The two others exchanged a look and then stared at him with mocking expressions. "We should warn you, Blizzard. Keisha went into her heat about a day ago and she's been pretty crazy ever since. Never comes out of her room, or lets anyone in, except Mae," Natasha said smirking.

Blizzard's mouth pulled down at the sides while he looked at the door just behind the two. "I'll take my chances," he chuckled and brushed passed them.

"I guess since hostiles aren't enough, you have to go trailing after our leader," Ice mocked and stuck his tongue out at him. Blizzard flipped him off with his middle finger as he pushed his way through the doors.

There were a few maids walking around and doing work that doubled as smaller personal guards for the Terveta leader. There seemed to be less and less the further into the building he went. The massive structure was a labyrinth of hallways and staircases that anyone without a decent knowledge of the insides could get lost in. Finally, with some searching Blizzard found the one staircase that he wanted, and began to climb it. He passed several others as they passed, giving the Alpha compliments all the way up.

It rose all the way to the very top floor of the structure, finally leading out into a single room that led nowhere else but to his mate's living quarters. The only other person that was there was a young vixen that sat in a chair just behind a wooden desk in the small square space.

Mae gave a start and gazed up at the blue husky through her thick glasses when she heard him approach her. Her eyes widened and she laid the book she had been reading down on the desk and stepped up to him. "May I help you, Blizzard?" She asked timidly.

He looked down at her with a warm smile and nodded. "I'd like to see my mate if that's alright with you," He answered. "She's in her heat right now, sir. She said she wasn't talking to anyone today but I'll go inside and ask," she said, turning to Keisha's door and walked inside.

Blizzard was alone then. He wondered over to her desk and stared down at the book she was reading. It was a thick encyclopedia that dealt with physics and chemistry. His eyebrow quirked up as he measured its dimensions by picking it up and flipping through the pages. He went to the very back and stared down at the last page. 1264. He blinked at the number for a moment and then he flipped to the page she was on. 890. She was more then halfway there. He just couldn't understand a Terveta such as her, being able to sit there and read such a book for hours so quickly without stopping. He didn't have a problem with reading, he'd gone through similar sized books--granted, it took him a while, but it was an encyclopedia! Surely it was boring, such as reading a dictionary or an address book.

"Blizzard?" Mae's voice cut into his thoughts, making him look to her. "She wants you to come in," she continued and squeezed her thin body out between a tiny crack that she allowed the door to open. The husky laid the book back down and stepped up to the entrance, giving a quick "Thank you" before he slipped inside.

The door clicked close behind him, which was loud in the now quiet room. The whole place was sound proof and very large. There were only three windows around the whole area, but they were permanently fogged up to allow a precise amount of light in, so it was like he was walking in a shadowy world. A massive bed was set against the far wall and floor was filled with pillows and stuffed plush animals all around. He wandered further into her domain and stared around, searching for her. Usually there were tell-tale signs of her presence, such as a shifting shadow or a pile of pillows pulsing. Even her bed was empty, the covers all flat and perfect.
