Synthetic Hearts: Date Night
Nervous about the date and the expectations surrounding it, our robot friend plans for what they believe may or may not happen with a heavy heart.
Tonight Ireh found themselves going out on a date. A lupine historian had come to them during their work hours and had seen Ireh getting hot and bothered over information like the truest of nerds, and yet, had still thought to ask Ireh out. Of course, the synth had accepted with big eyes and a smile. To them, it was more than just a little refreshing when someone found out about their weird quirks and instead of teasing them about it, took an interest. It wasn't an unusual circumstance for the synth really, but it had an extra layer of mystery surrounding it since they weren't sure whether or not it would be successful and whether or not the wolf would accept an offer that they had thought of. Ireh had always been and was still interested in the dynamics of relationships and understanding it like they would understand a piece of data to be stored and cataloged. There was no real set way to understand it all and Ireh had long since accepted that it was going to be a case by case basis, but at the very least they could be honest about the fact that they wanted to look at the wolf as they might the subject of an experiment. At the same time, they wanted to see about building a more intimate relationship.
These thoughts and more broiled through the synth's mind as they stood outside of the wolf's home on one of the many residential platforms. There were several houses stacked and planted together that had a rustic feeling with some of them looking like villas out of historic paintings from a particular planet. Even in the night, Ireh could see that the platform had been build low enough that the cloud sea poured over just the surface creating a sort of never-ending mist that felt nice even against the metal of their bare legs. Another thing that was on their mind while they waited outside of the wolf's door, was if they looked good or not tonight.
Ireh had opted to wear a sweater and skirt, their wired tail curving beneath the skirt to lift it just a bit to give that sort of sex appeal that they figured most would enjoy. Of course, they were just assuming that the wolf would be the sexual sort. Well, the most important thing was the fact that they felt fucking fantastic wearing these clothes.
Another sudden thought occurred, one that was important enough to mutter to themselves, "I should knock, no sense in overthinking things before the date even begins. Besides. It'll probably just be a little chat."
It only took a few knocks before the door opened and the wolf stood wearing sleeves robes tied with a sash. Four amber eyes peered down at them before Tr'en smiled and pushed the door open wider, "Welcome. You look lovely."
Ireh heard those words and to them, it was a little victory that bolstered their confidence. As they searched for a proper reply, the wolf stepped closer and reached with both hands to grip their rear and tug them close into a tight embrace while leaning down to plant a peck on Ireh's mouth. At first, the synth wasn't sure what to make of such a bold act, but they found themselves returning the kiss as yet another part of their outfit seemed to work out just fine. They felt a digit loop through the thong that they had beneath their skirt, but instead of recoiling they only pulled their mouth away to chuckle, "Really...Out here and already? I thought you said you wanted to get to know me better."
The wolf's ears pulled back and they looked genuinely apologetic as they muttered, "Apologies, wasn't sure if uh, the lifted tail, in particular, was a sign or if you were just being a tease, or well...Perhaps I should have asked first."
Ireh blinked and before they could pull their hands away, Ireh grabbed their arms and felt through the fur gently, "Oh, and here I thought I was the only one nervous about this date. You're fine! I wore this assuming that you were a uh, sexual being. I didn't know if you would even like the outfit. If you want, we could skip the movie or whatever and just sit down on the couch doing weird things and talking."
A smile crossed the wolf's mouth and he snorted, "Weird things? If you're into weird things then maybe we should try out here."
The synth chuckled and squeezed their arms softly, "Please! I'd rather not wake someone up with noise and have them stumble on a robot and a wolf fucking."
"Of course, but that might be fun." The wolf said with a grin, but they slowly began to pull away to step inside with Ireh, "I guess on the couch might be fine, but really I'd like to talk a bit before that."
Ireh sighed happily as they followed along, "What a romantic."
Though they had put on quite the confident front, the synth could feel the electric buzz of nervous tension throbbing inside of their body. They hadn't expected the wolf to be quite so forward, but at the same time, it wasn't unwanted or unusual. At the same time, Ireh had to wonder what the wolf was into and what the wolf found to be arousing from this situation. The synth themselves found the pangs of stimulation and arousal touching them because of the wolf's sudden reaction and response, but the wolf had seemed to be entirely aroused by what they were wearing and the slight lift of their skirt thanks to their tail. Before long, Ireh had to force themselves out of their own thoughts and saw that the wolf was sitting on a couch looking at them with a small smile, they also took note that the sash that had been wrapped around the wolf's waist was now open.
Ireh took their seat next to the wolf as Tr'en asked, "You sure you're fine with all this? You really don't have to push yourself if you don't want to."
The synth looked up at the wolf, their orange eyes blinking into a shade of pink, "Oh, no, I'm absolutely fine. I've done this plenty of times before and I really enjoy the sort of emotional reaction out of it. Information isn't the only thing that turns me on, well, I guess in a way it is...Uh, what I mean is that emotion is a sort of feedback and reaction that I can watch on a partner and sort of catalog it, which relates to that whole information thing."
"So you enjoy studying people?" Ireh winced and looked away feeling suddenly very ashamed that the wolf caught onto that, and Tr'en seemed to realize this. "But that's fine, isn't it? You're just interested in how other people work right?"
Ireh was caught off guard entirely and they weren't quite sure how to explain themselves, so they tapped the digits of their hands together and looked down, "I...I guess so? I mean...I guess I look at it negatively because I can at times seem like I'm viewing people as test subjects to be examined and I've had people get really testy and mad at me for it, but I mean, w-we shouldn't be talking about this, we're here to enjoy things right?"
Feeling awkward and annoyed with themselves for letting that topic be brought up in such a strange way, they reached to feel over the wolf's leg wanting to distract themselves and make it up to the wolf, but Tr'en grabbed their wrist gingerly. Ireh looked up and the wolf gave their mouth a gentle peck, "We can talk about it if you'd like...I'm a historian and interested in people myself in similar ways. I can't say that information and emotional response drive me up the wall like they do for you, but even now I'm gauging your responses and trying to figure out who you are. That is similar isn't it?"
Ireh thought about that and kept thinking about it as they looked down, and the wolf just sat there patiently. Before long, they remembered that they were sitting on a couch supposed to be on a date and they popped out of their thoughts, "A-ah...Sorry. I was deep in thought. I uh, I guess I see what you mean, but is it really similar? I think that you're just interested in my case, not really like you're thinking about me as some sort of piece of data?"
The wolf chuckled, "Well, we are pieces of data, kind of. What's important is the afterthought. If you see me react a certain way, you're going to think about it, but you're also going to react too right?"
"Of course. I mean, it would be kind of rude to just not answer you if you had any type of reaction at all."
Tr'en nodded and brought them into his lap, "Mhm. You might take it a bit further than other people, but I might just peg that down as passion. You're not cold or uncaring toward anyone I'm sure, are you?"
"Um...No."
The wolf then gave them a soft squeeze, "Then you're fine."
Ireh was going to find themselves lost in thought if they weren't careful. Tr'en gave them a lot to wonder and mold around their mind, but they couldn't just do that right now since they were in the middle of the date. They blinked as they suddenly heard the sound of a narrator talking about animals. Turning around in the wolf's hold, they could see that a screen had slid from the ceiling and a nature documentary was playing. The wolf was lying back against the couch and watching the screen with a small smile. No words were said, but Ireh was grateful for the excuse and leaned back against the wolf as they began to sink in thought and process the conversation.
When the documentary was over, they were finished with their thoughts and feeling rather tired because of it. The wolf planted his chin atop of their head and Ireh looked up with a small smile, "Thanks..."
"Don't mention it Ireh. We can talk anytime you want."
The synth chuckled and slipped from the couch, "You sure you don't mind just like...Not doing anything?"
"Of course. You needed to talk right? Besides, this was just the first date, you're welcome here anytime."
Ireh grew quiet at that before nodding with a big smile, "You're right. Thanks big guy. Walk me to your door then?"
Tr'en got up to do just that. Even as the synth stepped out into the cool air of the night, they felt warm. They had expected a fling and a confusing one at that, but perhaps they were taking their steps into something a bit more intimate.
