Sea, Sand and Spirits
Another one of my charity stories, Tarras finds himself whisked away on a familiar cruise ship to enjoy a day drinking and having fun courtesy of Athear and Yoichi.

Tarras waited patiently on the edge of the dock, watching the boats go by as the warm ocean breeze blew through his long hair. In one hand was his phone, which he glanced at occasionally to check the time, and in the other was a ticket made from golden paper that flickered in the sunlight. It had been a week since he got the mysterious item in his mail, along with the notification that he had won a day of fun and sun at a newly-created bar that he had never heard of before on a small island. The fact that he had to wait for a boat to get there made it even stranger, especially since he didn't know of any islands nearby, which meant he was in for a long haul.
A few minutes before the boat was scheduled to arrive the sky suddenly went from clear blue with a few clouds to a dark gray overcast. The people around him began to talk of rain and started to move in from the possible storm, and though Tarras wanted to do the same, his ride was about to arrive very soon... at least he hoped. Then as he continued to wait he watched as a thick bank of fog rolled into the small harbor and dropped the visibility to near zero. With no ability to signal his presence the human wondered if they would even be able to see him, but as peered into the thick mist, he saw a shadow that slowly grew bigger as it approached him.
"Ahoy there!" a figure on the boat waved as it continued to get close. "You are Tarras I presume?" Tarras quickly answered back as he waved, only to stop when the figure finally grew close enough for him to see clearly.
What he had thought was a shadow on a figure on the boat turned out not to be a shadow at all, or at least not in the conventional sense. The creature that turned to greet him had the lower body of a snake and a humanoid upper torso, though even the top half looked more serpentine than human. What was even more bizarre was that it appeared to be made completely of liquid, its hand rippling all the way up to its elbow as Tarras shook the firm but squishy appendage. "My name is Athear," it introduced as it bowed low. "I have been commissioned to give you a day that you are sure to remember for the rest of your life, if you already haven't with my appearance."
"You could... certainly say that," Tarras replied as he continued to look the naga over in awe. "What are you?"
"Many things," Athear said with a chuckle. "The simplest description; however, is that I'm a demonic naga comprised entirely of liquid or goo, depending on the situation. My minions and I have been arranged to take you to your destination, so if you will kindly step aboard, we can get started right away."
Tarras wanted to ask more questions, but at the insistence of the strange creature he hopped onto the boat and sped away from the dock. As they cut through the water the human could hear the sounds of the other boats in the harbor paralyzed by the fog, but eventually they left those and the obstructing mist behind as they broke out of the fog bank. Once again the sky was clear and blue, punctuated only by a few small clouds... and the large yacht that sat gleaming in the sunlight. Tarras looked back at the naga, who smirked and nodded as they quickly approached it.
As soon as they began their approach to the docking area of the huge vessel they saw another naga like Tarras waving them in, though unlike Athear this one appeared to have a rubbery skin instead of a liquid one as they docked. When the human shook his hand, though, he found the inside was completely fluid or gel based as it squished slightly in his grip. The naga introduced himself as Leo as he helped the human aboard the huge ship and guided him inside. As he was given an impromptu tour of the yacht, Tarras realized it could put some cruise ships to shame.
Once they reached the gaming room Athear nodded to Leo before he looked down at Tarras. "I'm afraid that this will be where we part ways," the liquid naga lamented as he once more shook the human's hand. "My crew will take very good care of you, and upon request, have prepared something in order to help pass the time between here and your destination. Thank you for allowing us to show you our hospitality, and do enjoy yourself."
With that Athear gave a nod to Leo, who reciprocated with a bow, then left the two. As soon as he was out of sight the naga gave him a grin and led him over to a table where a deck of cards, several bottles filled with a dark liquid, and several glasses sat. "I heard that you're quite the fan of rum," Leo said as he gestured for the human to sit. "And as it so happens, so are we. We have a wonderful little port that makes the best stuff, and we all couldn't wait to share it with you."
"We... all?" Tarras asked. "There are more nagas like you?"
"Of course," Leo replied while pouring a drink for both himself and Tarras. "Can't crew a ship like this with only one person, now can I? Even with the marvels in tech that's in this hull it wouldn't be wise, the others were just finishing up their systems checks for the journey before they join us."
"I have to say I'm... fascinated," Tarras admitted, which caused the naga to grin as he took the half-full glass from the creature but was told not to drink from it quite yet. "I enjoy studying mythical creatures like yourself, but never thought I would be able to actually meet one." In truth Tarras was more than a little excited, ever since he had seen Athear on the boat he wanted nothing more than to have a detailed conversation with one of the snake men, now it appeared that he was about to have that chance.
As they began to discuss the yacht they were on, Tarras saw out of the corner of his eye several more creatures like the one sitting opposite him come in, the nagas introducing themselves as Wolf, Marru, Greg, and Sam. There was also a golden, rubber, western dragon amongst them named Ryuu who sat down as well, all of them with their own bottles of alcohol in their hands that they set down on the table. Once Tarras met everyone Leo took out a deck of cards and began to shuffle as he prompted Tarras took take a drink of the liquor now that everyone was there.
The human could feel six sets of slit pupils on him as he picked up the crystal glass once again and the others did the same with their bottles, sharing a silent toast before Tarras took a small drink from the glass. It was rum, much like he had expected, but while it had the same notes as most there was something... exotic about the drink as well. It was spicier than expected, but not overpowering as he took another drink, then a second one. Each time the liquor hit his throat he realized that it was a rather strong proof, though he was unsure how much so as he suddenly found cards in front of him.
Tarras lost all track of time as they continued to play, as well as how many drinks of the enticing rum he had drank since they had left the harbor. Even if he had tried to keep track he figured it would have been near impossible since Leo, who had sat directly to his left, made sure his glass was never more than half-empty. What had begun as a simple game of poker soon turned to a drinking game that the nagas had made up and as they explained the rules to him while he played he suspected they made most of them up as they went. Still, as the effects of the alcohol became more and more apparent, Tarras was just glad to be able to continue to ask questions about them, learning all about the liquid demon known as Athear and his mythical realm.
"You know," Ryuu said in a slightly slurred tone as he put down two threes and pointed randomly at Wolf, who took a drink from his bottle. "I never thought about what I was going to do with my life before I met with Athear, but I have to say that- oh look, it's finally starting!"
The others immediately stopped what they were doing and looked at Tarras, the sound of glass breaking filling the air as the cup Marru had attempted to balance on his forehead crashed to the ground. The human glanced at each of them in question, then realized that they were actually staring at his hands. Despite the devolution of their game he was still holding onto playing cards and as he looked at them he saw that the normally tanned digits had turned completely black and shiny. At first he thought he might have been seeing things to due to the booze, but when he rubbed them together they were smooth and unnaturally pliable.
"You might want to take off your pants if you don't want to lose em," Marru suggested. "Don't worry about being lewd, technically we're all naked here."
Whether it was the confidence in the suggestion or the alcohol that continued to seep into his mind, he decided it wasn't a bad idea and stripped off his black jeans as best he could. When he finally got them off he saw why the naga had made such a suggestion, already his thighs had turned completely black and the space between his legs had thick cords of the gooey substance stretch between them when he tried to separate them. As an added precaution Tarras decided to take off his jacket and shirt as well, and once he had finished pulling them off his arms had turned black all the way down to his elbow. When he experimented with the new appendages he found that although he still retained function in his fingers, they were capable of inhuman flexibility.
As the blackness continued to spread over his entire body and his legs continued to knit together into one fused appendage, he began to feel himself lose balance. As soon as he started to tip; however, he was suddenly propped up by a large mass of rubbery, liquid-filled snake coil as Leo grinned down at him. "Shoulda told you bout that," he said as he and the other nagas chuckled drunkenly. "The balance gets wonky going from two to one... let me lend you a helping coil."
It wasn't long before Tarras was glad for the support as the combination of the transformation and the booze continued to make him unsteady. With the naga holding him he was able to watch as the blackness finally reached the tips of his toes, which immediately fused together as the last of the gap between his legs sealed up. Unlike the other male holding him, his body seemed to be less rubbery and more gooey, which made the sensations even more surreal as he tested moving his newly-created naga tail. He couldn't believe that he was becoming something that he had only seen in textbooks before as the changes spread inwards to his chest, the black goo assimilating his flesh as it sculpted itself into a more muscular visage.
When Tarras finally managed to control his coils enough to wrap around himself he found he was not only still being supported by Leo, but that the others had slithered over as well. As they wrapped their bodies around him they told him that it wasn't uncommon for them to do such a thing often, and though he wasn't sure he believed them, he wasn't in a position to argue as the changes cascaded up to his face. He gasped despite his internal organs having turned to gel as he could feel his skull soften and reform, his face stretching out to be more like those surrounding him. He was just thankful it wasn't painful, in fact it felt like an invisible hand was molding him as he could feel his hair turn wet and slick while thick fangs poked out from his upper lip.
As he shook his head the changes seemed to cease and the long, serpentine body of a goo python naga had completely replaced his human form, which he immediately used to wrap around both Leo and Marru to test it. The others laughed and put a drink in his hand and filled it with more liquor. Though his transformation had finished and their bodies were already twisted impossibly around one another, they wanted him to continue to drink. Leo grabbed his own bottle and proposed a toast, then took a long drink, then each of them toasted as well... then did it again... and again...
****************************
After a few hours of drunken revelry the nagas gave Tarras a chance to sober up as they approached the island in question. Much like they had promised as the buzz of the alcohol left his system he not only transformed back into a human, but he also didn't feel any adverse effects, though he continued to drink out of the water bottle they had given him as he looked out at the endless expanse of sea. Off in the distance was their destination, a tiny dot of green that slowly grew bigger as they got closer. "Looks like you enjoyed yourself quite a bit back there," Marru said as he came up and leaned against the same railing the human did. "Did you enjoy yourself?"
"It was quite the experience," Tarras replied as he took a swig from his bottle. "All the time that I've spent researching mythological creatures I never thought I would be able to meet one. Makes me sort of wish that I was staying here rather than going to whatever bar I'm being taken to."
To his surprise Marru laughed, then patted him on the back. "Trust me, if you like mythological creatures there's going to be more than enough reason for you to enjoy yourself when we get to our destination. Don't get me wrong, it would be a blast for you to stay with us and continue to drink and have fun, but that's not how something like this works. Still, it was very nice meeting you, Tarras, and I hope you continue to enjoy yourself on your experience."
The two continued to idly talk for a while before the yacht pulled into one of the large piers that jutted out from the edge of the harbor. Unlike the one Tarras had left a few hours ago this one definitely felt more like a tropical resort getaway rather than anything commercial, instead of metal and concrete the whole thing was created from wood and vines that swayed slightly under his feet as he disembarked. As he moved his way down the dock he looked back to see the rubber nagas he had spent the trip with waving at him and he found himself doing the same before he continued. Part of him was sad that he couldn't spend more time with the fascinating creatures, but as he continued to walk forward and saw who was there to greet him, he immediately understood Marru's parting words.
"Welcome to Foxfire Island!" The brown and white-furred creature said as he gestured for him to come closer. For the second time that day Tarras was confronted with a mythological creature, this time a male kitsune who seemed to have a tail for every color of the rainbow." My name is Yoichi, I run this little slice of paradise."
"Tarras," the surprised human managed to reply as he felt the soft fur and black claws against his palm. "I... I can't believe that I'm meeting another one of your kind, just yesterday I thought you were all stories and legends."
"Far from it darling," Yoichi said with a giggle as he fawned over the human. "Of course there is the whole thing with different dimensions and worlds and all that, but we have far too much to do than to worry about that! Now while I'm normally not prepared for someone of your tastes, and I don't mean the booze, I was given enough prep time in order to make sure you have a truly memorable experience. If you'll just follow me I'll show you to the area where we've given you a private tasting session."
As they walked further into the island Yoichi pointed out several areas that he had set up; from an island resort-styled bar to an outdoor pavilion where they could hear the music pumping even from some distance away. What interested Tarras even more were the patrons of such a place as humans, kitsune, dryads, elves, and other such creatures walked around and mingled with one another. It was fairly clear that he either wasn't on his world anymore, or if he was it was the best kept secret on the planet, especially since none of the humans, mostly males, seemed to mind the other exotic creatures. Eventually they reached a fenced-in area with a sign that read: Lagoon closed for private party.
"Here we are," Yoichi said as he opened the door and escorted Tarras in. "Though I'm sure you enjoy my fabulous company I will not be your host for this evening, I have enlisted the help of Lily to be your pourer."
Tarras felt his breath catch slightly in his throat as they entered the lagoon area and standing behind to the bar that overlooked the crystalline body of water was a female kitsune with long, cream-colored hair and white fur. She gave them both a smile as she called them over, her high-pitched voice loud enough to be heard over the crash of the nearby waterfall that feed into the lagoon. When Tarras glanced over at Yoichi there was a mischievous smirk on his face, but said nothing as they walked over the cool grass to the smooth bamboo of the bar. The human couldn't help but gawk slightly over the lithe figure of the fox, her tails swishing around before they started to wrap around various bottles and place them on the surface in front of them.
"Don't suppose you'll be catching a drink with us, then, Yoichi?" she asked the flamboyant fox, who giggled and waved her off.
"I have other matters that need tending to, including his return trip home," Yoichi instructed as he patted Tarras on the shoulders. "I will leave our honored guest in your capable tails, just remember that we do have a timetable that we need to follow, so nothing too crazy."
There was a laugh from the female fox as Yoichi turned to leave, then leaned on the bar towards Tarras. "You'll have to excuse my boss," she said once the other kitsune was out of earshot. "I think he was disappointed that he wouldn't be able to participate in the fun we have in store. Speaking of such I heard that you have a fondness for mead, which is lucky for you because we brew some of the best right here on the island. I'm going to give you a flight of meads to try, and once you have one in particular that stands out, we can go from there."
"It's still hard for me to believe this is all happening to be honest," Tarras admitted as he took off his white jacket and placed it on the seat next to him while Lily's tails put several glasses in front of him. "I didn't think when I woke up today that I would be drinking rum with a bunch of nagas, then turning into one, and now sharing mead with a... it is kitsune, correct?"
"You got it," Lily replied with a wink while she poured from several bottles simultaneously. "Of course you can use any of the fox descriptors, too, and get away with it as well. I bet drinking with the nagas were fun, we only met them briefly ourselves, but they seem like a fun bunch of guys."
"You bet," Tarras responded. He picked up the first glass filled with a swallow or two of honey-colored liquor and smelled it, then took a drink. "Are these drinks going to have a similar effect on me as the rum they offered?"
"Of course," Lily replied with a grin. "Don't worry, you won't turn into a bee or anything. What we're actually doing here is not only getting a flavor you enjoy, but also a type of change you want to occur since all of these have different ones. I won't go into too much detail on them, because where's the fun in that, and they won't manifest until you drink more than the small samples in front of you."
The two continued to make small talk as Tarras went through all the glasses that were placed before them, taking a few moments to savor each one before he moved onto the next one. He ended up learning quite a bit about Lily and the other kitsune while he drank, soaking up the knowledge that he was given first-hand about their species. When he finally finished the last glass the human was surprised that he had taken nearly an hour to sample all the different varieties of mead they had in stock, and his head started to buzz slightly from the alcohol as the now empty glasses were taken from him. When he was asked which one he liked the most it took him a while to narrow it down, all of them good in their own way he finally managed to narrow it down to two choices that he kept flipping back and forth on.
"Actually there is a way that you can have both, if you want to give it a try," Lily informed him, Tarras nodding as she took the bottles of the two selected and moved them to her hands. "I wasn't bragging when I told you I know my stuff, so what I'm going to create for you is a blended mead. I have to say you have excellent taste, both of these are favorites of mine and incorporate ancient tree sap for one and rare spring water for the other."
"Sounds expensive," Tarras commented, which caused Lily to smile as she poured both liquids into one bottle.
"You would be correct," Lily replied which a chuckle. "There are very few bartenders Yoichi would trust to handle such liquors, and even less blending them, but I actually have already done this for myself, so I think you'll be more than happy with the result." She poured a small amount of the combined liquid into a new glass and handed it to him. "Go ahead and tell me what you think."
As soon as Tarras took the glass and the bright liquid hit his tongue he knew that it was a perfect blend. He finished the entire glass and set it down, the kitsune already nodding in agreement despite his not saying anything. She took out a large waterskin and dumped the contents of the bottle into it, and once it was empty she put it away. "I personally believe this is the only true way to drink mead," she stated as she handed the swollen leather bag filled with mead to him. "Well that or a cow's horn, but this one is a little nicer to the cow, and a little more travel-friendly."
"Travel-friendly?" Tarras asked as he unscrewed the top of the waterskin and took another drink of the flavorful liquor. "We're going somewhere else?"
"In a manner of speaking," Lily replied as she hopped over the bar. "Don't get me wrong the lagoon is nice down here, but I think you'll find the view from the top to be far more breathtaking. Just follow me and try not to get lost."
Tarras didn't have to be told twice as he eagerly followed the vixen up a small pathway that went up the side of the rock face that featured the waterfall. It wound its way through the trees that covered most of the hill, the human occasionally caught a glimpse of the bar they were just at as they continued to travel upwards. He was slightly stunned at how deceptively high the bluff was as they continued to hike up it, continuing to drink from the waterskin as they did. Occasionally Lily would stop and ask for a drink herself, Tarras watching as she eagerly wrapped her muzzle around it and took several gulps before handing it back.
After a short but steep trek upwards the two finally broke through the underbrush and Tarras' eyes widened slightly at the view before him. On one side was the lagoon, the river they stood fairly close to spilled over the edge towards a very long drop down into the water below. A short walk away; however, was another cliff, this time though the edge looked over the ocean that sparkled with the light from the sun that had just started to set. "It's beautiful," he said after taking another draught of the mead.
"Isn't it though?" Lily said before she turned him and pressed her muzzle against his lips, causing him to look at her in a mixture of surprise and confusion. "What, you think I'm just here to serve you drinks? When I heard we're actually getting someone that's interested in me on this island I jumped at the chance, of course if you aren't interested we could just get drunk and watch you change."
Tarras was about to ask what she meant by that when she gestured down to his neck, where he saw thin green strands begin to emerge out from his V-neck. With Lily's help he stripped off the garment to find a thin layer of fur had already started to grow there, except when he ran his hand down it the consistency was slightly off. When he brought his hand back up to his nose it smelt of aloe and something sweet like nectar, and the feel was more akin to grass than fur. The kitsune just continued to grin at him as he watched his human flesh get assimilated by the strange fur until it went under the belt of his pants.
Lily wasted no time in sliding her fingers in to undo the button on them, and Tarras started to help before she batted his hand away and one of her tails handed him the nearly empty waterskin. He decided to let her do her work as he took another drink and as he watched her. "Hey, your fur," he said as he almost spilled the mead on himself when he saw the patch of blue on her back. "It's like what I'm being covered in."
"Well we are drinking from the same bottle," Lily explained with a grin as she suddenly pulled both pants and underpants in one swift motion to expose his partially transformed legs. By now his entire chest had been overgrown with the grassy covering and had gained the lithe definition similar to the other male kitsune he had seen. Once again he couldn't help but be excited that he was about to experience the sensation of transforming into another creature, so much so he hadn't realized that Lily had stood back up to face him and had likewise stripped off her clothes. "Only one thing left to do now."
The sky around the two grew dark as the sun continued to set, stars had started to appear where blackness already touched the sky as Lily brought Tarras over to a flat part of the clearing closer to the cliff edge. As he held her hand he could feel his fingernails itch as they turned black and slightly pointed, just like hers as they stopped a few feet away from where the ground ended. The sound of the sea crashing into the rocks below could be heard as Lily laid down on the grass and patted the ground next to her. Tarras could feel the changes begin to creep up his neck as he sat down, then felt a more immediate sensation of pressure as he jumped up slightly and rubbed his hand against the nub that appeared on the base of his spine.
The transforming human felt sheepish as Lily giggled, then brought her own hands up to rub at the same spot. Tarras couldn't help but feel a tingle of pleasure there from such soft and silky hands, letting her rub there for a while before he once again attempted to sit down with the knowledge of his growing tail. When he finally got himself in a comfortable position he looked over to see Lily start to put her hands back to her sides, only for him to stop her and grab them to hold her palms up the light. "They're glowing..." he remarked as the pads that covered most of her palm and fingers shined with a soft blue light.
"Not just me," Lily grinned as she took her hands and slid them over until they were pressed against the back of Tarras', holding them up to show that he had not only grown pads of his own, but they also had a bright green luminescence to them. "This would be the effects of our blended mead, the first gives you the grass and vines, and the second gives you the overall body of a water elemental. Like I said, a very good combination."
"You know this will be the second ti-ah... ahm..." Tarras' words suddenly became garbled as the plant fur that had grown up unnoticed on his chin spread over his face as it began to push out. As he tried to move his growing muzzle he felt his tongue suddenly grow numb and as it hung there limply it began to stretch past his stretching lips. When he was able to regain control of it again it had stretched out to nearly a foot in length and glowed the same green as his pawpads. The feeling of such an alien appendage in his equally foreign maw caused him to bring his hands up to it, and as soon as it did his new tongue instinctively seemed to drift towards it and managed to wrap completely around his wrist.
"It's great, right?" Lily said as her tone grew slightly more seductive, her own bright blue tongue licking her lips as she leaned back and slid her hand down between her legs. "If you can find somewhere fun to put yours, I think I can find something equally so to wrap mine around."
Tarras felt his new muzzle split into a grin at the suggestion, the tail that had continued to grow out just above his rear wagging as he got into position on top of her. He could feel her breasts press against his abdomen as her head wiggled against his legs, which had grown sleek and defined as his green grass grew down past his knees. As his toes dug slightly into the earth to brace himself he could feel his feet begin to lengthen, as well, and turn into a similar configuration as the ones in front of his own face. The smell of flowers and sweetness wafted into his nostrils as he dipped his muzzle against the wet slit between her legs, and as he opened his muzzle and let his new vine tongue stretch back out, he saw his already-canine nose turn to gel and glow blue. Her legs twitched slightly as his ears tickled her inner thighs, the softening flesh stretched out into points as they migrated to the top of his skull where they parted his long hair that had also turned a dark green.
Suddenly the transforming fox felt Lily urge him on in the form of giving his cock a long lick with her own glowing tongue. Unlike the rest of his body his member had stayed mostly human to that point, but as he felt his arousal grow from her ministrations, the sensitive flesh turned the same bright glowing blue and semi-translucent while it lengthened. That was all he was able to see though before it was completely engulfed by Lily's muzzle, which nearly caused his knees to buckle from the sensations as he let out a gasp of pure pleasure.
Once he regained his composure Tarras began to lick and tease the female's sex with his new tongue. The pleasured moans of the vixen beneath him reverberated through his own cock and spurred him on to go deeper. After a little practice he found his tongue was able to thrust back and forth ever so slightly, earning him satisfied, lusty sighs from the kitsune below him.
After a while he suddenly felt his entire cock get released into the air, and his own tongue was pulled out from the snatch beneath him as Lily stood up. "Enough of that," she nearly growled as he flipped the male plant fox on his back. "Time for the main event."
Tarras felt the vines on his back dig into the soft ground beneath him as she positioned herself on top of him, the similar ones around their body stretching to accommodate the new position. As soon as she was ready she took his gooey vine cock and pressed the tip against her dripping slit, and had he not been anchored down, his back would have arched as he slid deep inside her right away. As soon as she was sure he was firmly inside her, she grabbed his hands and pressed them to her breasts, blue tongue writhing in the air as his own did the same. All around the two transformed creatures the grasses began to sprout blue and green flowers that bloomed as their bodies became entwined with one another, and even with her hilted on his cock with every thrust he swore he could feel it continue to feel the prehensile appendage go deeper inside her.
As the two continued to thrust and grind Tarras began to feel the other vines on his body continue to grow, not only spreading over the thick grass on his and Lily's body, but into the ground as well. It wasn't long before he found himself completely pinned to the ground, though most of his focus was on the wet walls clamped around his cock as Lily continued to ride him. As much as he wanted to continue to thrust his hips up, his continued plant transformation left the kitsune in charge of their pace, though she seemed more than willing to do so as their pliable bodies continued to push against one another. Even when he tried to remove his hands from her breast he found the tendrils of their bodies so entwined with one another that all he could do was squeeze and rub his palms against her nipples to drive her even harder.
Eventually both creatures managed to drive one another into climax as the air grew thick with the smell of nectar and flowers as they both cried out at close to the same time. It took several long moments before Tarras could even see straight, and when he did he was greeted with the sight of the blue grass furred kitsune on top him glistening in the moonlight, tongue still slightly dangling from her jaws as the plant tendrils that had bound them together finally released enough that he could drop his hands. As her breasts continued to heave up and down hypnotically with each breath, Lily finally seemed to compose herself enough to slide her pussy off of his cock, which had returned to a somewhat normal length, and rested next to him as their bodies continued to touch.
As the night wore on Lily and Tarras continued to lie back in the flower bed they had created and stare at the stars, at least until a familiar face suddenly appeared in their vision. "I hate to interrupt such a serene scene," Yoichi stated with a giggle. "But sadly it is time for our guest to head back. If you'll follow me, Tarras, I have your method of return already set up for you."
Tarras nodded and felt more than a little remorseful that such a day had to end, but it was far overshadowed by the memories of it as he and Lily were both helped to their feet by one of Yoichi's colorful tails. As he said goodbye to Lily she gave him a kiss on his muzzle and told him to stop by again if he could, which Tarras nodded to as Yoichi started to guide him. At first he thought they were going to head back down the hill, but to his surprise the kitsune led him towards the lagoon side of the cliff, the short trip aided by Tarras' glowing form. Once they reached the waterfall Yoichi instructed him to look over, and when he did he gasped in surprise when he saw the whirlpool that had formed in the middle of the lagoon.
"That will not only take you back but also cleanse your body of your transformation," Yoichi instructed, the corner of his mouth playing up in a smirk when he saw the disappointed look on his face. "While I wish you could stay in that form I'm afraid it'll likely look strange where you come from. I also have your clothes gathered up for you to put back on."
As Tarras dressed himself Yoichi's tails reached behind him and brought a green cloth backpack between them. Once he was finished the kitsune handed it to him, and when the fox opened it up he was surprised to see several bottles of rum and mead carefully stored within it. "Will this do what I think it'll do?" Tarras asked.
"To a lesser extent, yes," Yoichi replied. "A sweet little gift from both myself and our sexy naga friends." My recommendation is to drink it alone or with people you trust considering the effects of these particular drinks. Alright, you've got to get going, it was a lot of fun having you, but it's time for you to hop off!"
Tarras took the backpack full of booze and slung it around his shoulder, then looked down at the whirlpool and swallowed hard before he jumped forward. The cool night air and spray of the nearby waterfall rushed past him before he hit the center of the swirling water with a splash. For the few seconds he was underwater his entire body spun around until he was completely disoriented, then he felt the current rush up underneath him and push him back towards the surface. When he came up for air he looked around he expected to be in some area near the docks, but found himself instead in the fountain of the park near his house. He suddenly found himself able to stand and his body rose up from the knee-high pool, any traces of his former fox form washed away.
As he sloshed his way to the edge of the fountain he saw it was nighttime, and when he saw no one else around the park's plaza he was thankful for the privacy. When he reached the side of the marble fountain and hoisted himself over it he saw a thick, fluffy towel on the other side that had a picture of rainbow-tailed kitsune dyed on it. While it was a nice parting gift Tarras was more thankful for the ability to at least somewhat dry himself off as he made sure the backpack was still secured to his body before he started home. As he toweled himself off he failed to notice there was one more creature there besides himself, the cloaked figure sat silently on a nearby bench and watched until the human disappeared, then doing the same.
