Wolf meeting gone wrong (or did it?)
Riley was a rather average looking, 25 year old human male, having a fairly slim, yet toned build to his body, standing 6 feet 2 tall, with shoulder lenght brown hair, as well as grayish eyes, he was what some would refer as handsome, and yet he was not one for social interaction, living in a small house near the woods, living by himself, enjoying the quiet and serene scenery he had from his backyard, only going t town for the basic necessity shopping otherwise spending most of his time either home, or in the woods, until he heard rumors about a roaming wolf pack, which he was curious about.
All seemed normal while enjoying one of his usual woods explorations, he stumbled on a clearing he used to lay down at times, yet something felt off, he felts he was observed, nervoulsy looking around, he started slowly going back home, unable to shake away the feeling he was being watched, picking up the pace, he went for a light jog, locking up the door to his home, he then proceeded to the basement, locking all doors, before grabbing the double barrel shotgun he was gifted on his birthday, relaxing best he could, going to the kitchen for some food, keeping a nervous eye outside, no seeing anything, sighing, he relaxed, storing the gun away in a locker, going for a shower, figuring it was only his imagination playing tricks on his mind.
What he did not know, was he was indeed followed on his way home, a wolf was standing at the edge of the property, having taken an interest in the young human, she was studying the surroudings, taking notice of the fences, as well as a hole in it, yet the wolf did nothing on it, only studying the situation, waiting for an opportunity to get in, going back to the woods for the night, making sure to come back whenever she could.
Weeks went by, and things seemed to quiet down for Riley, yet the feeling of being watched was still present, along evidence he found soething was trying to get on his property, having found a recently dug hole under the fence, large enough he could easily crawl through to the woods, as well as scratches and biting marks on the fence posts and nearby tree, making him nervous about wildlife trying to break on his property, until he one day found patches of greyish black fur near the basement windows, mkaking him wonder where it could have come from, yet not finding any clue as to why it was here, ans why now, close to mating season.
The night came by, and the wolf finally had enough of waiting, carefully making her way through the backyard, until she found the small window she let fur at, having noticed it did not fully close, she could push it open, which she did, getting her head in the opening, she studied the inside, noticing the sound of running water, as well as the low lighting, taking her chance, she managed to get through the window, moving as slowly and carefully as possible, while Riley was currently taking a shower, unaware as to what was going on in the basement, taking his time cleaning up, thinking and huming. Finally exiting the shower, he dried off, then got out, wearing nothing but a towel around his waist, shivering as he felt a cold wind 束Mmh? Did i let a window open?損 he mused, checking each and every window, seeing they were all closed, yet the wind was still here, he went to the basement, noticing the faulty window was open again 束Gah, i really need to get this fixed, who knows what might get in?損 he said inf rustration, stopping as he heard a noise coming from the stairs he just got down 束What the? Who's there? Show yourself!損 he demanded, yet saw nothing, sighing, he grunted 束damn wind, making me paranoid again損 he groaned, closing the window and making sure the door was locked, going back upstairs, to the living room, soon to get a surprise
The wolf had heard him come down, quickly hiding, and waiting for him to move, or at least turn away, she had made her way up to the living room, looking around, finding the place to be cozy and welcoming, more so than the cave she shared with her pack, laying donw on the rg in front of the couch, now waiting for her prey to come back, ears perked up as she ried to detect any sound he may make on his way, which he soon did, walking up the stairs, leting out a loud, frustrated sigh, not noticing the wolf hiding under the table, he made his way to the couch, resting his feet on the table 束Man, i swear, something feels off lately, what could it be?損 he wondered aloud, humming 束Mmh, maybe those rumors about wolves got to my head lately損 he hummed, stopping dead in his tracks when he saw two eyes looking at him, making him yelp in surprise, falling from the couch onto the wodden floor, towel getting undone as he fell backwards, the wolf finally coming into view.
