New Life in New Vegas Part 4: A Challenger Appears
----At Mondales Destroyed Lab----
The ruined bunker is a mess, Rick having left in a rage, tearing through underground facility, throwing open doors and tearing them off their hinges before squeezing himself through the regular sized entrance and making his escape into the night. It sat there silent and unused, Fiends spreading rumors of horrible creatures that came from it, keeping the population away, though some of the native wildlife was starting to explore it, make a home for themselves. At first a Mantis group made it their home, but was soon killed off by a family of Golden Geckos that made it their own.
They made mostly the front area of the bunker their home, but one of the Gecko's was making his way back towards the lab area, coming across the decaying corpse of Dr. Mondale. With no fresh meat, it wandered around, digging through piles of junk, coming across dark bottles of a green fluid. It had learned that usually a tasty fluid could be found inside if it tore off the cap. After a few minutes of scratching and biting on the metal cap, he managed to twist it off, dumping the bottle into his mouth and downing the fluid entirely, but before he could, he had drank it down and realized it wasn't the fizzy water that it was before, but something different entirely.
Coughing up the bottle, it shook it's head trying to get the taste away, but suddenly it's entire body was on fire, causing it to spasm, collapsing to the floor and shaking around, knocking over things and more of the bottles of green liquid, soon rolling over the fluid on the floor, cutting itself on the bottles as more seeped into its wounds. It cried out, echoing into the halls, frightening the others in the front that thought it was being eaten by a predator, running off through the front door and to safety away from whatever was eating their family member in the back.
Alone and helpless, the lizard was flailing about, now hitting more stuff in the room as it began to grow, muscles bulging from his golden form, the still barely lit room making his scales glimmer, showing off the transformation as he kept getting bigger and bigger, soon bigger than even the largest Gecko and getting bigger than that, once four feet tall, now pushing out to seven feet, powerful muscles that weren't there before straining it's body as the changes became less painful. It growled out with fury, pushing itself off the floor and onto it's new legs, thick muscles bulge and straining as it stood, still growing larger, muscles expanding from his chest, feeling a new heavy weight in between his legs as his internal malehood and become much larger, straining to stay inside his slit, though it could never mate with any of the Geckos at their original size.
Letting out a cry and flexing his body with dominace, bones cracking and muscles inflating once again, it had evened off with it's growing at nearly ten feet, hundreds of pounds of hard and bulging muscle that strained his now emerald looking body as green replaced it's one golden luster, a monster that had no other equal...
...except for one...
----A Week Later Up In The Hills of Jacobstown----
Rick had been trudging through the snow for abit now, assault rifle in his paws, super sledge slung over his back, the sun shining as they were starting to go lower, finally getting to some grass as the snow started to become less and less. They were hunting down a possible Deathclaw that had been tearing through Bighorners in the area. Used as food for Jacobstown and left to wander wild, to hear that they were being fiercely slaughtered by something huge that had been scared away from Camp McCarran a few days back according to the radio transmission they had picked up.
He had remembered his first encounter with a Deathclaw, a frightening battle that he had one, but this time he has two other Super Mutants with him, all equipped to fight the Deathclaw. His nostrils flared as he smelled the tell-tale sign of death, spotting the torn apart remains of another Bighorner, but there was something else in the air. A sense of danger that would've caused Rick's fur to stand up if he had any still had his ears up and he was trying to figure out what had him on edge, but suddenly something large jumped from the cliff edge next to them, the creature landing atop one of the super mutants and crushing him as it hit just right to break his spine, killing him instantly. Rick then realized he wasn't facing a large Deathclaw, but something of immense muscle and size much like his own, sporting a green color that tinted it's scales, giving it an emerald look.
To see something that had a size similar of his own, maybe even bigger, but with a feral ferocity frightened him, but it was time he put himself to the ultimate test and to see what he was really capable of.
