Alex snuck away when spike wasnt looking as everyone slept during the night. He manages to go outside and looks up at the moon as tears begin to come to his eyes. "Selena... please... be safe.... I... I cant lose you too...." He said as he softly sobbed "Alex..." Twilight said as she heard him slinking through the halls and had followed him. She knew his heart was Lunas now for sure. He cared so much for her, she knew he would do anything to protect her... even if Luna hated him in the end as long as he knew she was safe thats all he cared about. Twilight slowly approaches him and gently puts a hoove on his shoulder. "Dont worry Alex. Luna is a strong mare. She wont be beaten easily, she definitely learned to have a strong will power thanks to being with you. We will help you save her. After all... it was always you saving us. Its time we repay you back for the kindness you have shown us." Twilight said with a smile as Alex wipes his tears away "Shes right you know." Applejack said as her and the rest of the gang came out "I may not have known you long Alex, but... everyone here speaks highly of you.. they care alot about you. I myself was quite shocked to find out you and Princess Luna were romantically involved... but... from all ive heard from everyone here... you and her are so alike. Its now no shocker that you 2 were together." Starlight Glimmer says with a smile.

The sun slowly begins to rise as the moon disappears beneath the clouds. "See? If Luna wasnt alive.. the moon wouldnt be going down. Shes still alive and well. She is most likely waiting for you." Twilight says as she hugs Alex, he hugs her right back as everyone joins in the hug. "Right." Alex says with a smile as everyone goes off on their missions while he stays back with Spike and recoperates his injuries. "Thank you everyone... thank you..." He said as tears form in his eyes again as Spike leads him back.

In the Desert

Fluttershy and Discord slowly make their way through the ruins and soon find the large pulsing crystal. Discord easily smashes and makes the pieces dance because he thought it would be funny while Fluttershy cant help stifle a giggle at Discords antics.

In the Southern Mountains

"Why do we always get the worst jobs? My manicure is gonna freeze over!" Rarity complains "Be glad you dont have it rough as poor Alex!" Applejack states and Rarity just glares and sighs "We should be close to the crys..... thats one HUGE crystal!" Rarity exclaims as Applejack looks it over "How in tarnnation are we supposed to shatter this collossal beast?" Applejack asks as Rarity approaches it and shudders "Its definitely emitting some kind of evil aura. Just getting this close is giving me goosebumps. But if theres anything i know about these things is that every type of gem has a soft spot on it that can be used to break it!" Rarity exclaims as she inspects the crystal and then smiles "Applejack hit right here as hard as you can!" She says pointing to the side base of the crystal. Applejack grins and nods charging at it then twisting around and hitting it as hard as she could in that spot with her back legs. The crystal begins to crack all over and shatters! "Wonderful darling absolutely wonderful!" "YEHAW! Look at that thing shatter!"

In the everfree forest

Zecora leads Starlight Glimmer and Trixie to the location of the crystal she had spotted and used talasmins to ward off the evil energy it was emitting. "Why do we gotta be in this dank and creepy forest Starlight.. Trixie rather be anywhere but here." Trixie whines and Starlight looks over "Because i need you to help me Trixie. If we dont destory the crystal that creepy barrier could spread further and possibly destroy all of ponyvile and then the whole world. We cant let that happen." Starlight glimmer tells Trixie who huffs as they finally reach their destination and Zecora turns around and looks at them.

"We have arrived at the end of our journey, this place. To tumble the crystals, blows must be placed at the base." Zecora crypitcally speaks and walks off leaving Trixie and Starlight with the crystal "'Blows must be placed at the base.' Her rhyming really annoys me... Starlight? We shouldnt get to close..." Trixie says as she backs off as Starlight is right beside the crystal "Blows must be placed at the base...... THATS IT! We must strike the base of the crystal to break it! Trixie do you got any explosives in your trick bag?" Trixie just rolls her eyes "You have got to be joking right? Do you honestly think a tiny explosive is gonna break that huge thing?" Starlight grins "With a little magic yes i do." Trixie sighs and hands her the trick explosive and Starlight uses her magic to enhance its radius and damage and then they both flee from it and the crystal. The explosives lets out a loud bang but at first it doesnt look like it did anything but then the crystal begins to crack and then shattered! "See I knew your trick explosive would work!" Trixie just rolls her eyes at that

In the skies

Rainbow Dash flew all over the place trying to find this huge dragon running amuk "You'd think a big flying dragon would be easily spotable!" She states as she keeps flying around soon she sees it and gulps "I guess thats it.. Lets see if i can find that crystal." She tries her best to stay undetected as she keeps her distance. "There it is! But the reports were way off! The dragon doesnt got it attached, its just holding onto it.... which is weird." She flies to the front of the dragon "Sir? Or Ms? I need that crystal to be broken so can you break it?" The dragon doesnt even reply as he keeps flying past her "Hey! Dont ignore me! Im... wait... are you... sleep?" The dragon still doesnt reply as it keeps flying but its eyes were definitely shut. "Ok this is strange.... how is the dragon still flying and sleeping? Maybe that crystal has something to do with it. I should knock it off and make sure it breaks!" With blinding speed Rainbow dash hammers into the crystal, jarring it out of the dragons claw and it plummets and breaks upon contact with the ground. The dragon jarred up and looks around "Where am I? I remember being in my cave and then... nothing.... weird im going back." Rainbow dash smiles and she begins to make her way back to the friendship castle.

Outside of the friendship castle

Twilight sighs at Spike "Spike i need you to stay with Alex and keep him in bed." She tells him "No can do Twilight, i aint going to let you fight whatever this thing is alone. We are friends after all, what kinda friend would i be if i just let you go off alone?" Twilight sighs and rubs her temples "Fine Spike but only till we hit the meadows! Then you need to go back and check up on Alex, we cant have him running off trying to recklessly save Luna and possibily killing himself. That would be worse since Luna needs him now more then ever." Twilight states as they are the edge of Ponyvile now. "Now go back Spike and check up on Alex." She said and Spike sighs "Fine." He takes off back to the castle. Twilight heads into the meadows and begins to scower around, soon her head begins to hurt and she shakes it. "Yep... its definitely the effects of that crystal." She makes a purple bubble appear around her to protect her from the affects and follows the magical energy and soon finds the crystal as it keeps pulsing, soon a small barrier erupts around it. "Wha? A barrier? This must be the last one then, the other girls did it!" She said smiling as she began to focus her magical power so she could shatter the barrier and break the crystal. Soon she had enough magical force and fires it at the barrier, quickly the barrier shatters and the crystal breaks from the impact of the magical attack "YES!"

"TWILIGHT!!!" She turns around and sees Spike running toward her "Spike what did i..."

"HES GONE!!!"
