Lovin' a Feline
Chapter 9: Next Battle
Author's notes: Before we start, I will just start to whoever is trolling with the same comment over and over again, day after day without a break, you're wasting your time. Especially with this last bit, "So stop being a crybaby. Your ideas are not canon and never will be. You would just ruin the Star Fox fandom."
They then went on to bitch, complain, and moan again with ending with, "They are not canon, and no matter what you do or say, they will never be canon, and they are only the creation of a retarded and stupid mind like yours. Marcus is not canon and he is just as useless as you."
Then the struck once more for the last chapter: Wolf x Luna is a stupid couple and Luna is a b*** and a mari-su, and for sure a character that is a reflection of her creator. Wolf deserves someone better who is b*** than Luna. Luna is a horrible character, the most compatible with her would be Andrew and Pigma. Falco x Katt, Panther x Miyu, Bill x Fay is not canon and never will b
They also went on to call me pathetic. That I can't say anything isn't canon and that I would ruined the franchise by filling them with forced and meaningless couples. That nothing I do can change this or will make it so.
They have even gone on to attack me and my love for Loona, including my hellhound self and her once again on DA and even do that cowardly shit of changing the numbers in their username. And looking at my block list? The nobody's done this at least 14 times.
So when it comes to the series Star Fox, it's more you are yourself with both ruining the Star Fox Fandom and you being useless like your comments. You are one random nobody compared to others who are loving and liking what I'm doing. I'm not doing anything wrong. You are and clearly don't see it like how Luna isn't a reflection of me along with Ben who is with Lucy Hare. Plus let's go over the word retard. It means being born a certain way, born a certain level. But let's step back and look, seeing all those with disabilities, be it physical or mental, not only rising up and beating the odds, proving they can do it. Like having a love so deep that normal people can't even begin to understand, or say be in the Olympics in a wheel chair, or getting law degrees. I'm sorry, that's not retarded, that's advanced. And as for stupid minds, let's remind ourselves, who first came up with the idea of Fox and then throwing in hints he and Krystal love each other? Uh, that would be the minds of Nintendo. So are you going to put them on the attack list too? As well as the ones who support and love me for what I do? And somehow others can say their own fucked up shit is canon and yet when I do something wholesome, right, and loving, somehow I'm in the wrong? Because it's not what many do? And who says those who are fans, who truly get the franchise and love it for what it's really for will ruin it? There are examples where it has succeeded and things have become canon. So don't act like somehow I'm the only fan who would ruin shit at all. And don't say how I make the true couples work forced and meaningless. It makes a lot more fucking sense then most of what's out there. You just can't see it and I don't pity you. You are blind dumb fuck and don't deserve respect or understanding.
As for Loona of Helluva Boss; you have gone and not only attacked me again for being who I am. So what if I love Loona to the point I would fight and die for her? She is real to me. And yes, I know she won't walk out of my computer screen like anyone else in the franchises I love and fight and support for. But fuck it; she like many others are still real to me as being parts of what I love and many being from my childhood and still enjoy now as an adult. Can't say the same for you; you're acting like an immature 5 year old who's never going to change or get better. I can tell you what's not going to happen and that's not stopping what I love and want to see.
All of this proves the points I stated last chapter. So somehow I'm the retard and stupid one? I don't think so as my level of love for these characters, series, and not just them but other characters and series is one that is pure and bright. It's something many are not going to be able to understand and probably never will. But there are those that do get it and love what I'm doing. They mater, you don't. If I was stupid and a retard I would not only be able to write at all, by that I mean even type or make words, but also give up on this by listening to you worthless shit. I have my life which is good, I have people who support and love me. But you who are alone, just attacking like this, and seems like a miserable bitch with their life not in control and in a shitty situation who can't write, do anything, or try to do art? You're the one who's with a fucking retarded and stupid mind. There is no fucking way in hell I'll ever give up or stop what I'm doing. And there's going to be a lot more for other franchises that I love including this one. And if you attack them too and for what I love, it all goes back to my points being true. Please, you like other troll creeps will saying anything to make yourselves feel better. You're just trash shit scum and known it because you can't think for yourselves and make anything or do anything useful, or even spell correctly. So you shouldn't talk, you make yourself sound and look stupid.

A little bit of time had now passed. Nicholas and Fara McCoy were back from their honeymoon and things had pretty much gone settled down for all the teams. Now plans for Miyu and Panther's wedding began to be figured out and discussed. This was because even though Wolf and Luna were engaged too, the other couple had been for a bit longer so it was only fair they were going next. That was fine with the wolves as they could also figure things out for their wedding a bit and get ideas from Panther and Miyu's special day. Everyone else was happy for these four and supported it all the way. In the meantime while the planning was going on, a little switch up for the teams had happened. Katt and Falco decided to stick with Star Flight for a bit for a different feel. Nicholas and Fox had talked it over being team leaders and agreed to this and now in the present, it found all the teams back on the mother ships in space in case any new jobs or something came up. And on the big ship Star Flight called home in Katt's room, she and Falco were stirring as it was morning and time to rise up. It was him who opened his eyes first. The avian instantly felt the warm, soft, and nude form of the pink feline on his naked one due to having made passionate love a few times the night before. Falco glanced down with a smirk to see her stirring. Katt then opened her blue-colored eyes and got a happy smile on her muzzle. The female's head turned in order to look up and into the eyes of her one and only. "Mmmmmm... good morning Falcy..." the feline purred with love and lust, her eyes matching to reflect her mood.
"Morning my lovely little kitty," he replied with a happy smirk, wrapping his wings around her body that was all his only. The couple in love had a loving kiss.
"So... you sleep well?" she asked after they pulled back. Katt trailed one finger down Falco's pecs, her tone and look not changing in the slightest when replying to him.
"Mhmm... How could I not since you rocked my world last night...?"
"And you were amazing too..." The feline began to purr with happiness, rubbing her head against her avian boyfriend and love.
"So... what shall we do this morning?" he asked, getting a smirk as Falco knew a perfect way to begin the day with his girlfriend and love of his life.
"Oh I don't know..." Katt replied playfully, looking at her one and only with a lustful smile and tone to match. "Maybe just stay in bed...?"
"Nah, I need to get up," the avian answered. "But not without a shower first. You wanna join?"
The feline nodded in agreement and they had another kiss. The female then rose up, slowly and teasingly taking one of her birth control pills dry before grabbing the tube of lube from the bedside table. Seeing Katt's nude form like this got Falco hard and wanting her again so badly. The male got up from their bed and the next thing the pink furred female knew was that she had been swept up into his arm. "HEY!" Katt exclaimed with a laugh, legs kicking playfully, and tail swishing.
"Now I can see why Fox says Krystal loves it when he does this to her," Falco said as he carried his feline to the bathroom and the lights were turned on.
"Oh?" the female asked, her arms around his neck and her head nuzzling her avian. "You gonna do this more?"
"What the hell, why not?" Katt just found his mouth with love and the two made out, stumbling into the shower. This was far better for both of them, but especially the feline. She never needed to be with another female, to be in a threesome or orgy, and certainly not be fucked by another male like those from Star Wolf, or Slippy because of some fucked up day for the toad when that amphibian had Amanda only. The water was turned on with the pink feline being fucked silly by the only being she loved with all her heart and made to be with her.
The couple in love emerged some time later, drying the other off before changing into regular clothes. Then with his wing holding her paw, the feline and avian made it to the main living area of the Star Flight mother ship. It acted as a living room and commons area. To their surprise, they found Star Wolf was here along with the rest of Star Flight but Bill and Fay. Even Dash was here too. "What the...?" Falco began as he and his girl looked at the scene.
"Hey you two, you're just in time," Lucy told them. She was happily holding hands with her one and only Ben. After all, she didn't need any other female or male or thing, especially not to be in a threesome or orgy. This included being in a fucked up situation with Slippy for some fucked up day for him.
"Why? What's going on?" Katt asked.
"Wolf and Luna are gonna be babysitting Sam," Ben explained to the feline and avian.
"Wait really?" Falco asked, surprised as his girlfriend.
"Yeah, let's watch just in case."
All four turned their attention to the two wolves who were on the main sofa with little Sam in his carrier and the pup asleep. "Okay, you ready for this?" Wolf's fiancé asked him.
"No, but let's do it," he replied, looking to the little one a bit worried.
"Don't worry honey. You've got me and the rest here to help if anything goes wrong. I'm sure you'll do fine." The lupine felt better hearing that and smiled at the love of his life.
Wolf then turned his attention to little Sam who began to stir and move. The lupine wasn't sure if the pup was just moving because of sleep. Sam then settled down as being of about three months of age, the little one still slept a lot. "Huh... guess he's not so bad..." Wolf commented to Luna. "That's to be expected since he's asleep."
"Oh?" the she wolf asked with a teasing grin. "And what if he wakes up? You're not getting cold feet on me now, are you?"
"Not a chance, pup," the male replied without missing a beat and using one of Luna's pet nicknames.
Wolf then looked a little uncertain with what to do next. Then whether it was by instinct to go to the next step or something, the lupine hesitantly reached with a finger but then pulled back. His fiancé noticed his actions and smiled. "Did you want to touch Sam to see how it feels?" Luna encouraged Wolf in a tone to match.
"I... I'm not sure..." he replied.
"Here, watch me dear..." The she wolf took her right index finger and with a touch as soft as a pillow, placed it on Sam's tiny forehead. The baby didn't awake at all. "See? Just like this honey."
The lupine nodded and then took a turn after she pulled her finger back. His index digit made contact with the pup. "Wow... he's much softer than I thought..." Wolf whispered.
"Babies are that Wolf. And you're doing great."
Wolf removed his finger and looked down with a small smile. "Well... He certainly looks to be at peace," the lupine stated. "Though for how long is a different story...."
"If he does wake up, just watch what I do," Luna told him with a smile. "You're new to this after all, I won't put so much on you the first time."
"Thanks babe." The two had a peck on the lips.
"Huh... guess Wolf's doing an okay job," Falco said to Katt as he and her looked on at this.
"I wonder what made him want to try something like this," the feline wondered.
"Me and Lucy can answer that," Ben answered. "It's for a few reasons, but the main one is because the night Wolf and Luna got engaged, she kinda blurted out about wanting kids with him and how he's not sure about them."
"Really?" Falco replied. "How the hell do you know that?"
"We we're there when she and Wolf talked to Bill and Fay," the male hare replied, thinking back to the day it happened.
X
"Wait... hold on, you two want to what now?" the male bulldog asked the engaged wolf couple while standing in living room area of the Star Flight mother ship. Fay was by her husband's side and holding little Sam in her arms. Lucy and Ben were peeping around a corner and eavesdropping.
"We're offering to babysit Sam so you and Fay can take a break," Wolf said but carefully as this might get ugly with Bill and Fay's reactions.
The mother poodle clung to her son a little bit tighter, looking very uncertain about the idea. Even Bill had a concerned look on his face. "I'm sorry, it wasn't my fiancé's idea," Luna then said. "It was mine..."
"Yours?" the poodle asked, a little curious and confused. "What do you mean Luna?"
The she wolf blushed a little while getting a sheepish look on her muzzle. "I uh... kinda blurted it out to my darling Wolf that I wanted kids with him..." Luna whispered in a rush.
"Yeah, but I'm not certain of them in general," her fiancé commented to save the she wolf from embarrassment. "So... we figured if I can handle babysitting Sam, then it shouldn't be a problem for us having kids."
There was a long silence and one could tell the gears in Bill and Fay's heads were turning. "I... I don't know..." the poodle finally replied, looking to her one and only who was her husband. The bulldog had a frown and was clearly thinking like his wife.
"It's... it's a hard decision to make," he told the engaged wolves. "On one hand I want to help you two, but this is me and Fay's son we're talking about here..."
"What if we had Nicholas and Fara in the same room to keep an eye out just in case?" Luna suggested. The two parents still didn't say anything but were now clearly thinking it over. Bill and Fay certainly trusted those two foxes with their child.
"I promise I'm going to make sure nothing happens to Sam," Wolf stated to the bulldog and his poodle wife. "Plus... If I don't try this I'll never know. And I'm not about to run away from it like a coward. And if it happens to my Luna for some reason if she becomes pregnant with my child, I'd rather have an idea of what to expect instead of being caught unaware. And I'm sure you two needs breaks from Sam at times."
The gears in the two parent's heads were still turning. Bill and Fay did need a small break from Sam for a day or two. Plus Nicholas and Fara would be there to make sure nothing bad happened. Wolf had also made a good speech on his end as well. The bulldog finally spoke. "Well... I guess with all things considered, then I suppose me and Fay can trust Sam with you two." He looked to his wife as the poodle had to make the final verdict.
"I can't help but feel worried and nervous," she stated. "I'm holding my first child I've ever had after all." Fay then smiled at Wolf and Luna. "But even so, I couldn't just leave a friend and teammate out to dry. Plus you made some good points and just like me and Bill here know you two are perfect for the other and might have kids one day, practicing now would be a good time."
Luna and Wolf let out a breath that had been held in their bodies without realizing this. "Thank you," the she wolf told the parents with a smile. "I promise me and my fiancé will do well." The time was arranged and agreed upon. Nicholas and Fara were for it with helping Luna and Wolf by keeping an eye on them just in case so Bill and Fay could be at ease.
X
Back in the present, Ben and Lucy finished explaining to Falco and Katt what had happened. "Huh... who would have thunked?" the avian said with a shrug.
"It shows people can change," his feline girlfriend told her guy. "I mean look at where we are Falcy." Katt got a happy smile on her face, tail swishing.
"True." The four then turned their attention back to Sam and what was going on with the pup.
Sam in his little carrier then began to stir and Wolf got a worried look on his face. "Is he waking up?" the lupine asked Luna.
"I think he might be," the she wolf answered. "Luckily, the stuff needed for that situation is right here."
At her feet were all the things Sam needed being held in a neat bag. Everyone else gathered was watching to see what was going to happen. The little one then stirred some more before opening his eyes. "Hello Sam..." Luna cooed softly. "It's your aunt Luna here..."
The she wolf and pup had interreacted before so Sam knew the female's face. Sam had yet to meet Wolf though. The little pup then turned his tiny head to the lupine and clearly saw the bigger male. To everyone's surprise and then delight, the little one didn't cry but instead broke into a baby grin and cute laugh, clearly interested in Wolf. Sam clearly had no sense of fear and began to make cute noises. The lupine was stunned. "Is... is this actually happening?" he asked, not believing that Sam wasn't scared of him at all.
"No, it's real dear," Luna told him and picked Sam up in her arms. The pup began to reach out to the lupine. "See? He likes you."
"Huh... I thought I would scare him away with my mug or something."
Sam began to make more cute noises, clearly bent on touching Wolf. Nicholas and Fara who were watching to the side then had a quick conversation. His wife began to record moments of Wolf and Luna with Sam to show to Bill and Fay later on her phone. Meanwhile Sam had managed to touch Wolf's cheek and the little pup let out a happy laugh. It was such a noise that the lupine couldn't help but smile. "Would you like to hold him?" Luna then asked.
Wolf got an uncertain look on his muzzle. "Um... I think I'll pass," he replied. "I don't want to push my luck babe."
The she wolf nodded in understanding. "Well at least see how I'm holding him so you'll know next time, okay?" Her love and fiancé nodded in understanding and paid attention to how his only love was using her arms to cradle Sam.
"Awww... that's actually really cute to see," Katt said to Falco, seeing Wolf get close to his Luna like it was two parents with their child. The feline's avian just shrugged as Falco really didn't have anything else to say.
Just then a new being entered into the room. It was one of the three robots that Star Flight had to help around with things like medical, repairs, information, and whatever else was needed. "Nicholas, you've got an incoming message," this one told the leader of Star Flight. The design for the robot looked like a more hi-tech looking ROB from Star Fox, but had four arms instead of two. In addition the main platting color was a combination of brass and silver. But the metal was made to allow this being to even be useful in battle. His eye color was blue and rounded to be more normal than ROB's.
"Got it Wire, I'll be there," the part Cerinian replied before turning to his wife Fara. "Keep an eye on them and watch for me, okay babe?"
"Of course dear," she cooed to her husband and they had a loving kiss before Nicholas left with Wire.
Luna then looked up and saw Falco and Katt had entered here. "Oh there you two are," the she wolf stated. Her fiancé jumped a little before glaring at the avian, daring him to say anything.
"We just came in to be honest," the feline replied.
"Say where are Bill and Fay?" Falco then asked. "Are they on the ship?"
"They are just in case we need them in case an attack happens," Fara answered. "My husband thinks there might be a chance of one."
"Really? From what?" Panther asked.
"Not what, but whom. The Eternal Halo."
"Are you kidding?" Falco replied with a smirk. "We kicked their asses last time!"
"Yes. But don't forget what the one leading the attack said," Fara replied.
"Oh... Yeah I do actually," the avian then replied and got a frown on his beak. "Didn't they say we'd be seeing them again soon or something?"
"They did. Plus also calling me and the others whores or something." Fara and the rest of the females, including the males didn't look happy at that. "I don't know who they think they are, but I've never, nor will I ever bet that. I'm Nicholas's wife and I'm not leaving him for anyone or anything."
"Yeah, I don't like the sound of that either," Panther stated. "My Miyu here is not just another object, she's my love and darling that I love very much. She's mine only and soon-to-be wife."
"Mmmm... you sweet talker," the lynx purred happily and nuzzled her fiancé with her head. "That's one of the things I love about you..." The jungle cat wrapped an arm around her.
"Well if they do come back, they'll be dealing with more this time," Wolf stated.
Just then an alarm broke the silence. And this was the one that signaled the team needed to scramble and move cause there was an attack. Many here jumped and the sudden noise disturbed Sam who began to whimper in Luna's arms. "What the hell?!" Falco asked.
"Everyone, get to your ships!" came Nicholas's voice on the communication speaker that was part of the system to contact those anywhere on the mother ship of Star Flight. "We've got a distress call of an attack! And it's Eternal Halo again!"
"Looks like he was right with them coming back!" Cody commented as everyone began to run out of the living area.
"Then it's time to kick some tails again!" Falco stated. ]
"Luna, contact Bill and Fay; we need to get Sam back to them!" Wolf barked to his fiancé.
"On it!" she replied, managing to hold Sam in a reassuring and loving way while getting her phone out.
The pilots made their way to the hanger where the fighters were. It was here that they ran into Bill and Fay. From the looks of things, the bulldog and his poodle wife had been in their room and spending some quality alone time together due to how hastily their clothes had been thrown on. The married couple were still trying to adjust themselves to be a bit more acceptable looking. But there was something else important on their minds. "Where's Sam?!" Fay exclaimed and sick with worry. "Where's my son?!"
"He's right here, just a little disturbed by the noise," Wolf told the mother poodle and Luna handed the pup right on over.
"Shhh... shhh, it's okay..." Fay cooed and soothed her little one in her arms. The pup instantly started settling down feeling and being like this with his mother.
"Mommy and daddy are here," Bill whispered to their little one, both parents feeling very relieved.
"Wait... you two don't look like you're going to fight with us," Cody then said, noticing how Bill and Fay seemed to be in normal clothing and not their flight suits.
"For this one, we're going to sit it out," the bulldog answered. "Me and Fay will be in the main control area with Sam."
"We'll be watching and if need be firing the main guns on this ship," the poodle added.
"Sounds good to me," went a familiar voice. Everyone looked to see Nicholas had arrived. "I'll leave it up to you two and Wire, Robert, and Jazz to keep an eye on things during this." The second and third names were the ones that belonged to the other robots Star Flight had. The way you could tell all three apart were the color of the eyes. While Wire had blue ones, Robert had green ones, while Jazz had yellow ones.
"Leave it to us," Bill replied. "We'll even shoot any enemies down from the main control area with the ship's guns if need be."
"Say, where is the ship going and who's flying it?" Falco then asked.
"I left Wire, Robert, and Jazz to navigate the ship to our destination. It's a station in the Metro Section that's under attack."
"How come? Katt asked. "There's not much going on in that part of the Lylat, right?"
"I honestly don't know," the part Cerinian replied. "All I know is that I got a destress call from the station. There might not have been enough time to explain why."
"Last time we had to deal with them weren't we delivering something for Slippy's dad?" his wife Fara asked.
"Oh yeah, it was some kind of hi-tech that was valuable," Falco added.
"Maybe it's the same thing again," Katt suggested.
"Whatever it is, the Eternal Halo must be stopped," Nicholas stated. "I certainly haven't forgotten the last encounter and no matter what their plaining, it can't be good."
"Sounds like their scum and a handful," Wolf commented. "Maybe more."
"Well said my friend," the vulpine told the lupine before looking to Bill and Fay with their son. "We'll be getting there any second so me and the rest out there will be counting on you two."
"Good luck out there," the bulldog replied and both of them left the hanger while the rest got into their ships.
"Well I'm ready for to get out there," Panther commented. He looked to his fiancé Miyu with a grin. "You got my back as always, right babe?"
"You know it stud!" she replied with a wink.
"So everybody ready?" Nicholas asked and the rest here nodded. "Then to the ships!"
It was only one quick ride up to where the pilots could get to the cockpits of their fighters. All of Star Wolf, Falco, Katt, and those fighting in Star Flight were soon in position and turning on the vehicles. Bill and Fay's face from the main control are appeared on the communication screens as those things were green. "We'll be dropping in at any second according to the robots with us," the bull dog told the others.
"Good," the part Cerinian replied. "Also, get a message of what's going on to the others."
"Leave it to us!" Fay told him with a grin.
The mother ship of Star Flight then arrived at the location. "Here we go; launching all ships!" Bill stated.
The vehicles were launched out of the hanger bay and in one swift motion the wings were opened up. "How do we handle this?" Wolf asked to Nicholas.
"Split up into teams," the part Cerinian replied. "Wolf, you take your team, Miyu, and Luna; the rest are with me!"
"I think I'll torment 'em a bit before I cook them!" Leon stated.
"Just don't go sneaking up behind me!" Falco warned the chameleon.
"Heh! Doing you best not to show any weak points, eh?"
"Focus on the task at hand; now's not the time for that!" Fara scolded both of them to the surprise of quiet a few since it wasn't Wolf or Nicholas who said that.
"Fine..." Leon replied with a hiss, but still not looking pleased.
"Damn Fara, I don't recall that side of you," Katt told the wife of Nicholas with amusement.
Wolf smirked at the situation before going back to the situation at hand. "Once we clear the asteroids up ahead, we should see it," the lupine stated. He then focused on his great love Luna and spoke to the she wolf. "You got my back like I've got yours, right?"
"Always," came her reply. "I'll show how much better I've gotten with spending time on your team like what happened on that last mission with the train heist on MacBeth."
Suddenly everyone was surprised as the asteroids ahead began to move towards them. "What the hell?!" Falco asked as it was very unexpected.
"Blast them before they hit us!" Lucy exclaimed. Everyone fired, blowing up the large rocks to tiny bits and pieces.
"That was too easy!" Wolf stated with a smirk once the projectiles were all gone.
After the dust cleared the group could see the station ahead and what they saw made them all look in shock. Some of the females gasped, and even the males in Star Wolf saw the situation was bad. "Not good," Falco said.
"Bill, Fay, you guys get ready to help," Nicholas told the bulldog and poodle who were at the controls of the Star Flight mother ship.
"On it!" Bill replied.
Looking showed the station was being bombarded and attacked by the Eternal Halo forces. The structure itself looked somewhat like the Orbital Gate that had been used against the Aparoids. But this was bigger and had the looks of not only being a place of research but also for living full time on board. While domed in shape, at the cardinal directions were four points that rose up like spiked towers. They had windows and if one was to pull up to them, the pilot could look inside and see what was inside. At the top of each section were rods that were used for communication. Looking showed on certain sections of this station laser fire could be seen from the turrets the thing had for defense. There were also a small fleet of Cornerian fighters that were also defending. But it was clear these things were outgunned by the Eternal Halo attacking force. The group coming in to help could see the fighters on both side weaving and ducking around the station. By this point the Eternal Halo ships that had been encountered before had been labeled as fighters for the main attack force and the others as bombers due to their roles. And not far away were a few of the big ships, just like the one that had appeared during that job. They were the same kind that Falco had managed to punch a hole in the shield it had. This had been labeled as a battle cruiser for the Eternal Halo.
"Alright, let's take it to them!" Nicholas stated and the group split up into their teams.
"This is where the fun begins," Katt said with a grin.
"Switch the ships into All Range Mode!" Nicholas ordered. The wings on the fighters Star Flight used, Falco's Arwing, and the Wolfens's wings moved so the fighters could access their full potential when flying in an open area like this.
Just then an incoming transmission came in on all the screens. It was answered to show a male husky in lab attire and about the same age as Slippy's dad. His eyes got sparks of instant relief the second he saw the faces of the group. "Thank god you got here in time!" he stated. "We wouldn't have held out much longer!"
"Leave everything to us!" the vulpine with yellow hair replied.
"Let's go!" Falco stated and the group split up into their teams.
"Get in before they detect us!"
All the fighter crossed what could be considered the threshold and were in range. "LET 'EM HAVE IT!" Nicholas barked.
The groups fired at once, the lasers finding their marks. Explosions of hot, twisted metal, parts, and wires erupted around the station where Star Flight, Falco, Katt, and Star Wolf had shot down some of the Eternal Halo fighters. And this was enough to cause disarray and confusion among the enemies as they had not been expecting help or a surprise attack for just this mission they were on. "Sir, we've just got hit by Star Flight and Star Wolf!" one of those with the one leading the attack reported in the battle cruiser they were in. "We've lost some of our fighters!"
"WHAT?!?!?!" the one leading roared. "SHOOT THEM DOWN!"
"Yes sir!"
Back out by the station, both groups were taking out one enemy ship after the other. Now that wasn't to say it was easy as some of the opposing pilots were a bit more skilled than some of the others on the same side. "Shit, he's right behind me!" Falco exclaimed as a bomber from the Eternal Halo had targeted him with a couple of regular fighters to defend it.
"Cut to the left, I'll take out the leader!" Lucy told him.
The rabbit veered her ship towards the female hare who destroyed the bomber with a few shots. "Good shot there honey!" Ben complimented his girlfriend.
Meanwhile Wolf had taken out a few more of the enemy ships. "More of them down!" he stated triumphantly, "Ha! That was too easy!"
"Hey now, we can't let him and the others show us up," Miyu commented to Luna with a grin. "Let's kick some ass!"
"Way ahead of you!" the she wolf replied.
Luna locked onto her targets and did a charge shot to get more enemies before letting the shot go. It sailed forward with true aim and decimated the small group. Some more Eternal Halo ships then veered in front to target the female. Luna didn't hesitate and just acted. The female jerked the control stick of her X-Striker hard to the right. This caused the ship to start doing a barrel roll and corkscrew at the same time. This worked to deflect the laser fire from the enemy, just like how Star Fox did in their Arwings. Luna fired again and caused the opposing fighters to break off formation, but some did get hit. "My turn!" the lynx stated.
Miyu went in to mop up whatever she could hit. "Looking good there sexy," her fiancé Panther purred with happiness seeing his one and only in action.
"Let's hope this proves I have what it takes to fight, or starts to at least," Luna commented, knowing of one who thought she was useless unlike those of the teams and those that supported her.
Meanwhile around on the other side of the station, Lucy and Ben had flown there to see if there were more enemy fighters to take out. "More enemies!" the female hare stated.
"Let's show them why you don't fuck with me or you!" her guy commented.
The couple as one fired, destroying one fighter after another before doing a U-turn to double back and check out how things were. "We can cut through these numbers easily!" Falco said after seeing on his radar that the number of enemies was going down.
"Heads up you guys!" Bill then contacted the groups. "Those cruisers are launching more fighters!"
"Should we go after those?" Kira asked Nicholas.
"That might be a bad idea," the part Cerinian answered. "After the last time, the same trick probably won't work twice."
"What do you mean?" Falco replied. "If something's in the way, you just blast it!"
"Sure. That is if you can get pass the defenses."
"Wait... you're saying they might be shielded better?" Katt suggested.
"Give the girlfriend of Falco a prize. You're thinking just like me Katt. My guess is either the shields have been improved, or that weak spot has been fixed on their ships. I would do that if it were me and I got a report a single fighter took down the shield of a battle cruiser like that."
"So you're saying they can't be taken down?" Panther asked Nicholas with a frown.
"Not like how Falco did," the vulpine replied. "But that's where we've got other options."
"I think I know where you're going with this babe," his wife Fara stated and got a grin.
"You know it sugar tits," her husband stated and contacted Bill and Fay on the Star Flight mother ship. "Bring the ship around Bill; target one of the battle cruisers!"
"On it!" came the reply. He and his wife Fay got the mother ship into position to attack.
The married couple at the controls locked onto the nearest battle cruiser the enemy was using. "Target locked," Robert told the poodle and bulldog.
"FIRE!" Bill shouted and the mother ship did so with the main guns she had.
The laser fire flew straight and true and was a direct hit on the target. There was no damage done to the enemy. But inside the battle cruiser, everyone felt the hit and staggered as it was quiet the blow. It was not the same one where the one leading the attack had given the orders once Star Flight had launched their assault. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" a different one leading the forces on this battle cruiser roared. Nobody had been expecting something like this and were caught off guard.
"Sir!" one on board told him after checking the shields. "The mother ship of Star Flight is attacking! We've taken a huge hit and our shields are down by 50 percent!"
"GET ME IN CONTACT WITH OUR LEADER LEADING THIS ATTACK AT ONCE!"
The call was made and the one leading the attack was even more pissed when told what had happened. "We have no choice," they stated. "Unleash the Wraiths!"
Back out in space, the teams had managed to mop up most of the fighters. "Did we get them all?" Cody asked.
"Seems like it," his girl Kira replied and scanning to see most of the fighters and bombers were gone. All that were left were the battle cruisers the enemy used.
The team then got an incoming transmission. It was from the husky scientist that had contacted them before. "Great work all of you!" the canine stated happily. "Now, just-"
Suddenly the image became distorted. "Wait, someone's jamming the signal!" Lucy stated. "It's...!"
The image of the scientist then was replaced by a different one, a nasty looking ape. It was the one leading this attack. But strangely this male primate looked a lot like he had been one of Andross's forces in terms of appearances. "You dare raise your paw against us Star Flight and Star Wolf?!" he exclaimed with anger. "Now you will all perish!"
The transmission was then cut. "Who the hell was that?" Falco asked.
Suddenly on the mother ship of Star Flight, the two canines and robots noticed new signals pop up on the system. "Warning! Warning!" Jazz warned everyone. "New enemies detected!"
"Wait, what?!" Nicholas exclaimed.
"They are coming from cruisers! A new type of fighter!"
Looking showed what was being said was true. Like the bomber and fighter the enemy used, the color scheme for this new ship was the same including the symbol being on the body. However this was shaped differently. The main body was square in shape but the cockpit and end was pointed and slanted. The back end looked very much like a pyramid while the cockpit was more triangle in shape. The wings were more on the sides and slanted, rather than sticking out, at 45 degree angles and in a downwards direction in the slant. On these were the guns, two on each side for a total of four. They were going about the same speed one of the enemy fighters could but looking at these showed they appeared to be tougher in terms of how much damage they could do. The symbol of the Eternal halo was on top of the cockpit. Even with just a few cruisers the Eternal Halo were using, the amount of new ships was staggering. "What... how in the hell?!" Falco asked.
"Heads up everyone; we've got to take as many of them down!" Nicholas stated.
Fay then reported into the teams. "Listen all of you," she warned and gravely. "Just scanning them shows they're not like the fighters and bombers. They have a lot more firepower and seem to be the heavy attackers. If they do enough damage, you guys will go down and the station too."
"They're everywhere! There's too many!" Cody exclaimed.
"Don't start sounding like a coward now, Cody!" Wolf told the otter. "Leave the ones closet to my group to us!"
"Well said!" Nicholas agreed. "My group will take out whatever we can hit! Fay and Bill; you two keep targeting those cruisers!"
"Time to show up the bird brain and prove I'm better!" Leon stated.
"Great..." Falco said sarcastically as the avian knew the reptile was talking about him. "The lizard-boy Leon's showing off."
"Oh Falco honey, don't mind him," Falco's girl Katt purred to her darling. "Just fly and help me shoot these enemies down."
Just then the scientist from before contacted the groups. "Just do whatever it takes!" the husky told them. "We'll do all we can on our end!"
Bill then noticed the battle cruisers of the enemy were starting to move into attack position. "Not good!" the bulldog barked. "Help me take 'em out Fay!"
"You got it babe!" his wife replied. Their son in the main control area was then reassured by his daddy that everything would be okay.
While those two began to prepare to attack the last one they had hit, the other fighters on the teams and the remaining ones had grouped up to take on these new enemies. The station laser turrets for defense were firing too as best as they could. "All Cornerian fighters gather to me; let's take them out!" Nicholas ordered. Due to the husky scientist, the communication channel was available for all ships on the side of good.
"Right with ya boss!" came one of the replies from a dog solider, a German Shepard and clearly leading the forces as with all the enemies. The guy was grateful for orders as right now he was overwhelmed.
"Time to show these fuckers who's boss!" Falco exclaimed.
Dash Bowman hadn't said a word this whole time and had just been fighting with Star Flight. But now he spoke. "I see an opening!" the primate stated. "I'm going in!"
"Right behind you!" Cody told the primate. Kira joined her guy too.
The three did go in and selecting the targets fired. But to their surprise, they noticed it took more than a shot or two to blow these things up. "That armor they've got is tough!" Kira said.
"Try a charge shot!" Dash suggested.
Cody locked onto one of the enemy ships and did charge up his laser before firing. The shot flew straight and true. Upon impact, not only did the attack hit and cause the Wraith to go down, due to the nature of the charge shot, the others were hit and began to spiral out of control. All of them blew up in fireballs of hot twisted shards of metal. "That got 'em!" Kira exclaimed with a grin.
"Yeah I see it; good work there!" Nicholas told the three and began to use charge shots as well. He knew the bombs his fighter carried should be saved as each X-Striker ship only carried four each. Sure, they were refilled after each battle but until then, him and the rest who piloted such a ship had a limited amount of them.
Meanwhile the one leading the enemy forces called for an update. "Did we get 'em?!" he asked.
"Not yet sir!" one of those in here with him replied.
Back out in space, Luna had found another chance to show her stuff again despite what some said about her. But the she wolf wasn't going to go in it alone. "Shall we Wolf?" she asked her fiancé.
"Let's dance babe," he replied to the only female for him.
The two did a barrel roll and began firing at the enemy. This technique sent a spray of laser fire at the opposing fighters. It was to be noted this had been worked on as it was not easy to hit something and move the ship like this. And this move had been one of the hardest for Luna to master. The she wolf had gotten frustrated at points and even yelled out to vent her anger to not keep it bottled up. However, those who worked with her, but especially Wolf on this, were patient as they knew what had been like to be a rookie. Everyone started somewhere. But for the lupine, he could see that the she wolf was willing to do anything to learn this, even if that meant going through bleeding to get this down. It was also wanting for Luna to succeed in general and due to love as well. But after many hours, days, and even a few months of hard work and dedication, Luna had managed to get it. Then it was onto perfecting the technique. Now the she wolf could do this move in her sleep, especially with her fiancé by her side. Of course Luna wasn't the only one who had trouble with this move and there were some she had picked up right away while others had needed to go through a bit of struggle to get down.
The shots from the wolf couple showed that this was another way to take the Wraiths down as despite needing more hits, even these weren't invincible. But now the fight was about to get tougher as the enemy was beginning to focus their attention on the teams, not just the station and the defending forces. "Looks like we got their attention this time!" Miyu stated.
"They're not going to get me that easily," Panther growled, his upper lip pulled back in a snarl. "And they're not shooting you down Miyu."
"Let's light it up!" the lynx replied.
While Star Wolf began to deal with whatever enemy fighter they could shot at, the other group had split in half to cover more ground. Meanwhile Bill and Fay had gotten into position for attack. "Care to do the honors?" the bulldog asked his wife with a grin.
The poodle got an evil grin. "Locked and loaded!" she stated.
The mother ship of Star Flight fired two shots, right on target. The first managed to reduce the shields of the battle cruiser to zero. The second tore right in the middle of the enemy ship. Due to how much damage and where the shot hit, it was enough to cause the cruiser to start exploding before bursting into a fireball of destruction. The Wraiths that were pouring out of it also got caught up in the blast and a number blew up, but a few made it out. "Sir; we've lost one of our cruisers!" one of those who reported on the ship that had the leader leading the attack reported.
"MOTHER FUCKERS!" the ape yelled. "BLAST THAT PIECE OF SHIT OUT OF SPACE!!!"
Meanwhile the teams fighting noticed thanks to that, the amount of Wraiths had been reduced by a good chunk. But they also noticed the Star Flight mother ship was then being targeted. "Defend our ship!" Nicholas barked. "Don't let even a single enemy scratch her!"
"They're not even gonna breath on that ship!" Miyu stated.
"Form up, all fighters on me!"
Even the Cornerian ships here defending fell into line. That mean the station wasn't being targeted and allowed them to fire their guns used for defense at the cruisers to try to do any damage. "Looks like help is on the way," Bill told his wife at the Star Flight mother ship control room. "Let's see if we can take out as many of the enemy too!"
The two then began to diverge power to the guns and then started to fire at the incoming Wraiths to start. Which such a powerful ship, it only took one shot to destroy some before the small fighters scattered. "Good work; now target the cruisers!" Nicholas told them. "That really shook the enemy pilots up!"
"Let's give them hell!" Katt stated.
"Locked and loaded!" Dash commented.
No mercy was shown, no quarter given. The one leading the attack appeared to like he was going to have a heart attack, he was that pissed. "FIRE! FIRE!" he ordered. "DON'T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS!"
Thanks to the other fighters, Bill and Fay could then focus on the remaining cruisers and take them out. "Have the ship fire the shots needed so they can't counter," the bulldog told his wife.
"No problem, then you can do the honors hun," she replied with a grin and set the guns to do just that.
In no time at all, the next target had been selected. "FIRE!" Bill shouted and launched the shots. Three came out in perfect timing to target the next cruiser. That ship had no way to avoid the attack and was hit, the first taking out half the shield, the second taking out the remaining percent, and the third tearing right through the vehicle. It was enough damage the thing ended up blowing up, not only eliminating another supplier of Wraths, but also causing another major target to be taken out.
"Good shot, keep it up to them!" Falco told the canines in the mother ship after seeing the explosion.
The enemy was really now in disarray. It didn't seem like they could touch the teams and those on the side of good. But that was about to change after the last cruiser was blown up and only the one where the one leading the attack was left. "They just took out the last cruiser!" the one in charge was told.
"CAN NOTHING STOP THESE FUCKERS?!?!" the one leading the attack shrieked. The primate knew there was no other choice. "DAMN! DEPLOY IT NOW!"
Out in space the fighters and those on the side of good saw that the enemy was down to one battle cruiser. "Well done; looks like we're just about finished!" Katt said.
"Now just the leader," Nicholas stated. "Let's show why you don't fuck with us."
Just then in the Star Flight mother ship, the robots and canines there picked up on a new signal. "What the hell...?!" Bill asked when seeing it.
"Guys, something's coming by wrap!" Fay warned everyone.
"Another enemy?!" Falco exclaimed with a groan.
Suddenly all the ships on the side of good got a beeping notification. "Wait, someone's trying to contact!" Panther stated. It was answered just as a warp gate appeared nearby the station, being very similar to what had been used in the Aparioid war. Only the color of this was red. It was answered to reveal another primate. But to the shock of a few, this male looked very similar to the warlord that had been fought in the war against Andross, the one who had piloted the powerful Shogun. The only difference was his hair and skin color was a darker shade of tan. The only thing different for the helmet was that instead of Andross's logo it had the Eternal Halo symbol on it. But he sure sounded like the same being when speaking.
"Don't party just yet!" Suddenly something came flying out of the warp hole.
"It's time to try out the new Eternal Halo weapon!" the new enemy started.
What appeared was some kind of mech due to the fact it looked like ones that had been seen and fought before. It had two legs with pointed feet and a right and left arm. The main color scheme was a somewhat dark grey. The jet propulsions to move this thing were on the back. The right arm was more shaped to be like a canon to fire laser shots with a few purple colored spikes. But the left arms had a few long sharp spikes on it to act as a blunt like weapon. These were a mixture of orange and yellow. Three larger versions of these were on the back. On the parts of the back that would be where the shoulder blades would be if this were a living being were rotating structures in the shape of wings, one on each side. These were to allow for greater flight maneuverability. And for the head was a green orb surrounded by light purple colored plating. This thing was much bigger than any mech the group has fought before. But what shocked Nicholas and a couple of the others the most when looking at the enemy was that on the body and arms there were markings. And they were exactly like the ones Krystal's staff had. It meant only one thing. "Wait; that thing's got Cerinian technology on it!" the leader of Star Flight stated.
"What?!" Falco exclaimed. Even the avian was aware of that race due to Krystal explaining about her people to him and the others in Star Fox.
"How is that possible?!" Katt asked as she also knew too having worked with Star Fox and getting to know the vixen as a friend and nothing more.
A number at this had their minds racing, just like during the first fight against the Eternal Halo. "Who are these guys really?" Luna asked.
"The only way to get answers is to capture that thing," Nicholas said, figuring out who he wanted to help. Due to the size of the mech, it was going to take more than two pilots to deal with this threat. "Fara, Luna, Wolf, Falco, Katt; on me! We're capturing the mech and pilot. The rest of you mop up the remaining enemies. Bill and Fay; you two make sure you get footage of this. We need to have it to show as part of the proof."
"Got it!" the bulldog replied.
"Give them hell for us!" Miyu told the six.
"Don't worry and do what you gotta do!" Dash stated.
"We'll take care of things here," Panther added.
The six who were gonna take on the mech flew in to attack. They were spotted by the enemy pilot. "I'll take you guys out from here!" he stated and the thing moved in to attack.
"Scatter!" Wolf barked when seeing the enemy starting to shot with the right arm canon.
"This won't do; can you and Fay find a weak point?" Luna contacted Bill and his poodle wife.
"It's gonna take a bit but it can be done!" came the reply from the female canine.
"Alright, let's just engage and try to stay alive!" Nicholas stated.
"I'm coming for ya!" the one piloting the mech then taunted.
The enemy machine pulled it arms in and then threw them back, bringing out four round orbs that matched the main body's color scheme. Each one began to fire a single shot each to target the fighters while the main guns on the mech were fired too. "You gotta be kidding!" Falco squawked.
These new things that were firing moved independently of the main body. "Shoot 'em down!" Wolf barked.
"I'm on it!" Luna said. "Cover me Fara!"
"I've got your back!" the wife of Nicholas replied.
The two ladies flew in, doing some barrel rolls to deflect the shots. Despite this making it hard to aim and shoot, the she wolf and vixen had trained hard for something like this. The X-wings fired and were able to destroy the targets. The other four pilots were flying, and trying to find a weak spot. "Hold still and let me shoot you!" Falco said angrily.
The enemy mech raised its right arm up and fired a new type of projectile. They were missels, quite a few, enough for three to target each fighter. These things came shrieking in, or would have made that sound if these things were being fired where there was atmosphere. "Missiles! Pull up!" Katt stated.
The six moved out of the way of the projectiles as there wasn't any time to fire, they were coming in that fast. But it wasn't over yet and they either saw when looking back or seeing it on their monitors. "Ugh, the kind that seek one out!" Wolf growled. That meant these were guided things that picked up on ship heat signatures and kept following their target until either the missiles were destroyed or made contact.
"What's wrong?" the enemy pilot taunted the six. "Is that it?"
Just you wait asshole," Nicholas growled.
"Cut to the left Wolf, I'll take them out!" Luna told her lupine love.
He did as his fiancé asked and the she wolf took in a breath, and then let it out while targeting the missiles and concentrating. As the female let the breath out, she fired with her X-Wing. This had taken training to do, an exercise to help focus in the heat of battle. Two of the shots were right on target, the third hitting the final projectile and doing enough damage to cause it to explode. "Okay, I'm free to help now!" the lupine stated with a grin. And with both of their help, the rest of the missiles were destroyed.
Just then Bill and Fay contacted the team. "We got the weak point!" the bulldog informed them. "But it looks like you'll need to somehow take off the armor that thing has. I don't think regular shots from the ships are gonna do it."
"I think we might have a way to deal with that," Fara replied and got an evil grin.
"If the missels don't work, we've got the bombs," Nicholas added, also getting a grin.
"First things first; deal with these damn missiles!" Luna growled.
"I'm coming for ya!" the enemy pilot then contacted the six and targeted the she wolf with his mech.
"Look out!" Katt exclaimed just as the mech fired. Luna moved and was barely able to avoid taking a direct hit. But her fighter had taken a hit.
"Are you alright?!" Wolf asked, the one and only being and female he needed causing him to worry in this moment.
"I'm fine, but another like that and I might not make it!" the she wolf replied. "But I'm not going to be done in. Not after what I've had to overcome."
Her mind drifted to the past a little, to her time at the academy she had gone to in order to become a pilot. The she wolf always wanted to explore the stars and fly in outer space. The female had done well on tests and just flying. But it was the combat part that Luna had really struggled in. No was sure why it was. It could have been Luna's kind nature, perhaps she was not cut out for it, or some other factor. But the she wolf didn't let this part stop her. There were those who would have given up, but Luna wasn't the kind to give up that easily. The she wolf had to work extra hard, putting in every bit of effort to past the combat parts of the academy lectures. Slowly her dedication, practicing, hard work, and determination began to show as Luna was able to overcome her struggles and these obstacles. There had also been help from others who believed in her as well. Thanks to this, the she wolf did graduate, even if Luna hadn't been in the top ten. But she knew she had done well that she would be fine.
However, Luna knew she could always improve and get better. That's where Star Flight had come in to play to help her grow even more. Nicholas had been able to sense and knew what it had been like at one point to be in Luna's postion and part of the reason why the vulpine had the she wolf join his team. The part Cerinian knew Luna had great potential and it had only just been tapped into. Then later on Wolf had helped her out even more to make the she wolf really blossom and grow into the pilot she was today. But Luna never stopped trying to learn and grow in new ways as she knew there was always new things to learn about being a pilot. But thanks to everyone and her hard work, the obstacles and hardships with fighting had been overcome. They were not here in the present day and this mech wasn't going to take Luna out. Especially with her darling Wolf and the others fighting by her side.
Luna then came back to the present, that part of her past only having taken a couple of seconds to remember. "I'm not going to lose against this guy," the she wolf stated. Luna then looked to her fiancé with love and affection. "Not especially since you and me are going to be married, Wolf."
"Yes, and I will cover your back hun to make sure we get to that point," the lupine told her with his version of a loving smile.
"Aw, how cute," the enemy pilot then came in, taunting the six. Clearly he had heard all of that. "Big words from a bitch and nobody like you Luna!"
The second that came out, Luna, Wolf, Fara, Nicholas, and all the canines who were fighting against the enemy barred their teeth and starting growling. "Excuse me?!" the lupine engaged to the she wolf snarled. "You better hope I didn't hear that right."
"I said she's a bitch and a nobody!"
Dead silence followed after that for a few seconds. "Falco and Katt, help me, Fara, Wolf, and Luna take down this asshole," Nicholas told the feline and avian in a flat voice before snarling out the next sentience. "NOBODY talks like that about my teammates. Least of all my Fara, the one who Wolf loves, or any of the other couples!"
"That was the last mistake you're going to make," the said lupine growled in anger to the enemy pilot.
"And what will you do?" the enemy taunted, digging his grave even deeper. "You can't touch me!"
"BOMB VOLLEY NOW!" Nicholas shouted.
All six pilots fired at the same time, one each. The one piloting the mech instantly had to move to avoid the blast that was going to be quiet the explosion with that many bombs going off at once. It seemed to happen in slow motion for some. Each bomb ran into the other and went off, creating a field of fire, yellow, and light. The mech was close to the very edge of the radius when the things went off. "Did that do it?" Fara asked.
It only took a second to see the mech had made it. It was smoking a bit, but nothing to show any damage had been done. "Nice try, but I'm still standing!" the enemy said.
"Damn it all; should we try it again?!" Wolf snarled.
"I'm coming for ya!" the pilot stated and the mech's left arm rose up due to the spikes on that limb used for melee combat.
"Watch out guys!" Falco stated.
But that's when Luna and Wolf spotted it. It was small, but it was there. Right at the joint area of what could be considered the armpit and upper arm, there was a small crack in the armor. It was just big enough that a couple shots would bust the thing wide open. With no second thought, the two engaged wolves fired since they were in the right position to do so. The shots flew forward and landed on target. There was a tiny explosion, not big enough to disable the arm, but one that suddenly cause the armor the mech had in that area to be ripped apart. Now the ones fighting it could see a second layer that clearly wasn't protected. "What the-?!" the pilot asked, stunned and shocked that something like this had happened.
"That's it! Shoot it off like that!" Fay contacted the ones fighting.
The enemy pilot shouted in frustration and lunged forward to attack with that limb. The mech had gotten faster and the two wolves he had gone for had barely been able to fly out of the way. "Watch out everyone; that ape looks steamed," Falco said.
"Time to show this monkey who's boss," Katt commented with a smirk, knowing her one and only avian love had said something similar before.
The avian and feline flew in, firing with their ships. They were doing this and trying to cause the enemy pilot to focus on them. That way some of the others could get the weak point and start cracking off the rest of this things armor like a hard to peel fruit. The mech then spun around like a top, spraying laser fire everywhere. The six fighters had to move and a couple got hit, but not too bad that they had to back off. "Shit, I'm taking damage!" Falco stated.
"Take this!" Nicholas then snarled and fired at the armor surrounding the exposed area. More tiny explosions happened and the armor of the mech flaked and cracked away like crumbling sand. Now the entire left upper arm was exposed and even the beginning of the chest area.
"COCKY LITTLE FUCKS!" the enemy pilot shrieked with rage and began to fly faster and fight back harder.
"Don't give in now!" Luna barked. "Especially since this bastard's going down for what he called me!"
Katt then got some more hits on the armor in order to blow more chunks of it away. "Is there enough gone now?!" Fara asked through clenched teeth after doing a barrel roll to deflects some shots from the enemy.
"A bit more; not much longer now!" Nicholas replied after taking a quick look to see almost the entire upper body area had lost the armor and would then make the mech a big target.
That only took a few seconds and now the mech was wide open for damaging. "COCKY LITTLE FUCKS!" the enemy pilot spat. But he wouldn't go down that easily without a fight.
"Let him have it!" Wolf barked as the six pilots flew and ducked among the laser fire and attacking left arm of the mech. The thing clearly now started to take damage.
"Remember, let's disable and capture the thing," Nicholas told them. "There's questions I need to ask this guy!"
"Well you won't get them!" the enemy piolet suddenly stated. "I'm taking you out with me!"
Suddenly Bill and Fay picked something up on the scanners when it came to the mech. "There's some sort of energy reaction!" the bulldog said.
The poodle looked and figured it out. "Guys; you need to take that thig out before the pilot blows the thing up like a bomb!" she exclaimed. "If that goes off, it will take out more than just you six!"
"There's no time to waste; bomb volley again!" Nicholas barked.
All six fighters did so, each explosive flying true and landing on their mark. This wasn't enough to destroy the enemy, but it certainly made the machine falter. "Just a bit more!" Fay told them after looking at the scan that showed this fight was almost over.
"I'll take him out; help me out honey!" Wolf said to Luna.
"I'd love to!" she agreed. She then ended up glaring daggers of death at the enemy mech like the she wolf was looking at the pilot.
"For what you said to her..." the lupine engaged to the female snarled to the enemy.
"You better hope you have friends on the other side," Luna growled to the ape. "Cause nobody's gonna miss you here!" They both fired with no sign of mercy, regret, or remorse.
The shots found their mark and what was needed to end this. The mech started sparking and smoking before blowing up the same way the shogun had. "EEEEEAAHHHHHHHH!" the pilot shouted the exact same way as the one piloting that weapon had done before he and the robot were incinerated in a ball of fire and light. Nothing remained of them with that and the danger that could have happened was taken care of.
It took some moments to register what had happened due to the explosion. But then the last cruiser with the one leading the attack came to terms what had happened. The rest on board, but the one that had been leading the attack just braced themselves for his anger. "Retreat," he stated through gritted teeth.
The ones that had been fighting against the Eternal Halo forces saw the final cruiser leave in the same manner as last time. "Looks like they're backing off," Falco said. The rest of those that had gone against the remaining fighters had gotten them all.
"For now anyways," Katt commented.
"We've not seen the last of them," Wolf grumbled as he still remembered what his Luna had been called.
"Yes," Nicholas agreed with a frown. He then spoke to Bill and Fay. "I need you to contact everyone else. This situation has become much more complicated. And I think Krystal needs to hear this too."
"Leave it to us," the poodle replied. The pilots then made their way to the station to check up on how things were doing, why the Eternal Halo had attacked, and to figure out what to do next.

Author's notes: So obviously since chapter 8 was much longer, I was going to have this one shorter. Also the reason for the fight as it was is because one, with an enemy such as the Eternal Halo, mechs are going to be used; and two, it was a tribute to one of the iconic Star Fox 64 bosses. I don't think I'll do something like that again, but it was fun. However, if I get negative shit for it, just like what I've gotten so far, I will remove each negative comment if I can. And yes, I did use what was said about Luna in this from a random nobody troll prick. All to show that we are aware of that one big time and every other horrid fucked up thing out there.

Hope you enjoyed.
