Prologue
Crisp moonlit night? Check. Beautiful moonlight shining up the countryside? Check. Angry mob hellbent on skinning me alive? Unfortunately...check. Everything would be perfect save for the latter. This really is one of my favorite times to go out for a stroll, or at least it would be if I didn't have to run for my life! I can't help but think about all of the good times I used to have with these people, all the laughs and the shared meals. All the times we've shared pain and joy feel so distant now, so long ago. Now, I'm dodging claws and jaws left and right while trying tying my best not to trip my hindpaws up. Oh, right, I forgot to mention something pretty important. I'm your typical male werewolf - tail, paws, fluffy fur and all! The ones chasing me? They're also werewolves - my pack. Well, they were my pack...my family. Now, they just want me dead.
You might be asking at this point "what in the world did you do to make them hate you so much?" Honestly? I fell in love. Love wasn't normally forbidden in my pack, but it was for yours truly. The reason behind wasn't just because I liked another guy, but also who I had fallen for: the alpha's only son.
