The Big Sister Part Four: A Taste of Power
#3 of The Big Sister Story
Adriana heads to her job at the library in downtown Siag to possibly uncover the secrets of her new book. She picks up a good historical book that would perhaps help her translate some of the book's contents and fill her in on the history of Old Spagonia. However, as she is heading home in an actual chipper mood things take a dark turn.
She would continue to go down the street towards the library as Adriana tried to keep her head low and blend in with the crowd. It was a bit of a walk but not too far off from her apartment so Adriana would enjoy a nice power walk to her job. However, as she would move down the street she would see what looked like a parade of marching Order soldiers.
They would march down the street, rows upon rows of armed men and women in uniforms, either dark green, black, or dark purple. It would look like some sort of occupation march were it not that they were more than likely conscripted from the slums and ghettos within Siag. This was one thing that Adriana did give her brother credit for, he was able to stem unemployment by offering the impoverished a chance to serve his army.
Still, the incessant marching always bothered her. Those should be her soldiers and march to her command, not her brothers. As they would parade down the street the crowd would cheer and wave, yet then Adriana would clench her fist at the sight of those accursed Grey Party officers. They were the same people who sold out her father on his death bed and placed her brother into power. The Greys were perhaps the soldiers Adriana hated the most, their blind devotion to a deceiver such as Grief made her sick to her stomach. Even if she had to admit, she liked their nice grey capes.
As the parading troopers would move past her making much noise with their marching she would take a glimpse at one of them. He was an officer that she saw very much before standing next to her brother on the television, it was none other than the famous Captain Herman Wolfgang. The man was an utter fanatic for her brother, but he never even acknowledged her own advances towards him before.
This man infuriated her, if Adriana could pick up a rock and toss it at him right then and there she would have, but then that would have brought much more drama than she needed at the moment. Suddenly, the two anthro foxes did catch a glimpse of each other. His red bionic eye would scan her momentarily with a lock on as her own two pair of green eyes would narrow at him, before she made a hastily retreat into the crowd to avoid suspicion.
"That was way too close" Adriana muttered under her breath.
She would hide in the abundant amount of people, trying to act normal until the marching soldiers would pass down the street. Above them the sound of a hovering Raven "620" Gunship would be heard. The vixen would cover her sensitive ears as the loud 'flooshing' hover noise would fill the airwaves around her as the comparably huge black ship would move over the crowd. This was a symbol of the Order's technological superiority, and while to the average Moebian this was a comfort in their people's own might. All Adriana saw was that of her brother's arrogance and over reliance on technology.
"I hate those things" she said, as he voice would be deafened by the noise.
Eventually, the Raven 620 gunship would move past the crowd and the soldiers would all continue to march down the street and away from her. At this point she decided to casually make her exit from the crowd and head back towards the library where she worked. On her job, she would try to research into the "Fatorum Vices" spell to see what it meant and if she could somehow use it.
Eventually Adriana would make it to the library, for once she actually had a good alibi for being late due to the parade going down the street earlier. She would enter the library and gaze at the shelves of books on the rows. Most of them were non-fiction, technical books in regards to science, biology, physics, and economics. However, there was section in the back that had more archaic and historical books. She thought this would be best place to find some research on ancient history. Of course, she had to clock in and do her job first.
The day was pretty much normal, she put her purse with the book away and got to work. It pretty much was a routine day, but she did use her employee card to rent what she presumed was a book on Medieval and Ancient Spagonian dialects. Her boss didn't even dare to ask so it was nothing for her to simply rent the book.
That afternoon she'd clock out for the day and put the history book into her purse along with Aurelia's tome. She would walk out of the library, actually happy for once. She would unravel the secrets of her families book and unlock it's secrets. The best part, nobody would even believe her that she was doing anything more than curing her boredom by reading an new dialect. She almost chuckled in how easy this would be as she merrily pranced down the street towards her apartment in a daintily manner.
However, as Adriana would go by a nearby alleyway things would take a dark turn. She would be immediately grabbed by the arm and flung into the alleyway. She let out a yelp, grasping her purse as close to her as she could. Due to her rather light weight she was easily flung into the alleyway as she would see a larger canine man in a hoodie starring and grinning right at her. He then took out a switchblade and pointed it up to her.
"Hey there, gal" the person said.
"Ciao?" she simply replied as Adriana would tense up. Clearly seeing this as a bad sign.
"Now move that way, nice and easy" the man said as he pointed the blade towards her and pointed towards deeper into the alleyway.
She would be forced to comply, clearly they wanted her to go deeper into the alleyway so he could have his way with her. She tried to step back and maintain eye contact with him. She could clearly tell he was thirsty, but if she would try to unzip her purse he may try to stab at her. She hoped the goon wouldn't have a gun on him. Perhaps if she could get some distance she would be able to make a run for it.
"P-please, y-you don't want me. I-I hit the wall" Adriana said remaining horrified.
"Heh, doll you still look like fun" he replied.
She then remembered that she had powers, so she would stop and tried to unleash her mind control. "I command you to stop at once!" she let out as her eyes would glow green and her hair would fly up.
"Shit, you're a psychic! Boys, we got a live one!" he would call out before she was able to control the man.
However, soon three other scoundrels would appear in the alleyway from the catwalk and clearly some hanging around the wrong side of town. While her powers immediately caused the man be under her command, she realized that she was out numbered.
"Hey Frank, you alright? What did you do to him you bitch?" one of the larger one said.
As the three other men would take out knives, a knee capper bat, and some brass knuckles while the person with the switchblade was put under her trance. Now was the time Adriana thought she'd make a run for it. She would quickly turn around and dash deeper into the alleyway.
Of course, this distance meant the one known as Frank who tried to hold her hostage would snap out of her mind control, but she didn't have time to think about that. She would hastily open up her purse on the move and tried to take out Aurelia's book while she was on the move. Perhaps there was some spell in the book that would work on all four of her pursuers? She thought.
Adriana would pant while closing the purse, not wanting to lose the second book as she clasps Aurelia's in her hands, eventually she would enter a dead end and turn around while frantically trying to open it and read the book.
The four of them cut her off from escape as expected, she immediately was cornered by the four men, three of them canines, and one feline. All looked barely sober and had weapons in hand.
"Yo Frank, I think I've seen this chick before. At the park.
"Yeah, what about her? She just put me under sort of trance, she's a freak!"
"Yeah, she's some crazy bitch, calling herself a witch. Got shoved down by the police chief".
"Stay back! I am warning you!" she said as Adriana would frantically try to look through the pages and read the book.
"Reductio Quantitatis" she would hear in the back corners of her mind, from none other than the voice of the spirit that tried to contact her before.
"Reductio Quantitatis.....Reductio Quantitatis...Bambina"
The line of passage would suddenly illuminate on a page as the book would glow bright green. Adriana tried it as she would put out her finger and recite "Reductio Quantitatis!" towards the four men as her eyes would glow pure green and her hair would flow widely along with her pink dress. Suddenly, a massive burst of mystical green energy would be unleashed at all four of them. Due to the narrow passage of the alleyway, only one of them were not caught up in the blast radius.
Dust and smoke would fill the alleyway as her eyes would slowly begin to turn to normal while she was panting. She stepped back and hugged the wall to try to get some distance. However, something odd happened once the smoke began to settle. Adriana would try to shield from inhaling it with her cape.
"Frank, you okay? What the?!?" one of them yelled out as the smoke would clear.
Her eyes would open up as she would see that three out of the four assailants were somehow miniaturized. She couldn't believe it, but only one of them were their natural size, whereas the three of the others were tiny. A rush of adrenaline went over her as she grinned. All four of them were utterly confused, and Adriana could feel somewhat sore inside, but whatever she did seemed to have worked. Somehow.
"Sheesh, what the fuck did you do to Frank and the boys, you fucking monster?!?"
"I'll do it again to you if you don't scram!" she said as she pointed her finger at the man.
"Screw that! I'm outta here!" the feline man said as he began to dash away and leap to climb onto the catwalks to make his escape.
As the anthro feline man would try to save his own skin and leave, she would look down and smirk. While the cat was able to get away, the three other were not so fortunate as now they didn't even measure up to her heel bone. Something went over her, something Adriana has never felt before. It was a rush of excitement, and a desire for revenge. She didn't question it, not now. If she could use this spell on someone else, a certain fox she knew. Yes, that would be eventual now wouldn't it?
"What the, how the hell did you turn the world giant you dumb bitch?" the one in the hoodie called Frank would let out in a comically tiny voice.
"Frank! We need to get outta here!"
"Not so fast!" she said as Adriana would take the initiative and tried to leap over them in the alleyway to where she would now be the one to cut them off.
Being a fox, Adriana was naturally agile and was able to leap up over them. While this had the unfortunate implications of them well, looking up her pink as she done so. She simply didn't care at the current moment. These muggers were about to kill her, or worse. All Adriana had on the mind was living for the moment as she would touch down behind all three of them with a comparably loud landing with her colossal red footwear.
THOOM!
"What's the matter boys? Five minutes ago you were trying to all gang bang me!" she said as her massive slippers touched down knocking up dust with her comparably large ruby red heels.
"What was it Frank? You thought I was a 'doll' that looked fun? Well, the shoe is now on the other foot, isn't it?" Adriana asked Frank in a condescending manner.
The three of them tried to run past her, but she would simply sweep the vamp of her left heel across all three of them, knocking them all over from escaping. As she heard their compounded grunts of following over. She decided to go in for the kill. After all, these three were nothing but scum and cowards preying on women. Nobody would miss them in Siag, and she had to see the results of their transformations.
She would slowly lift up her left leg, all three of them were pleading for mercy, one even getting on their hands and knees. Still, their tiny voices would fall on proverbially deaf ears as she would grin in a maddened way.
"Life sucks, doesn't it boys? Don't worry, I'm about to release you of this burden!" she said just before she would then stomp down right on Frank.
"AH!" Frank would make out before he collided with the massive footwear.
STOMP!
She would hear a simply cry out in agony and feel the sadistic joy as her heel would come crashing down on him. He would try to struggle, but it was like a mouse being under the foot of an elephant as he would cry out in agony. The other two were in morbid shock as they watched in terror.
"No! Please! Stop!" they called out to her.
It was no use, within moments of her pressing down Frank would be reduced to a tiny squashed puddle of blood and a lifeless corpse. Still, she didn't stop there as she would lift up her right leg and position it over the second dog who was shivering in terror and in a fettle position. They would let out a tiny cry before she would send her comparably massive footwear right on them next. There was little chance they stood as they were given the same force Frank had, with only a little pressure on Adriana's part before they were utterly crushed beneath her.
Now, she would begin to scrape their tiny blooded corpses off her slippers as she turned around and looked at the third one who was whimpering like a puppy about to be kicked. She would lift up her leg, but this time sending her foot stomping right down, just before him. This caused him to let out a scream in fear, but she would wait for him to look up at her as she looked down.
"Tell me little worm, do you believe in magic? You saw me at the park, right?"
"Yes! Please, just don't kill me!"
"Utterly pathetic" Adriana would say as she would lean down to grab him.
She needed one of them alive, she didn't know if this transformation was temporary or permanent, but if she could prologue the spell she would be able to find a way to use it on her brother and make it much more potent. Besides, her natural born psychic powers would make it simple to put a drunken slob such as this under her dominion even if they somehow reverted back to normal.
"No! Don't!" the tiny dog man would yell out as she would reach down to grab him.
Her massive hand would come down and literally pinch him with her long red nails as her soft hand would clasp him in her grasp. While this was a fate that she clearly thought he was undeserving of, she had to figure out the full power of the book. She would easily lift up the weeping and shivering coward of a toy sized mongrel as she would slowly bring him up to eye level.
The ting dog trembled in horror as he gazed into her massive and unnaturally glowing green eyes. All the while she was smirking. With her other hand she would unzip her purse and put Aurelia's book back inside, yet leave the purse open.
"How does it feel little man? To be powerless?" she asked him
"I-I'll do whatever you want, just don't kill me!" he replied while being clutched by her ring finger.
"Damn right you will, you're coming with me. You'll make a lovely little test subject for my. Experiment" she said as she would slowly lower him into her massive purse.
"No!" he let out as it was too late, she would hover him over the a separated section of the purse away from the book and simply drop him inside.
His tiny scream as she fell in was joyous to her, and now all she had in mind was with this spell and the others in the book, what else could she get away with? A serial killing witch on the loose in a ignorant and doomed city that didn't believe in magic.
Adriana would begin to close her purse, entrapping the miniaturized man and closing the book to be safe. She would then lean over and with her two fingers and begins to scrape some of the blood of the other dead two tiny corpses onto them before writing down next to them with their own blood but one single phrase:
"Magic is real, Siag."
After this, she would turn around and begin to whistle as she would walk casually out of the alleyway and back to her home.
