The sun glowed brilliantly in the clear blue sky, with not a single cloud hovering above. The sound of running water was nearby as a long river drained into of a lake. The water cascaded over small waterfalls and miniature rapids set there by the land. Birds soared overhead just as a wind picked up, which made the grass wave in long lines across the meadow that stretched out just in front of the lake. It was peaceful for the most part.

It was starting to finally feel like spring now after the relentless winter that had gone on. There was a splash in the lake followed by several others as a flat rock skipped across the shifting surface. Then just as the slab rose in the air mid arch it exploded into equal chunks right before a loud snap echoed about the area. The similar pieces jumped and hopped across the plane of the water like the first one had. Then in a quick succession each smaller pebble exploded one after another, followed by similar bangs as they were torn into dust that sank below the surface.

Blizzard watched with interest and smiled. "Very impressive, Mathew," He commented and pulled his knees up to his chest as he looked out across the lake where the rock had been blown apart. A large panther stood right beside him, strapped to his right arm was a large gun that stretched beyond his limb. The big cat laughed and looked down to the husky.

"It's amazing some of the things Dean does, isn't it? I never expected rail guns this powerful be so small," he said excitedly and then looked through the sight like before.

They were stationed upon a tall hill that looked over the whole lake, the view being spectacular. Mathew was the Alpha of Delta squad, and for the day, Alpha and Delta had gotten together down by the lake for some swimming and play.

Vace and Seth stood at the water's edge, both holding a mound of rocks in their paws. The black wolf picked one of the larger rocks from his quantity and hurled it hard across the surface of the water. It struck and bounced high into the air and just as it got at its peak it was shot and the same for the pieces it ruptured into. Seth sent out four of his smallest in a speed that was blinding, but even they were shot on their fifth bounce.

Mathew was one of the few Terveta that used Type-A abilities for offensive means; in fact it was the very reason he was made to be an Alpha. He could read directions with a hundred percent accuracy. He was able to take all of the variables into account for an object and pinpoint exactly where it would be when it would land or hit. On top of that, he had the quick ability of being able to see multiple outcomes just under a minute into the future. He was one of the most deadly warriors that used projectile weapons in the Terveta ranks, right there with Blizzard.

Bree was out on the lake floating on an inflatable platform as she soaked up the sun and relaxed. Crystal was out on a small sandy portion of shore that led into the lake, more or less doing the same. Two of Delta's warriors were wrestling in the field while the others played in the water far away from Mathew's target practice.

"Hey Blizz, did you check the spring timer?" Mathew asked as he began to load another magazine of bullets into his railgun. The blue husky shook his head and stood up, pulling his shirt down over his torso when it rode up.

"I haven't. Why?" he asked looking to the feline. The panther took time to aim and then accurately unloaded on the objects that were flung out onto the water a ways away.

"It's getting really low is all," he said without any fault in his voice.

"It won't be much longer now until the spring festival will be under way. I'm getting pretty anxious," he smiled and lowered his weapon after Seth and Vace were depleted of rocks.

"Why do you take such an interest in the spring festival?" Blizzard asked pushing his paws into the pockets of his jeans.
