The Arrest of Officer Jarred Thompson
A first person narrative told from the perspective of a police dog who was arrested for going mad during a job when going to stop a cat thief in the wetlands of Louisiana, but what exactly happened? Well, read and see if you can piece together what went down. I present to those that read: The Arrest of Officer Jarred Thompson.
The Arrest of Officer Jarred Thompson
I need a smoke. Is that ok? Ah, that hit the spot. Now go ahead and question me. Well, if I should start from the beginning than I shall. I've worked the force for fifteen years now. Some still call me a rookie, but I've had my share of yellow mustard gas that I've learned to be ready for anything. I remember that day. Oh, what a nightmarish day it was for me to have put in the photograph album of my body's brain.
I was at the station when I got a call. We'd been on a high search for a thief that'd stolen some unusual material in our neighborhood. Two piles of lumber. A pound of white chalk and two dozen candles. Apparently, this thief had been spotted in the wetlands of Louisiana. I talked the call over with the chief and after much heated debate he had me travel all the way via boat with some men as a sneak attack to catch the thief. I need another smoke before I continue onwards. Ah, ok, I'm set.
I recall that morning going out by sea. The whole travel took a day, or two, but eventually we made it to where the thief was, but what we found scared us. Out of the lumber an inverted cross had been built. It stood the size of the Statue of Liberty. Apparently he'd been collecting more than what we'd seen, but what was this for we weren't in all honesty prepared for.
We got off the boat, traveled into the wetlands across, and up to this cross. It had a door and we entered into it. It was barely lit, but we could see before us was a staircase. We traveled down it. We paused hearing a horrible roaring. The team and I kept moving until we found it. In this underground room, in a pit was a giant tiger's body with three different spider heads. We saw him, the thief, walk up to the monster with a goat and well, I'll stop there, huh?
