Dance in the Circle Chapter 7
#2 of Dance in the Circle
A new home for the new couple.
Caroline and June made it back home around lunchtime, Eveline working away on the food with James, who was now actually wearing a collar himself. June nearly stumbled at the sight of that, her eyes wide. "Mother! Already?!?"
Eveline couldn't help but laugh, reaching over to stroke Jame's cheek. "Mmm, yes, dear. It didn't take us long to decide that this was what we both wanted."
Caroline giggled and came over to give Eveline a nice, big hug. "I'm glad... he's been so lonely. Anyway, we have interesting news. We visited Johnny's home, and his sister gave us an acorn so that we can grow our own tree home."
Jame's eyes went wide as he tilted his head to one side. "You're... going to be moving out?" He was more than a little bit disappointed at that possibility.
"Don't worry, father. We're not moving far... just so that we've got a little more space to ourselves," she said, reaching over and touching the back of his hand.
Eveline nodded her head, thinking it over for a moment. "No, James... they have a point. It will be good for us to be near each other, but not right on top of one another. It gives them room to learn each other more, and room for us as well."
He thought about that and nodded his head. "I... guess that makes sense. Do you... want help picking a spot?"
Caroline thought for a moment and smiled. "I don't see where it would hurt. Somewhere nearby... just not right up against each other," she said as the cookpot began to hiss as it started to boil over, Eveline dashing over to tend to it.
"After I've finished making lunch, though. We can take some with us," she said with a giggle, getting a good laugh out of the others.
It wasn't too long before they headed out, Eveline having made a lovely stew for them to bring with them. She could really work some fine magic in the kitchen. They set out into the woods around the house, and it really wasn't long before they came upon a lovely little stream. After some discussion, they agreed that this would be a good place to plant their new home, not even five minutes' walk from James and Eveline.
Caroline and June walked around for a moment, talking over the house before they picked a spot together and planted the acorn together, taking a moment to focus on the home that they wanted before they walked back a short way.
For a long moment, nothing seemed to happen, but soon enough there was a deep rumble coming from the earth before the tree began to spring up from the ground, creaking and groaning, almost sounding as though it was going to break even as it was emerging. It really was quite a sight to see, the roots growing so nice and deep while the branches reached up to the sky, filling out with bright, vibrant leaves.
With the body of the tree grown, it began to twist and shift, openings appearing for windows while rooms were shaped along its body. As it finished shaping itself into their new home, the front door grew, with a lovely ring of living flowers on it. June was holding Caroline's arm tightly, bouncing happily as their home finished growing. The two young women looked to each other and beamed brightly before they dashed into the house.
It would certainly need some work decorating and furnishing, but that kind of thing would come soon enough. The kitchen was nice and neat (for probably the last time), the sitting room was bare but had a lovely view of the stream along with a back door to it, and the master bedroom was up in the boughs, just right to suit Caroline's nature. There was even a master bathroom, with a tub fashioned out of living oak.
Once they'd finished exploring the upper parts of the house, Caroline had a twinkle in her eye and drew June down to a half-hidden door on the first floor, opening it up to reveal a set of stairs leading down into the roots. There was a cellar here, but there was a heavy doorway into another room, which sent shivers down June's spine. The room had such an odd feeling to it, as much as there was no furniture or furnishings in it yet.
She looked to Caroline questioningly, and the squirrel grinned broadly to her. "I... have heard of mistresses and their pets having rooms like these... it is a place to keep our toys and things... for our rougher play," she said with a little laugh.
June blushed hotly at that, looking around it and seeing all of the possibilities flitting through her mind's eye. She'd never had any knowledge or experience with BDSM... but her imagination was doing a lovely job of populating the room. "Oh... I... see..." she said, her heart beating quickly. "I... maybe... we should get back to the others?"
Outside, James and Eveline held back by the stream, the vixen sitting on a nice, smooth stone while the fox sat at her feet, resting his head on her lap while she petted him, the two of them just as content as could be. It was as though the years apart had never happened. June couldn't help but smile at that, reaching out to hold Caroline's hand tenderly. "It's gorgeous... but it is going to need a lot of work," she said, smiling at her parents before there was a creak of cartwheels and the clop of hooves.
Alda was pulling a cart through the woods with the help of a couple of badgers from the work crew while Polly, Sascha, and Colleen walked alongside with more workers. Many were carrying smaller items as Polly walked up to the two young lovers. "I couldn't help myself... you simply need some house warming presents... and some basic furniture at the very least.
They blushed hotly as they looked at the heavy cart, seeing all of the furniture that was piled high in it. James and Eveline looked on in awe, quite shocked at the arrival of the entourage. Still, they rose and came across, bowing deeply to the wolf Lady. "Your grace..." James said, looking very awestruck.
Polly laughed and smiled. "You must be the parents of these two. It is very nice to meet you both," she said, giving each of them a hug. "Before I forget, I do have one gift for you two," she said, handing them an acorn as well. "This will let you tweak your own home to suit your... new needs," she added with a little wink, making Eveline giggle. "But, for right now, Caroline... you are in charge. Let us know where you want things to go!"
They quickly set to work, Caroline taking the lead with confidence as she saw to the unloading and placement of the new furniture. She clearly had a sense of where she wanted things to go but wasn't so fiddly that she fussed over furniture being in exactly the right spot to the inch. The decorations, she let them find safe spots for so that she and June would be able to decorate on their own. When she saw the furniture for their playroom starting to come down from the wagon, she blushed fiercely while June was off by the bank, distracted by Sascha and Colleen as they ate lunch with her parents.
June gave a little lopsided smile as she started directing the workers down into the cellar and then the playroom. "Oh, be honest with yourself, Caroline, it's a dungeon," she couldn't help but think to herself. There was a lovely, padded riding horse, a St. Andrew's Cross, and so much more that they loaded into the dungeon, along with a staggering array of tools and implements. June hardly knew where to begin with half of them... though Polly came up and whispered into the squirrel's ear. "Don't worry, dear... I'll help train you on how to use them."
That only made Caroline blush all the harder, even as she thanked Polly. The unloading went very smoothly, really, the movers and Alda working very professionally, and they finished in time to join the others on the bank to eat. They brought more food to share as well (thank goodness), which was passed around to all. Good, hearty fare, with a few little luxuries here and there as they all relaxed there on the bank, June trailing her feet in the stream.
Caroline sat with her, just relaxing there on the bank... their bank, which they'd get to enjoy together quite a lot. She could already see them making a nice little sitting area for themselves, with a nice area for them to take dips in the water. Probably... sometimes without clothes. She couldn't help but giggle at the thought as she gently brushed her fingers through June's hair.
Polly and Eveline were off to one side talking away, working to bring the new fox a bit more up to speed... and to coo over the adorable young couple by the water. June even took moments away from the water to marvel over Alda, giggling at her muscles, and just getting caught up in how soft and fluffy Colleen's wool was. She also took some time to just be cute and playful with Sascha, the two of them bounding around the bank together... just not having to worry about being proper... or even really human for a moment.
Soon enough, though, Polly rounded her people up, bidding the foxes and squirrel goodbye, leaving them only for Eveline and James to hug them tightly and wish them a good night as well, leaving the two of them alone with their new home at last.
June was amazed at everything that Polly had brought for them as they took a second pass through the house. She even took some time to look at some of the decorations that had been brought for them, giggling over a few of them while they looked around. She was glad that they'd be able to arrange the decorations to their tastes.
She looked a bit nervous in the kitchen, looking to Caroline, wondering who would cook, now that they were on their own, but the squirrel reassured her that she was quite well versed in cooking and that June would have time to learn without having to worry about poisoning them.
She couldn't help but sprawl out on the couch when they got to the sitting room, feeling just how luxuriously soft it was before they continued up the stairs. The master bedroom took her breath away, leaving her to roam around it a bit, trailing her fingers over the silken sheets as she blushed and looked to Caroline.
The squirrel smiled and giggled, kissing June softly and sighing as they then made their way into the bathroom, which was beautiful and cozy, perfect for a good hot soak after they've made a mess of themselves. Caroline smiled and kissed June's cheek softly as she started the bath running, drawing wonderfully hot water straight into the tub.
"Wow... Polly really... made sure that we were well set, didn't she?" June looked amazed as she fetched the plug and set it in the drain before she walked over to the cupboard and got out some herbs and salts to add to the bath, sprinkling them gently into the quite substantial tub... which she was doing her best not to think of potential uses for. Potential? No, inevitable.
As the tub filled, the two of them undressed, June helping Caroline slip off the corset before she realized with a blush that she was still wearing the harness. It had felt just that natural for her, even when she'd been romping around with Sascha. Caroline couldn't help but giggle at June's embarrassment, coming over and kissing her as she wrapped her arms around her pet and placed her fingers to the release plate, concentrating her magic on it and making the latches release.
June sighed as she slipped out of it, the faucet ceasing its flow automatically once the tub was properly filled. The two young women helped each other into the tub, letting out deep sounds of contentment at the feel of the water soaking into their muscles, helping them relax after a very long day.
Not a bad day, mind you... but a lot had certainly gone on that day, and it was beyond wonderful to have a moment to breathe and relax, just the two of them there together. They couldn't entirely keep their hands to themselves, but on the whole, they were good about it. They more wanted to enjoy the contact than anything particularly wicked.
In time, though, Caroline nestled up against June, grinning from ear to ear as she wrapped her arms around the vixen's waist. "Mmm... now if you think everything in the main hose... just wait until you see what is downstairs..."
