Short Changed
#7 of One Shots
Just a short little thing that popped into my head when I was riding my bike, please enjoy!!!!
The coins rolled on the counter, spilling from the wolf's shaking paw. Splicer was huffing, short gusts of air escaped from his tired lungs. The badger sighed as he counted to coins, dragging them into a pile with a single claw.
"It's short." The words made Splicer's ears flatten as he looked in his wallet again, almost expecting bills to magically appear in the empty space. "It's like you want this to happen."
Splicer wiped his muzzle in paranoia as he walked out from the airconditioned store into the sweltering summer sun. He wasn't sure if the salty taste of the badger was soothing his dry maw or making it worse. Either way he slung his bag over his shoulder and kicked his bike into gear.
His spokes spun, sweat dripped down his grey fur, plastering it to his back, his shirt was soaked, clinging heavy to his chest. He was only halfway done the return trip, but his body was screaming for him to stop. Sweat dripped off his tongue, frothy and thick, he was crying out for water.
It wasn't the only thing his body was crying out for, Splicer squirmed in his seat as he felt his bladder bursting, he had hoped to use the store's bathroom, but after being short on funds, and what the badger did to his mouth, he wanted to get out of there sooner rather than later. He stood up on the pedals, letting out a light groan as he pushed. Motionless he coasted down the small incline, feeling the padding around his sheath grow even warmer and squishier as his piss met the sweat that had already dampened his diaper.
He sat back on his seat, a light whine escaped as he felt the rough seat squish hard against his butt, even getting some liquid to squish out, no doubt getting his shorts wet too, not that a fur would ever be able to tell with how much sweat was pooling down the wolf. He kicked back into peddling mode, but the chain popped off, making his feet spinning the pedals useless.
"Not nooooooow" Splicer hissed, pissed at the delay. The badger had taken longer than usual and he was really pushing his time limit, not to mention the hot day making this one of his worst trips. He jumped off the bike, quickly reseating the chain, before reaching into his peeled-off bag for his mini bottle of chain lube, he grabbed another bottle and pulled it out. The cold bottle felt like magic in his hand, sweat ran off his body but down his brow. He could just, one sip, that's all. Condensation ran down the plastic shell of the bottle, mocking the wolf's sweat, his tongue was so dry, surely a sip couldn't hurt. If he wasn't so dehydrated he might cry. He almost threw the bottle back into his bag before grabbing the chain lube, spraying it over his gears and hopping back into his seat before he could second guess his decision.
"Took you long enough..." The grey wolf was leaning back on the couch, watching the sweat soaked wolf slam the door behind him. Splicer hobbeled, up the stairs, knees still weak from the lack of water and multiple hours of biking.
"I-I wouldn't take s-so long if you would, just let me go to the store down the st-street..." Splicer managed to stammer out before handing the bottle of water over to the wolf, who's paw was already outstretched in anticipation.
"They don't have the brand I like, 'sides, you don't mind do you?"
"No sir..." Splicer felt his ears flatten against his sweat soaked head as he prepared to sit down on the couch.
"EY! Not on my couch!" You'll get it all sweaty..." The wolf chided as he cracked the seal on the water.
"I bought that couch..." Splicer whined as he sat cross legged on the floor in front of his once roommate, now master.
"Yeah yeah, whatever." The wolf was taking long sips of the bottle of water, watching as the pup in front of him looked up with pleading eyes. "You really need a drink that bad?"
Splicer nodded hard, sweat flying of the tip of his nose and still panting tongue.
"C'mere." His master commanded before taking a long swig, finishing off the bottle. He swirled it in his muzzle, making sure to mix it well with his saliva before griping the back of his pup's neck, nearly scruffing them. He leaned down, pressing his lips to Splicer's before spitting all the backwashed water into their muzzle.
Splicer felt his eyes widen, slightly warm, but still cool water flushing into his maw. His tail shot straight like an arrow, before relaxing back down, just happy to finally quell his thirst. It began moving back and forth in a slight motion, leaving a trail of wetness in it's wake. He swallowed hard.
"What do you have to say pup?"
"Thank you sir..." Splicer responded in an almost instinctual response, laying his back onto the cool wood of the floor, feeling his eyelids slowly shutting.
