The city of Deliro was buzzing with activity; a few days after the report on the corruption of their village near the sacred woods everyone was preparing for the worst. While they hadn't been sure of what Tae'Geth's plans, a few hours later their magic detected the movement of a swelling darkness beginning to approach them. Thankfully the army that the corruptor had created moved rather slowly, allowing the elves time to shore up their defenses in order to try and hold back the scourge coming in their direction. Magical artifacts and tomes were taken out of the city while weapons and armor were enchanted in order to try and take down the creatures that threatened their way of life.

In the hall of elders the one that had been at the village sat in his usual chair, his hood pulled back to reveal his draconic features while the others continued to try and figure out just how they were going to defeat Tae'Geth and save themselves. "We can't just wait for the human kingdoms to the South," one of the elves said. "They said that it would take a week for them just to send us some of their magi and several months to mobilize an army to get here and take care of this threat."

"We can't hold off Tae'Geth by ourselves," another spoke up. "And if he manages to take this city and all the people within it he would have enough monsters to spread unchecked through all our lands. It would be a new age of darkness, one that would never end unless we figure out how to stop him"

"What of the dragon clans in the northern mountains, Fir'Diril?" one of them said that caused the half-dragon to look up suddenly. "Surely they can recognize the gravity of the situation enough to send their own to help us in these pressing times."

Fir felt the eyes of the entire council towards him and he tried his best not to sink down in his seat as they waited for him to give his report. "I have managed to talk to the clans that are closest to the hills," the half-dragon said as he tried not to look nervous. "They said that though they would want to help, they believe that should they send even a single clan of dragons to help the cause and they get converted, it would increase the rate of corruption tenfold. Though they have sent a number of enchanted stones to aid us with our defenses, they will not risk exposing themselves to this plague."

There was a chorus of dissatisfaction as Fir immediately stood up as the roar of their arguments reached a crescendo. The half-dragon decided that his time of usefulness was at an end and decided to leave the chamber, no one even noticing that he had done so as he walked down the stairs and out of the building. When he walked out the normal crowds that usually walked the city center were absent, either they were called in to fight in the coming war or they shuttered themselves in their homes. A fair few had already left the city entirely, and as Fir could start to sense the oncoming dread it made him wonder if they weren't the smart ones as he walked to his own house.

"Welcome home, Master Fir," an elf said after Fir had walked in, his apprentice holding out his hands to collect his cloak and staff. "How did the meeting go?"

"About as well as I had expected," Fir replied with an exhausted sigh. "Tae'geth will probably be inside the hall of elders and they'll still be arguing about how to deal with him. Thankfully we still have some time to prepare... but if they can't decipher the ritual used by those in the sacred woods that trapped the original corrupter, I may just think about going up to the mountains to try and live with my kin. But enough unpleasantness for now, how is our young guest doing?"

As the two walked through the hallways towards his guest room his servant informed him that the one he had brought back from the village was still forlorn and sulking in the room that they provided for them. Fir had been concerned with the elf's mental state ever since he had lost his entire village to the corruption, and any interactions that he had set up often ended up with him shaking by the end of it. "Hey Marrin," Fir said as he knocked on the door of the guest room, peeking in to see that the elf was just sitting there on the edge of his bed. "If you are feeling up to it I would like to take you to the tavern, get some fresh air in your lungs."

Though he could tell the other male was reluctant Fir saw him nod and once Marrin had gotten ready the two walked silently out of the house and down into the streets once more. Even though the threat of Tae'geth continued to loom over everyone there were still those bold enough to keep their shops open, and Fir took him to one that he happened to frequent before the crisis. Unlike before; however, there were very patrons in the bar that frequented the area, which even though it was a sign of the impending doom it meant that Fir didn't have to remain hooded as they went to get their food. Even once they had sat down and started eating the elf remained silent, looking down at his meal while the half-dragon eyed him up.

"You know Marrin, if you don't speak up soon I'm going to start to get worried," Fir finally said, which seemed to snap the elf out of his fog and look up at him. "Well there's a start I suppose. I know that the others grilled you quite a bit when it comes to what you may have seen when it came to your mages trapping Tae'geth, but if you could remember anything else it may be quite useful."

There was a long silence between the two of them before the elf finally let out a long sigh. "Like I told the elders and the magi, I wasn't there when they actually cast the ritual from the book," Marrin finally said as he picked at his food. "They called and told me to take the book and escape with it, which I did. And... there were those eyes..."

"Eyes?" Fir asked, his own eyebrows slightly raised the moment the elf mentioned it.

"When I was walking out of the council chamber I caught a glance at Tae'geth... when he was back to his old elven form," Marrin explained. "Those eyes... even now when I close my own I can see those shining, black eyes of his. It was like he was trying to bore right into my soul, and now I can't stop seeing them in my mind..."

"Why didn't you tell the mages about this?" Fir said as he crossed his arms. "I'm worried about you... we already know that this creature's corruption doesn't necessarily extend to physical touching, even with the barrier that your village leaders had put up you may have been exposed to something. I think it would be best if you got put back in the care of the mages while the threat of Tae'geth remains."

To the half-dragon's surprise Marrin violently shook his head and nearly pushed his food all the way across the table onto Fir's lap, only catching it in the last second while the elf put his face in his hands. It was clear that he didn't want to go anywhere, though no doubt with how hard the elders grilled him the half-dragon couldn't blame him. He remembered the looks he got when he first arrived in the city, himself; no one trusted him to come within twenty paces in case he had been a spy for the dragon clans of the north. It took decades to get them to trust him, aided by his innate magical abilities, and even now they likely harbored some mistrust towards him.

Once Marrin had calmed down the two of them ate in silence for a while, then the two made their way back towards Fir's house instead of towards the magi academy. Though the elf seemed somewhat grateful it still did nothing to ease the fears that the encroaching corruption was going to somehow affect his ward. When they got back home the half-dragon decided to give him one last look over with his powers and, once he saw that there was still no real sign of the corruption that he saw in the elf's body, retired back to his study in order to keep looking at what else he could do to stop Tae'geth from overwhelming the city. Outside he continued to hear the sounds of their warriors training to attempt to push back the forces of darkness as the light of day once more surrendered to the blackness of night.

As the moon began to rise up into the sky Fir heard the door open and looked up to see his servant asking if he needed anything else before he turned in for the night. The hybrid shook his head and waved him off, leaving him to his thoughts as he used his quill and ink in order to scrawl his notes on a piece of parchment while he continued to examine a copy of the tome he had made. The elves of the village that had created this had tapped into some truly ancient and primal magic, he realized as he thumbed over to the next page, and without the proximity of the sacred woods they might never be able to recreate the imprisonment they had used to seal away the original corruptor. He sighed and put his hand to his head as he read, only to stop when he saw a splotch of black appear on the margin of the page.

Fir cursed himself for getting ink on such an important tome as he pulled the feather away from it, only to see that the tip was completely dry from the time between now and when he had taken his notes. For more than a few seconds he just looked down at it confusion, then back at the page to see that the droplet was now accompanied by a second one, then a third before he realized where it had come from. Slowly he put his fingers up to his nose and felt the liquid that was on them before pulling it back to reveal the ichor on them. His hand began to shake slightly as his eyes widened before quickly pulling back from his desk to grab something to wipe his face.

"Bit of a nosebleed?" a deep, dark voice said next to him that caused the half-dragon to bolt up from his seat and turn to face the smiling, rubbery dragolf. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you in person."

"How..." Fir said as his mind raced, trying to think of how this situation possibly happened to him and how to rectify it. "How did I miss Marrin's infection and how did you get to me?"

"Your first mistake was thinking that I would do something as foolish as transfer directly into the elf that you'd be suspicious of," the monstrous humanoid said as he began to walk around the desk, not even really regarding the half-dragon as he began to play with things on it. "Not only would that have taken a considerable amount of time and energy to corrupt such a weak creature from such a distance away, but I wouldn't get much out of it... you on the other hand, not only are you a powerful mage, but you have dragon blood coursing through your veins. It wasn't too hard to remain dormant in the elf you rescued; I would have waited until I was closer, but I figured it was time to act after our mutual friend told you about my eyes."

Fir felt his breathing quicken even as he tried to keep himself calm and collected, knowing that the creature wasn't actually here, but somehow projecting into his mind. While he was glad that the corrupted creature wasn't in the city it did mean that he had been corrupted by whatever foul magic it had. "Don't know why you need me," he said as took a deep breath and attempted to focus his draconic magic in order to purge whatever taint he had picked up while he attempted to keep the demonic creature busy. "You'd think after the corruption of two villages you would have more than enough power to take over the city."

"You creatures think that the only way to take over anyone is to just go brute force and invade them," Tae'geth replied with a chuckle. "That would be funny if it wasn't so sad. No... that's not how corruption works... corruption is what slowly infiltrates when you're not looking. Corruption also is rather fond of using your own abilities against you..."

When Fir heard that he immediately realized what had happened, but before he could dissipate the energy that he had stored up while Tae'geth distracted him it instead coursed through his system. Fir let out a groan as he fell to his knees, his veins turning pitch black as the corruption that had tainted his energy was unwittingly released into his own body. He could hear the dragolf chuckle as Fir struggled to fight off the will of the creature seeping into his own psyche, panting heavily as he managed to brush the potent fog of lust away before it could continue to erode his faculties. Fir heard the sound of clapping as he slowly staggered to his feet, coughing more of the shiny black substance as he did so.

"You are quite the fighter," Tae'geth complimented as he stopped clapping and hopped up to sit on his desk. "Perhaps instead of the two of us taking blows at one another we can make a little deal."

Fir growled in a purely draconic tone as he glared up at the smirking monster. "Like I would believe something like you," he said as he attempted to quell the still lingering horniness that his backfire of power inflicted on him. "You said yourself... corruption serves to infiltrate."

"Well now, someone is certainly paying attention," Tae'geth replied with a chuckle. "But in this case you really have little choice... as of right now you have to decide who you're going to betray, your dragon heritage or your elven heritage." When the hybrid looked up at the creature his grin had grown even wider. "As of this moment your elven mages are deconstructing part of that ritual book you took in order to try and weaken the corruption in my city, should they succeed then it's going to be far harder for me to invade, and I don't feel the desire to push my way into your territory through sheer numbers."

"Sounds like a good thing," Fir managed to retort.

"I'm sure it would be for the elves here," Tae'geth continued to explain. "So I would have to probably find a target elsewhere... you know, I hear the mountains are lovely this time of year. Perhaps I could even visit some of the dragon clans that I know are up there, is there anything that you'd like me to tell them for you?"

Fir felt his blood run cold in his veins as the corrupted creature smiled even wider at him, knowing that his threat had sunk into the half-dragon. There was nothing that he could do to Tae'geth, he was just a mental projection in his mind, and he had a sinking feeling if he tried to do something mentally it would open the window for the rubbery creature to seep further into his mind. "What are you asking for me to do?" Fir asked, disgusted at himself for even thinking about betraying his people like that. "Just destroy the book, the thing the mages have in their sights nearly twenty-four hours a day in order to try and stop you, and hope that they're going to say that it's alright?"

"I didn't say that it was going to be easy," Tae'geth replied with a chuckle. "While I have other things that someone on the inside such as yourself could do, the biggest help you could provide would indeed be destroying the book. Of course if you don't succeed then you will at least provide a bit of a distraction when you are completely corrupted, especially as I grow closer to your precious city... then of course they'll likely imprison you and study you while I go and take care of those clans up in the mountains instead."

Fir growled but didn't do anything about it as the dragolf continued to circle around him while the corruption pulsated inside him. It was clear no matter what he did Tae'geth had managed to sink his claws into him. Though he could possibly try and talk to the shamans about purifying his body he could sense that the creature was actually holding the corruption back, keeping it from completely overtaking him right away. It would be very easy for the dragolf to remove that dam and let all that taint flood through his body and transform him. He saw what happened down there in the village, watching as elves were turned into monsters, and that was before Tae'geth had assumed complete control to gain even more power.

As Fir looked back up to tell Tae'geth that he would do what he asked, as well as add a few colorful draconic insults of his own, he found that the monster had disappeared from his study. When he walked back over to his desk and saw the book that he had been working on he found himself growing intensely frustrated and threw off almost everything on his desk in a rage. As the books and papers thudded and fluttered to the ground he slammed his fingers against the heavy wood, his clawed fingertips making divots in the polished surface. As he breathed heavily he saw more of the thick, black liquid dripping down onto the desk, and not only from his nose, but from his mouth as well.

The ichor quickly turned to smoke in the light as he sat back down in his chair, wiping the black liquid from his mouth and nose as he tried to think about what he was going to do. Though he knew that Tae'geth was probably lurking about in his psyche still, which meant that he had to be careful about what he thought from now on. There was also the burgeoning problem that he noticed as he realized that beneath his pants he could feel his groin begin to stir. Whether Tae'geth had intended it or not he could feel his horniness begin to rise already as he attempted to stand up once more and leave his study.

As the hybrid moved to his own room in order to get ready his superior hearing detected someone walking down the hallway towards it. "I know that I made a mess in the study but I'll clean it up-" his sentence was cut short when he saw whose face peeked through the doorway. "Oh, Marrin, I need to go and talk to the mages about something. You know where the food is if you get hungry."

"It's not that," Marrin said as he looked down at the floor. "I know that I was rather distant with you when you were trying to reach out and make sure that I was alright. I couldn't sleep, all I could think about was how you were trying to help me... so I just felt the need to come up here and apologize."

Even though he could tell the feelings were genuine when the other elf looked up at him, the hybrid could see that there was something else in his eyes. Whether it was Tae'geth's influence or just extremely unfortunate timing there was a spark of lust between them, and as both males continued to stare at each other Fir found himself leaning in closer to the other elf's face. Though Marrin could see him coming closer he didn't seem to be able to say anything, and a part of Fir hoped that Marrin had enough sense to realize something was wrong and run away. That didn't happen, though, and the half-dragon soon found his lips pressed against the elf as his hand slid up the tunic of the other male and pressed against his bare chest.

Fir knew that he had made a terrible mistake allowing his body to succumb to the lust that he was feeling, already sensing the corruption that he was infested with moving to the other elf... but he found himself unable to do anything about it as their make-out session continued. When the two continued to kiss they found both their bodies getting pushed back towards the bed. At this point Fir was no longer in control of his body, at least he didn't feel like it anymore, and whether it was him being insatiably horny or a more direct influence from the corrupter himself he couldn't stop kissing the other elf. By the time the hybrid regained enough composure the two had already fallen back on his bed with both of their erections throbbing against each other.

When the half-dragon broke away to try and stop this he could already see that the corruption he harbored in his body had taken hold, the face of the elf spider-webbed with black veins. "Marrin..." Fir whispered as the elf looked at him with desire. "I'm so sorry..."

"You shouldn't be," Marrin replied as a small grin played on his lips. "You know as well as I do that Tae'geth used me to get to you... now that his power flows through my veins I can see that I was marked no matter what, and that he used me to get to someone like you since he knew I was going to escape. So if anything I should be the one apologizing, though now that I've tasted the power of Tae'geth I can't imagine why I would want to."

Fir could see that even though Tae'geth hadn't directly corrupted him, being in the mere presence of that influence had eroded his will to the point where the elf didn't need much to push him over the edge. Though the half-dragon wasn't much better he still had his faculties about him enough to realize it, though he still found himself pushing his tongue once more down the corrupted male's throat. Marrin also showed the weakness in his body as shiny black fur begin to sprout over his face while it began to stretch, forming into a muzzle as he began to growl and snarl in lust. The half-dragon wondered just how he was going to hide this now that he was tasked with destroying a book preventing this, but that thought popped out of his head when he felt his clothing get taken off.

Though Fir was about to kick the amorous elf off of him when he suddenly heard Tae'geth's voice in his mind, telling him that if he was going to hide that corruption long enough to get into the mage's repository to steal the book he was going to need to... store it somewhere. Once more the hybrid frowned as he realized the dragolf had continued to show just how devious he was, though at this point he could tell what he was talking about as even the thought of resisting Marrin's advances caused his body to quiver with change.

It was clear that Marrin was already lost to the taint as Fir watched his pants get pulled down by the bushy-furred elf, watching him nuzzle his increasingly stiff cock with that new muzzle of his. Even though the hybrid knew that this was wrong he found himself unable to stop himself, the lust that he had been feeling growing exponentially by the second as that mutated tongue licked up his shaft. As Fir felt his breath begin to quicken he realized his hands had already drifted towards the transformed head of the other male and watched as his already-pointed fingernails began to grow longer with a slight curve. He knew that Tae'geth had been telling him the truth, if he didn't take advantage of Marrin's need the corruption would take him over, too, and he wouldn't be able to save the dragon clans of the north. Of course that would probably help spare the elves... but if anyone was going to stop the corruption it would be the ancient creatures that were likely alive when the original corruptor was still alive.

As he continued to think of the dragons in the mountains Fir let out a gasp when those thoughts turned increasingly sexual towards them, shaking his head and focusing back on the one that had started to wrap his lips around the head of his cock. At this point the hybrid could feel his blood boiling and the scales that were on his body began to thicken and turn black as well, the corruption inside him continuing to manifest. A slight growl escaped his lips despite himself as he looked down at the transforming dragolf and pushed the newly-grown muzzle down his cock all the way to the base. Both males groaned, and as soon as Fir felt the suction of the hot, rubbery walls press against his sensitive flesh he felt the passionate desire inside him begin to die down.

"Oh gods..." Fir moaned as he tilted his head back, feeling his face begin to revert back after his nose had nearly merged into his swollen face. As his fangs retracted back into his normal, slightly pointed teeth he knew that his corruption was abating... for the moment. At the same time as he looked down at the former elf sucking on his cock he knew where it was all going, watching those pointed ears growing longer and migrating to the top of his head while a thick, heavy draconic tail began to push out from the base of his spine. As a pair of furred and scaled wings emerged from his back Marrin began to look more like a dragon than he did, though it was one that shined unnaturally in the light that also had very lupine features like the muzzle bobbing up and down on his member.

The pressure of Tae'geth's essence was quickly alleviated into the male beneath him as Fir got more into it, pumping his hips forward into the other male's waiting maw. At this point the elf that the hybrid had taken into his home was almost completely gone, the shiny mix of dragon and werewolf still kneeling before him even after Fir climaxed into his mouth. Those reptilian eyes stared up at him as Marrin slowly drew off of the softening member, which as those lips withdrew from the flesh had turned longer, thicker, and rubbery. It was clear that the corruption had not completely left him and there was no way that he was going to be cleansed without the help of the clerics, and at that point the deal would be off to save his dragon brethren.

Fir slowly pushed Marrin away and knelt down beside the transformed creature, hoping that there was enough left of the elf to be able to communicate. "Marrin, I will fix you..." the half-dragon promised as he cupped the dragolf's muzzle with his hands and looked into those eyes. "But until then I need you to stay here and out of sight... right now I have to play Tae'geth's game in order to keep my draconic ancestors safe, but I know that there is a way to save everyone in this city too. Be strong, Marrin."

"I'll be strong for you, Fir," Marrin replied happily, taking the hybrid by surprise with a lick to his face. "But I don't know why... now that I've given myself to Tae'geth I feel such relief and pleasure unlike anything that I've ever experienced before. If I had known that it was going to be like this I would have given myself over to him when he gifted us in my village."

Even though Fir felt disgusted at hearing the praising of such a vile creature he tried not to show it as he pet Marrin's head and told him he was a good boy. It appeared that even though there was pure bliss being felt for the corruptive creature there was still some loyalty for him, hopefully enough that the dragolf would stay in his house. While he hated that there was a chance that Marrin may corrupt another he was more worried that the others would find him and do something to him or, even worse, destroy him to try and preserve the city. He was now running against the clock in a number of different ways as he got dressed and moved out of his home and into the city proper.
