Chapter 1: A visit in the night
#1 of The House in Red
"Wake up, little brother." The soft and warm voice brushed the ears of the young white wolf. He sat up in bed then, a look of confusion on his face and quickly looked around the dark room. The alarm near his bed said it was just past midnight, and the soft blue light of the moon outside dimly lit his room through the open window near is bed. He just sat there for several moments, not sure as to if the voice he heard was real, or just a part of his previous dream. It had been a good dream. A simple dream. One where his family was together again and there was little else happening other than the day to day activities of life. The sort that left you with a warm sort of feeling when you woke up. He still felt this feeling, even though the slight chill of the breeze from his open window. Though, a moment later, he felt the soft warm brush of breath and the words again in his ear. "I said wake up. Not sit there looking confused and absent." The wolf's ears then shot up and he looked behind him to where a dimly lit white figure was stood in the corner of his room, just by his bed. The smirk on his lips somehow clearly visible in the moonlight, even as the rest of the room was cast in shadow. The wolf then just stared at him, knowing he knew the voice, then quickly became more alert as he put it to a face, the realization then clearly visible on him. The figure in the corner then laughed and reached forward to ruffle his hair, his smirk now looking more fond and amused as he knew he had been recognized. "Hey little brother. Rise and shine. We have things to be doing tonight. Surely you can't have forgotten our plans." The figure almost purred as he leaned forward into the moonlight, showing the face of the boy's older brother. They looked similar, getting their features more from the feminine of their mother than the rougher look of their father; though having gotten his brilliant blue eyes.
After a long moment, the young boy stretched and smiled back at his brother, a fond, if not hesitant, look on his face as he did. "Hey, Alec... What are you doing in my room?" He mumbled tentatively, though the confusion in his eyes still evident, as he was pretty sure they had no plans. In fact, his brother had been kicked from the house over a year prier. And he was pretty sure Alec was not meant to have come back here. "Oh don't be like that, Shiro. If you didn't want people coming into your room you surely wouldn't have left your window unlocked. And already told you. We have plans tonight. So you'd better hurry and get up. Or we're going to be late." Alec said, a wide grin on his face as he held out one of his soft paws. Shiro hesitated for a moment before nodding and taking the paw, then standing a bit shakily as he tried to push the sleep away from his mind. He then walked over to his closet and opened it, starting to look for clothing before he heard a soft tisk. He then felt a paw grab his tail and absently drag him from the closet towards the open window. "If you wanted to be dressed you should have already been ready when I got here. Seriously, little brother. We don't have the time for this. Besides, you look cute enough in your silly little blue panties. Talk about being a fag though." Alec laughed as he pulled harder on Shiro's tail, causing him to fall back lightly and stumble. Alec then aptly caught him and churred as he turned them both and pushed Shiro unceremoniously out the window into the dark blue of the night, much to the distress of the young half naked wolf. "H-hey!" shiro yelped as he fell face first out onto the ground. He rolled over quickly then with a growl before realizing he had landed on a soft blanket outside his window. This detail then only making more more annoyed as he quickly jumped up, but instead of making some annoyed remark, just started shivering. The shock of the cool night air after having been warm in bed making him pause for a long moment. Alec then climbed out the window after him a moment later and quietly shut it before then turning with another smile at the now shivering wolf. "See? You can trust me. I wouldn't push you onto the cold hard ground." He said casually as he took off his large black hoodie then tossed it at Shiro, who caught it and quickly put it on. Shiro just turned and grumbled a bit, not showing any thanks out of spite, but repressed a smile as he hugged himself. His older brother always had the best hoodies. The type that were big and warm and very soft on the inside, and with the single big pocket on the front. He instinctively put his paws in the pocket to hide them from the cold to find something cold and metal feeling there. He pulled it out as he stood there and then couldn't help but smiling as he found a small foil wrapped sweet. It was a type of chocolate that Shiro knew couldn't be found in this city and that he nearly never got to have. He unwrapped it then and put it in his mouth before putting the foil back in the pocket and turning to his brother, his ears then perking back a little and his tail wagging behind him, giving away the fact that he was finding he quite missed his brother. "S-so.." He mumbled as he watched his brother stretch and fold up the blanket before tucking it under a nearby shrub, presumably for safekeeping. "Where are we going, Alec? You've mentioned plans a few times but I'm pretty sure we didn't have any.." Alec turned back to him as he started to speak and just smiled again with his warm but mischievous smile. The one that always got him whatever he wanted. "I'm going to take you to a club, little brother. I always did promise I would. And I think you're just old enough now to enjoy it. See? We totally had plans." He said cheerily before taking Shiro's paw and leading him to the sidewalk, turning left then and walking towards the distant town. Shiro didn't find it at all surprising, because he was well aware Alec had no car. Even though they lived outside of town in a small neighborhood. It was nice and quiet and near the waterfront, though the community members ended up being the reason Alec was asked to leave home. He was always getting into some sort of trouble and seemed to like trying to get out of it, even if it made things difficult for everyone else in the process. He had the girly good looks that everyone seemed to like, while still being tall and handsome. Shiro had gotten the same sort of traits and they looked a lot alike in face and body type, though Shiro was several inches shorter. Which he always kind of hoped was just because of their slight difference in age. Though Shiro had a much more feminine body to where he was sometimes mistaken for a girl until it was seen that he had no breasts. Shiro always quite liked this, however. He never had the mischievous attitude of his older brother, but he was cute enough to where he was generally popular and had no trouble making friend and being invited places, even with his much shyer personality.
They continued to walk for nearly a half hour. They talked a little bit, Shiro pestered his older brother about where he had been and stuff about his life, to which Alec was mostly vague. He said he had been away but had found a new sort of family and had a good income of money and was in no danger or anything, or involved in any sort of gang. Shiro somehow doubted this, but didn't question his brother further. It was quite a nice night for a walk, too. So they spend a good bit of the time just looking around and enjoying the night air. Once Shiro got used to the chill it wasn't really cold, and the hoodie kept him more than warm enough. They started coming up on a hill then, and Shiro could hear the waterfront which he assumed was nearby, perhaps even visible from the top of the hill even though he could tell they weren't really near the town like he had expected. After a few more minutes, though, Alec had him stop and kneeled in front of him. Shiro had a hard time not looking at his brother, even though he made him blush a little bit. Alec just smiled again then a bit sheepishly before speaking. "You trust me, right? Cus you'll need to trust me here. Alright?" He said, his tone sporting his signature mischievous twinge. Shiro just blinked in confusion for a moment before quickly nodding. He knew his brother had always had a soft spot for him and would never mean him any harm. And, moreover, his brother had always been the only one who really pampered him which he couldn't help but love. Alec would bring him sweets or toys and things of that sort all the time even if the occasion wasn't special. Something his father never did. And Shiro always thought it was just because Alec liked to see him smile. "Of course I trust you, big brother. You know I've really missed you.. It's been kind of miserable since you left. Dad doesn't let me do much and always seems angry since.." Alec quickly put a finger over Shiro's mouth, knowing where this was going. "Good. Then follow me and keep your mouth shut, okay? Just trust me and do what I say. And I promise you'll have a good time tonight." He said gently, in a voice that was slightly uncharacteristic of him. Shiro just nodded again as his brother stood and started up the hill. He followed quickly, even though he was already a bit tired from walking for so long.
Upon reaching the top of the hill, he found his brother stopped there and looking down on a dark looking warehouse. Shiro hadn't seen it before, but assumed it was just one of the privately owned places that were common by the waterfront. There was a loading dock behind it, as it was right near the water. But the whole place seemed dark and abandoned. This prompted yet another confused look from Shiro, but he said nothing and just looked up to his brother for what they were to do next. Alec just ruffled his hair again before starting down the hill. The whole property was fenced off, but that didn't seem to deter Alec. This made Shiro start to worry that they were going to break into a private warehouse for a party of something, but Alec didn't seem worried. Though there was something on his face. Shiro blinked then as he realized his brother seemed nervous. This was uncommon for him. He always had a cocky look about him, never nervous. The look vanished as quickly as it had appeared, however, and they both stopped at the gate in the chain link fence. Alec just seemed like he was waiting there, and Shiro instinctively stepped closer to his brother, not liking the dark and creepy look of the whole thing. Alec looked down at him as he did and give him a reassuring half hug as he watched his brother's ears fall, knowing that that meant he wes uncomfortable. After a few moments though, a fox seemed to appear next to the gate as if out of nowhere. He was a chipper looking fellow, messy hair and a lopsided smile as was common with foxes. He and Alec exchanged looks, then the fox looked Shiro up and down with a grin. It wasn't till that moment that Shiro remembered that he had not put on pants and he was just stood there with a large black hoodie and dark blue panties on. He then felt his cheeks go a bright red, much to the amusement of the fox. But the fox then opened the gate silently and beckoned them towards the warehouse. Shiro and Alec then quickly walked towards it, but Shiro could feel the fox still watching them, and just knew that grin was still on his face. Shiro then looked at his brother with a look of shyness and indignation to what had just happened and started to say something about it, but Alec just shushed him again with a wink and whispered "Don't worry. He thought you looked cute." Before turning and walking into the warehouse, the big doors to it seemed to open on their own as they walked up to them.
