The windows in the large building rattled from the explosion of magic as the village elders sat in their assigned positions, looking wearily at one another as they watched the circle of mystics that had managed to get into the hastily-erected barrier attempt to maintain it. "Have you managed to get a message to the seers of Deliro?" their leader said as he tapped on the carved wooden chair that had been his seat for centuries. "The last thing I want is for them to walk into a trap should our last stand fail."
"We managed to contact them, Altruis," another said nervously as an additional explosion rattled the area, several mystics flailing slightly before regaining their composure. "They had actually just crossed the Northern Hills and were skirting around the edges of the sacred woods in order to get to the village. Had they gone through the paths in the forest instead they likely would be standing here before us now, whether that be for good or ill we will never know."
There was a hush that fell over the five elder elves as they looked down, feeling the weight of those words as the ground rumbled underneath them. They already knew the village was lost as the barrier they could construct was only big enough to cover the hall and those inside of it. With the attack happening so fast, let alone under the cover of darkness, no one was prepared for what was coming, the elders and a number of mystics just making it inside the circle of power to save themselves. It might have all been for naught, though, especially as a particularly violent shake caused one of the mystics to slump forward before collapsing.
The nearest elder ran over and shuffled back with the unconscious elf, a few pointed ears piqued as it sounded as if their colleague was muttering something beneath their breath. When Altruis asked what he was saying the other elder looked up at him. "I think he's saying..." he said as he put his ear down closer to hear the whisper before standing up again. "Tae'geth?"
"Tae'geth..." Altruis said as the word sparked something in his memory. It was enough for him to get up from his chair and walk out of the room, telling the others to continue to hold up the barrier while he went down into the archives. The others looked at each other in confusion as he rushed out of the central chamber and down the stairs into the basement of the grand hall that kept all their knowledge. As he walked by he grabbed the services of another elf and told him to carry the lantern, the much younger male trailing behind as they went from shelf to shelf. At first Altruis didn't know what he was looking for, but as he scanned the ancient elven texts he finally came upon the book title that had been nagging at the back of his mind.
"The tale of Raz'geth," he said as he pulled it out, blowing the thin layer of dust off of the hard cover before opening it. "Of course... I knew I had heard some variant of that name before, Raz'geth was a dark sorcerer that had attempted to sink the entire world into utter blackness. They managed to bind him, though, a ritual of purification that left him frozen in a sacred tree for what should have been all of eternity."
"Was this our doing?" the young elf asked, Altruis shaking his head.
"No... though now that I know what tribe it was I wish it had been," he said as he closed the book. "This tome and the others came to our village after their original owners were destroyed... with none of them alive we didn't realize they had been holding back such evil on their own for so long. But there is hope yet, maybe not for us, but for the world in general..."
Meanwhile outside Tae'geth waited patiently as the barrier that separated him from the last bastion of the elves in this village began to flicker, the arcane energies unable to sustain itself under their barrage. The shamans that he had taken from the lycan village stood side by side with those mystics that they had managed to capture, all of them glowing with dark purple energy that arced between them and the barrier itself. More than once the volatile combination had caused an explosion, the nearby structures buckling from the shockwave as they continued to pour their energy into it.
"Master Tae'geth," the hulking rubber dragolf that had once been the alpha of the pack said as he bowed low, the tentacles on his back doing the same. "We have spread completely through the village, the last holdouts are being converted to grow your pack as we speak. We stand ready to complete the assault once our mages take down the barrier."
Tae'geth nodded as his eyes looked over the area that had been his home for the longest time, the memories of Taegen bubbling to the surface when he saw what had been his old stomping grounds. His mind went back to times during the day when elves walked from place to place, either going to the market for what they needed or setting to their tasks for the day. It had been a peaceful place, but now with his presence there he saw nothing but rubbery, corrupted creatures satiating their lusts on one another both in the streets and in the buildings that hadn't been damaged by the arcane explosions in a manner of pure chaos...
...he definitely liked it better this way, he thought with a smirk on his muzzle as the large dragon watched more cracks forming in the barrier.
A sudden shout from one of the mystics informed Tae'geth that they had managed to weaken a spot in the barrier that he would be able to push his way through. It was smaller than his draconic form would allow, though, so he quickly shifted back into his werewolf body, the shiny black creature striding confidently between his followers before moving up to the area where the magic shield covered the entrance. He could see where his magic users had done some serious damage, the entire area covered with a spider web of cracks and fissures that showed just how weak it really was. Though there was still quite a bit of potency in the barrier, which likely would have prevented one of his lesser creatures access, as he pushed his hand through the softened shield he found himself rather painlessly on the other side.
With the defenses bypassed he walked confidently into the building itself, looking around at the halls he used to occupy as an elf before making his way directly to the central chamber. When the corrupted creature got there he found that the pride of the elders had remained intact, the five sitting there in their seats as they looked down at him. "I have to commend you on your fortitude," he said with a smirk as he stepped over the unconscious bodies of the mystics that had passed out in their efforts to hold him back. "Most would have ran at this point and attempted to save themselves, though I had a feeling that I would find you here even after your defenses crumbled."
"So... it really is you, Raz'geth," Altruis replied, causing the shiny-furred creature to frown. "While I had hoped that we didn't have to face the likes of you, I am comforted by the fact that we were at least correct in what we were dealing with, even if it was in the eleventh hour."
Tae'geth sneered at the elders and continued to move forward, his pitch black eyes staring straight at the leader as he reached the middle of the room. "You are not quite correct in your assumption," he snarled as he held out his hands. "I may wield Raz'geth's power, but I am not here. Or do you not recognize one of your own anymore?"
"Maybe we will in time," Altruis replied before he suddenly stood up, capitalizing on the sudden confusion of the one looking at him. "Mystics, now!" As Tae'geth glanced around he saw a number of elves pop out from their hiding spots and direct their magics at them, palms glowing as they muttered ancient incantations. At first the corrupted creature was just going to smirk and shrug it off, but as he felt the familiar energy swirl around him his eyes widened and he roared before attempting to charge Altruis.
Before Tae'geth could get to the platform where the five sat; however, the glowing blue energy surrounded him, causing him to fall backwards as he hissed and thrashed on the stone floor. Not only could he feel his power leaving him as the glowing runes continued to brighten, but his physical form began to fade in contrast. For the first time since he had stepped foot in that cave Tae'geth could feel his muzzle begin to melt into his face along with his fur and scales. He screamed and swore as the tentacles he had grown so accustomed to retracted into his body while the muscle mass of his ripped physique bubbled away until he was left with his former body type. Though the rubbery shine of corruption was still clear on him, the rest of his body continued to revert until a naked elf laid there panting on the floor.
"It's worked..." one of the other elders said with a gasp as Tae'geth quickly crawled back onto his feet while composing himself. "Altruis, you did it! You've stopped the corruption!"
"If only it were that simple..." Altruis said before he turned to the young elf that had accompanied him in the archives, handing him the book. "The creatures outside should be temporarily disabled or at the very least unable to act, I want you to take this book to the seers of Deliro and tell them of what you saw here. Then I want you to tell them to depart as quickly as possible... I have the feeling that this plague will not be contained for very long."
The other elf nodded and quickly sprinted out of the room with the book, Tae'geth's inky black eyes following him the entire way before he turned his attention back to the elders who sat back down in their chairs. "So that's it," he said with a snarl, though it wasn't nearly as imposing as his teeth were only slightly pointed as he waved a clawed, scantly scaled hand in the air. "You think that because you managed to poorly copy some ancient ritual that this will stop me? I have an entire army ready to march on Deliro, and as soon as I get out of here you will fall to me as well."
"Perhaps we can't keep you here for long," Altruis said with a sigh as he sat back. "But perhaps we can at least remind you of where you came from, maybe give you a chance to fight the darkness that festers inside you. We might even get a glimpse of your former self... Taegen."
The naked elf male shouted in rage and made another run for where the elders sat, only to be reflected once more by the ancient magics that held him. As he staggered back he glared evilly at the mystics that continued to stay at the ready, maintaining the circle that contained him. Though he knew that meant that the barrier was likely completely down, Tae'geth realized that with his connection to his converted severed they were likely either running amok or incapacitated, which meant that he would need to save himself even without his powers as he picked himself up. When he did he saw something that caused him to pause, then proceeded to stand up straight and smirk at the council of elders.
"You think just telling me my old name is really going to bring me back like that?" Tae'geth said as he stood there. "That I'm going to be reminded of... what, the good times that I had in the village as an elf and how if I continue my conquest that it would all be gone? I have grown past such paltry needs, now my purpose is far greater than you ever imagined."
The elders frowned and looked at one another as Tae'geth continued to chuckle darkly. "I do not think we can get to him... he is far too gone," one of them said as Altruis furrowed his brows in frustration. "We have him trapped, perhaps we should be looking into a way of destroying him. With him cut off from the others it could stop this once and for all."
"The legacy of Raz'geth is not that he was a careless man," Altruis replied. "No doubt if his physical form was destroyed the darkness would either move on to another host or consume the area that we're in and corrupt everything from there. No... this thing is far more dangerous than that, you have to think of the corruption itself as a living entity, the geth part of Tae'geth after it had subsumed his elven host. If Taegen is in there it sounds like he is unlikely to come out on our command, which means he will have to be trapped with the darkness just like Raz'geth was."
There was another fit of laughter from inside the protective circle, enough for them to look down as Tae'geth continued to stand there. "Do you honestly think that you possess the power to trap me?" he said after he had finished, his smirk still on his face. "That entire village took all its power and resources into trapping my predecessor and he still managed to escape. Just because you have me here to listen to your plan doesn't mean that you're going to be able to do the same. Perhaps if you give yourselves willingly to me, though, I can let you continue to rule over your village... I did make the same deal with the alpha of the lycan pack and he seemed more than willing to take it after a bit of persuasion."
"You hold no sway over us, demon," Altruis spat. "We will never accept any bargain you make to us, even with our last breath."
"Demon..." Tae'geth said as he tapped his chin. "I like that, something to keep in mind for later. But as for right now I will give you two options; either you tell your mystics to release me from this prison and I will give you power like you never believed you could wield, or you can decide to continue this fool's errand and I can try out something special for your new bodies."
Though no one said anything it was clear that the ultimatum had the desired effect on them, all of them looking at one another wearily as Tae'geth continued to smirk. "You seem rather confident for one that is still trapped," Altruis finally spoke as he leaned on the armrest of his chair. "What makes you think that we'd take this deal of yours so seriously?"
"Oh... I fully expect you not to take the deal," Tae'geth replied, taking them all by surprise. "I expect to escape, I just needed you to keep your attention on me fully for a little while longer. By the way, while it's not going to matter to you in a few minutes, there was a reason why decided to take Raz'geth to a cave before they confined him, especially since they decided to make his prison a tree..."
No one was quite sure what that meant until they heard the sound of the hewn stone underneath them splitting apart, tendrils of shiny black plants quickly growing up their legs. As Altruis tried to stand up he found his arm bound to the armrest by the wood of his own chair as the other elders realized the same. The other vines that Tae'geth had seized control of quickly dismantled the circle enough for the energy that contained his corruption to cease. The second those runes stopped glowing he felt the power rush back into him, his body twisting and growing until he was he was back to his heavily-muscled hybrid state once more. With his transformation complete he flexed his clawed fingers with a grin on his muzzle before turning to the restrained elves, struggling against the vines now wrapped around their chests.
"What to do, what to do..." Tae'geth said as he moved over to the cluster of mystics and rubbed a hand under one of their chins. "I have to say that I'm impressed with the level of aptitude that you displayed trying to create not only a barrier that would keep me out, but a containment circle that would keep me in. Though you failed on both parts, it wasn't for the lack of effort. Now... while I've got many werewolf dragons, I don't have a lot of dragon werewolves... I think it's time to change that."
With a snap of his fingers the rock underneath the mystics exploded outwards, plant vines coming up to completely engulf the terrified elves. As they quickly wrapped their way around their lithe bodies the robes they had been wearing disintegrated by the acidic slime that the corrupted plants exuded, though when the goo touched their actual flesh it instead caused a very powerful tingle of pleasure to radiate through their bodies. It wasn't long before the loud moans of the elves filled the air before they were silenced, one by one, with large plant vines that slithered around their necks and heads before pushing their way into their mouths. Though he couldn't see them Tae'geth also knew that one of his vines were likely penetrating their holes as well as the smaller ones stroking their cocks, keeping them suspended in the haze of pleasure as the elders could see some scales and muzzles forming around the vines invading their maws before they were completely encased.
"Rest now, my children," Tae'geth cooed as he patted one of the plant cocoons, feeling the pulsating plant flesh throb with the pleasure of the elf encapsulated within it before he turned his attention away from the latex pods and to the still-trapped elders. "Now what to do with you... while I'm a little upset that you didn't take my offer, I have to say that I am still impressed by your integrity. Do I reward or do I punish... decisions decisions."
"Curse you, foul creature!" the elder on the left shouted. "We will see you rotting in the foulest depths of the abyss!"
Tae'geth chuckled and turned his attention to the elf as one of the plant vines snaked up and pressed into his mouth to silence him. "I think we're going to do a punishment for you," he said as the other elders looked on in fear. "Luckily I have just the thing for you I want to try out..."
"Please!" another elder cried out as the vines grew out over the elf's body, the darkness spreading over him as it burned away his clothes and revealed growing muscles. "Spare us our lives and we can help you! You don't need to do this!"
"Damn it, man, pull yourself together!" Alturis said with gritted teeth as he looked over the panicking elf.
"I agree," Tae'geth replied as he turned to him and snapped his fingers, the struggling male also having the shiny vines grow over his body. "I think a similar punishment is in order, I don't need such cowardice in my ranks." The remaining three elders watched in their restrained state as the two elves both began to twitch and quiver while the vines not only wrapped around them further, but actually melted into their flesh. Their eyes glassed over as the corruption was pumped into them, and as they were able to stand up from their chairs they were a parody of their former selves, blackening flesh spreading across their increasingly muscular bodies as they roared and drooled from their growing muzzles.
The other elders watched in silent apprehension as the two mutated elves continued to grow, their eyes growing glassy as the intelligence left them. Their bodies were more vines than flesh and they continued to wiggle around their changing forms as their hands and feet grew more bestial in nature. Unlike his other minions these creatures were more plant than dragolf as the last of their elven nature disappeared under the corrupted flora. They both quickly grew up to about double their height and the wood of their chair splintered as they took the heavy talons of their feet and pushed their way over to Tae'geth's sides.
"You three are definitely of a higher caliber than those two," Tae'geth said as he looked at the other three. "It may not seem like it at this exact moment, but I did hold you in high respect elder Altruis, with these two as your consorts I think you will do just fine as the leader of the elves I have converted from this village. We just need a better form for the two of you, and since the alpha took care of the werewolf aspect, let's infuse something a little more draconic into your new bodies..."
"You may think you've won," Altruis said as he began to feel the vines slither their way over his body. "But this battle has just begun... the others will stop you."
"You see," Tae'geth said with a chuckle as he hopped up on the bench that sat in front of the elder, putting his furry fingers on the elf's face and causing the skin to darken where it touched. "This is what I need, that brilliant resolve. You are going to be fantastic once I'm done with you."
Altruis wanted to stay resolute but he could already feel the foul magic pushing into his psyche. A glance from side to side revealed that the other two had also already begun to transform as well, already drooling as the powerful corruption and lust pushed into their minds as well. It was a potent mix of power and pleasure all rolled into one, and even though the elder elf was attempting to retain his mind, he was lucid enough to know that this brand of corruption was extremely seductive. Even though he was no stranger to sexual escapades himself he felt his libido ramp up to eleven as the tentacles around him continued to press him against the wood of his chair.
Though the leader of the elven village continued to resist the power of the manipulation it was clear that the other two elders were fighting a losing battle, their breaths ragged and the liquid dripping from their mouths growing thick and black. Their hands, still tied down to their chairs by the shiny black wood that had captured them in the first place, quivered and shook as they stretched out into long, clawed digits. Unlike the usual digits that his minions had these were far different, several of the toes merging together to form thicker ones as heavy scales grew over them. Loud snarls escaped their lips as they pressed against their restraints while their arms began to pop and thicken. Tae'geth gave a fanged smirk as their limbs shifted to their new configuration into a powerful pair of hindpaws as they shifted to a quadrupedal configuration.
"Now you're starting to see the true extent of my power," Tae'geth said as he scratched his claw tip against Altruis' nose as it sank back into his face, the scales growing on his flesh, protecting it as he began to feel his own body growing with muscle. "Those two will be your and the werewolf alpha's new mounts, only the best for those who make sure my minions stay in line. I believe those in power are there for a reason, and turning you into mindless beasts or drones would just be a waste of talent, don't you agree?"
Even though he didn't want to do anything the transforming elf elder found his head nodding up and down, following the blank eyes of the one that was the cause of it all. Their muzzles continued to grow closer and Altruis found himself leaning in despite everything, the connection between the two corrupted creatures growing as they met in a kiss. Their embrace was short-lived, though, as a set of roars on either side of them caused them to separate and look at the source of the noise.
The two former elves had grown huge as they pushed forward and snapped the wooden barrier that separated their seating from the main hall, the two immediately heading towards one another. The two could see that lust had completely overtaken them, the mostly draconic creatures trying to get the advantage before one finally mounted the other. Even though Altruis knew that those two had been his friends, the only thing his corrupted mind could think of was that he didn't want to have to fight the werewolf Alpha for the one on top...
Meanwhile as the entirety of the elven village turned into a corruption-fueled orgy three elves looked on from a nearby hill, watching as those that attempted to escape were captured and soon turned into the same brand of lustful creatures that had caught them. "Do not fret, young one," one of the two cloaked figures said as he put a hand on the third that had fallen to his knees. "Had you tried to stay and help you would just be one of those things now under the control of Tae'Geth, coming out here to us was very brave."
"Don't feel that brave to go off and run away," the lone survivor of the village said, trying to keep the tears from streaming down his face as he watched several creatures come out of the village center, two rubber-like draconic werewolves riding equally shiny, huge feral dragons followed by the corruptor himself. "What do we do now?"
"Right now it appears that they are consolidating their forces," the same cloaked figure said as he pulled out a carved stick with golden letters on them, the crystals on the ends starting to glow as the other cloaked elf turned his head towards him. "It's like a cyst on this planet that's about to rupture, spreading through the land like an infection. We have to report back to the elders at Deliro and hope that they can use the information we have found can try and cure it... or at the very least contain it."
"I suppose it's as good a time as any to use the artifact," the second cloaked elf said as he brought the kneeling one up to his feet and brought him in close. "You're going to want to stay as close to us as possible..."
All three huddled together and the elf took the stick and held it into the air, a blue glow surrounding them all before the light grew brighter around them. Even though the creatures nearest to them in the village began to look up and take notice of them the magic would not be stopped, the elf with the artifact chanting the ancient words of the teleportation spell attached to it. Then with a flash the three were gone, leaving nothing but a scorch mark in the ground which Tae'Geth had been looking up toward as a smile crossed his face.
