Dogtective Bryce Porthow

And The

Slime Cavern

A private dick, that is what they called him. The German Shepard/Collie mix always found himself thrown into the most bizarre investigations. The phone call he received late one afternoon would be just another start of something nasty. Even though it had only been a few years, Bryce made a decent name for himself in the small town nestled against the western mountains.

Bryce looked at his desk phone as it continued to ring. With a soft sigh, the detective answered.

“P.I. Bryce Porthow's office. How can I help you?"

“Oh please, Porthow, skip the preamble. It's Marv, we got something for you to look into. Grimes Co, the people running the mining operation that shutdown last week, needs someone to investigate a missing person so they can close the insurance claim. I referred them to you, you're welcome!" and before Bryce could reply, Marv hung up.

He had a shitty attitude, but the pig did throw a decent job to the private eye every now and then. Thankful for the work, Bryce walked a few blocks west to the precinct. He greeted an old goat at the front desk who tossed a packet to the dog.

“Good to see ya again, Jerry," Bryce said as he took the packet from the goat.

“You too, Bryce. Word is one of the miners went missing. They cleared the area of any gas leaks and search and rescue never turned out anything. Just need one last once over," Jerry said as he leaned back in his seat.

“If it was just a missing miner, why did they close the whole operation?" Bryce asked as he looked over the case file.

“Beats me, but if this Billy had to guess…I would say someone wanted to close the operation before winter hit the mountain, collect a decent insurance payout. But that is literally your job to figure out if you can, speculation isn't going to get that paycheck signed."

“Jeez, everyone in a mood today? Fine, I'm going," said the dog as he took the papers and left.

Bryce made it back into his office/apartment. He read over the notes a few times and the details were indeed vague. Two months ago, operations came to a close and all the workers were sent home. The missing person was the foreman, a bear in his fifties. The police investigation turned up nothing.

Interviews were about as substantial as all the other collected info. The bear was a loner and most of the current rotation of workers had only been there for a few weeks before they were sent home. With no other leads, the brave dogtective would have to check his last known location. He had to move before the trail grew any colder.

The mines were located at the base of the western mountain on the outskirts of town. The dog knew a farmer who owed him a favor. The rooster came by to pick up the dog and dropped him off at the mines. The farmer's ranch was only a short hike from the operation site and he could just stop by for a ride back when he was done at the site.

Autumn had begun to creep up and the days were cool and shorter. Bryce stepped into the pickup, careful to wipe away the straw and hay that seemed to stick to his suit. The rooster looked over and gave a curious head tilt that caused his comb and wattles to jiggle.

“Hey Henry, thanks for the lift," Bryce said to the rooster.

“Ain't a problem, thanks for helping out with the ex-wife. So, you're checking out the mines, huh? The old hens used to say the caves that run at the base of the mountain are haunted. I would think they were just tall tales they told chicks as to not wander too far from home," said Henry

“Haunted? If insurance policies covered ghosts, I would not have to make a trip all the way out here. He could have had an accident, or he could possibly be alive and just ran off and started a new life. I still have to check it out, could give his family some closure at least…and I get paid," Bryce said with a grin.

“Well whether you're going spelunking or not, take the flashlight from my glove compartment. You'll probably need it walking back to my place. Now the days are shorter, the mountain blocks the sun after mid-day. It will be dark before ya know it."

Bryce took the light and stuffed it inside his jacket pocket. “Thanks again. Looks like we're here, you can just drop me off at the gate there."

“Alright, take care Bryce. I'll see ya later!" said the rooster as his pickup kicked up dust clouds and the rattling of his exhaust faded into the distance. Bryce ducked under the guard house gate and trekked over to the onsite makeshift office. It was just an insulated shipping container that had a door cut into it. The door was unlocked, and the dog entered the office.

The foreman's office was practically barren, most of the company's reusable property was packed up when they left town. An old notice board had some post notes still pinned to it. A few vacation requests and a note about damage to a section of rail tracks. The note happened to be dated the same date the bear was last reportedly seen.

That note being the only clue around to go off, Bryce had no other choice but to check out the mines by himself. Perhaps it wasn't the best situation, but he could already see the shadow of the mountain creep towards him. Best check out what he could before it gets too dark. He walked down the packed dirt road to the mine entrance.

Smooth paved concrete formed the opening of the mine entrance. The platform connected a loading dock where carts and trucks could move machinery and earth in and out of the tunnel. According to his report, the rail tracks stretched over a kilometer into the mountain. The dogtective gave a curious bark into the darkness. The echo was long and hollow.

He pulled out the flashlight that Henry had given him and pointed it towards the darkness. With a soft click, the light spilled out well enough to see the ground and where he was going but provided no comfort to the emptiness ahead. Porthow begins his descent down the tunnel. The concrete pad ended with the minecart tracks descending further down into the mountain along stone and earth.

The dog sniffed at the cold air coming from the depths, his flashlight offered little comfort. He recalled the note in the office mentioning a section of rail that was damaged. Bryce checked the cart tracks, and nothing seemed off. So, he set off following the tracks into the mines, inspecting the area carefully.

After a few more minutes of walking he finally came across a slightly dented bend in the track. Investigating the area, he noticed the glint of something shiny beneath the tracks. The faint flash of his light reflecting off the edge of a deep crack in the ground. Below the damaged section of rails was an opening that was wide enough to fit an adult easily. Bryce peered down the gap, but his light could not reveal the bottom.

Porthow's luck struck once again, there was some rope abandoned near an overturned cart. He tied one end to the rail and tossed the rest down the hole. He could hear the end hit something that echoed. He slid down, flashing the light below him. About ten meters below the hole, the dog found ground.

He looked around and found himself inside a large cavern. This must have been a part of the natural caves that run under the base of the mountains. If the foreman fell down the hole, where was his body? The dog could not see or smell anything that indicated a bear was in the immediate vicinity. All he could smell was cold and wet air. As he looked around, he could make out some scuff marks on the cavern floor. He looked at the trail and it seemed to be a few footprints that led down a smooth slope.

The dogtective followed the trail till they seemed to stop in front of a solid wall of rock. He looked to the left and right, but saw no additional tracks. The trail just seemed to disappear. As he stood there, bewildered, a dripping noise echoed through the cavern. Startled, Bryce stepped back and looked for the noise. Something splattered right in front of him and his flashlight snapped back to where the trail ended.

A large glob of green slime splattered and ran down the rock face. Bryce looked up and discovered the missing foreman. He let out a gasp as he watched in morbid curiosity at the sight before him. Stuck against the cavern ceiling was the older bear, covered from the neck below in viscus green slime. He recalled the photo of the bear in the file and the foreman appeared to be a very fit bear for his age, but even though the face match, the bear stuck in the ceiling had put on weight…a lot of weight.

The foreman's gut distended obscenely beneath the layer of goo that kept him secured above. The green film stretched over the bear's inflated gut. To add to Bryce's shock, he could seem bumps squirming against the taut skin of the bear's mighty belly. The detective could just make out the bear's face, his muzzle was held open by some mass opaque slime. The dog's ears perked up again as he heard the bear grunt.

The bear shuddered and groaned against his bindings and Bryce saw a white streak begin to shoot from the bear's crotch into a large pulsating mass of ooze that now hung directly above the detective.

“Fuck…" was all Porthow managed to say before the slime splashed down upon the dogtective. He dropped the light as he raised his paws in a poor attempt to protect himself from the onslaught. The goop splashed against his arms and chest, sticking tight to his fur and clothes before its elastic like qualities snapped it back into the ceiling like a bungee cord.

The impact of being slammed into the ceiling was enough to knock the wind from Bryce. Dazed from the attack, the dog found himself quickly stuck in the slime just like the bear. He tried to pull his arms away, but the green goo held him tight. His clothes seemed to dissolve as his threads melted against the viscous creature.

The flashlight had landed against a small stalagmite and illuminated the area of ceiling the two were stuck to. Trapped in some strange slime creature, Bryce looked back over at the bear. The foreman seemed to just be staring down at the ground, not quite looking directly at anything. He appeared to be in a dazed state, his eyes began to roll around as he shuddered again. Bryce felt the goo around him begin to shift and pulsate.

It wasn't long before the detective figured out what was going on here. This thing was using the bear as an incubator for its young. The dog could make out the shape of something oblong and white coming out from between the bears legs before disappearing outside the illuminated area. The slime seemed to cover most of the ceiling, beyond the range of the light.

Porthow let out a yelp as he felt the slime start to push against his exposed tailhole. It was cold, slick, and unyielding. It spread his pucker like smooth butter, sinking in just a few centimeters at a time. The dog gasped as he felt prod of a tendril against his prostate. It seemed to mash and nudge against it constantly, forcing the detective's cock to swell from his sheath. Helpless against the cave ooze, the detective stopped resisting.

Bryce relaxed and let out a short moan. The slime covering his crotch squeezed and caressed the entire length of his canine cock and well as tugging against his fuzzy orbs. After a moment, the dog felt himself rocking against the slime as it continued to stimulate his trapped member. He closed his eyes, panting hard as he felt the slime begin to push further up his backside.

It began to twist and turn as it squished a tendril up the dog's ass. The creature started to sink deeper in, spreading the tight ring as it pushed. The detective groaned as the slime began to really pound into the dog. The alien goo continued to pump into both trapped bodies, stroking their hard arousals in tandem. The two were on the verge of orgasm and suddenly the slime just went still in their guts.

It started with a stretching sensation and then a plop. The first of many eggs began to push against their loosen holes. The pressure built up for but a moment before popping in smoothly. The slick slime pushed the eggs deeper into their bowels with ease. As the firm masses began to roll across their prostates, it sent them over the edge. They shuddered as the ooze milked the seed from their bodies. The collected seed would be used to fertilize its brood.

Exhausted, Bryce went slack. Struggling was beyond useless and he groaned as the slime continued to deposit its eggs. Something pushed into the dogtective's muzzle, too exhausted to resist, the thick jelly like slime poured into his gullet. He swallowed the goop being pumped straight down his throat without much difficulty. His breathing seemed to be unobstructed. The slime seemed to have no taste, but the volume of goo he was being force fed began to make him tired.

Some time later, Bryce's eyes fluttered open as he felt a familiar pressure in his distended gut. The ooze now suspended its incubators in a reclined position, their knees spread along their large bellies. The flashlight still lit the cavern ceiling allowing Bryce to see the bear suspended next to him. Their asses hung below, uncovered by slime and their taut bellies squirmed with the life inside.

Clear slime gushed out in a sharp spurt before their loose holes began to spread once more. Tiny slime monsters began to plop out, splattering against the cavern floors before reforming and disappearing into the darkness. Bryce groaned as the little ones began to push and squirm, racing for the exit. The dog could already feel his cock getting hard once more from the stimulation.

Unable to tell how much time had passed, Bryce felt the last slime finally leave his rear and suddenly he was flipped around. His still hard cock began to bounce and throb inside the slime creature as it started the cycle again. Porthow groaned, helpless to stop it. The slime kept them fed and alive as it dumped brood after brood into the two.

A few weeks had passed, an early cold snap of an approaching winter brought frigid winds down the mountain. The cold temperatures caused the rock of the mountain to become freezing. The slime attached to the ceiling would begin to crystalize, shattering off bits and pieces of its body until finally Bryce and the foreman detached and splashed against the cavern floor…

There was a knock on the door and Henry wondered who could be here this late at night. The rooster opened the door and gasped as he saw Bryce and a bear propped up against each other, clutching a sizable potbelly. “Bryce?! What the hell happened to you? Get your ass in here before you freeze to death," Jerry said as he stepped out to help Bryce and the bear inside. As he closed the door, he noticed streaks and globs of green slime all over the floor.
