Jaybird, P8 - Final
Jaybird is a short crime/drama themed story about two wolves in a dirty world.
This story is heavily based off a roleplay between myself and a friend.
With his permission I was allowed to use the roleplay material as a basis to practice writing further, as it is a hobby I intend to try and maintain moving forward.
Please enjoy!
Jay was first up, finding himself laying over Anderrick’s chest, with one big arm over him. Slowly the small male wormed his way out of bed, managing not to wake the other.
As Jay stood, he realized his ass was a bit sore, wincing as he put a paw over his rump with a light pat. “...nnhh… big wolf.” He quietly commented, glancing back over the sleeping hunk.
Jay then worked his way through the mansion, getting lost a couple times as he tries to find his way out. Though he gets spotted by a familiar, excited voice. “Jay!”
Huey, the hyena from the party the other night was lightly jogging over before giving a playful, although soft tackle that sends Jay back a few steps. “Dude! You’re back, I thought I wouldn’t see you around again.”
“Ha, yeah uh… I think we might be here for a bit.”
“Awesome! Awesome… We’ll have to catch up sometime, you missed out the other night man, that stripper was just…” Huey bares his teeth and hissed through them as he gropes his own groin.
“Oh, hehe. Sure I guess?”
“Yeah, anyway…”
“Hey, Huey can you tell Mr. Vower I’m stepping out? I just want to go out to town for a quick errand.”
“Huh? Yeah, sure, whatever. I got you.” Huey pats Jay on the shoulder, before helping the guy find his way out of the mansion. Jay was provided with his car by the valet promptly and with a quick search on his phone of the nearby area to figure out where he’s going, the wolf set off.
Anderrick slowly woke and looks around the room, rubbing an eye. “Best damn sleep I’ve had in ages… Where are you, pup?” He mumbled groggily.
There were few cars on the roads out here, it wasn’t busy like it was in the city. Everyone was rather relaxed driving too, no urgency or horns sounding every five minutes. Jay manages to find a small shopping plaza that seems to have a lot of people buzzing around, this might be a good place… He hoped to find a small gift; nothing excessive, just something to surprise Anderrick with.
Jay drove around the block to find some parking, ending up in a quiet spot.
Key turns, pulls out and Jay steps out of his car.
Within seconds the maned wolf was smashed over his head by something thick, and scooped off his feet.
“Nngh…” He grumbled, a throbbing sore on his head and blood trickling from a split in his ear. Jay’s eyes winced while a bright light shines over him. Hands are tied behind his back roughly, he could barely feel his fingers as blood struggled to reach them.
“You’re finally awake.”
Jay’s ears twitched, that voice sent a tremble through his body. He tried to look around the room but that bright light didn’t allow his eyes to adjust enough to see past it. From under the light a round face emerges, grinning menacingly.
Bucher...
“You are just a dumb little faggot, can’t even shoot straight!” He teased, before swiping a paw across Jay’s face. It tore fur and lacerated flesh. Jay whined out helplessly.
“Shit, I had to wait a while, but like the empty-headed cunt you are - you just walked out of that place all on your own. I couldn’t believe it when they called me, and told me. I nearly creamed my pants!” He cackled, then looked over Jay as the boy started to cry, tears running down and mixing with the blood that dripped from his cheek, and ear.
“Little fucking baby.” Bucher said, before walking out of the light. Jay can hear his voice echo through the void. “Go on, cry! No one’s going to hear you, and once I’m done with you no one will ever find you, hahahahaha!”
Hours passed, Anderrick was pacing around the mansion, he asked guards, other guests, even Mr. Vower if they’d seen Jay. Finally it was when he found Huey parading around that he got a clue, however the lack of information disappointed him severely.
“Out? He was going out? That’s all you got, you fucking stoned little…” Anderrick’s paws clenched into fists and he refrained from proceeding with that line.
“I-I’m sorry dude! Maybe he bounced? This place ain’t for everyone.” Huey said rather confidently, and while Anderrick absorbed those words, the young hyena slipped away casually.
“This place isn’t for everyone… perhaps it was a mistake to have brought Jay here. He’s not responding to texts, not answering his phone... he’s bailed...” ...were the thoughts spiralling around the wolf’s head.
The next day, Mr. Vower finds Anderrick in his assigned guest room, just sitting on a recliner staring at the ceiling. “I have a small job for you, and your driver.”
Anderrick slowly sat up, without making eye contact with Mr. Vower. “No driver.”
“Oh, shame. Shall we, then?” Mr. Vower gestured out of the room to lead Anderrick along for a quick debriefing.
