Meli blushed as she read out the card on the heart-shaped package, the light-furred tropical fennec unsure of what to make of the unexpected and seemingly anonymous gift. She wasn't even sure if the package was for her, having been left in the middle of the night on her door-step with barely more identification than what was on the rather small card.
The package itself merely had little more than a few heart-shaped bubbles in shades of red and pink across the front and back, plastic sealing up the edges where it would open. It seemed safe enough from that. After a few more minutes of pondering over who her secret admirer might be she finally shrugged the question off from her mind and took both the card and package inside, her curiosity shifting from who sent it to what might be inside.
"Let's see what this 'BGK' sent me..."
She made quick work of the thin packaging, snapping the box's plastic bindings open to reveal a carefully arranged set of individually wrapped heart-shaped bubble-gum pieces. Each one had a little heart in it - each different shades of pink and red like the bubbles on the front.
"Gum?"
She giggled as she picked up one of the pieces, unwrapping it slowly in her hand. She hadn't expected gum, especially in such a lovely heart package. Not to mention she wasn't one for gum, but the vixen figured it would be rude to ignore such a sweet gift from whoever had sent the package - and they obviously took a lot of effort to track down her rather isolated in-land cottage. Without any more pondering she flipped the piece of gum into her maw, tossing the wrapper aside for now.
She instantly felt a rush of flavor hit her, washing over her mouth and down her throat as soon as the gum had touched her tongue. The taste and sensation were unlike anything she had tasted before; a vibrant blend of so many different flavors assaulted her mind she could barely pick them apart. Her jaw seemed to move on its own, working even more of the flavor out - yearning for more and more.

Soon after the rush she had felt gave way to another as a warmth seemed to coat her, the flavor still growing in intensity with each chew.
