Recovery Center
A friend of mine wrote some stuff.
A gentle bell resounded through the courtyard as a friendly voice beckoned others over. "Hello! Are you interested in donating to the Recovery center? We help those who get sick feel better! Anything is appreciated!" A small doe smiled gratefully as a couple fished through their purse and wallet to spare a few dollars to the cause. As she placed the money into the bin, she couldn't help but smile. With all the scammers in the world, she was delighted that her true cause could be shown. She waved at a small group that was walking by, and the beagle among them tugged on the sleeves of his friends.
"Hello there sirs! My name is Gaia, and I'm working towards earning funds for the Recovery center! Would you like to donate?" The beagle smiled and nodded eagerly, while the two felines at his side narrowed their eyes. "I don't know, miss. I know plenty of furs who would steal all of this for themselves. Have any proof of donation?" The doe perked up, then nodded to the cheetah who has questioned her. "Oh, yes! All of you three, right this way!" She led them to a small building that the foundation had set up, opening the door with her hoof-paws. She thanked evolution for giving her kind workable digits, then nudged the trio in. "This is our headquarters for this area. Here, we keep record of our donations, and give them to the foundation! Er, well, I do. I'm the only one stationed here for now, heh..."
The beagle wagged his tail a bit. "Oh! Well, my name is Pipp, and I'd love to help out! Here, I have a bit of money I can give. Onyx, Tveren, you guys have some too, don't you?" He made his classic puppy eyes, and the cats sighed, fishing through their bags to give some money. Gaia tapped her foot for a moment, then stuttered out. "W-well, if you three don't mind, you can volunteer here with me? I really need more helpers to sort out and collect the donations." The trio shook their heads no sadly. "Sorry miss Gaia, but we're a bit young for that. Plus, we have studying to do, and all that fun stuff." Onyx shrugged remorsefully, but Gaia pat them on the back.
"No worries you three! I can certainly accommodate, but... you three really want to help, right? There is a desire to help out this charity, correct?" Gaia stepped towards the door, locking it without the others noticing. Pipp nodded slowly, "Yes, but as we said, we really need to-" They were cut off by Gaia gently patting his head. Before he could ask what she was doing, the doe continued. "Now now. You wouldn't turn down charity, would you? You wouldn't. You really need to help me, just for a while, and longer if you wish." She moved over to the other two cats, who had backed away, and pet their heads as well. She knew magic like this was technically a dark art, but... what was the harm if she used it for good?
"That's good, you three. Just relax. Listen to my words, and hold them as truth. You want to help here. You'll help so many people! It won't be forever, just for a while until I get more volunteers. But until then, this will be your only wish. Isn't that right?"
The three mumbled lightly, eyes glazing over, and they fell onto their knees one by one. Despite a slight resistance, their minds had soon melted to the alluring words of the doe. "We... we can help! We'll help out!" She got them some representative T-shirts identical to the one she wore. "Now, put these on, and you'll be locked, only wanting to help. That's your wish; to help others. Isn't that wonderful?" As the young furs did as they were commanded, she collected the buckets. "Good you three! Ask others for donations, but don't be annoying; just help and be charitable. Got it?" They all nodded, and she unlocked the door, sending the bright eyed students away to gather donations before following them out into the sunlight herself.
