My son Kohen

ch1. Birth and a new beginning

This is a furry story about my furry son Kohen and how his life and mine plays out.

It was a dark beautiful night, full moon and millions of bright stars. My girlfriend Neecha was in labor in our fair sized home deep in the woods community of the furies. She was such a beautiful neko. Her hair was smooth, turquoise blue, and her eyes, oh her eyes red as blood in the dark and bright red of kindness in the light. We loved each other so much, and now that Kohen was to be born I was so happy. I'm a wolf neko furry with the ability to change between the two furry species or blend them. My short but cute brown blondish hair, and fluffy brown tail, and my light blue almost white blue eyes.

As Neecha's contractions grew more she grew weaker. I knew then that she wasn't going to make it through her labor. As she contracted one more time, Kohen slid out from her and I took him into my arms and held him tight but softly, wiping away the fluids on his face so he could open his eyes. And when he did I cried so hard of happiness. His eyes seemed to flow my eye color and Neecha's together changing them. I gave him to Neecha and she held him tightly and licked him clean, me helping too. She told me "Kuren. You must take Kohen with u. I cannot make it. I'm so at peace now, and u is the best ever. I don't want to leave you two but I can't hold on much longer. I love you and Kohen so much. stay pure to yourselves always." with her last breath out of her, I couldn't hold myself back, I screamed into the night, tears flowing from my eyes. Kohen opened his eyes but did not cry until he say my eyes and then saw out the corner of his eyes, he cried as hard as I did. I smiled at his intellect. "I can tell your going to be just as hearted as me and your mother and just as smart" he stop crying too and we fell asleep into the night, this night of pain but happiness.

6 months of sorrow and consoling pass

As the bright morning sun rose, I and Kohen rose. Already he's walking, I'm so proud of him. We sat down at the table and I ask him "what do u thinks we should have for breakfast today?" he had an expression of 'hmmm?' on his face and then he got up and pointed at the dungeon door. I told him "humans are for lunch or supper only. We need something with good carbohydrates" I look of 'eureka!' lit up his face. He ran to the fridge and took out last night's rice and fish. "Excellent choice Kohen" he clapped his hands and made one of those crazy happy baby noises. I smiled and chuckled at his happiness.

We sat and ate for a bit and then went out on our morning walk reviewing the dangers and good things in the woods. He was so smart. He remembered everything in as best detail he could. Though he couldn't talk he could say dad, my name is Kohen, yes and no. most of the time he used body language.

As I watched him chase a little mouse it reminded me that in a couple of years we have to move away from the woods and live in the city so he can be schooled.

In the next three years I and Kohen played and taught each other. I taught him the ways of the forest and the city. He was ready for anything.

"Dad." "Yes Kohen?" "I'm glad we are going to the city" "and y is that?" "Because I'm gonna make some friends and become just as smart and strong as you." I smiled at him and he smiled big back. He grows fast. Just like I and his mother did when we were just kids. He's about 2 feet 8 inches. About half my height. As we packed up our stuff and enough food to last 2weeks I told him. "This is gonna be like the biggest hiking trip we will ever make. It will take about 10 days to get to our city house" "dad if u r so rich and powerful, y don't we just drive to the city?" "I don't like to be complicated. I like to be natural and let the animal heritage in us live on. Like sticking to my roots" "oh I see now. It's a self belief thing so you keep yourself pure. Right?" "That's exactly it my son" even I was surprised of how smart he was.

We hiked through the mountains and the forests running most of the way. I kept a slow pace for Kohen but he rushed on past me and I picked up the pace realizing all the secret walks that he did every night, he was training for this hike. I was so proud of him. "C'mon ya fuck'n old timer! Hurry your ass up!" I could tell he was bugging me, it was so funny. "Alrighty Mr. Almighty. Think your fast?" with one kick I was ahead of him and I ran faster than he thought I would. Kohen caught up to my pace and I told him "do u want me to go faster?" he yells in a surprised voice "no!!" we ran and ran until we reach the top of the hill were me and Neecha made love to make him. All the city's lights below shined brightly but quietly. "Wow it looks better than I imagined!! But looks are very deceiving" "that is very true in the city son. All that I taught u how to deal with the city and your spirituality must be together as one in the city. Now let us set up camp and sleep well. We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow" we set up the tent and crawled into the big warm soft sleeping bag. I held Kohen beside me and said "Kohen I love u so much son" " I love u too dad" "this is the same spot me and your mother made love to have you" "what was moms name?" "Neecha. She was the world to me, and then we were gonna share our world with u but at the time she wasn't ready to have a son" "is that y she died the night of my birth?" "Yes Kohen" "all I remember from that night was seeing your sad tear drenched eyes and my mother. She was so beautiful and then I looked back at you and cried with you" he sobbed a bit but stood strong not to let his emotions get the best of him. I held him tighter telling him "Kohen its ok to cry." I let a few tears go myself. Kohen turned over to look at me and when he saw my tears he buried his head into my chest wetting it with his tears. I held him closely and rubbed his back " there, there little one." we fell asleep to each other's sobs on tears but look one last time into each other's eyes seeing we were both glad that I new chapter of our lives without a most loved and needed one would begin. Chapters of teaching, and new feelings, and new abilities, and new questions.
