Rahka turned from side to side, looking at herself in the mirror. She pursed her lips, smacked them gently. It was probably the first time she ever felt satisfied with her makeup and lipstick. The violet outline she'd traced over her lips looked... really cute. She was cute. For the first time, she actually felt attractive. The sheer dark dress she was wearing clung to her frame perfectly too. If she didn't know any better, she'd think it was tailored just for her. Her slim, tall body, her slightly thicker hips... all of it was accentuated beautifully by the dress. The wide-brimmed hat on her head completed the look, framing her femininity so flawlessly. She looked gorgeous, statuesque, but most importantly, feminine!
The panther smiled more openly as she turned to the side, sticking out her rump slightly as her silky tail raised up. A paw slid along the small of her back, down to her rump, and she mewled, pressing into it as she squirmed with visible pleasure. "Do you like it?" the sultry, feminine voice purred into her ear. "You look gorgeous." "I look gorgeous," Rahka repeated with a soft, woozy giggle. Her mind tingling just from the sound of Mistress' voice. Her fur standing on end. Thankfully, the dark fabric of the dress mostly hid the significant bulge between her legs, pressed into her tummy from the tights she was wearing.
Mistress's slender fingers squeezed Rahka's rump, and the kitty girl mewled again, her teal-furred tail curling around Her wrist.
Mistress' breath was in Rahka's ear. "Let's go outside, sweetie. The night is young..." Rahka nodded, quivering as her legs buckled briefly. The sheer bliss from being so close to Mistress, to her scent, to her voice... she couldn't ever recall a time when she was this happy. She was in heaven. In absolute, unending bliss.
And to think, that morning, she was dreading Halloween night...
Rahka stared at the ceiling. His eyes weren't focused on anything in particular as he laid in bed. The sheer gravity of the soft mattress was keeping him totally rooted to the spot. Him had the day to himself, and could already see that the whole day was going to be a total wash. Even though it was supposed to be one of his favourite days of the year - Halloween for fuck's sake - he didn't want to leave his house. He didn't want to leave his bed. He simply didn't see any point to it. It was as though there was a heavy sludge being poured over his mind and body. He knew objectively that he shouldn't allow this bad feeling to ruin his day. To prevent him from being social, from having fun.
But the voice of depression in his head was simply too thick, too loud, too insistent. He wasn't going to be getting out of bed alone, without some help. Not with those thoughts continually swirling around his head. Pinballing to and fro in his skull. The same repetitive thought, each repetition and echo growing louder, harsher, with each passing moment.
Then he heard his doorbell buzz. A sudden jolt that pierced through that thick depressive sludge. He had to answer the door... he wasn't going to let his bad thoughts stop him from that much at least. Even as the depression told him to stay in bed, to ignore it, to shut himself off... he made his way to the door. Hearing it buzz again as he picked up the phone next to his door. "Hello?" "Hey!" he instantly recognized Cat's voice on the other end. "Lemme in!" "Oh, shit, hey!" Rahka hit the buzzer on the phone, unlocking the downstairs door.
Right. He'd forgotten he'd invited Cat over! She needed his help picking out a costume for a party. And she'd told him she had something for him to try on too, if he was up for it... he wasn't sure what was in store, but he was pretty excited. Cat was great at surprises, after all.
Rahka left his door cracked open, and a few moments later, the golden-furred feline pushed her way through, with two large clothing bags draped over her arm. She used her free arm to give Rahka a big hug before she continued on her way. "Wait till you see these," Cat said, grinning impishly. "Let's go to your bedroom."
Rahka followed her in, and she wasted no time laying the clothing bags on Rahka's bed. The panther just gave her some space. Knowing that it was probably for the best to let her continue on her tangent until she was finished. When Cat was driven, she was driven.
"So. Okay." Cat's emerald eyes were glimmering. She directed Rahka's attention to a short dress, coloured a deep orange. "This... plus..." she took out a pair of pale white tights from underneath the dress. "This, plus a hat, I need to find one still... and your broom. You have your broom right? The really old one that came with the house?" "Yeah?" Rahka said. "So you're gonna be a Creamsicle witch?" Cat was beaming. "Exactly. I was hoping you'd get that! Something simple but classy. This would totally work for the party. But also, there's this..."
She opened the other clothing bag. This one was a lot more stuffed with outfits.
"You aren't gonna believe the awful shit I found at the thrift store..."
Rahka smiled as he stepped closer, his eyes wide with excitement. What cheap, chintzy crap had she found...?
As she dumped all the costumes out onto Rahka's bed, the first thing he noticed was that all of it was made of cheap polyester - some of it spongey and rough, some of it shiny and crinkly. Most of it felt as though it was already disintegrating, turning back into whatever natural gas it was made from. And it stank too. Not just a chemical smell, but that old thrift store smell with it too. It was upsetting, offensive. And Rahka already loved it.
He spotted the distinctive awful yellow of a Minion costume, of course. "ooh. That'd look horrible on me, it'd totally clash." "Oh god, it gets worse," Cat said with a giggle. She lifted that costume out of the pile, where he could see these awful synthetic pigtails sewn on. "It's a sexy Minion." "I'm already turned on." Rahka laughed.
"We've also got, hang on..." she sorted through the pile. "We've got... I think this is the Thriller costume?" she lifted up a pvc jumpsuit, that looked to be either faded or miscolored. "Or maybe some kinda sexy prisoner outfit? I don't even know." she flung it over her shoulder, and Rahka caught it. "I dunno... I don't wanna draw too much attention to myself tonight." Rahka felt a little throb at the back of his mind, feeling a little overwhelmed... "Speak for yourself!" Cat said, still rifling through the costumes. "I could go looking cute or I could go looking like an absolute trainwreck... and I don't know which one I'd rather do! You should take one of these though, while ya can."
Rahka found himself paralysed with indecision, though. His gaze leaping from chintzy costume to chintzy costume, unable to settle on any one thing. Would he look too silly in that one? Would that one fit him okay? This one looks like just a shirt and pants - oh, it's Spongebob. Okay. Maybe that one? Fuuuck, he just couldn't make any headway. All the costumes just seemed to blend together, which was bizarre considering how they were designed to stand out. His brain was just melding it all together... "Tell ya what," Cat said as she took her witch costume back. She'd made her decision. "I'll leave these here and you can do what ya want with em. You'd better be wearing one when you get to the party tonight." she winked.
"Am I in-" "Of course you're invited silly." Cat gave him a little bop on the nose. "It'll be fun, I promise."
Later that evening, as the sun was starting to set and the sky was turning a very dark blue, Rahka parked on the sidewalk and stepped out of his car. He looked up and down the leafy suburban street he was on, and could see the house Cat had told him about. A two story house, quite large, covered in orange and black ornaments and gently piping music out the windows. There were a few people out on the porch, who he didn't recognize. Cat had told him it wasn't going to be an insane party, nothing to be worried about. But he hadn't dressed up. He was just dressed in a shirt and slacks. Nothing fancy. He just failed to decide on something. And of course, the 'You failed' thought continued to course through his mind. The depressive thoughts were at him like a metronome. But he'd still managed to make his way all the way out here. That was good, right? Just the fact that he'd showed up?
The teal-furred panther made his way along the sidewalk, passing by a gaggle of neighbourhood kids who were running along, hurrying to the next house with their sacks bulging full of treats already. He smiled a little as they passed, then continued along. A bit of trepidation in his step. He was starting to feel the shame of having not dressed up creeping along his body. But he had to power through it. His gaze was focused on the house. His destination.
As he walked though, there was a flicker in the corner of his eye, and he looked across the street to the other house on the opposite side. Something about it caught him. It was a much smaller house than the rest of the houses on this street; most of them looked like they'd been built more recently, or remodeled perhaps. This one though... it was smaller, more vertical than the others, and it also looked quite old compared to the rest of the buildings on the street. A heritage site maybe? He looked at it from the other side of the street. The russet red brickwork of the building. The yellow light pouring from one of the windows, the subtle movement of the curtains as the wind blew it. The roof was a soft cream colour, the tone of those tiles reminding him of... well, not his childhood, but something similar to it. Something idyllic. Something he recalled from a long time before. The door way was slightly elevated too, several steps that went up to a large oak door with a spiralling, ornate knocker on it. The small porch itself was painted a similar shade to the roof, and the aged wood creaked under his steps as he made his way towards the door.
It was only as he was finally placing his hand on the knocker and tapping it that he came back to his senses and a sudden jolt of dread set in. He'd just walked across the street, up to this random person's house, and knocked on her door...! What was he thinking-
Before he could answer, the door opened, and on the otherside, standing a little taller than him, was a feminine raptor, dressed in an apron. A sweet smell came from behind her, it smelled as though she was baking something. Her scales were a pale yellow color, and she was adorned with white feathers, streaked and striped with shades of gold. Her eyes were a slightly imposing pink, and her teeth were razor sharp. But when she smiled at him, Rahka felt himself relax slightly. Felt his worries melt away, if only for a moment. She was holding a small bucket in one of her claws, and even though there looked to be a flicker of confusion in her eyes, she still smiled. "Can I help you?" she asked "I-I'm sorry, I think I got the wrong house." Rahka said, smiling apologetically. "All turned around hm? You're new to this area?" "Yes, I'm here for a party." Rahka took a slight step back. "It's across the street I think, so I just - " "Hang on a moment, sweetie." the raptor woman didn't stop smiling. But she took a step to the side, where Rahka could see into the front corridor of her home. Warm orange tones inside. A gentle movement of warm air that contrasted with the slight chill of outdoors. He found himself walking inside even before she made her invitation.
"Come in, please. There we are!"
The door closed behind him with a subtle click, and once again Rahka's mind switched back on. He shook his head, blinking a little rapidly. Not sure which end was up at the minute. "I'm sorry, I guess I'm a little loopy today," he said. "I'm Rahka." "Nidria." The raptor's claws caressed his wrist as she shook his hand. "Come have a seat, and we'll have some tea. Just to help you calm your nerves." "I... guess that'd be nice." "You don't seem like you want to go to that party just yet." Nidria led him into a small sitting room, with an incredibly large leather chair. She guided him to it, and practically pushed him into the chair. And he sank, and sank, and sank into it. Whoa, he was tense. Was being the key word. He practically melted in that chair as he gasped.
"Yes, yes, make yourself at home sweetie." Nidria smiled. There was something... pleasant about the way she called him sweetie. Nostalgic perhaps. It put him at ease. He let his gaze wander about the room as Nidria left him there. He could hear the whistle of a kettle boiling from the kitchen.
The room was quaintly decorated, very clean, reminding him of a very cosy cottage. That made the rather impressive television and sound system stand out even more. And he could see what looked like a very fancy VR headset sitting on the coffee table as well. Not the usual matte black color, this one seemed to be more translucent. It looked expensive. "Where did you get this headset?" he asked, reaching out gingerly to pick it up.
"Pick it up from the sides, don't let the visor get smudged, please!" Rahka obeyed, lifting the visor up curiously. It gave off a very subtle yellow glow as he looked at it. A flicker not unlike that of a candle. "That's actually a creation of mine," Nidria called out from the other room as she returned with two mugs of steaming hot tea. "I'm a bit of an engineer, a hobbyist." "Really?" Rahka said, nodding with interest. Not taking his eyes off the yellow glow coming from inside the visor. "This is pretty neat... do you make these for a living?" "Oh, no, I don't take my work home with me." Nidria leaned in close to put the cup of tea down next to Rahka. Giving him a closer look at her shapely, smooth body. Giving him the subtle scent of vanilla. Of fresh milk. Another wave of nostalgia and relaxation passing over him. "That, there, is a pet project of mine."
Rahka placed the visor back down on the table and took a sip of the tea. It was faintly bitter, but warm and soothing as the liquid trickled down his throat. "So, tell me," Nidria said, sitting down in a wooden rocking chair. Not seeming to mind if it made her seem a bit older. Rocking in it gently as Rahka's eyes followed hers. "What's got you so anxious about this party you're going to? If you don't mind my asking.
"I don't," Rahka said. "It's fine. It's just anxiety, being in a new place, not having a good costume... it's meant to be a costume party, and I'm not-" "Not dressed for the occasion. Mm." Nidria nodded as she rocked. Rahka nodded a little with her. "Are you afraid of how you'll be percieved?"
"M-maybe, I guess." "Ah, sorry, I'm starting to sink into my usual line of work," Nidria said. "Force of habit. Forgive me." "I forgive you." Rahka found himself saying, a little automatically. "This, uh, this tea is great!" "Good." Nidria smiled. Noticing how his gaze was flicking to the visor. "Why don't you try that on. I get the sense you'd like to, since you're here." He would like to. He reached over to pick it up, and placed it over his head - the straps had to be adjusted a little to fit him, but then it was secure and snug over his face, the same golden glow that he'd seen on the visor now tinting his whole vision. As he looked back to Nidria, the first thing he noticed as the display came to life was that... her eyes seemed even more beautiful now. She seemed bigger, too, more commanding. Authoritative. And as he looked to her, she snapped her fingers. "Start the rinse, please," she said. "Rinse, what's-" Rahka started to say, before the visor came to life. The little headphones near his ears began to pipe a thick wall of binaural sound, filling his mind and overriding his senses in an instant. The rippling golden glow of the visor became more pronounced too, turning into a twisting fractal spiral. It completely covered his vision, he had no hope of looking away even if he'd anticipated it. Words flashed briefly on the screen too, just long enough for the words - DEEP. RELAX. SINK. GOOD. - to gently settle in his mind, in the curvature of those spirals. He moaned with confusion, his gaze darting to the left, to the right, trying to find some place to look at that wasn't going to melt his brain. But he failed, and started to stare right ahead, letting those strange shapes wash over him. Silencing his conscious thoughts. His mouth hanging ajar as a little ribbon of drool slipped out of the corner of his mouth. He grunted softly. Whatever he was about to say moments before was just gone. Vanished into nothingness. It was nothing important anyway.
He got the scent of Nidria's body once more, feeling the warmth of her in his personal space. One arm under his legs. The other cradling his neck and head. She lifted him effortlessly, keeping him supported.
"Poor sweet little thing," She cooed, her claws massaging the back of his neck. "I see what's happening... falling that quickly, that easily, usually means you've got some serious tension on that little mind. We can fix that. We will fix that.~"
The visor remained on Rahka's face as he dangled in her embrace. Floating in it. Feeling the subtle rise and fall of her movements, a gentle lifting sensation as she brought him upstairs. Still gazing at that endlessly swirling pattern. Mouthing along to the words as they flashed briefly on the visor. The world outside that translucent yellow visor was a blurry smear of nothing, he simply had no reason to focus on it.
He felt his paws touch the floor, Nidria gently sliding him to his feet. One hand on each side of his head to keep him upright, gazing at himself in the mirror. At the spirals reflected on his woozy face. On the bulge between his legs as Nidria undressed him gently, easily. "Good girl," Nidria cooed. "Hold still for Mommy." Rahka nodded slowly. "Yes, Mommy," she said.
Accepting the new pronoun, accepting Mommy's new title as easily as you might change positions in a seat. She quite liked being called a girl, it felt so right, so why wouldn't she call herself what Mommy called her?
"Just hold still please, there's a good girl. I think I've got the perfect little outfit for you..."
As she stared and swayed, Rahka felt Nidria's claws gingerly work over her body. Removing her regular clothes. Unbuttoning her shirt and shrugging it off, unzipping and tugging down her pants and undies. She shivered a tiny bit, but the spirals helped distract her from that discomfort. She stepped out of those trousers and stepped into something silky smooth and stretchy. Mommy was kneeling before her, working the tights slowly up her kitten's leg. And they were a perfect fit too, warm and snug around her legs. "You like those?" Mommy asked, gently pulling the top of the tights above Rahka's navel, pressing her bulging cock against her stomach. It throbbed a little in the silken prison, letting out a tiny bead of pre. It wouldn't be noticeable against the dark fabric of the leggings anyway. "Yes..." Rahka giggled. "I love them so much~!" Next came the dress - she stepped into it at Mommy's behest. "Hopefully this'll fit, sweetie," Mommy cooed into Rahka's ear, and the panther girl giggled in response. As the dress slid up around her and she slid her arms through the holes, she could feel a constricting tightness around her ribs. But it wasn't uncomfortable. It was exhilirating. Even more so when she heard the soft growl of the zipper sliding up her back to her neckline. "Perfect!" Nidria said. "Now, what else can we slip on. Oooh. Yes, I know what would be perfect for you."
Mommy's claws caressed Rahka's cheeks and squeezed gently. Another giggle trilled from Rahka's throat as she felt the purple stick of wax press to her lips, caressing a very smooth ring around her muzzle. Accentuating the natural curves of her lip that were normally hidden away. "Beautiful, what a beautiful little kitty witch you are...~"
Rahka nodded, and giggled, feeling the subtle weight of a wide-brimmed witch's hat on her head. Feeling it sink onto her, feeling herself sink further into this comfortable mindset. She turned from side to side in the mirror, feeling the clawed hand caress her body. Mommy's hand. Guiding her. Coaxing her along.
The visor had been removed from her face. And she hadn't even noticed it happening, her mind was so full of those lovely yellow spirals. Her head spun deliciously, deliriously as she stepped out of the room. Mommy's hands were on her shoulders, helping her along. She wasn't sure which way she was going, but Mommy was telling her she was going the right way...
She could feel the night air on her face, shuddering slightly. But she continued along, feeling something slipped into her hand. A little plastic jack-o-lantern pail. "Keep going, sweetie, you know what to do..."
Rahka giggled vapidly, making her way across the street. Looking up to see that Mommy was still right behind her, coaxing her along. Mommy was so proud of her, and she was gonna make her even prouder! Her mind bubbled and popped and tingled with excitement and hypnotic bliss as she rang the doorbell.
She beamed with girlish pride, holding out her pail in front of her. Ready to announce those words with confidence. Ready to announce her presence and start enjoying her Halloween, the way she always was meant to.
"Trick or treat~!"
