Jake and Gena arrived at the site of the original camp and looked around, Jake shook his head "oh this brings back such bad memories"

Gena held his hand tighter and remained silent. "I'm sorry I dragged you along babe" Jake said "It was such a stupid idea to come..."

"Jake!" Gena exclaimed, wanting to say more but was at a loss for words.

He shook his head "I'm sorry babe, it's just the park and all the people that died and now Matt is here and in danger and I was dumb enough to bring you"

"Jake" Gena stated before pausing "You wouldn't be able to stop me from coming here with you"

He smiled a little "I'm gonna try to not look at it and follow the tracks the team left, okay?" and continued following.

The team has set up camp again, this time in an old forest, the trees where far apart from one another, allowing the vehicles to be carefully driven through and giving plenty of space for the tents to be set up, however the trees where close enough, especially at the treeline, to slow any large dinosaurs.

Jake and Gena where nearing the forest and Jake started to slow down. "Whats wrong sweetie?" Gena asked.

He replied "You remember the... uh.. The Sinornithosaurus?" Gena nodded and he continued "they where venomous and this is exactly the kind of place they would like... I hate to think of it, but do you think there might be a chance they survived the flood?"

Gena thought for a moment "Hopefully not... But, you know what I remember about them?... They can't bite very hard, we should cover up and put on our spare clothes to cover up even more"

"Brilliant idea babe"

Finally, camp was set up and everyone was settling down to relax, and as everyone started to quiet down, they started to notice strange birds in the trees. They where darkly colored, almost black and slowly growing closer.

They came to the forest floor and everyone realized they where not normal birds. "Does anyone recognize them?"

There was a pause before a reply "Microraptor and Archeopteryx I believe"

"Can you tell the difference?"

"the ones that glide more they look like they have four wings, those are Microraptor and the others that flap, flutter and fly are Archeopteryx"

The little dinosaurs glide and fly down to the tracks the team left, searching for bugs and grubs that where knocked from the ground and trees by the team heading through.

Suddenly from up in the trees a Microraptor squawked loudly and started climbing through the trees frantically, soon coming to a spot where it could glide away. It's gliding was slow and not powered by any flapping, and it looked like it was exhausted after whatever just happened. The Microraptor almost crashed into a tree next to camp and was forced to land in it, where it tried to catch its breath and calm down.

The team watch the little Microraptor curiously and worried, it was slowly growing drowsy and losing its grip on the tree... Soon enough, it fell down.

Jayden tried to run over to help, but Matt saw a shape in the trees and he grabbed her "Wait" he said.

A larger dinosaur glided down from to the trees, landing a few feet away from the downed Microraptor, it closed in slowly, it knew it wasn't going anywhere. The larger dinosaur waited, no longer using its brown feathers to hide, it didn't care if it was seen as the Microraptor could only barely look at it.

"What is it?" Jayden asked.

Matt reluctantly replied "Sinornithosaurus" and paused before continuing "I also remember these from the park... But I don't remember much about them, they had... Plexiglas on the side of the enclosure that faced the path... I guess they where a little bitey"

The Microraptor's head dropped and the Sinornithosaurus pounced, finishing it off.

Night fell and the team settled down to sleep, getting the first night watch all ready before heading to their tents. Only a few minutes into the shift, one of the gliding dinosaurs moved into camp, looking around curiously. The night watch got up and walked towards it, waving his arms a little to scare it. The little camouflage dinosaur hopped to the side and tilted its head.

The night watch chuckled "okay buddy you gotta get out of he-" he was cut off, there was suddenly a weight on his back and a number of scratches, before he felt what was like several dozen small knifes clamped into his shoulder. He jumped with a yelp and tried to reach back around for his unseen attacker.

Woken by the sound, Matt rushed out of the tent and seeing what was happening, pulled the dinosaur off the mans back before throwing it and watching it glide away.

Everyone was awake now and frantically trying to help however they could. "Its just a little bite" Matt told him "we will clean it up and you'll be fine"

The watch smiled "thats good, but i feel a little... light headed"

Matt looked at him confused "oh, thats strange, you hardly lost any blood, like your clothes is hardly even stained"

"I can tell you why" Jake said as he crashed through the trees "That was a Sinornithosaurus and they are venomous"

"Dad!?" Matt questioned as he saw his dad wearing more clothes than he does in winter and setting up his tent already. "I mean... how bad?"

"Not that bad on something our size, hes gonna be pretty drowsy, but he'll sleep it off..."

"Nothing we can do to help?" Jayden asked.

Jake shook his head "when we had the park open, we researched it in case anyone was bitten, but never found anything helpful, just lots of rest, so we'll have to stay here tomorrow"

Gena looked at her son "Matt, we'll talk to you in the morning, but right now, we are going to bed"
