Chapter 2- Bad Dragon

Koda smiled as he finished his shift and hopped in his car. After nearly a month of neglect, his girlfriend finally messaged him a few days ago and invited him over for the night. Ignoring the bad feeling in his gut, he began taking the 6 hour journey.

While texting while driving was illegal, he had become fond of this Lizris person. They had messaged back and forth for days and Koda had been shocked at how different yet similar they were.

While Koda was American, Lizris was Australian. Koda was fond of going out on weekends with his AR-15 and blowing stuff up. Lizris preferred staying cozy and playing games. Koda enjoyed talking to his friend, even getting Skype to message faster. Currently, Lizris was explaining to the Shiba that females did not like clingy. Koda struggled to take the advice, he had to keep an eye on Zarah.

With a Take care from Lizris, and a Cake Tare from Koda, they went off to their own things for the weekend. Lizris went to his grandmother's, while Koda visited his sharkess.

July 16, 2015

The weekend had been anything but good. While Zarah's grandmother knew that her and Koda slept in the same bed, her grandmother did not take it happening in her house kindly, kicking out the young Shiba.

Koda also found out that his grandfather's fight with cancer had taken a sharp turn downhill. The old honey badger could no longer fight under consciousness and was reduced to a semi-comatose state. Koda and him were kept away from each other most of the Shiba's life and although didn't start hanging out till a year before, they bonded greatly. The Shiba was the only blood relative that would visit the badger.

Lizris had entered another bout of depression and had ruined his motivation to work on Koda's story. He looked at his monitor at home and sighed. "Maybe talking to him would help."

As it turned out, the two both cheered up after talking to each other. Between Lizris teasing Koda about being a Christian Scalie, and the Shiba calling him Lizzy, they had found enjoyment in each other's company.

August 1, 2015

The two had bonded even more. They messaged all day from when Lizzy woke to when Koda went to bed. That had worried the Armadillo Lizard when the Shiba suddenly vanished a half hour ago. Lizzy jumped up as soon as his friend finally started trying. The response however made his heart sink.

"My grandpa just died."

The Australian spent the following hours comforting the mourning Shiba. Koda was still unable to reach his girlfriend, so Lizzy kept him busy with both conversation, and sharing dragon porn.

The Shiba grinned as he stepped out of the airport for the last time. He knew he would miss his coworkers he called friends, but he was ready to not feel so insignificant. He already had a new job as a merchandiser lined up thanks to his grandmother being a head at the company. It was still a few weeks before training, and he was going to enjoy his time off.
