Weathering the Storm

All day the air had been thick and muggy. Oppressively hot, sticky and sweaty in the most unpleasant kind of way. As a result, neither Ty nor Emily had left the house. Indeed they hadn't really done much of anything, lounging around in very little clothing with the apartment's AC turned up to the maximum, trying most of the time to remain in whatever spots of the house granted the maximum air-flow and granted them some small respite from the soupy texture of the air. Every minute they spent in the cloying humidity seemed to sap their strength and will to do anything else but just lie there, tongues lolling out, eyelids heavy, hair matted against their furred bodies and wishing that they could just grab a razor, shave themselves clean of every last scrap of fur and jump in a cold shower.

It was fairly late in the evening before relief came. All afternoon and all throughout the earlier part of the evening as the sun sank down towards the western horizon, the heat and thickness of the air had been growing all the more forceful in its presence. At long last though, just as the sky was growing dim and the foxtaur siblings were readying themselves to call the whole day a write-off, an echoing boom echoed around the apartment. Emily lifted her head from where it was leaning back on the rear of the couch, and Ty looked away from whatever mindless TV quiz show they'd been watching a marathon run of for the last couple of hours. They both looked to the window, and a few seconds later looked towards one another as a rain-drop hit the glass, surprisingly large and heavy.

Then another.

And another.

A flash of lightning lit up the room, followed by another rumbling peal of thunder some moments later, and soon after that the heavens opened.

Slowly, wearily the two foxtaurs dragged themselves off the furniture and moved over to the window. It was open a crack, had been all day for what little relief that offered, but only now could they feel cool air streaming in as the rain beyond intensified. They looked at each other as Ty opened the window a little wider, then a little more, finally pulling it all the way open so that they could stand side by side before it, reaching their hands out of the apartment and feeling the rain drum cool and refreshing upon their bare arms as it began to hammer loudly against the sidewalk a few storeys below.

Again lightning flashed across the sky, the thunder following more rapidly behind it this time. Emily giggled as a cool breeze washed over them, a cluster of raindrops caught in the swirling air current altering their downward trajectory and launching in towards them, peppering hers and Ty's faces. The grey furred foxtaur grinned back at her, and eagerly stepped yet closer to the window, pressing his face through the open portal and out into the storm. In mere seconds his fur was sparkling with all the water droplets caught upon it, and his headfur was soaked through. He withdrew, and playfully, grinning from ear to ear, moved to nuzzle and rub his face up against his sister's own. She squealed with laughter, playfully batting at him but really making no move to escape. He nuzzled her, getting her face almost as wet as his, and with playful affection she nuzzled back.

It was amazing how quickly they were feeling rejuvenated and revitalised now that the cloudburst had dissipated the thick and muggy tension in the air. It may have been the middle of the evening already, but after a day spent doing nothing the siblings were feeling full of energy. Eager to do something, anything to take advantage of this freshness of spirit while it lasted.

Jumping only slightly as a bolt of forked lightning pierced the sky rather than the flashes that they had witnessed so far, Ty looked at his sister with a warm grim.

"So, you wanna do something tonight? Take a walk in the rain, hit up a bar or two?"

The vixen tossed her rather tangled and matted blonde hair over her shoulders, beaming and nodding at the idea, similar to one that had crossed her own mind just moments before.

"Yeah, we need to do something today. But, I should probably grab a shower first. Even with the air clearing I still feel like I've been walking through a swamp or a rainforest or something."

She tugged at one strap of her sports-bra, the only item covering either one of their large bodies. Ty chuckled, nodding in agreement.

"Same. Do you... uh..."

He looked out of the window, as though someone might have been listening from the street far below through the rumbles of thunder and the pounding of the rain.

"...do you wanna take it together?"

Emily's cheeks burned slightly, and she giggled as one of her hands fell away from the window ledge and drifted to grasp at one of her brother's own.

"That sounds like a plan. But... just a quickie, okay?"

Ty grinned, and was about to make some playfully self-deprecating joke about not knowing any other way when both of them yelped sharply. Another crack of lightning split the sky, but this time it didn't just flash overhead. It hit, striking a wired pole some way down the street but still within view of their window. There was a boom as the pole itself exploded in shards of metal and wood, a crackle as sparks rained down around them, and a series of loud pops from outside and in as what had to have been every fuse-box on the block blew out in the same exact moment.

The street lights, the apartment lights, they all fizzed and popped loudly, and though there was a brief flash from the wall-socket the TV's surge protector thankfully prevented it from shorting out, simply falling dark as the power died.

A few seconds later as the moment passed and the two fox-taurs began to draw breath once more after that instant of near heart-stopping shock, they realised that in their fright they had flung their arms around their sibling. Both Ty and Emily blushed, but neither one apologised, nor made any excuse for their fright. They did however look back out of the window at the dark street beyond, seeing a few other faces in other windows up and down the block, just as surprised as them. After perhaps another twenty seconds of just staring out at the darkness which encompassed not just their block but seemingly beyond for what little clarity they could gather through the still furiously falling rain, they withdrew again. Ty smirked, shaking his head in disbelief.

"Well, good thing we're not staying here all evening. I didn't fancy breaking out the Monopoly board like when we had power cuts as kids."

He began to walk to the bathroom, but paused as he heard his sister start to speak.

"Um...Ty?"

Ty looked back at the beautiful orange coated vixen, one eyebrow raised curiously. He said nothing, but his eyes widened and his cheeks burned a little with embarrassment as Emily made her point without delay.

"The shower, if that's where you're still headed? It's electric."

Chuckling dryly at his own foolishness, the fox sighed and turned back to his sister.

"Well shit. So... what do we do then? Get ourselves as cleaned up as we can?"

Emily thought for a moment, but sighed and shook her head.

"No. I mean... where would we go? It looks like more than one block is out. I don't fancy walking more than a couple of blocks or trying to call a cab in this weather, so what bar would we even go to?"

The grey furred foxtaur padded on the spot with his four large feet, frowning slightly.

"Yeah, you're right. Fuck. And I really wanted to do something tonight, too. All day we've been sitting around too fucked up by the weather to move, and as soon as the air clears up enough for us to actually start feeling energetic again..."

As if to make his point the lightning flashed and the thunder pealed loudly outside once more, almost perfectly overlapping now with the storm at its peak overhead. Before Ty could say anything else though, he felt a hand plucking one of his own from where it was dangling limp at his side. He smiled as Emily squeezed his palm in hers reassuringly, but one of his eyebrows rose as she continued moving past him, still holding onto his hand and using it to guide him in her wake.

"C'mon..."

She asked, and he followed without a word of a question. He trusted his sister absolutely. They had shared more than any brother and sister had any right to according to most, so whatever she had planned for him... for them... as long as it wasn't Monopoly, he'd trust her to know best.

Emily led her brother into the bathroom. It was almost pitch black, but a few seconds after she let go of his hand Ty heard the sound of a match being struck, and a small light appeared near the toilet casting a warm glow over Emily's suddenly visible face. She lit a pair of candles set upon the cistern of the toilet, and grinned as her brother looked at them in confusion.

"What? You thought they were just there for decoration?"

Ty opened his muzzle, then closed it again as he realised that yeah, he kind of had thought that. After all, why would you have candles in a room where you were almost always running water, even if they were supposed to be nicely scented. His confusion continued in a different track however as he watched Emily turn, her tail twitching and hips waving, towards the shower. It was a large cubicle covering almost one entire wall of the bathroom. Made to a size that would allow a taur not just to stand in it, but move and turn around in the space without being too cramped. Thus, in reality it was more than big enough for both of them. But... the power was still out, and that meant no water.

Dimly lit by the flickering candlelight, gentle aromas of orange blossom now beginning to radiate through the bathroom, Emily stepped into the shower cubicle and turned back to look at her brother. Outside the thunder rumbled once more, and the rain drummed against the bathroom's small frosted glass window as lightning flashed and briefly illuminated the room once more. In that light and the constant candles' glow Ty watched his sister peeling off her sports bra, and her hind-legs shifting slightly in their position against the cool base of the inactive shower, spreading and assuming a more sturdy, stable gait.

Her tail flicked up, and even in the gloom Ty could see a few droplets of moisture glistening upon her outer lips, reflecting the candles' flame. She giggled, and waved her hips temptingly to her sibling.

"C'mon. There might not be any hot water... but we can still take a shower. Still enjoy it just as much as we would have before. Only now..."

She looked around the dark room, raising her hands in demonstration of her point.

"I don't think there's any reason to make it a quickie."

The vixen giggled as her brother grinned in agreement, nodding as he already began to approach her. He slipped into the shower cubicle behind her, and Emily groaned as she felt his weight rise up and land upon her sturdy back. She felt him shuffling, squirming his way forward, forelegs wrapped around her lower torso and arms encircling her upper body's midriff when he grew close enough to do so. She blushed as she felt his tongue flick out and lap at the back of her neck, shuddering as she heard a rumbling growl and soon felt his teeth nipping at her in the same spot.

She felt his manhood. Swelling, growing, pressing against the back of her legs as he shuffled and manoeuvred himself carefully into position.

The rain drummed loudly against the windows of the apartment.

The thunder roared and the lightning crashed.

And yet as Ty slipped his cock deep into his sister's pussy and began to hump her, the first stroke of countless to follow that long, lightless and passion-fuelled night, their combined cries of pleasure out-matched them all.
