Chapter 1:

"I'm glad to see you all here today while I unveil my newest creation!" A white, skeletal figure announced to others of it's kind. This is a memorable day for all of us, Celestia and Celesteon alike.

"We have finally been able to finish the portal, which will allow us to travel between the alternate universes!" The skeletal figure continued.

The skeletal figure, he is called a Celestia. They are our creators, and in some perspective, our damnation.

"Now that we are all here, and our Celesteon ready, I can now activate the portal." The Celestia stated, tapping it's pearl-white, bony finger on a red button on the holographic panel next to a large ring-like structure, the portal. The portal activated, several sparks of electricity shooting from one side of the ring to the opposite side, starting to form a black and red disk in the center of it all. The crowd looked amazed at the sight, but then their amazement turned to horror, as seven thin inky black tendrils reached out from the other side of a portal, a harsh and ear-ringing screech emitting from behind the portal.

Several of the Celestia had fled already, along with three of the Celesteon who had previously been entirely confident. The remaining Celesteon and I stood our ground with the remnant Celestia, who were brave enough to stick around for the battle. The Celesteon group let out strong beams of pure energy, generated from their own bodies, at the tendrils, being rewarded by several screams of agony from whatever was behind the portal.

"Shut the portal down, you fool!" One of the Celesteon, who wore transparent armor on her shoulders shouted at the Celestia who had activated the portal.

"Can you not see I'm trying?" The Celestia shouted back, frantically attempting several of the fail-safe termination codes on the holographic panel with little avail.

The portal started to let out a droning alarm, a bad sign, considering the fact that they had no way to shut down the portal.

The Celesteon had ceased firing upon the creature, realizing that it was the least of their worries at the moment. "The portal's overloading! We have to get-!" The Celestia started, but was interrupted by the black tendrils piercing into his body, killing him quickly. Not too long after the Celestia's death, the others had noticed that the very sky above them seemed to be flickering, dark clouds phasing in and out of sight.

A sharp explosion sounded, then all I saw was blackness.
