He shows us the garden and the rest of the grounds. "This part behind the shed we could never figure out what to do here" he says. "A lot won't grow but we can work something out" He says. "I do too, I love this place" Beau says, his eye shining. Rory tells me he doesn't care about the bedrooms that he could live in that gorgeous pool. Jesse tells me it's nice and roomy, but do we need so many bedrooms. I nod. We know Dad and Jeb will be out to visit if not move I tell him.

"Dad is thinking he might move the main offices out here when we start school" I tell him. So that means Dad and Jeb and Alfred at least I say counting noses. "So that's five bedrooms right there" I tell him. Dorothy has left us to mostly explore the house on our own. "How long will closing take out here?" I ask her. "Obviously, you want it" she says smiling. "I do indeed" I admit. "We want it bad" Beau says from behind me. "My mate here loves this house and I know my family will too" I say smiling. "You moving out here for good?" she asks. "Yeah, we are going to be in school here, and Dad is thinking of moving the main office up here from Alabama" I tell her. "If you can get cash I can get the closing done in three days" she says. "I know I can get a funds transfer from my bank to the seller's account if they'll go for it" I tell her. "If you get the money to them today, and waive the inspection, you can have it tomorrow" Dorothy says. "I'll do it, I can afford to fix it if it needs it, and I know our butler will want the kitchen redone anyway" I tell her. She hands me a paper with the info on the seller's bank account, and I call my bank and have the sales price transferred, and I ask Dorothy what her commission and the fees will be. "I have to charge for the work I'll be doing at home tonight" She says. I hand her a signed check filled out except the amount.. "I trust you" I tell her laughing. "I will talk to our relocation people, and if we do move the main branch here, then I am sure they'll want to use you after you helped me the way you did" I tell her. She kisses me full on the mouth. "And you couldn't have been easier to work with if you tried" she says. "Jesse, get Rory out of the pool if you can" I have a lot of calls to make, so we need to go back to the hotel" I tell him. Dorothy hands me a couple of copies of the sales flyers. I go back into the yard, and I tell Jorge to give me his estimate on the Japanese garden, and tell him I'll give him a signed contract for the landscaping, and to name his own price."You obviously have tended this place lovingly and well, and I would be a fool not to keep you here at any cost" I add. "I will get it done and let you know on Monday" he says. I give him my cell number and shake his paw.

I tell Rory to go around the yard to the front and wait. I hug Dorothy and tell her to call me if she has any problems. Beau hugs me. "I love this house" he says grinning. We get in the rental car and go back to the hotel.

I call Dad when we get there. I fax him the sales flyer and I tell him about the house. I tell him we're taking possession tomorrow afternoon. "Looks like a nice place, Son" he says. "It's more than big enough for us" He adds. "You never know, once we start making friends, we may have a lot of people living with us" I tell him smiling, and we talk about what we'll do to the place. Joe Allison calls me and tells me Dad has requested Eagle One back for a quick trip. I tell him I'm fine with it. I am curious but I know Dad, he won't tell me. Beau and Rory tell Jesse and I that we'll stay for several days more, but once we get things going that we should go back to Alabama for a while. "I want to go see my parents" Beau tells me. "Jesse, I hope you can swim, as I know we won't keep Rory out of that pool for long" I tease him. He laughs. Alfred calls me, and asks me a lot of questions about the house. He's seen the flier and he's curious. "Remind your Dad when he gets there that if you own the house now and we move that he will need to transfer my contract to you" Alfred says. "He's coming out?" I ask Alfred. "He wants to see the new house, and he's got something important to discuss with you and Rory, Master Claude" Alfred tells me. I know he knows what it is but he won't tell me. "They will come to the Desk and we'll call you to come down" they tell me. I call and I order four pizzas. We have drinks in the mini bar. Rory asks me for some salad and I order a couple. "I wonder what he wants to talk to us about?" Rory asks me. "I don't know but we'll find out soon" I tell him. We sit on the balcony and speculate on what Dad wants besides seeing the house. (Turns out we're not even close to figuring it out)

I hear a knock at the door, and Dad comes in and Uncle Harry is with him. Dad looks very nervous, and Harry is his usual joyous self. Harry picks up a piece of pizza and he sits on the couch and eats it. I ask Dad if he wants some coffee. He nods. I brew some and I make him a cup when it's brewed. "I want to see the house tomorrow when you get the keys, Son" Dad says. And he goes silent. I can't ask him what he wants because then he'd know I'd been told he wanted to talk to me.
