastasia was not nearly dressed for the night. She might even catch hypothermia out here. And Firewing couldn't be sure how long it would take anyone to arrive. Or if they'd even be prepared to help when they did. Or...
Okay, she had to help.
She beckoned the mouse forward and hefted her into her arms. The mouse curled into a little ball in her grip, one cheek pressing gently against the collie's breasts. Then carefully, carefully, Firewing took off. The flames within her didn't have to burn and hurt, but controlling them so they wouldn't took extra effort. She was glad the mouse stayed mostly quiet. When she asked where the mouse's home was, Anastasia twisted just a little in her grip and pointed to a spot in Stola Heights.
"Circle over the city," Anastasia said suddenly. "I've never seen it from this perspective."
Normally, Firewing would have put her foot down -- metaphorically speaking, of course -- and said no, but she could not resist the feeling of glee in the mouse's voice. She lifted a shoulder and banked into a slow, spiraling descent over an upscale residential neighborhood. Anastasia pointed her into a quiet, dark backyard, where Firewing set down a few moments later.
As the mouse hopped out of her arms, Firewing gawked at the house. "Do you live here?"
"Oh, yeah."
"Alone?"
The mouse giggled and nodded. It was a big house. Not a mansion by any means, but the living room, fully visible thanks to a floor-to-ceiling window, was larger than most suburban houses. "Yeah. I'm a therapist. I have a lot of real rich customers and I'm real good at my job. Come in. I'll get you something to drink."
Firewing's feet were moving before she'd even really thought about it, following the sashaying mouse into the warm, friendly environment of the home. The room was lit by soft, blue light coming up from small bulbs set near where the wall met the floor. There was a large rough-hewn stone chimney, white walls, plush carpeting, and a high ceiling with exposed beams. All the furniture was in the same shade of dark grey, dark blue slate. The interior decorator alone must have cost more than what Firewing made at her day job in a month. As Anastasia walked in, the lights brightened a little, showing the dining table and kitchen that were a little further away, all in the same big room.
Firewing was still staring, wondering if the art on the walls was worth more than the art she herself owned, when she was handed a glass.
"Drink up," the mouse said, clinking her own glass to the collie's.
"I don't..."
"Drink up," the mouse repeated, and Firewing shrugged and tilted the drink in, swallowing it all in one gulp. It was fruity and cool, with the barest hint of alcohol at the back.
"Not bad," Firewing said.
"Take a seat. You need a break and maybe I'll remember something else useful," the mouse said.
Firewing nodded and took a seat. She should really be getting in contact with the League, but the mouse was right. She needed a break. As she settled into the chair, she noticed another piece of art in the corner: it was a picture of her, flying through the sky.
"I told you I was a big fan," Anastasia said with a giggle. She pulled her own chair up so she was almost touching the collie. "Now, come on. Tell me about your day. I never get to hear about supers except what gets told to the media, and I'm sure there's better stories that you can't tell them."
So Firewing chatted. She talked about dealing with the Icarus Twins earlier that day and Dr. Demented the day before that. She shared some bad jokes that got passed around the League and told how much of a sexist pig the Amazing Wolf could be. She noticed Anastasia's hand on her thigh and was about to protest, but the mouse told her to keep talking about her job and so she ignored it. The more she talked, the easier it was to talk more. With Anastasia's coaxing she was soon confessing things she thought she'd never tell anyone else: her unrequited love for Femme Fatale, who was sadly straight, and how her first girlfriend had broken up with her once she'd learned she was a super. She talked about trouble at her day job, before freezing, realizing she had just revealed part of her secret identity.
"Don't worry about it," Anastasia said. It was now her voice that was so soothing. "I won't tell anyone."
"Of course." Firewing instantly relaxed. Of course Anastasia wouldn't tell.
"It's important to have someone you can trust completely," the mouse continued. She was sliding a finger along the rim of her own glass, legs crossed, her feet playing with Firewing's own in a way that made the collie blush. Firewing was hardly paying attention to the words. She just nodded as the mouse spoke, agreeing with everything. "Once you have trusted completely, you can accept completely. Once you have accepted completely, you lose so many worries. If you trust in me, I can look after those worries for you. Now, take off your mask."
Firewing's hands shook a little as they lifted. She'd never taken off her mask for anyone who wasn't a super before.
"Trust me. Take off your mask."
That was right. She had to trust. She had to trust Anastasia, because Anastasia told her to. And the mouse's gentle touch, caressing her thigh so intimately was making any objections hard to think about. She reached up and slipped the mask off her face, feeling that tingling feeling as the nanotech disengaged from her fur.
"You see. That feels much better."
Firewing smiled. It really did feel better, showing her true face to this lovely mouse. Anastasia was sitting in so close to her now, the look in her eyes making her feel a little flushed and happy at the same time. No one had looked at her that way in so long. She had missed it.
"Be honest with me," the mouse began, and Firewing could think of nothing but how much she wanted to be truthful. "You think I'm attractive, don't you?"
Firewing did not even bother to blush. She nodded fervently and blurted out, "Yes," perhaps a bit louder than she had intended. The mouse had a smooth curve to her form, something that Firewing could imagine and was imagining fitting in perfectly against her own body. That silver fur uncovered. Maybe those emerald eyes staring deep into her own as the mouse ate her out, or as she ate the mouse out. She'd never done that before, but she would for Anastasia.
"I think you're extremely beautiful too. I'd like you to do something more to show how much you trust me."
Firewing's floppy collie ears perked up. "Of course. Whatever you want."
"Get naked for me, Firewing."
The collie finally did blush, but she wasn't about to say no. She trusted the mouse. She stood up and reached around to unhitch the opening of the nanotech suit.
"No, no." The mouse looked her over as the collie paused. Anastasia was biting her lip, thinking, her hand swirling the tiny bit of liquid at the bottom of her glass around. "Strip," she commanded sharply. "Strip for me." And this time she emphasized the last word.
Firewing was incapable of blushing any more than she already was, not without flames alighting from her ears (which they almost did). She found her hips swaying a little as her tail wagged excitedly. She ran a hand over her hips, up around the curve of her breasts, and to the collar of the suit. She peeled it open down to her navel and then, with a throaty moan, to her hips, leaving her sex just barely covered. Firewing had never been more thankful than right then that her suit did not require her to wear anything underneath. Her hands reached up to the top of the suit and began pulling it off of her chest, leaning forward so her breasts fell out forward towards the mouse, who gave her own throaty murr of appreciation. The lustful glint in Anastasia's emerald eyes spurred her on. Firewing quickly got the suit off her top half and then wiggled her hips seductively from side to side as she pulled the suit down her hips, revealing her sex. Then she hurriedly tore the suit off her legs and sat back down, panting a little from the rush.
Anastasia got off her seat and slid forward into Firewing's naked lap. She gently held the collie's chin and stared deep, eye to eye. "What is your true name, Firewing?"
"Claire Cavendish," the collie said. There was no hesitation.
"You trust me completely, don't you?"
"I do."
The mouse pushed in to a deep, powerful kiss that took the collie a bit by surprise. "And now that you trust me completely, you can accept all that I tell you is true."
Firewing just nodded, not fully understanding.
"You love me," the mouse said simply, and the collie knew it was true. Of course she loved her. "You love me more deeply than you have ever loved anyone else."
Firewing groaned and leaned forward, nuzzling against the mouse's cheek and kissing lightly here and there.
"I am your girlfriend, your lover, maybe someday even your wife." The mouse's voice was a little husky due to the collie's paws sliding under her sweater, starting to grope her and slip the clothes off of her. "But to me, you aren't just Firewing or Claire. Do you know what else you are?"
Firewing paused with her hands trying to undo the mouse's belt so she could shake her head.
"You're my Firepuppy. My puppy. Loyal and loving and lusting and totally, absolutely obedient."
Firewing shivered from her ears to the tip of her tail, which started wagging hard a moment later. "I am your puppy, my love," she said and meant it. She gave a pair of playful barks to show how truthful she was being.
"And what does every puppy need..." The mouse was now naked from the waist up, and her pants and panties were caught up around her knees as Firewing kept trying to disrobe her. The only other thing she still wore was that oversized collar, which she slipped off and around Firewing's neck instead. It fit perfectly. The collie felt so happy: her first gift from her new girlfriend, but she didn't have anything to give her back. Nothing but her obedience.
Anastasia stood and let the collie finish stripping her down. She toyed with her black-and-emerald hair around one finger and bit her lip as she looked down at the collie. "Stay kneeling. That's where good puppies belong when they're with me." She lifted a leg onto Firewing's -- no, Firepuppy's -- shoulder and used her heel on the small of her back to push the collie in until her lips met the mouse's sex. The collie moaned in delirious pleasure and started licking. "That's a good girl," Anastasia said. "And you will call me Mistress, or Mistress Anastasia, or perhaps sometimes the Weaver."
The collie blinked and pulled back from that heavenly sex to ask, "Weaver?"
Anastasia pushed her in again and didn't speak until the collie's tongue had gotten back to work. "Oh yes. Sorry for not mentioning earlier, but I'm a super too. My power is in mind control. I can't make anyone do what I want right away. But the more someone does what I say, the less they can resist in the future. With enough time I can turn even the most powerful super into my personal sex slave, just like I'm doing to you." She snapped her fingers and pointed to the ground. "On all fours, Firepuppy, and jill yourself to orgasm as you lick my feet."
Firepuppy, even knowing she was caught in the mental web of the Weaver, couldn't do anything but obey. She loved her too much. She got on all fours, reached back and started fingering herself hard while her tongue lapped the top of the mouse's foot. The motions ground her chest against the carpet, where the soft carpet teased her nipples.
Anastasia giggled and reached down to pat the moaning collie's head. "I'm not even that interested in doing much with my powers, besides making enough money to keep myself comfortable. But I knew I wanted you. I've always wanted you. You were such an inspiration for me and so beautiful at the same time. Don't worry. I won't interfere with your hero work. But when the day is done, you will return to me and be my collared, owned Firepuppy."
The collie grunted, her whole body thrusting forward with each push of her fingers. "Yes, Mistress. Thank you for owning me."
"Good girl. Cum for me."
Firepuppy thrust her fingers deep and curled them inside her. She let out a howl of pleasure as her body quaked in orgasm, and afterwards, she laid in a relaxed all-fours position, panting hard like the puppy she was. The collie barely even flicked an ear as a long leash was attached to her collar.
A moment later, all along her back, from her mane of hair to the tip of her wagging tail, a soft fire broke out, flickering gently in her contentment. Anastasia tentatively pet over the collie's head, surprised that the fire, while warm, did not burn in the slightest. "My beautiful puppy."
Firepuppy woofed in appreciation of the praise.
The mouse stood and tugged the collar to get her new puppy up onto all fours and ready to walk. "I have so much to teach you about serving your Mistress, girl. I have a whole dungeon downstairs waiting to train you on each and every kink of mine." That got a hearty wag from Firepuppy's tail. "But first, I think, I want to give you a strap-on and see how those super-powered hips feel in bed."
