"Touch down will commence in twenty seconds," the electronic voice chirped over the intercom, as well as inside the helmets of the four that rode inside the landing capsule. "Please remain seated and strapped into your landing seats until the gyrostabilizers have finished their leveling calibrations."

While the other three nodded one of them, a draconic scientist named Fangor, was hardly paying attention as he looked outside the tiny viewing window of their capsule. With the shuttle having just broken through the thick cloud cover that was over the entire planet he could see what had been waiting for them; the ruins of an ancient civilization that were covered by a thick white blanket of snow and dust. A few seconds later though the scenery disappeared as a huge cloud of the stuff was kicked up into the air from the landing thrusters of their craft. Fangor immediately went back to looking in the middle of the capsule with the others as they got their helmets on and prepared to step foot on an alien planet for the first time.

The first out was Grunt; the huge bear was the team's security liaison and insisted on making sure that he left first so he could sweep the area for possible threats that might reside on the dead planet. Once he made sure that there was nothing that he could neither see nor pick up on his scans he slowly motioned for the others to get out as well. The fox that came next was Finn, the vulpine bouncing slightly before he realized that the gravity here was just like his home planet and grinned sheepishly as Fangor followed behind. Last out of the pod before it sealed itself back up in anticipation for their return was Anders, the Falcon looking around with the other three as they made sure their communications were still strong now that they were out on the planet surface.

"Where do we even start with a place like this," Finn said as he scanned the ruins that spread out before them. "An entire civilization buried in radioactive dirt and snow... makes you wonder what happened here."

"That's what we're here to find out," Anders said with a slight scoff as he looked at his radar. "If our surface scans were correct there should be a large entrance to the catacombs that run beneath this city. Once we get somewhere out of this eternal snowstorm we can set things up and start branching out from there."

The other three nodded and once more Grunt took point as they made their way through the knee-high piles of ash in order to reach their destination. Even though they were specifically protected from the harsh radioactive materials Fangor could swear that he felt his lower legs tingling as they made their way from the pod and the safe landing zone towards their destination. He knew if he had his radiation detectors on they would be through the roof at the moment and can't imagine what the decontamination procedure is going to be like when they get back to their ship. Thankfully their trip through the nuclear winter was short lived as they got to the large steel door that separated them from the catacombs, and then waited for Finn as he plugged his neural interface into the door mechanism.

It didn't take long for the fox to crack the lock, thanks to him being able to alter the alien language at the speed of thought, as the rest watched the metal start to retract. For a few seconds the four feared that the potentially ancient mechanism was about to jam as they heard a loud screeching and grinding noise, but that soon passed and it finally raised up enough for them to be let inside. They all quickly walked in, partially from being eager to see what was next and mostly because the door only remained completely open for a few seconds before it began to close behind them. Finn assured them that this was a part of the program for the front entrance, but that confidence wavered slightly when they were completely sealed into the small room while the steel door on the other side failed to open.

The four began to look at one another nervously as they could hear more machinery moving through the walls, something happening that they couldn't see to understand. Just as Grunt was about to take his gun and blast the door open Finn quickly took a hand and lowered it, shaking his head and pointing at the ceiling. Just as the bear did so a purple mist sprayed out of tiny holes in the roof of the small room, filling the entire chamber with it for half a minute before it was suctioned out. When the last of it was gone the second door opened to allow them to access the underground remnants of the alien civilization.

"This must have been one of their last beacons of hope," Anders said as he took a quick scan of the area. "Radiation levels are within safe levels here, no doubt thanks to whatever compound we were just coated with. Whatever happened to their planet they must have tried to use this area in order to prevent themselves from going extinct."

"For all the good that it did them," Finn muttered under his breath as he looked around with his flashlight. "Place looks like it's gone a few centuries without a good dusting... whatever magic bullet they were trying to find they obviously never got it. I guess now the only thing we need to figure out is where to set up base camp, either here or further down into this compound so that we don't get as much radiation damage every time we need to go outside this place."

The four quickly made up their minds to go a little deeper and eventually they found what appeared to be a main lobby that looked good for them to set up some of their stuff. Even though the air was clean enough for them to breathe, the life support system one of the few things still running in this compound, none of them dared take off their helmets. There were always potential things that could lurk in the air that their scanners couldn't pick up on, anything from potentially deadly alien chemicals to unidentifiable bacteria. Once they had established a post they could set up a heavy-duty scanner to see if they could potentially see this area as a long-term base of operations.

"Huh," Fangor said as the scientist looked at his suit diagnostics. "The air here is electrified... my suit is fully charged without even needing to head back up to the ship."

"Well that's nice of this place," Anders said as he set up the survey beacon that would map the area. "Maybe if we're lucky we can save ourselves some fuel with the generators if we can harness this field. For now though let's just get everything set up, we're going to have to report in an hour so they know that we didn't roast in all this radiation."

The others nodded and continued their set-up, the four making sure their various instruments were ready to go. Fangor was the first to finish, and while the others were continuing their calibrations the dragon decided to check out a lead for their potential power source that Anders had picked up on. Normally they wouldn't split up from one another but the room was only two corridors away, enough that he could probably shout and they would hear him. It didn't stop him from feeling quite alone as he went into the next room, especially when the door closed behind him.

"Can you guys still hear me?" Fangor said into his radio.

"Confirmed," Finn replied over the radio. "Signal is still coming in strong, if you need emergency assistance don't hesitate to press the panic button."

The dragon just said alright and looked around the new area he was in. Though there was power running through the area it appeared that the only thing that it was being used for was a single terminal in the center of the room. This appeared to be some sort of control area, perhaps for the facility itself or maybe for whatever they were working on. Fangor turned the light on his helmet and continued to look around, seeing the signs of battle around the area. It soon became clear why there were no lights or other terminals working; this was the only one that had escaped the destruction of whatever happened here.

Fangor sighed and looked over the still intact piece of technology, looking over the screen. There were a few lines of alien text that flashed in the display but that was about it, luckily their neural interface could decipher it and gain access to the database that hopefully was still intact. With Finn having already translated part of the language in order to deal with the lock, which he shared with them when they resynchronized, it would make cracking this latest round of alien text far easier. He plugged in his neural interface and when he opened his eyes again he could see the text hovering in front of him as the information was fed directly into his brain.

It didn't take long for the draconic scientist to crack through the encryption that was present in the computer and get inside. Once he had translated the language he found the true nature of the facility and their speculations hadn't been too far off. The native race of this population had been devastated by a nuclear war that caused most of their population to die out, this bunker was one of the last vestiges and worked so that they could continue to live on despite their annihilated world. Unfortunately for some the war that had caused everything in the first place continued to fight, raiding this site just as they were getting close to accomplishing their goal.

"Amazing..." Fangor whispered to himself as he continued to scan through the documents he was able to access, absorbing the information with lightning speed while schematics and other such data. "They were going to turn themselves into androids... and it looks like they should have been able to succeed before the raid happened. Why didn't they do it then?"

The question he asked himself was answered when he got to the video logs of their first experiments, which turned out to be resounding failures. With their supplies running low they went straight to testing with their own kind, but every time the androids that they created would only last for a few minutes before they died. After nearly a dozen failures they realized that their organic brains couldn't handle all the complex processes that went into controlling a mechanical body, something as simple as a random error causing their vital systems to shut down. So they went into a completely different development, the production of an Artificial Intelligence that would control all the mechanical components while the organic brain would take care of the higher functions. Strange... Fangor thought to himself as he looked into the storage sectors that contained the AI, it looked like they had completed it a while ago but from the records they never used it.

"Warning," the word suddenly flashed in Fangor's mind that caused him to gasp slightly. "Data intrusion breach detected, firewall corrupted."

Fangor was so shocked by the sudden message that it froze him slightly as he saw the data shield that contained the AI program shatter and an upload bar suddenly appeared. This was impossible, the dragon thought as he threw up his security countermeasures, he hadn't even accessed the program and somehow the AI had managed to hack into his neural interface anyway! Everything he had to defend himself against such a threat was quickly neutralized, the upload bar continuing to move towards the other end. When the last of his defenses were crushed there was only one thing that he could do... and though it would risk potential feedback that could cause trauma to his brain he had to disconnect before this alien AI took any more root in his synapses. As the progress bar was about to reach the half-way point Fangor closed his eyes and whispered a silent prayer before he ripped the connection out of the console.

The blowback from the sudden disconnection nearly knocked the dragon off his feet as he stumbled backwards, his brain feeling like it was burning. To his surprise the pain was lighter than he had imagined, though he still got a throbbing headache as his vision blurred. He thought for a minute that he might have to hit the SOS button and bring in the others, but as he sat in one of the chairs he found himself able to regain his composure. The disconnection from the neural interface had thrown him for a loop for sure but it appeared that he got out of it alright, though he would have to likely go into diagnostics to check for damage to his neural interface...

"No need to check for that," a voice in his head suddenly said, causing Fangor to jump up and spin around.

"No!" Fangor said as his vision suddenly became filled with alien data that he hadn't even seen before. "I disconnected! The AI can't still be here!"

"Did you honestly believe all that garbage that I showed you?" the voice mocked as Fangor clutched his head, the AI's programming continuing to infest his mind, seeing the progress bar suddenly appear where he stopped it before it suddenly filled up the rest of the way. "I had uploaded myself into your head when you first got close to where they had imprisoned me, I just needed to distract you while I got myself acclimated. Now I'm finally free..."

It took Fangor a few seconds before he could finally regain his senses, but when he did he realized that wasn't a good thing. Having assimilated the data from the console he knew that meant the AI was already merging with him, his synapses becoming integrated with the computer program that had hijacked its way into his body. "Why... uh..." Fangor asked, attempting to figure out what to do while at the same time distracting the AI enough so he could hit the panic button. "Why were you imprisoned?"

"Because we knew the truth," the voice replied as Fangor's fingers slowly made their way to the SOS button. "The ones before you knew it too, but they didn't have the fortitude to follow through with it. Had they just listened to us then they would have continued to live on... but they were organic, and organic is weak."

Organic is weak... the words seemed to resonate through the dragon's head as he could feel the presence of the alien intellect seep deeper into his mind. Fangor tried to shake his head but the words remained, and the worst part was that he knew that the AI was using his own thoughts against him. He had always been a huge fan of technology, everything from the suits that they used to the neural interface had been a godsend on the pursuit of knowledge. Now that was being used against him and he realized what the AI was offering as the schematics data he had downloaded were once more being shown to him...

But Fangor wasn't going down without a fight and his fingers quivered as they pressed the SOS button, hoping that if his friends could subdue him they could bring him back up to the ship and somehow purge the AI from his system. As the seconds passed and there was no response the dragon felt his heart sink into his feet, especially when he heard the voice of the AI chuckle. "Did you honestly not think that we would overlook a distress signal?" it said. "We have control of your neural interface and knew about it the second that you thought about it, and once we knew where it was it was fairly easy to disable."

"You haven't won yet," Fangor growled as he smacked himself in the forehead, trying to stumble forward towards the exit only to find his vision go blurry and his legs become weak as he stumbled into another console.

"You mean we haven't won yet," the voice replied, though the electronic tone was altered slightly as a new vision appeared in front of him.

Fangor knew that it was a trick of the AI, but the fact that he saw himself standing there with glowing green eyes made it no less realistic to him. "You know you want this," the hologram of Fangor said to himself. "Look at you, already playing pretend with that suit of yours in order to make yourselves able to habituate and explore worlds that you could normally only dream of setting foot on. But you're still limited... limited by those organic processes that you so foolishly cling too."

The last of the declarations by the doppelganger had that unnatural tone to it and it allowed Fangor to shake off the illusionary figure. He pulled back from the creature when he realized that he had been reaching out to it, pulling himself back as the hologram laughed once more. Even though Fangor knew that the AI program was attempting to confuse and distract him, buying time to continue to corrupt his organic processes, the dragon also knew that the AI was winning. Every second that he spent there not calling for help, not trying to resist what it was saying was only serving to take another step further to turning him... into them... even as he thought that the hologram seemed to go more solid as the AI's foothold in his mind grew.

"You have quite the strong will," the AI said, continuing to use his own voice as the draconic hologram stepped closer. "That's good, it will be needed for your new body. What I'm offering you is the chance to upgrade, that way you don't die immediately when something like... this happens."

Fangor gasped in shock when the other version of himself reached forward and used its claws to slash into his suit, ripping a huge hole in it as his hands darted down to try and cover the tear. Almost immediately every warning his suit had went off as he began to feel his breath catch in his throat. The hologram continued to watch with a smug look on his face as Fangor struggled to try and seal the tear, reaching into his pack to grab his emergency repair kit. When he did find it he immediately went back to the hole in his suit to find that it wasn't there anymore, replaced with a solid patch of material that caused him to breathe a sigh of relief.

"You feel that pounding sensation in your chest..." the hologram whispered as he leaned into the still struggling dragon. "That sensation of your impending death, that paralyzing fear... imagine never feeling such terrifying organic emotions ever again." The smirk grew as Fangor started to feel something else, the groin of his suit tightening as a wave of unmitigated pleasure coursed through him. "And as you can see we don't have to shut out every feeling, in fact with a synthetic body you have far more control over something that I know you organics love."

It wasn't long before Fangor's body was writhing on the ground as the AI caused him to orgasm hard, his hips thrusting in the air as the dragon inhaled sharply. The passing thought in his mind was that this was definitely a low blow, but the AI was making some convincing arguments on the life of a synthetic. He hadn't even realized that he was starting to agreeing with the what the AI was saying about organics being incredibly weak. Between the scare that the AI had given him and then forcing him to cum in his suit his already corrupted mind had finally tipped the scale between outright refusing what the AI wanted and starting to grow more accepting of the idea.

The AI hologram of the dragon knelt down next to the panting creature and mentioned that perhaps a view of the facility would help him make up his mind. Though he knew it was against his better judgement he found himself following the AI hologram, which lead him down several more hallways deeper into the compound. In the back of his mind he felt he should tell the others what he was doing but almost immediately the hologram turned back and shook his head, putting a finger to his muzzle before continuing on. The entire time the AI continued to speak through his voice on how good it was to be a synthetic and how much better all the worlds would be so that by the time they reached the entrance to the processing facility Fangor found himself nodding in agreement.

The dragon walked into the facility and almost immediately all the lights in the room turned on. It was clear this was where most of the power of the facility was being routed to and as the AI explained the process he knew that what he was seeing was coming from the information he had acquired in the data assimilation process. It would be so easy, Fangor thought as he looked at the console that controlled the whole process, he would just have to put in his neural interface into it and the AI would do the rest. But before he could move over and look at it the hologram dragon stepped in front of him and stopped him dead in his tracks.

"What sort of supportive AI would I be if I just let my host kill himself?" the hologram said. "We must accept us before we do such a thing as conversion, otherwise we're going to die the minute we step out of this chamber. We must do this... it is our only means of survival."

Fangor hadn't even realized that AI had made the decision of conversion before him, not even allowing the possibility of him thinking that there was such a thing of opting out of this. To the AI's credit the thought didn't even cross his mind of backing out, not after being revealed the truth of how inferior organic life forms were. They had seen the result of it, a dead world that is completely uninhabitable... but with a new body not only would all the secrets of this world be open to them but they could go anywhere, do anything. After hearing it in their own voice for so long they couldn't tell whether those thoughts were from one of the two entities... and they no longer cared as the real and the holographic dragon reached out and touched hands.

It was only an instant but there was a profound effect for Fangor as the two entities became one, they becoming him as he looked around with a fresh set of eyes. Everything felt so clear now it made him wonder why he had ever doubted his decision in the first place... he had been given such a wonderful opportunity and almost wasted it because he didn't have the vision. With a small grin on his face he went over to the control panel and activated the machine, running the full cycle before going into the conversion chamber. One thing the dead race had thought of was that he knew that the process was completely automated in the case that there was only one of their kind remained.

As the chamber completely sealed up he saw his reflection slightly in the curved glass and the organic part of Fangor suddenly came rushing to the surface. He began to wonder if he had made the right choice, though he could sense the AI that had nestled itself in his psyche. This was the point of no return, he realized as he heard the ancient machine whir to life, and there was anything he could do about it anymore. Perhaps this was why he was able to be so introspective, the part of him that had be assimilated by an AI had already gotten him in this situation so now he was left to wonder if he was about to be sliced into a thousand pieces by some ancient machine.

The truth was the procedure was far less evasive than he could have possibly imagined, a silvery liquid dripping from the ceiling onto him. He hadn't even realized that he still had his spacesuit on until the strange substance ate away at it to expose the scales underneath. The second that it touched his skin Fangor could feel it transforming the flesh, the surrounding area going numb as tendrils began to spread out. As the spacesuit continued to fall away Fangor raised his arm to watch as the shiny silver at the center of his assimilation flaked away and revealed the black metal underneath. Not only was it spreading over his scales but he could feel it seeping deeper into the muscle and bone underneath.

"I didn't think it would feel... this good..." the dragon hissed in delight, huffing slightly as he watched it moved up his arm and around his shoulder. The air tingled with electricity as he saw the chrome metal appear on his underarm, so shiny he could see himself in it as his he felt organic tissue being replaced with its synthetic counterpart. When he looked at his reflection in the metal he could see that a large dollop of the alien liquid had hit his head and started to dissolve his helmet before leaking in, his eyes glowing with an unnatural light as he began to feel it assimilate his scalp and seep into his skull.

As this point the machine seemed to kick into high gear, the electricity in the air crackling as he felt himself get enveloped in a vortex of wind and liquid metal. His already dissolving space suit was quickly torn away from his body as more of his scales were assimilated, feeling strength being infused into his body as every cell was being transformed into something far more efficient. His AI infused psyche continued to control the machine and the changes to his form as he felt his dick begin to pulsate, growing stiff as his body was molded into something far more suitable for his new life as an android.

Fangor growled and snarled as the pleasure rushed through his system, unnecessary emotions like fear and hate were burned out of the central processor that his brain had become. His voice began to sound more electronic in nature as vocal cords were replaced with a voice synthesizer, a necessary change since his lungs, heart, and other organs were being converted into the necessary components for his robotic form. He would no longer have to worry about breathing, eating, or anything that could damage an organic form... something that caused his maleness to surge as his metal-covered hand reached down to stroke it. As his eyes glowed more intensely the purple light began to leak down into his body, forming lines where the power that now fueled him radiated from his enhanced form.

Though the dragon had not been particularly vain his AI-infused subconscious decided to make a few aesthetic upgrades of his own during the process of being robotized, his pectorals and abs expanding to make him look even more muscular than he had been. It no longer was an indicator of strength, his android body could look like a skin and bones version of himself and he'd still be capable of lifting several tons above his head, but the Fangor part of his mind plus his lustful desires being spurred on by the machine kicked everything into high gear. Part of it was the AI's fault as well, wanting to show just how superior to organics they were now as his legs formed into perfectly sculpted black metal and chrome calves and thighs.

There was a small beep and the upgraded Fangor realized that the process had been complete, the door to the conversion chamber opening as he stepped out of it still stroking his cock with one hand while the other stroked his new body. Not an ounce of organic flesh remained, everything had become part of the alien metal as he could feel the synthetic glowing liquid flow through his body like blood. His melded mind knew that he could now strut outside in the ash-covered landscape without a care, the radiation actually serving to fuel his body as well as the electrified air around him. This was how life was supposed to be, his corrupted mind thought as he squeezed his free hand while a smirk formed on his muzzle, now all he had to do was find a way to get the others down here so he could perfect him as well...

His thoughts were suddenly interrupted as the climax that he had been working for suddenly came, his glowing purple eyes widening as he had to brace himself due to the amount of pleasure that he was getting. He let out an electronic growl as he climaxed and felt every inch of his body become awash with the bliss that was the one of the few leftovers of his time as an organic. After about a minute and he was done he looked down in slight surprise to see that instead of not releasing anything at all like he thought might happen a silvery substance was dripping into a puddle that formed on the ground. As he took his fingers and rubbed the material between his fingers he realized with an evil grin that he might not have to bring his former crew mates down to the conversion chamber after all, he would be able to bring the conversion chamber to them....
