It was a rainy day but even that couln't stop the moment they felt together. Neither of them wanted their feelings to end but alas it had to at some point. "Gotta make the coffee." he said letting her go and slowly getting up and put on his pajama shorts. Zella did the same putting her pjs on as they both left his room. Ace and Naomi joined them shorlty as Ace grogily asked "So how was your date yesterday? we missed you both. The group went their seperate ways to work shortly after with Snowball staying behind since his work days were the weekend and he sank into his recliner running throurgh his head what he would say to Zella's dad. But how courld he tell him that he was falling in deep with his best friend his daughter and make it seem genuine.

Well he had most of the day to figure it out. Another hurdle to overcome in his relationship. The first two were hard enough but he made it through. His running over the years wasnt from his problems but from his solution to a happy life. If only his grandparents were still alive to see this moment.

Naomi was dropped off at work and half way through her shift she went on break almost at the same time as Kenji whose client cancelled. "So" he said "How was it between them?" Ace was busy working ona civic his car parked out frong and he was talking with his cowokder "So hows the girlfriend?" his coworker asked. "Naomis good slowly adjusting to living with us. Though I sense its going to get more corwded soon if my bunkmate asks his girlfriend to move in. Hasnt done that yet. Might be a while since they're just gfiguring things out'" Ace said. "Just hope those two make it. Heard they almost clobbered each other on their first date." Ace added. "Well" his coworker said "Stranger things have happened no help me mount this wintercooler." Ace would stay busy most of the day.

It was Z's break by the time Snowball entered the coffee house. She got their usual drinks and sat in the corner together. "You know at some point we have to tell your father." Snowball said taking a sip of his coffee. "You really are a masochist aren't you? You know how that'll end. Besides I'm a grown adult . I can make my own choices." Zella said. "He's gonna find out eventurally when he gets a future wedding invite. It's not right to keep it from him." Snowball said. "Your funeral." "Oh your coming too. I'm not lettting you off the hook." he said. Z rolled her eyes. "Throw me under the bus." Z said "Hey! you were the one chasing me down. You initiated this relationship. May as well take ownership in the lecture we're going to get." he said. "I hate it when your right." came her reply. "Alright I gotta get back to work pick me up in a couple. We'll take him and my mom out for dinner to soften the blow." she said.

Later that evening after rpicking Zella up he stopped in front of their house next door and picked her parents up. The drove to the resturant were they had reservations and sat down at the table. Zella sitting next to Snowball kneed him under the table as the group began reading the menus. It wasnt long before their orders were in that Snowball cleared his throat. "So the reason we brought you out is... I'm just going to rip the bandaid off. I'm dating your daughter." "WHAT?!" he shouted. "Yes. I let her chase me down." Zella nodded holding hands under the table with Snowball. "Look I know your particular about these things...." "Oh you think?! Thats my baby girl there." "Look. Woul you rather it be someone else or someone you've known all his life? I'm not going to hurt her. I'm the last guy who would. The fact is I Love her. I Decided one day to running and she caught up to me. And I dont have any regrets." Snowball said defending his position. I guess if you both are happy than I'm happy." her mom said. Her dad grunted "And how do you plan to support yoursleves. Zella you work for minimum wage. And Snowall I dont know what you do but I doubt you're paid well." he said. Snowball put his foot down "For your information I run primetime Friday, Saturday, Sunday on the radio station and I make good money doing." "I'm okay where I am though the Tips can get rough." Z said. "Look I knew it was going to go like this. You don't have to like me but I'm not going anywhere. Its better me than not." Snowball was adament. Her dad sighed as he put his hand on his face. "I'm just worried you both are unprepared." "Dad, we know its rough and a blind trip but we're prepared to do whats necessary to make it work. Its not a relationship if either does put in the work." Zella said. He sighed again "I just dont want you to get hurt." "I won't daddy. We already had a little spat and realized talking it through is the answer. I don't forsee this ending." Zella said. "I really am in love with your daugher and plan to do what it takes to make this work." Snowball said as the food arrived. "I can see theres no talking either of you down. So you better hope your right. Though I do agree its better I already know the person than not. After all you and your sister were guest for a bit as cubs. And I supposoe you didn't turn out like your deadbeat father." he said. "I made a promise to myself I'd never go down my frathers path. Freaks in jail for a reasosn." Snowball said. It had been a heated night but the couple stuck to their guns and dug in. Zellas father cooled down. Though he wasnt happy with them he did agree Snowball wasnt that bad ofa choice.

Afaater the dinner they piled into his trac and heafrf for ,home. They dropped her pare nts off at home. as they headed for their Snowballs pad.. Zella hadnt been home in days. It wasnt surprising. Her dad knew now that she wasnt sleeping on Snowballs couch but with him but he said nothing to avoid an incident as he knew they'd stand their ground.

Upon returing home and helping Snowball up the stairs Ace asked "So everything good?" "No but at least he's not denying us. I get it I defiled his daughter but at least it was me and not a stanger." Snowball said. "It's not defiling if its consensual" Zella said, "Ya you spent every night this week here. Thought about just living here?"Ace asked her. "No. I mean Yes. I mean... if it won't be a problem." "Z we can use someone else to split bills with and dont think you're a problem. A litte crowded but we'll figure it out. Ace makes a good point. We know we're trying to make this work an I"d love to have you here." Snowball said. "Alright than. I'll move my stuff over." Z said. "We'll start it in the morning." Ace declared. "I don't think my sister is going to help as usual but I dont think we have much to do since you live next door." "Hell we'll update the ansering machine message afterwards." Ace said. It wasnt surprising; Z was already practically living there and she4 jumped in his arms and hugged him giving him the deepest kiss. For the first time in her life it was time to go home.
