So awhile ago I had a roleplay idea that never got to happen. This story is based in that universe. A forest that was home to an old campground was the visiting spot for a bunch of college students looking to have a fun getaway. If they bit you and you happened to survive, you would become cursed and would be doomed to turn into a monster when at nightfall. These students could not contact the bus that drove them there and it was too far until the next town. They would have to find some way to survive long enough to find a way back home.
The context is that Shadow, the werewolf in this story, used to have a home in this forest. It was a small village that was overrun by a neighboring town, as well as these cursed monsters. He had survived, but had received an injury before fleeing. It seems that the curse only affects those in the forest. Which is why this would have acted up only now. I know, stupid explanation.
