World war VI: classified
This is a short story which is a prequel to the real story, feel free to let me know what you think.
Justin: good morning Admiral, you wanted to see me sir?
Dave: yes, take a seat please, this might take some time, do you know why I wanted to speak with you in private?
Justin: no sir, but I was told that it was very important and a urgent matter, is everything ok sir?
Dave: Justin, what I'm about to tell you is extremely classified and cannot leave this room, do you understand me?
Justin: sir, yes sir.
Dave: 37 days ago one of our military satellites picked up a strange unidentified anomaly twelve thousand miles from the earths atmosphere, we sent one of our fastest shuttles into space to investigate, sadly the shuttle and it's crew never returned, they were reported as MIA, with each day that went by the object would get closer and closer to earth, five days ago the anomaly crash landed in the middle of Toronto, we don't know what they are but some sort of creatures came out of it and started attacking innocent civilians, we suspect they are looking for something, and if they are it is our duty to find whatever is before they do, I need you to be ready Justin, you and you're team have to be prepared in an hour to face this threat, do you think they are ready? Do you think you are ready?
Justin: yes sir, I know my team is ready, we have faced many challenges and fought many wars, I'm sure this one will be a walk in the park.
Dave: with all due respect officer, this will be the most difficult assignment you or any of us will ever face, I just pray we will win this war and achieve victory!
Justin: we will sir, I promise.
Intercom: attention everyone, it is now time for lunch.
Dave: well I should probably let you go now, take care Justin...and Justin..be careful out there.
Justin: sir, yes sir.
