It was almost midnight and the nightclub downstairs was hopping with dozens of dancers as Aiden watched from the windows above. There were several that he eyed up as potential new slaves, which now that he had assimilated Leo's network, as well as the boss himself, he was able to find those he could take without anyone noticing. While his grand plan was to take over the human race he had to temper those instincts and be patient; once he had enough alien thralls under his command then he would sweep the city with them and turn everyone in the course of a night. The pitiful human race would be all but a footnote once he was done.

He walked back to his desk and sat down in the chair with his wings folded back. He no longer worried about anyone seeing him in his demonic alien form anymore, by now his reputation had spread to the point where his visage had become the stuff of legends. Most thought it was a costume while others thought a possible hallucination or the like, and those he did explain it to were often about to join his fold, anyway. At this point he had two dozen thralls under control, although his focus was on one in particular as he tried to make a mental connection with Fox and Hawk. They hadn't reported in for days, and when he had previously attempted to contact them he found himself unable to, this time; however, he finally had success.

"Master!" Fox's voice said on the end of the mental link. "Master, you're in terrible danger!"

Aiden frowned but before he could hear more his slave's voice became distorted, which prompted him to concentrate harder in order to try and listen to what he had to say. "Fox..." Aiden asked as he focused inward. "Fox, were you captured? What do you mean I'm in terrible danger?"

"They know about you, Master!" Fox shouted finally, which gave Aiden a headache as his voice echoed in his mind. "Hawk and I managed to escape, but they pinged your location from when you took me over to turn Gryphon! They've already come to the city in order to find you, it's only a matter of time before-"

Suddenly Fox's voice disappeared and Aiden could feel the link between them cut off once again. Aiden sat up in his chair and tried to contact Fox again, then Hawk, only to find them both completely unreachable, which prompted him to take a paperweight on the desk and throw it into the wall. After his outburst he sat down in his chair and put his hands against his head. They knew he was there... but the more he thought about it, the more he wondered if that was actually a bad thing. They would have to play on his home turf, which meant all he would have to do is muster up his forces and get them back to the club so they could prepare for their arrival.

The demonic alien reached out his presence and connected with all his thralls to tell him to get back to the club, but no sooner had he gotten in contact with him than he was once more severed from their contact. His frustration turned to pure spite when he tried several more times to reestablish connection, only to be denied once again. After his fifth attempt was when he realized that the familiar hum of the music from the nightclub could no longer be felt under his bare feet, something that caused more alarm than his inability to reach his thralls. Very slowly he got up from his chair and walked back over to the windows overlooking the club and saw that everyone in the nightclub had disappeared, save for an alien rubber lion and snake that stood in the middle of the dance floor.

Tobias and Xavier stood wordlessly as the lights of the dance floor flashed underneath them, waiting for Aiden to make his move. They didn't have to wait long as one of the panes of glass busted outwards as a desk flew straight at them. The two aliens jumped to opposite sides of the floor as it crashed into the ground, causing the glass under them to crack and the colors to flicker. Aiden flew out soon afterwards and crashed into the ground between them and looked at the two with a sneer on his face.

"You really think that cutting off contact with my thralls impresses me?" Aiden asked as he stared at both of them. "I am still the master of my domain and you two stumbled right into it, saved me the trouble of hunting you two down. Once I am through with you I'll have one of you under each foot while I take control of your nest and use them to help me rule this world like you two should have been doing in the first place!"

The other two remained silent as he sneered at them, ready for their attacks. "It's not too late you know," Xavier mentioned. "If you surrender to us now we can teach you how to coexist with humans, make a nest where you and your pets share a mutual love and understanding, and overall just not be a dick about things."

"Like I would listen to you two bleeding hearts," Aiden sneered. "The power to rule and you choose to lay in the dirt with them. Don't worry, though, I'll make sure to show you the error of your ways once you call me master."

The demonic alien flexed his arms and two wicked blades formed out of his rubber skin, one pointed at each of them as they eyed each other up. It was Tobias who attacked first; however, as a latex chain formed in his hands that he whipped straight at Aiden. The links connected with him for the briefest of seconds before the demon chopped them apart, though that left him open for Xavier's attack as he came in with a large axe. Before he could connect, though, Aiden saw him coming and spun around to push Xavier straight into the bar. The sound of glass crashing filled the air as the alien snake fell behind the bar and into a puddle of booze.

Once more Tobias took the chain whip and tried to entangle the demon, but when he finally did get it wrapped around his wrist Aiden just took it and spun the lion man around until he was airborne as well. Just as Xavier was hopping over the bar and back onto the dance floor Tobias landed a few feet away from him, groaning as the wooden panels he had crashed into splintered around him. "You sure this was a good idea?" Tobias groaned as he stood himself back up.

"We just need a little more time," Xavier said as he eyed Aiden up. "I didn't think he was going to be this strong, though..."

This time it was Aiden who took the offensive as he charged forward with swords blazing, Xavier just able to jump out of the way as the deceptively sharp blades sank deep into the wood of the bar. It gave Xavier a chance to lash out, himself, and Aiden cried out in pain as the alien weapon sank into him, only to return the favor by slashing up from the bar and catching Xavier in the chest. The snake alien cried out and fell backwards, hitting the dance floor with a loud thud. Tobias shouted and snapped his whip again, this time successfully wrapping it around Aiden's neck before pulling downwards. The demon choked for a second and fell to his knee, and as he tried to get out of the choke, the lion alien swung around to where Xavier laid.

"You alright?!" Tobias exclaimed as Xavier slowly got up.

"Yeah..." Xavier replied, looking down to see the wound already closing up before he glanced back up and his eyes widened. "Tobias, look out!"

Tobias was knocked backwards as he caught a barstool in the stomach, falling backwards, as well, and losing the tension on the whip which allowed Aiden to break free. With a loud roar the huge creature stomped forward towards the two downed rubber creatures and raised his hands up to impale them both. Just as he was about to lunge downwards, though, his chest suddenly recoiled back slightly as it was hit with something, then several more things that caused him to wince and stumbled backwards. He looked down to see several holes in his scaly rubber chest, and when he looked up at the source of his pain he saw a lion and snake hybrid with a gun in his hands.

"Next one goes between your eyes, Aiden!" Flynn shouted.

The demon's face twisted in pain as the wounds regenerated, then with one swoop of his left arm the sword there extended outwards into a shield. The hybrid alien suddenly found himself being charged as he continued to fire the rest of his bullets at Aiden, only to have them get deflected or absorbed into his shield. Gunshots turned to clicks as Flynn ran out of ammo and he tossed the gun to the side and tried to brace himself for impact. Behind his shield Aiden's face twisted into victory as he prepared to completely crush the cursed offspring of the two aliens, and they would have the pleasure of watching him do it.

But before he reached his target he suddenly hit something so solid that it caused him to bounce backwards and fall onto the dance floor as his shield clattered to his side. He looked up to see that the dance floor had risen up to separate him from Flynn, and when his eyes followed the path of destruction he saw it came from both Tobias and Xavier's hands that were on the origin point of the makeshift wall. "But..." Aiden said in disbelief. "How did you manage to do that?"

"Have you really not figured out where you are yet, Aiden?" Xavier said with a smirk as he stood up, his chest completely healed as he crossed his arms. "Perhaps if you had spent a little more time learning about yourself and less trying to break the wills and minds of others you would have learned by now..."

As Aiden tried to figure out the cryptic meaning behind the other alien's words he noticed out of the corner of his eye that the desk he had thrown out the window was no longer on the dance floor and that, other than the wall of colored glass, it was once again in one piece. "No..." he said as he looked back up at his office and saw the glass had been repaired, as well, and even the bar that they had just recently destroyed. "You couldn't have... there's no way you could have gotten me into your psychic realm without me noticing!"

"You're right, we didn't," Tobias explained as he picked himself up, too. "Turns out Fox is a very gifted con artist, when you contacted him and then concentrated on the connection to hear him it gave us our opportunity to pull you into the psychic realm through the connection we made with him. By the way, he's not happy that you essentially brainwashed him to do your bidding, though he does thank you for the name Fox."

"I think he's keeping that part, actually," Xavier continued. "But as for the rest of your influence we helped him purge that from his system. Hawk, too."

Aiden felt his blood boil as he tried to wrap his head around what had just happened to him. It became increasingly clear that he wasn't actually in his office anymore, which meant he was on their turf right now. As he stared them down he mentally tried to find a way out only to once again find his way blocked by the aliens in front of him as Flynn moved around to join the other two. "Why are you doing this..." the demon alien finally asked. "For what purpose have you dragged me here, tell me!"

The three aliens looked at one another, then back at Aiden. "We had to have you try and ping all your thralls so we could find and help them... once you're gone," Xavier finally said. "Had you decided to join us instead of destroy us we could have taught you how to move both in this plane and in the real world at the same time, like to sneak into a nightclub office while its owner is preoccupied in the psychic realm."

"Or to have his mate and son set up a resonance chamber that will trap a particularly dangerous alien," Tobias continued when Xavier suddenly disappeared.

"And then keep that said alien in the same spot while setting up a pocket that will collapse on itself and destroy it so it can never pose a threat again," Flynn stated when Tobias did the same. "That pocket is this place, and that alien is you. Goodbye, Aiden."

Aiden roared and charged at the final alien, only to have him disappear before he could even get close. The demonic alien suddenly found himself alone as the nightclub began to shake around him, the already unstable space falling apart now that the ones who had kept it up had departed. Chunks of ceiling began to rain down as cracks appeared in the walls which had nothing but bright, white light around it. His office windows shattered and glass rained down on him as everything fell apart, but despite that, he stood in the middle of the collapsing space.

"You can't do this to me!" Aiden shouted as the shaking intensified and the floor fissured under his feet as the walls closed in around him. "You think you can kill me!? I'm the most powerful creature ever created!" Everything grew brighter as he felt the pressure intensify around him. "I will destroy all of you!"

Meanwhile in the real world Tobias, Xavier, and Flynn stood around Aiden who laid in his chair, one of their hands clasped on the arm of the one next to him to form a triangle around the demonic alien while their other hand was firmly on Aiden's head. The three opened their eyes and looked at each other, then down at the demon before a wave of psychic energy shot out and pushed them all backwards. Xavier tumbled over the desk and Tobias smashed into the wet bar while Flynn managed to catch himself before he flew out the window. As the three slowly crawled back up onto their hands and knees they looked up just in time to see Aiden's demonic body deform and melt until the only thing left of him was a puddle of goo on the floor under the chair.

"Is... is he..." Flynn asked as Tobias stood up and walked over to the puddle of liquid alien rubber and dipped his finger into it.

"He's gone," Tobias said after mentally probing the liquid.

As they picked themselves up they were suddenly joined by an alien German Shepherd that flew into the room and pointed his weapon around until they told him that the danger had passed. "So it's finally over..." Kyle said as he put his gun away. "Thank goodness for that, are you guys alright?"

"Just a little bit of psychic backlash," Xavier informed the overprotective male as he sat down on the couch. "All things considered it was a small price to pay for removing such a major threat not only to us, but to the people of this planet, as well."

"I still can't believe we had to... you know... kill him," Flynn sighed. "I know he was a danger and even if we had somehow contained him in the psychic realm he can still cause a lot of harm, but I still wonder if we couldn't imprison him and somehow... I don't know... make him good."

Tobias sighed and put his arms around his son's shoulders, kissing him on the forehead. "You have a good heart," the lion alien said as he moved him over to where Kyle and Xavier had sat down on the couch. "But trying to change him like that would have been just as bad as him trying to change us, even if we managed to make him good, as you say, then we are essentially killing him, or at least the him that he cared about. No... the second he attacked us, we knew there was no changing him."

"Speaking of changes," Kyle asked as he reached over to a half-empty bottle of scotch that sat there and took a swig. "What about his thralls? Are you able to reverse the damage he did to them like you did to those two back at the facility?"

"I've actually been checking that while we talked," Xavier said as he shook his head. "It's not good I'm afraid, there are at least five who I don't think we could repair the damage on if we tried. A number of them are like Fox, though, that I think we can take care of and the rest are going to have to be a case by case basis. It's going to take a lot of rehabilitation and we have our own nest to think about, we can't just stay here and try to fix everything. Even if we could, there's no feasible way to sneak two dozen people out of the country and into the facility."

The four remained silent as they all tried to think of what to suggest to do next. In all honestly they hadn't thought that far ahead on what they were going to do if they managed to completely defeat Aiden, and now that they had it seemed they had to clean up after their mess, as well. With the destruction of their master most of them had fallen unconscious from the sudden loss of the psychic collar around their psyches. If they chose to leave now it left the rest of them vulnerable when they woke up again, and the potential that they would get discovered and put their nest in danger once again grew stronger.

"I'll stay," Flynn finally said, which caused the other three to look at him in surprise. "We need one of us to be here to help these people out, and you two have always talked about having me start a nest of my own."

"Well I was kind of hoping it'd be in the same country when you did," Xavier said with a sigh as he sat back. "I hate to admit it, but the kid is right, we need someone to stay here and try and get this mess of a nest back under control before anyone is discovered. You think you're up to the challenge, though?"

"I certainly hope so," Flynn replied with a smile. "I did have the two best teachers to help guide me along."

"He won't have to do it alone, either," Kyle said as he stood up. "I'll stay behind help, too. Even though I'm just a pet I've learned a lot from Xavier during my travels with him, and that way you'll have someone that can watch your back and help you keep the rowdier ones under control."

The four continued to make their arrangements and began to put feelers out to the thralls that Aiden had kept sentient to maintain his nest in order to try and give Flynn a head start before they left. They ended up staying there for a few days before the two aliens finally felt the call of their own nest and they hopped a plane heading back to the facility. Even with the promise that they would be able to reach one another both through standard technology as well as the psychic plane, there were no small amount of tears, even when they were over the ocean, Xavier looked over to see his mate sniffle slightly and dab his eye with a tissue. The disguised snake alien felt similar, losing contact not only with his son, but his best friend, as well.

"They'll be fine," Xavier tried to reassure both his mate and himself as they flew over the endless expanse of water. "We made sure that he was set up with everything he needed and the other thralls were more than gracious for the change of management and seemed to understand the situation."

"I know..." Tobias sighed. "I should have known that we'd one day be divided again, I was just kind of hoping that after our initial separation it wouldn't happen anymore after we came back together. It's going to be very strange at the nest without someone we created being there to teach."

Xavier nodded, then a grin crept across his face that he tried to hide from Tobias, only to have the other male ask him what he was smiling about. "You know... after we made Flynn we never tried to, you know, repeat the result," Xavier mentioned. "Perhaps now that our nest is figuratively empty we could try again, bring another Flynn into the world now that ours is off managing his own pets."

Tobias looked at Xavier dumbfounded before the smallest smile crept across his face as well. It was true that while they have had a lot of sex, it never spawned another true alien symbiote creation like they did the first time they got together. Their hands drifted to one another and they clasped them tight as they looked out the window towards the horizon where their nest was. The two aliens couldn't wait to get back home now, and not just because they would be able to contact Flynn once they got there...
