Crafty Heart's Lucky 13

Chapter 1: A Merging of Three Worlds

Crafty Heart Coyote trudged through the snowstorm, seeing nothing but white all around her. Between her winter coat coming in and her limited skills in cryokinetics she didn't feel the cold too badly, if anything the obstructed vision was more of a problem.

Things seemed to be going so well recently...

She had grown up in an abusive household as a human named Samantha. Her parents never hit her but they were religious zealots who tried to force her into a form she never wanted. A chance encounter with a group of Care Bears called Magi who showed her a path to freedom. On the night she was to be shipped off to a convent she used a special magic gem to transform herself into a Care Bear herself, or rather a Care Coyote. Now she was bright green wolf, taller, stronger and curvier than she had been before and with a symbol on her chest of an incomplete heart shaped puzzle and one other feature: she had six breasts.

She had always been twiggy and flat chested despite being 18, her transformation into Crafty Heart Coyote had apparently dug into her deepest desires and given her the exact body she wanted and then some. She had DD breasts instead of the not even A-cups she had before, but more than that she had two more pairs right below them, a pair of Ds and a pair of Cs. Suffice to say it was awkward to walk at first with her altered center of gravity but she adjusted quickly.

Unfortunately, she had slipped up. Her father had been put on trial for aggravated assault against one of her Care Bear Magi friends and she had attended the trial just to see him get her just desserts, but her former sister Emily heard her and recognized her voice and even as he ex-father was hauled off to jail her ex-mother had found out and flipped her shit about not only her being a wolf but now being so heavily sexualized. Crafty didn't want any trouble for her friends so before anything could be done (and because she knew recognizing a voice would never stick as evidence) she fled the town without telling anyone where she was going, travelling north.

Winter weather had struck her sooner than she was prepared for and while she had been getting by on foraging for the last few days she was getting hungry. Water wasn't an issue as she had learned to create safe drinking water through her magic without any real limit.

Crafty blinked. Was that something in the snow up ahead? She could swear she saw something bright pink lying ahead in the snow. Crafty picked up her pace, the thin shorts and t-shirt she wore clinging to her body.

She stopped when she reached the form. It was a Care Bear! Or at least looked like one. A male pink bear lying almost face down in the snow, wearing a tuxedo patterned speedo and bunny ears. He wasn't moving.

"Oh crap no," Crafty knelt down and touched the bear. He was cold to the touch but somehow still alive. "What do I do?" She wanted to help, but what could she do? She wasn't a medic and couldn't use healing magic.

The sound of an owl hooting drew her attention and she looked up to see what looked like a shimmering white owl circling overheard. Crafty did her best to shield the dying bear's body, "You're not going to eat him!" She shouted up at the owl. The owl seemed to hear her and flew off. Crafty sighed thankfully and stood up.

A female voice called out to her, "Hello? Are you alright?"

Crafty turned to see a form approaching through the snowstorm. At first just an indistinct blob, "I'm over here!" Crafty waved her over.

The form sped up and as it got closer she was able to distinguish it: another Care Animal, this time a grey wolf with the owl riding on her shoulder. "Hello? Florence said she found lost travellers, on my goodness!" The wolf exclaimed as she ran over to the bear. "What happened to him?"

"I don't know, I just found him," Crafty said.

"Oh my, can you help me move him?" The wolf didn't seem to register anything about Crafty Heart yet.

Crafty didn't have time to worry about this as she helped grab the bear's legs and the wolf took his arms.

The trek took some time but they finally arrived at the wolf's home: what looked like a log cabin. The wolf pushed the door open and once they had the bear inside she shut it behind her as the owl flew to sit on a perch by the cabin's only window. Crafty instinctively moved the bear over to the only bed in the cabin and lay him down and the wolf immediately went to examine him.

"He has hypothermia. We need to warm him up." She took a deep breath. "Get undressed, the safest thing to do is lie with him and let our body heart warm him up.

Crafty didn't need to be told twice as she stripped off her soaked t-shirt and shorts as the wolf climbed in behind the bear, not even taking notice of Crafty's unique features before she climbed in and held herself up against the bear's body. The owl flew over and pulled a blanket up over the three anthros.

It took a little bit for the bear to regain himself and wake up, minutes felt like hours with the fact that the life of a fellow anthro was in their hands. The pink bear had very blurry vision, but he could tell three things. 1. He wasn't in sex slave prison, 2. He was in pain which felt like it spread everywhere and 3. There were two random female anthro's cuddling him for no reason. He had so much to process, the only words that could come out of his mouth in a soft meek tone were. "What the hell"

"Good, you're awake," Crafty looked the pink bear in the eyes.

"Can you hear us?" The wolf asked, but didn't move from where she was.

The pink bear nodded his head then winced in pain. "I have so many questions right now. But most importantly: why do I feel like I have been thrown into the hell fire?" He winced again, and made a loud screeching noise while doing so. He looked into Crafty Heart's eyes. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your ears."

"It's alright," Crafty said.

The wolf answered his questions, "You have hypothermia, from lying in the snow in the cold. We're helping warm you up carefully. Just lie still."

"What's your name?" Crafty asked.

"I actually have two names," the pink bear said as he followed the wolf's directions. "If you use outsider names, it's Frankie, Frankie Juniper. If you use Porterhouse names, It's Flamboyant heart bear. But my friends call me Flambo."

"Porterhouse? Outsider?" the wolf sounded confused.

"Well my name is Crafty Heart Coyote, what about you, wolf girl?" Crafty tried to look over Flamboyant Heart's shoulder, but couldn't see her very well.

"Oh well..." The wolf hesitated, a hoot from her owl seemed to convince her to speak, "I'm just called The Hidden."

Crafty grinned, "So how about Hidden Heart Wolf?"

"I apologize for putting you ladies in an uncomfortable situation" the bear said shamefully. "But I'm more than a little thankful that I was found."

"Just lie still until the burning goes away then I'll do more," Hidden Heart said.

"So who's the owl?" Crafty asked.

"That's Florence. She's my spirit animal," Hidden Heart said.

"Spirit animal" Flamboyant heart sounded confused. "It almost sounds like we come from two different worlds. But hey, I guess those books Quirky showed me weren't wrong, magic is real."

"Make that three, unless Kinetics are a thing for both of you," Crafty chuckled.

"I don't know what those are either. But let's not get overwhelmed. My head's starting to spin," Hidden kept her arms wrapped around Flamboyant Heart though she wanted to hold her head.

Flamboyant heart started feeling oddly comfy, despite the fact that this situation was still beyond a little crazy. "Crafty, remind me to be a little more conventional next time i want to make friends" he joked.

"Don't think we have many options," Crafty sighed.

It was a couple hours before Flamboyant Heart Bear felt warm enough to let them out. Crafty easily slid out of the bed, "Ahh, much better. I'm happy to help but man I need to stretch. She opened her mouth wide as she yawned and stretched upwards then heard a little "eep!" from Hidden Heart and turned to face the two as Hidden got out of bed.

"What?" Crafty raised an eyebrow.

Flamboyant heart, who also could see Crafty, felt his jaw drop as he got a full view of Crafty for the very first. "Um... I have a question I really want to ask right now, but I'm not sure it's exactly the most appropriate thing to ask someone about."

Hidden Heart's face was beet red and she could only make a little whimpering noise.

Crafty Heart looked down then laughed, "Let me guess, 'why do I have six tits?' or was it the tattoo in my top cleavage," Crafty folded her arms as best she could, resting them on the second pair and slightly boosting up the top pair.

Flamboyant heart blushed, he couldn't believe he had to ask this. "Um, both... Hidden Heart, am I dead or dreaming? Because last time I checked you can't get hardcore drugs in the middle of nowhere after being out for god knows how long."

"I umm..." Hidden Heart took a deep breath, "I know we're alive, this is real."

Crafty laughed, "It's real alright. The symbol is part of being a Care Bear, at least as far as I know, I know how to use it a bit but not much yet as for the breasts." Crafty grabbed her top pair and squeezed them, "Bit of a long story but I'll make it short: I used to be a human and I had an abusive family. I made a wish to be a Care Bear after meeting some others and it came true, seems like my wish made me as hot as I Wanted to be, I wasn't expecting this kind of six pack but I'm not complaining, at least not now that I can balance again," she was still grinning as she swayed side-to-side, arms behind her head.

"Well my story is a long one of pretty much nothing but agony. So why don't we hear what Hidden heart has been through." Flamboyant heart said sadly. "Judging by the situation, you're the owner of the place we are currently sheltered."

"I am," Hidden Heart moved away from Crafty to check the house. "It's not much but it's my house. As for my story, I grew up in an orphanage where I was teased by the other children. One night I heard a voice calling me outside so I snuck out and that's when I met Florence," she turned to owl and held out her arm so the white bird could perch on her arm, somehow without hurting her. "She told me she was a spirit animal and she could show me how to use magic. So I followed her. I've been alone for over ten years and I found this cabin left for me by whoever sent Florence to find me. I've been here learning magic ever since and I occasionally help lost travelers or scaring off poachers, which is when they started talking about 'the legends of the hidden'. I used to have a human name but I forgot what it was."

"Ok, prepare to be depressed, because my story is pretty messed up." Flamboyant heart sighed. "I lived in this secret anthro town called Porterhouse, when I was six my dad kicked me out of the house and sent me to an all boys boarding school. I got bullied there pretty bad, so I escaped at twelve and went the only place I could, the slums, and I was homeless for about 6 years. I was in need of some money, and I got offered a job at a strip club. It turned out to be a giant scam and I was sold into sex trafficking. Only like maybe a day ago I escaped on a snowmobile, but it broke down. I walked a bit and I guess that's how I ended up on your doorstep."

Crafty just stared at the pink bear, aghast, "That's just fucked right up, I can sympathise. My parents tried to send me to a convent right before I escaped them."

"Oh my!" Hidden Heart was at Flambo's side in an instant, "Were you ever forced to have sex or did you escape before that? Wait, how long were you enslaved?"

Flamboyant heart sighed, "The answer to question one is yes, i was forced to... have sex. The answer to question two, I'm not sure if this is entirely accurate, but about three months."

"Just let me check something." Hidden Heart chanted some words as white energy swept over Flamboyant, "Oh my! Just a moment," She spoke more strange words as her hair began to sparkle and green energy swept over Flamboyant Heart. He felt a sudden burning that was replaced by soothing feeling. "There, that's done."

"Hey, I hope you don't mind if I ask, but what did that magic do to me. Don't get me wrong I trust you, I'm just curious" Flamboyant Heart asked.

"I just checked you for disease and found something you must have picked up, then cured it. It wasn't very advanced but you should be fine now." Hidden Heart said.

Flamboyant heart gasped, but then gave a sigh of relief. "Well thank goodness, I was worried I would have caught something while I was in there grasp. Thank you Hidden. It's like that book I read that one time, I heard that magic however cannot heal cancer because of it's use of cells." Flamboyant heart chuckled, "When your homeless, you can't help but love the public library of Porterhouse, no late fees. no money needed, just a good place to rent books. Hey, you want to hear about my friend Quirky heart Tanooki, if I'm being too talkative, feel free to let me know and I will keep quiet."

Hidden Heart sat down on a chair, "Don't worry, I haven't had a conversation with anyone other than Florence in years."

"How can you talk to her? She just hoots." Crafty's voice caused Florence the white owl to hoot indignantly.

"I can understand anything she says, it's part of the bond we share," Hidden turned from Crafty to Flambo, still blushing, "But tell me about Quirky? Are they a man or a woman?"

Flamboyant heart giggled, "Quirky is a woman, she was a friend of mine that I spent my time with during my homeless years. She is a very strong willed person and she is very skilled when it comes to the homeless area of Porterhouse and that's impressive because a good percentage of Porterhouse is homeless." Flamboyant said happily remembering his friend. "But she is totally not the woman or man I would want to go out with... Quirky has an alcohol problem, I will just leave it at that. But I still want to get in touch with her again to see how she is doing. I miss her, and she really doesn't know what happened to me," He said in a somber tone.

"We can worry about that later, for now just rest and I'll make something for everyone to eat," Hidden turned and walked to a wood-burning stove set into one of the walls.

Crafty took the moment to observe the cabin. It wasn't that big and didn't have separate rooms. The wood-burning stove was next to some sort of pantry and wooden counter. There was a small table in the middle of the house with three wooden chairs surrounding it (the fourth having been pulled closer to the bed where Hidden had been sitting), and a small bookcase that only had five books on it. A little more searching revealed a bathroom area, with what looked like a wooden seated toilet and a bathtub with a curtain, but no taps or plumbing, just a washing basin; all of it was just around a corner where one couldn't see into it from the rest of the cabin, but there was no closing door to block it off.

"Where do you get your water?" Crafty asked.

Hidden looked up from some dried meat she had taken from the pantry, "Oh... there's a well nearby and I can boil snow but when there's more urgent need I can just conjure clean water magically."

"What about the toilet? Where does all the waste go?" Crafty pressed.

Hidden blushed, "Well... it's deep enough to last a few weeks and use magic to clean it once a week just in case. I also learned a spell to block the odor from seeping back up into the house."

Flamboyant heart still being able to hear the conversation between to the two women, joins in the conversation. "I must admit, getting to see a magical anthro up close is amazing. Hmmm, I wonder if I could learn some sort of magic one day"

"I can try to teach you, but recover first," Hidden went back to her cooking.

"I can do some magic too, mostly kinetics," Crafty sat down next to the bed, which was the only bed in the cabin, "Here." She held up her hand as a shimmering field of frost appeared above it.

"Sorry Hidden, I'm not trying to stress you out. I was just in sex trafficking for quite a long time, now that I am free, the possibilities seem endless... After I get better of course." Flamboyant looks at the field of frost in pure awe. "Wow, seeing magic this close up is incredible. Do they have other types of kinetics? Plant kinetics would be awesome."

Crafty let the frost disperse, "I think so... I never learned much beyond this so not sure what I could teach you."

Hidden Heart spoke up, "Tomorrow we'll look into what kind of magic you can learn. There's a lot to consider too."

"Oh thank you so much you two. I'm a hard worker, I can assure you if you teach me, I won't take it lightly." Flamboyant heart perked up.

Hidden finished a few minutes later and brought the beef and vegetable soup to Flambo, "You don't have to tell us you're a hard worker, it's up to you what to do. For now, eat."

"Thank you so much Hidden heart. You're so sweet." He said as he started eating the soup. "This is seriously good stuff Hidden, and I'm not just saying that to be nice. The ratio of veggies to meat combined with the specific veggies you chose, make for an impressive soup" Flambo gave Hidden a warm and genuine smile. "I hope, one day, I can do something to help you."

"Thank you," Hidden returned and served up two more bowls for herself and Crafty, which they ate at the table.

Crafty drank the last of the broth then looked at Hidden, who was still eating, "So, how's the sleeping arrangement going to go?"

Hidden put her spoon down, "Well... I have a spare blanket I can sleep on the floor on. I suppose you can sleep in the same bed as Flamboyant... unless he doesn't want that..."

"I'm ok with whatever makes Crafty most comfortable. If she can't take the floor and wants to be in bed with me, that's ok. If she doesn't want to sleep with another person and wants to sleep on the floor, that's ok as well." Flamboyant heart said showing that he was very flexible.

"I can sleep with you," Crafty left her dishes on the table, "watch this," she walked over to the basin in the kitchen area and conjured water into her hands to wash them off. "I can make water too." She walked over to Flamboyant's bed, "So Flambo, do you feel alright sleeping with someone as sexy as me?" he voice wasn't sensual but worried, "Or does this bring up... bad memories?"

"No, not at all. If I'm being honest, sleeping with someone else makes me feel safe." He said blushing with some embarrassment. "So your fine, go ahead."

Crafty carefully climbed in next to him, "Alright. Good night then." She yawned as she lay under the covers. Hidden Heart cleaned up the dishes and pulled out her spare blanket, which she lay on the ground and curled up on, not even bothering to cover herself up.

"Goodnight Crafty, I hope you have sweet dreams." He said as he also yawned.
