Karashi's memory.
This is when another memory came into play, in the form of role play and it will be posted below.
Karashi moves over and cautiously sniffs at Mortus.
MortusDraco just sits splayed out on the couch, relaxed as he could be. He's either being unobservant, or apathetic.
Karashi glances around and sees that nobody else is around, so she pushes forwards, and gently bumps up against the other, trying to get his attention.
MortusDraco seems not to be paying much attention to the other . . . That is until his tail slithered around and poked the feline looking one, and then went back down onto the couch. One gleaming purple eye was now peering up at Karashi.
Karashi hadn't noticed the tail, her eyes had been on his hands and upper body to make sure he didn't suddenly grab her... but she was not at all prepared for the tail. She jumped a bit, and sunk away for a moment, before moving closer again. She sniffed at him, then when she tried to speak she remembered she couldn't. She went and fetched the left out notebook and pencil and came back over, on all fours and began to write. 'Excuse me, sir.. would you um.. would you be so kind as to brush my hair and tails please?' She had short, black and red hair that stopped just above her shoulders, and three somewhat fluffy tails. They definitely needed a good brushing. She tried to show him the note, with a hopeful look in her eyes.
MortusDraco seemed to grin a bit at seeing the female jump, having derived some enjoyment from surprising her. The currently open eye then follower the other as she went about fetching a notebook, and then bringing it back to write something for him to read. The large electric purple orb blinked, and was then accompanied by the second one. His tongue flicked out to dampen his mouth as he read the note . . . Then silence as he stared at the Xurian . . . Followed by a nod, one clawed hand moved itself over to pat a little empty spot on the couch, or at least it was little in comparison to a creature as large as he. The spot was made larger as the dragon scooched himself a bit, allowing a bit more room for the other to sit upon all comfy-like.
Karashi made sure to bring her own brush, something she had recently found in her searches to try and figure out where she'd come from. She'd gone back to the place she'd been left off, and found this item. It bore some language on it, none of which anybody could recognize and definitely not herself. But it was a fine brush, meant for fur like hers, and it would smooth nearly any fur to a silky perfection. She smiled widely at his nod, almost filled with joy at the thought of some comfort. She hopped up to the spot he pat, and showed him the brush, eyes merely saying, 'Thank you.' And then she sat down and waited, her three tails splayed out behind her, and her ears splayed to allow him to have access to her hair.
MortusDraco blinked his eyes once again at seeing the fancy and ornate brush. Huh. The male sniffed at the air as the other moved to sit down with him, not particularly at anything in general either, just about the general area. One hand lifted up and carefully took the little brush with those sharp claws, showing a great amount of grace with such a dangerous thing. His other hand moved to be placed upon Karashi's head, and then he ran his claws down through the hair, careful not to harm the other as he got out any large knots or things of the sort that might be annoying. Once this initial sort of warm-up brushing was done, the real brush was brought up to the hair next! He started out a bit awkwardly, not really getting a whole lot done efficiently, but eventually he found a good grip and started making smooth strokes, un-messying that hair right on up!
Karashi watched his careful grip with her precious item and she smiled on the inside, happy to see that he at least cared enough to be delicate with her and her items. As his claws ran through her hair, he'd find little to no resistance at all, maybe a couple of minor inconveniences. However, it was just because her hair was a bit disheveled and out of order, frizzeled even. She visibly relaxed at the brush made contact with her hair.. and she felt some strange familiarity, something she hadn't felt before. Like a dejavu that she couldn't quite place. A memory, that was missing. She frowned for a moment, but her eyes eventually closed and she relaxed even further. She'd have purred, but she was a mute so she couldn't. She sat there, silent yet happy. Her body leaned back into the brush and him. Her face scrunched up a bit, as a memory was starting to surface, and it was causing her some gentle head pains.
MortusDraco kept on with being careful, as he was a large dragon with sharp claws, using a tiny (At least for him) little brush on a creature he assumed was soft and not very scratch proof. His brushy brushing became less awkward as time went on, even seemingly getting to the point of there being a human doing the brushing! A human whose body was covered in scales, and breathed loudly. Now that the task was set, this dragon was focused on doing it well, every little curl out of place, all those bunches and of the like were eliminated on sight! He was almost getting a little too focused on his new objective, until he noticed a little bit of an uncomfortable looking face, naturally he assumed that he was getting too carried away, and slowed it all down and moved the brush is smooth, clean strokes all the way down. He didn't want to go and pull her hair out or anything . . . Although he did pride himself on whether or not he could make it look all nice and neat! So he continued until he had performed the best brushing ever! Brushy, brushy, brushy~.
Karashi kept her eyes closed, and for a bit she relaxed. But her eyes soon opened, and what had been previously a nice icy blue color, her eyes were now a pale white with only a single black pupil and black outline around the iris. She seemingly stared off into the distance, and she truly hoped he didn't stop brushing because it was bringing back a memory of her childhood. She was sitting there, with two unseen and unheard people, one of which was holding the brush and brushing the short amount of hair she had. They were in a garden area, in front of a training field where what looked like a bunch of her own species were training, sparring and fighting. However, her focus was on one in particular. No noises could be heard, and his features could barely be made out, but his color was clear. White and blue, in comparison to her own white and red. What she didn't know, was that she was currently watching her own brother train, not long before the eradication of her species occurred. The memory soon faded away, and she snapped back into reality, the blue in her eyes returning as her vision did as well. She sat there, mostly unmoved and trying to figure out what she had just seen. She glanced up at him, and wrote on the note pad, 'My memories..they're returning slowly. I'm not one-hundred percent one what I just saw, but I know it was of my past. Will you please continue, good sir?'
MortusDraco kept that smooth motion of going down, lifting off and up, and then bringing it all back down. It had all become so smooth and rhythmic that one could of been lulled to sleep if they watched it for long enough. The scaled beast, thankfully, was not focused on the motion, rather than what the motion was changing. What went on with her eyes went unnoticed by the larger male, as he only glanced over to make note of the expression, not wishing to cause any sort of pain. All of this was quite relaxing to him, but it was just so quiet . . . Here was a lovely little moment that could be bettered by a little bit of sound~. A moment was taken to think of a tune that was wanted, and then to be hummed, only that the second part of the two was not quite fully reached. He took a deep breath in and then started to vibrate his chest with noise . . But then the female started to move now, and those large bright eyes followed along with the movement, reading the paper and promptly stopping before he could really start. Seeing that she was apparently starting to remember things, it was decided that it would be best if the humming was saved for another time, and so a nod was given, and the brushing continued in the same fashion as before. Slow. Gentle . . . Calming~.
Karashi kept her eyes closed as she let herself relax and lean into the brushing, feeling it smooth out her hair and straighten it, the brush melding perfectly to her hair style and once it moved to her tails, to her fur. It was a special brush, crafted specially for her. She didn't know it, but the words inscribed on the back of the brush, was her name. Written in an ancient form of Japanese that had long been lost, special to her species. She began to remember again, the same scene. Except, now there were sounds and her eyes returned to that strange white color. And this time, her middle tail began to glow a gentle white color, barely noticeable against her own fur but it was definitely there. She heard voices, and a strange language. She saw the figure clearly now, a strange white and blue male. Very strong, and clearly much older than herself. He was fighting three others at once, with his eyes closed, and just one hand. He barely avoided a few hits, and took one to the chest, but he managed to win in the end. And suddenly, she uttered the word, "Brother.." It was soft, gentle, and quiet. She hadn't even realized she'd said it, but when she tried to speak again, her words were gone once more as were her noises. She frowned, and spoke the same word again, "Brother." It was.. odd. She could only utter that one word, and she had no idea why. Was this strange man her brother? Why was he so important? Wasn't he dead like the rest of her family and species anyways?
MortusDraco now being more aware of the fact that this little act that he was doing, thought to be nothing more than a relaxing and comforting little act, was turning into something more therapeutic. Huh. Regardless, on and on he continued with his brushing! The main of her hair was about done, so the dragon would direct his efforts to another place that needed peace and order to be brought in. This would be the tail! It was now that he noticed he maybe should have started here, seeing as it was glowing and all now, but hey, people didn't back away from him just because he smoked from the mouth and nose . . . At least not regularly. So he just went about fixing up the hair upon the tail gently, working any knots out without bringing notice as best he could manage, and lining everything up to be even now. Should he have been asked to stop suddenly, it'd almost be hard to do. He had gotten so far in making a majority of the hair on this one neat and orderly, so you couldn't just let the rest be a mess! Nope nope nope, this dragon was tasked with a taskful task, and he'd complete it, else his OCD kill him. His "ears", if you could call them that, perked up at the noise being made . . . Wasn't this little one a mute, incapable of speech? Oh, but then he remembered that what he was doing was probably a memory trigger, or something like that. The large scaled beast turned his head to rub a hair off his snout, then returned to facing the other as she went on a sort of adventure. Just what? He hadn't a clue, but more than likely he'd hear, or rather, read of it soon enough . . . And if not, oh well, wasn't exactly his business, but what was would be the brush. Brush. The smooth rhythm of his brushy brushing!
Karashi had three tails in fact, all of equal length and shape and fur. However, there were differences. Each one had a Japanese Kanji symbol, except the middle one. The middle tail, the glowing one he was brushing, had two. A black and white one, the white slightly darker in color to stand out in her fur. The left-most tail had a red fire Kanji, the middle tail was light and darkness and the right most tail was lightning, a light blue color. Her memory continued, as the stranger approached her then, sweating and breathing heavily. She watched, almost entranced as if the male was some sort of... future lover. She didn't know herself currently. The man in her memories knelt down, and pressed his nose against hers, and stared into her eyes knowingly, as if he knew she was witnessing a memory and not actually there. "You will remember in time, sweet sister. Be calm, and patient." Were the words he said to her in the English language, yet.. these words could be heard to all whom were around her. Including herself. Tears welled in her eyes, and she called out, "Brother!" She said, as her eyes snapped back to blue almost harshly and she went to hug him as the memory vanished. She sat there, not having moved too much, and was absolutely lost at what had just happened. She had a BROTHER?! How did he know she was silently? How.. what was going on? She frowned, as the memory was ingrained into her mind, as were his words. "You will remember in time, sweet sister. Be calm, and patient." She stared at the floor, her tails idly, and barely, swishing as they were brushed. But unfortunately, that was where her memories ended once again, a black void and a pain in her brain. She once again was mute, only able to say "Brother." She began to write down out on the notepad what she had just seen to Mortus, and showed it to him. She didn't know who he was, but.. she felt obligated to tell him since he was brushing her tails, and effectively the one who had caused the memories to resurface. Also, she felt weird if she'd just done all that without letting him know what happened or why. So she wrote it all down, in vivid detail, and showed it to him to read.
MortusDraco swished his own tail, which was off of the couch due to being too long to set upon it, as he dutifully continued on with his task whilst the smaller of the two had her flashback . . . And uhh, a flashback with surround sound? Damn, he wanted that just as much as he wished for it to never happen at all. So in essence he brushed that thought aside and actually focused on what had just been uttered unto the area from seemingly nowhere. Once again his tongue flicked out to wet the outside of his mouth and he tilted his head to the sided, like a canine sort of animal in curiosity. Sitting here now with what was once thought of as a mute, but now only partially, as she could now utter the word "brother". He was then rewarded with an explanation on exactly just what occurred, other than remembering stuff. He read on in dead silence, managing to continue brushing without being aware that he was still doing that, as was sometimes typical of this particular scaly to do. Once again there was silence as the male read on, either very slowly or double checking over everything to make sure he understood it all. Then, after all had been 'explained' to him, he gave the other a nod "Interesting." Came a voice deep enough to work for a dragon, but still believable for that of a young human. At this point in time he was finishing up the last tail upon this Xurien, all the while pondering over what he had just witnessed."Very interesting indeed. What do you think of it all?" He asked, once again returning with that head tilt you'd see in a canine, or perhaps feline.
Karashi only sat there as she felt the brushing finish, and she grasped her tails gently, and then felt up her hair and smiled up at the dragon. She gently took the brush away from him, when he was done and she hugged tightly to her body. She listened to him and then frowned, but she only shrugged. She wasn't quite sure yet, she needed time for the memories and stuff to settle in so she could think on it properly. She moved up and gave him a friendly kiss on the cheek, and pulled away and wrote down, 'Thank you so much. But I need to go sleep on this..' She showed him notepad, let him read, then waved as she walked off, clutching that brush visibly tighter. She made her way back to the lounge, as it was currently the only place she had to sleep. She had no home, or ..well she knew she had family now, but had no idea where he was or even if he WAS truly real or not. She.. just ended up passing out in a beanbag somewhere.
Since then, she has been on the search for her brother Ralkion, as has he for her. It is unknown what will happen when the two meet, but it's likely he has the cure for her being mute. As he is not one himself. She has faced many pains and losses already, and many fun experiences and adventures; and she is even learning how to wield her magic and bo-staff, inexperienced as she is.
(To be continued in the next role play!)
