Chapter 23: vacation on Wolf island

THe sun was just peecking out from behind the tree tops as two Motorcycles with a side car , a furry head of a Shepard poking out of each, came to a stop, the riders dismounting their bikes and removing their helmets. Looking towards each other. "THe new O-star Interface is working good." commented ROen, as he unleashed Connor from his travel harness clipped safetly to the specially equippedsidecar for dogs, as ALex did the same for Ace.

The coastal town of Wolf island was just 2hours away from Wolf Point, known for its charm and hospitality. It's historic buildings were places the guys where itching to explore. The bikes equipped with the selfdriving O-star Interface, allowing them more freedom and not relying on their parents.

"So we're here babe, so unpack and rest ?" Alex asked, going to the back of his bike and unclipping a saddle bag to start unpacking.

. Ace and Connor were in their kanine forms, not being able to change unless morphing to their Ranger forms or slipping through a dimensional rift. So the two dogs did what dogs did best and kanine supervised: which involved the two dogs laying round staring at their partners and panting and more staring.

"You know you two could help. Don't give me that excuse your dogs and have no thumbs." Alex complained, as he pulled a rolling convertable backpack out of the storage compartment on the sidecar .

"Give it a rest Alex. You know they can't assume their humanoid forms,, without morphing or a dimensionalrift. ROen said,

"Would it be using their powers for personal game, if its moving our stuff into the room and then unpack it all?" Alex asked as he fingered his wrist mounted Morpher. ?Sadly yes." ROen replied, Alex gave a big sigh as he continued to unpack some of his stuff from his bike as ROen did the same with stuff from his bike.

As the four found their way to the front door and check in at the Historic Grey Wolf Inn,

The person at the front desk was a older grandmotherly type who smiled at the guys and dogs as they came in. "Welcome to the grey Wolf Inn, how can I help?" She asked as the four got to the small front desk.

"Check in for 11 O'clock for Oliver/Sage." Alex replied to the grandmotherly older woman.

"Ah yes, let me see here." SHe responded as she looked at the computer screen with a squint. "Ah there you are, okay all checked in." She said as she clicked a button on the mouse.

Some time later

Both boys heaved big sighs a bit later as all the unpacking was done , with clothes put away in the dresser drawer and the dogs' feeding area was setup and the dogs' were watered. Connor and Ace were on the kingsize bed with Roen and ALex the four laying around listening to the tv for backround noise. Connor and Ace already half way asleep, their light storing accompanying the sound from the TV.

A few hours later Roen and Alex's stomachs growled loudly, Alex waking from his half doze next to Roen who was partly listening to a audiobook on his iPhone, giving a start as he jumped a bit.

Alex rubbing the back of his head with a hand smiling Shiley . "Guess its time for dinner."

"So what do we want?" Roen was on his iPad looking up local Restaurants and finding a few and listing them off to Alex, as he did his own research. Connor and Ace all the while cuddled up to each other waiting for their partners to figure out their dinner and for them to remember the kanines' dinners. Ace let out a whine as ROen and Alex decided on a place as Connor joined in on whining for dinner.

"Well we have are place chosen, feed the hungry hounds before we leave." Alex said as he headed into the bathroom to pee before they went off to the cuban restaurant a few blocks away. Roen pulled himself out of bed as Connor and Ace nudged him over to their food. Getting over there Roen found two baggies of food and got the boys to sit and wait as he poored their food into there bowls , and then release them to eat.

The toilet flushed as Alex exited the bathroom still drying his hands , as ROen brushs pass him to pee also .

With the kanines fed and the boys reliefed they headed out to the restaurant.

A little while and about 4 blocks later

Connor and Ace stopped as Alex pulled open the door toRancho Alegre Cuban Restaurant, with a host greeting them upon entering. "Hi there, table for two?" he asked, as he pulled two menus and lead the guys and dogs to a table and put the menus in front of Roen and Alex, as they took their seats. "So what would you like to drink?" the host asked, pulling out a notepad.

"Coke for me." Alex answered, "You Babe?"

"Cherry sprite." ROen answered, as the host wrote down their drink orders. "I'll give you a bit to look over the menu."

With that the host walked off to fill their drink orders, Back at the table ROen and Alex were discussing the menu.

"Hmmm, I've been wanting some Cubin food." ALex was nearly drooling at the smells of the food as it came out of the kitchen passed them. "So how's the menu look?" ROen asked, "What looks good?"

Alex looked down at the menu through his iPhone screen magnifying it as he scanned through for stuff Roen liked, since he didn't do salads , looking for the appetizers and entrées. He found a sandwitch that sounded promising-for $10,00 an

PAN CON LECHN

Roasted, shredded pork sandwich. How's this a PAN CON LECHN, its $10." Alex pointed out to ROen "sounds good any appetizers?"

"Yeah a few." Alex answered as he read off a few to Roen "There's this $9

CUBAN SAMPLER it has

Chicharritas, croquetas, empanada and papa rellena." Alex stumbled through the Spanish wording. "Sounds good, get that to share and me the Lechon sandwitch and if you find something good." ROen says, sitting back

Alex looked through the menu a bit more and found a $8,50

SANDWICH DE BISTEC

Steak, lettuce, tomato, and Mojo for himself, and then placed their order.

After a while their appetizer came out, the smell hitting their noses before it was set on the table before them. The smell of the CUBAN SAMPLER making both of their mouths water, Connor and Ace, laying next to their partners as they sniffed the air appreciatively.

"Sorry boys no CUBAN SAMPLEr for you." ALex said, as he plated the food for Roen and himself, passing Roe's plate to him.

"I've been looking forward to this since we found the place on Yelp." ROen said, as he took a bite of a empanada .

Alex in turn trying a bite of each item.

"I really like these papa rellena." , not sure what rthey are, but there good." Alex chewed with gusto on the food.

Soon the appetizer sampler was finished as their main dishes came out.

Sometime later , ROen leaned back in his chair and let out a sigh of Satisfaction, ALex just finishing his last few bites of his dish aand then leand back in satisfaction also,

Alex paid the bill, as ROen and Connor found a restroom. Roen finished washing his hands and then dried them, then exiting the restroom and told Connor to find Ace and Alex. THe foursome left the restaurant to explore what the downtown has to offer.

Roen and Connor where leading the way, the GPS on his iPhone announcing points of interest as they passed.

"Petsuperstore." the Gps announces, as Roen and Connor get near to the store on their right, "Hey Alex there's a pet store here, want to see if there's anything good for the boys?"

"Yeah, let's go in." Alex says, as he leads in in with Ace and ROen and Connor behind them.

Roen and Connor wonder about the store, every once in a while Roen running a finger over something interesting, Connor sniffing the dog toys that he found interesting, Alex and Ace where looking at stuff also, a item that Alex was holding close to his face trying to see the price of a bully stick for Ace, another one slipped in a pocket for Connor, Ace all the while sstaring at the tastey treat , "Hey Roe you think the boys want some bully sticks?" Alex asked, as he brings them over to Roen to look at. "Seeing how Connor is all eyes and nose on it, I think they both want it."

Ace and Connor where staring Intently at the bully sticks that Roe held in a hand, Roe moving the treats back and forth, the two kanines following them as they moved. "Okay boys let's pay for them and keep looking around and then we can go back to the hotel." Alex sticking the treats in a pocket as he and Roe along with the dogs went to pay for there treats and left to explore downtown more.

Later that night, the door to the hotelroom unlocked the four making their way in, closing the door ebhind them, and locking it and then sitting on the king size bed tired from just the first day.

The week flu by with ROen and Alex where soon packing their backpacks and clipping leashes to the boys as they made their way to their bikes, and repacking their backpacks in their saddle bags and once finished,mounting them and kicking the bikes to life.

Connor and Ace in their travel harnesses tied and settled in their sidecars. "Ready?" ALex asked, as he settled his helmet over his head, as the visor HUD display activated in front of his eyes. "Welcome Alex, please select destination." THe helmet AI spoke. "destination: Home, for Me and Roen."

"destination confirmed, processing...Routconfirmed." The Ai said, "Confirm destination!" ROen said, his own helmet settled on his head, visor down. the bikes starting to move, heading towards Wolf Point and home.
