Vace closed his eyes and began to concentrate. "Fourteen. A few have decided to retreat so about nine will have to be killed for our mission to be technically accomplished," he breathed quickly, still keeping his eyes shut. Running wounds were all over his unprotected parts, catching Blizzard's eye.

"Where's Seth?" he asked again, beginning to become impatient. Seth was the only one that had the ability to take wounds from others and bring them onto himself, and since he was a radically fast healer it was one of his duties to help the others of the group.

"He's still on the western wall edge. He was good enough to hold the hostiles he encountered there," The lupine said. "He did surprisingly well this time sir. He was fast enough to kill, he didn't need to fold into the city," He continued, rather proud of the Omega.

The Alpha nodded and sighed, turning around to walk down the street then picking up speed. "Go see Seth and ask him to help you with your wounds!" Blizzard called over his shoulder and then hit his sprint through the city streets. The Gamma was out of sight by the time he started searching.

Just as Vace foretold, there was a very noticeable lack of hostile activity, but that didn't mean the blue husky wasn't able to pick out the scent of an active one. He inhaled deeply between bounds before a trail strongly caught him. The Alpha hit the road and skidded to a halt before going off down a short side street that was lined with small houses. There was a scream not far away but it wasn't one he had expected. This one was shallower and soft. It didn't sound like a hostile at all, and the sight that greeted him proved it.

Just as Blizzard came around a corner he stopped and his eyes pulled into a glare. A young girl rabbit not far into adult hood lay limp in a snarling beast's arms, blood pouring from her chest. Her blouse had been ripped open and a hole was there between her breasts. Blood oozed from the hostile's mouth whenever it would open its jaw to run its long dark red tongue across its lips, licking at the crimson liquid. The creature stood there lapping at its chops before it suddenly whipped its head around to stare at the Terveta and let out a triumphant roar.

"Damn it!" Blizzard growled between his gritted teeth. He was too late, the girl must have wondered outside to see if it was safe and was taken by surprise. Before the Alpha could react the creature whirled its head back to its prey and managed to fit the bunny's head between its powerful jaws before crushing it like an egg. Blood hit the snow and turned it red with the sound of a bucket of water being flushed out on the ground.

As soon as he saw the action Blizzard's paws began to glow a dark blue, and the flames shot up his arms like they were doused in gasoline. The hostile was torn between fleeing and eating, so it stood there, glancing back at the Terveta as it began to gnaw its way through the still warm flesh of the poor victim. Their hunger was a very strong instinct in them, and this time it was both a misfortune and a sanction. The beast didn't budge an inch as a plasma bolt was sent careening into its hard body, ripping it apart in a thunderous blue explosion. Even the girl was destroyed in the action, something he tried not to dwell on while he raced back through the city. There was a high-pitched wailing scream off a wais to his flank, but he recognized it as a hostile dying.

He ran as fast he could, the brick and stone structures all a blur to his vision. He was no locater like Vace was, but his other senses were so acute he was able to hear a familiar sound much further then any normal being could and could pick the scent of a single hostile from a conglomeration of hundreds. Several minutes went by of racing between buildings and even on top of them, leaping as high as he could to spot any of the beasts but had no such luck. A familiar and friendly smell wafted up to his nose at the peak of his jump, making him relax only a bit. His armored boots slammed down to the flat concrete surface of a rectangular building, cracking the surface before he stepped away from his landing. Vace looked at his leader while he stood a ways off; his arms crossed over his still bear chest with all of his wounds gone.

"What is it?" Blizzard asked calmly and smiled behind his facemask, having a good idea of what it was.

A sheepish grin started over the wolf's features as well, his eyes diverting while he took a moment to kick the toe of his footing into the roof he was standing on. "All hostiles have been killed, sir. Mission accomplished."
