A strange Orb appears in the sky. No-one knows why, but after more than a year, one woman accidentally finds out.

Orb

The day the Orb came, the world changed forever.

A vast metal sphere, miles in diameter, simply appeared over sixty nautical miles north of the Galapagos archipelago. It hovered precisely one hundred and seventy five point two six centimetres over the water's surface, rising and falling with the tides and each individual ripple that passed beneath its lowest point. Nations panicked and people all over the world stared in awe, in horror, and in dumbfounded shock at their phones, computer screens and TVs, while it remained there for a day. A week. A month, resisting any efforts to move or penetrate it, but offering no resistance as scientists studied it, militaries devised potential strategies to neutralise it, and several small cults sprang up appearing to worship it.

Almost ten weeks after its initial arrival though, it finally responded to the world's questions. It finally gave an answer, though by no means a direct one, to the myriad signals being directed at it by governments, private companies, individuals with radios and other electronic devices, and of course the media. A small hatch opened up at its peak, and from within a column of far smaller orbs, each about the size of a tennis ball, began to rise up into the air before shooting off as though propelled by a great force in all directions. Fighter jets and bombers were scrambled. Anti-missile weapons were launched. The vast multi-national fleet of ships surrounding the Orb opened fire upon it as it seemed to launch its attack upon the world. But as those orbs began to fall from the sky in nations all across the planet, they did so not with vast explosions or to release deadly clouds of gas, but simply with a soft metallic clink. They came to rest on streets, in gardens and miraculously clear of anywhere that they could do even accidental harm to a living creature by their landing, and the feared interplanetary war was over before it even had a chance to begin.

The smoke cleared from around the orb, and showed its surface undented. Unscarred. Utterly untouched by the weapon's fire that had bathed it from all angles. The governments of the world stopped commanding their navies to fire and instead began to beg their peoples not to touch or interact with the smaller orbs now littering the planet from pole to pole, date line to date line. But of course, the people didn't listen. Curiosity got the better of so very many of them, and orbs found their way into the homes of people all over the world. Resting on coffee tables, kitchen countertops, bedside cabinets.

The cults grew larger. Some proclaimed this was a sign of the end times, twisting scripture and stretching simile and metaphor to ensure that an Orb was somehow amongst the signs of Revelation or Ragnarok or some such apocalypse. Others proclaimed that these orbs were gift from beings not of divine presence, but from other worlds or dimensions, and that they were here to test all of anthrokind. To usher forth a new age of prosperity for the worthy, and to see the unworthy consumed by their own confusion and malice. For many though, the world simply continued on as it always had. The same problems, the same joys, the same sorrows and frustrations persisted regardless of the giant Orb floating above the ocean far, far away from most of the regular people in the world.

The world persisted as before until one day, the end of the four hundred and nineteenth day since the Orb's arrival, a woman in Vancouver lit up a second consecutive joint to celebrate the impending four hundred and twentieth day of the Orb's presence. She lay back on her couch, turned on the Orb News Network's live youtube feed on her laptop, and giggled as a dumb idea crossed her mind. Tyra set her still smoking, freshly rolled joint down, slowly lifted herself to her feet, and padded across the living room to where the first of her many collected orbs was resting with pride of place upon her bookshelf. She picked it up in one hand, stroked its smooth, flawless surface with the fingers of the other, and felt herself blushing as she padded back to the couch.

"This is so dumb..."

She murmured, grinning as she continued on with her plan in full awareness of how foolish and wholly unnecessary it surely was. No sooner had the hyena flopped back down onto the couch, slipped her joint back between her lips and set the orb down carefully resting in the cleavage of her tank top, Tyra reached down and hooked her thumbs under the waistline of her shorts. She eased them down, not a stitch of underwear beneath the soft, lounge-pant fabric, and growled in anticipation as she spread her legs, hooking one foot over the back of the couch while the other was allowed to flop down to the floor.

"Dumb, but... hey, much as I'm no sexpert, I'm probably not the first person in the world to do this. Right, Orby?"

She glanced at the screen of her laptop, winking and giggling as she observed the giant, unnatural Orb floating there over the ocean as it always did, while simultaneously one hand plucked the smaller Orb from her breasts, and guided it down between her legs.

Tyra didn't really think there was any particularly good technique to apply. She was relying on the buzz of horniness which smoking tended to give her and simple, good old friction to get her the rest of the way as she pressed the Orb to her pussy, more specifically seeking to rub it against her large, always receptive clitoris. She gasped, and her eyes widened slightly as it made contact in a surprisingly pleasurable manner. The metal was cool against her hand, but surprisingly warm and yet soothing in its temperature against her clit. A moment later that gasp turned to a growl, though one of extreme excitement, albeit slight confusion as she swore she felt her hand starting to shake so hard it was like the Orb was vibrating against her clit. That growl became a yelp just seconds after that though, when Tyra realised that the orb was vibrating, and began to glance down curiously, confused between her legs.

At that very moment, from the laptop close by a voice broke out across what these days was a mostly silent, video only live feed of the main Orb itself.

"T-to anyone listening, this is... u-uh, this is junior intern Jeffrey Davenport. I'm here at the studio monitoring our video feed, and... I'd just like to assure you that we'll have information to you as quickly as possible regarding w-what... what you can see on your screens now. The Orb appears to be... glowing. Oh my god. O-oh my god, it's getting brighter. So bright. So..."

Tyra howled as her attempts to listen in were circumvented by the sheer overwhelming euphoria crashing through her body in that same moment. She couldn't move her hand. Couldn't pull the orb away as it felt like lightning crackled between it and the throbbing clit with which it was in contact. But that was okay, because the last thing she wanted to do in that moment was to stop these incredible feelings. The last thing she wanted was for this to end as light every bit as bright as that radiating off the vast, original Orb seemed to blaze around her, and pleasure consumed her as she began to cum uncontrollably.

Bliss.

Delight.

Pure, unfettered rapture crashed through Tyra as the Orb between her legs continued to pump undiluted ecstasy into every last cell of her body. She howled, she screamed, she kicked and thrashed, and she just kept on cumming, and cumming, and...

She was still cumming, still lost in unending, relentless euphoria, when through the blinding light of the Orb's presence, Tyra saw something. A figure. Another body, looming over her in the radiance. Nuzzling against her panting face. Kissing her. Touching her trembling body with strong, but gentle hands.

Their mouth opened, and though their lips didn't move, an echoing voice filled not just Tyra's mind, but the whole world, spoken from the main Orb and from every other Orb across the entire planet as one.

The horse smiled down at Tyra. They held her. They kissed her.

Their champion.

Their Queen.

The first to truly understand their gift.

And as they did so, they spoke to her and to the world, revealing themself at long last.

"I AM ORB."

They used the only name the world at large knew them by, and claimed it proudly as they delivered their message to this world for all to hear, now that they knew there was at least one soul present on the planet who had the capacity to truly understand them, even without words.

"LOVE ORB. PROTECT ORB. AND ORB WILL LOVE YOU, PROTECT YOU, NOW AND ALWAYS."
