Ancient Archeological Adversary
Many months ago a small group of Kirbys stumbled upon the discovery of a lifetime. An ancient and buried temple of unknown origin that had been lost for thousands of years, hidden by time with layers of solid ice in a tundra wasteland. Months of labors went into excavating the site by a skilled team of archeologists. As the group dug out what seemed to be the final chamber those months may have gone to waste as something evil was unleashed. Panic and desperation lead to only two members making it out and calling for help. Now Pan the Kirbreon, a well respected and highly skilled member of a guild of Kirby heroes, must delve deep into this temple to stop whatever horrors were unleashed.
Story was made for my friend Pan for their birthday, hope you like it as much as he did!
Frigid winds cut through the dusky night, various tents flapping as a lone blue Kirby sat alone at what looked like an abandoned dig site. His small body was wrapped with a scarf and a little cotton hat protected his head from what was looking to be a stormy night. Despite the hostile weather the little Kirby kept himself occupied as he waited for something or someone to show up, his little nubs nervously rubbing together in a futile attempt to keep himself warm. He shot a nervous glance at a far away hole with a rope ladder attached to it.
The only sound that could be heard was the rapid winds that ripped throughout the camp. A rather large excavation project had been progressing in the area when a scouting team found what looked to be remnants of an ancient temple. The forgotten temple had been buried underneath hundreds, maybe even thousands, of years worth of snow and ice. Such a discovery had prompted a team to set up a basecamp in the area and begin working night and day to unearth the secrets that lay beneath their feet, and yet now only one little Kirby remained, his tired eyes locked with the entrance hole that his team had dug up only months prior.
"Hopefully a member from the guild shows up soon..." He mumbled lightly to himself. He kept his eyes locked on the entrance as if he was waiting for something to burst out at any moment. So lost in his thought that he didn't notice the approaching footsteps; he only became aware when he heard the loud sound of someone clearing their throat from directly behind him.
"I received a report of a group of Kirbys who required immediate assistance in this general area." The blue Kirby turned around to face the commanding voice. His eyes laid upon a black furry body with a long tail, decorated by golden rings that illuminated the darkening night. "My name is Pan. I was sent here to aid in any way that I could."
The blue Kirby's heart practically burst from his chest. This was the famous guild member Pan the Kirbreon. While originally the strange form had left some Kirbys hesitant, this little fuzzy hero made a name for himself as one of the biggest and bestest heroes on all of Planet Popstar.
"Thank goodness you are here Pan!" He got up off his seat and offered up a nub to shake. "My name is Lucus. I am the head of this giant excavation project. The situation is more than just dire, it is a catastrophe!" The hours spent planning an elegant explanation faded as Lucus exploded in a ball of raw emotion. Tears began to form in his eyes as every wave of pure emotion hit Lucus like a punch in the chest.
Pan let out a small sigh. He knew that it wasn't easy for civilians to keep their composure in stressful situations but if things were really this bad he was going to need this Kirby to pull himself together. "Everything is going to be alright but I need you to take a deep breath and start from the top. What is going on here?"
With a shaky breath Lucus sniffled and wiped away the forming tears. He motioned for Pan to follow him and the two traveled across the large empty camp and into a giant tent. Even if Pan was covered in layers of fur that kept him warm it still felt nice to get out of the raging winds. The two continued to a nearby table where there were large hand drawn maps everywhere.
"A little less than a year ago we received a report of a temple that had been buried by snow and ice over the years. Curiosity led to me leading my own team out where to begin digging out and exploring these ancient ruins." Lucus pulled out a map that looked like basic designs of an entrance way. "Over time as we cleared out ice and rubble we began to map the interior. It had been going slow and making sure we had the supplies has been no easy task, but progress was being made every day."
Lucus pulled out a variety of different color markers. He grabbed a red one and began circling a new map that wasn't fully finished. "Today we were working on finishing the third floor of the temple when I heard... screaming." Tears almost came back with a renewed torrent of emotions; it had already been a few hours but to Lucus it felt like only minutes ago that he was running for his life."
Pan offered the shaken Kirby a soft pat on the back. "What happened?"
"I don't fully know. I was on the first floor discussing the next steps with one of my men when the screaming started. Next thing we knew there were armored Kirby knights charging at us from the darkness." Lucus stumbled over his words. His eyes searched for something specific and finally he found it. He offered a small piece of paper to Pan. There was a shaky and rough drawing of what looked similar to Galacta Knight.
"Only two of us managed to make it to the entrance and that was only because we were so close to begin with. We rushed up the rope ladders and cut them down before those monsters could follow us up." Lucus was staring off into the distance now. The memories flooded him like a torrent of water. "After we caught our breath I sent the other guy off to call for rescue while I watched the hole for any activity, which thankfully there was none."
Lucus took the markers and began drawing various paths throughout the different maps. The plan was simple, Pan was going to enter into this temple and stop whatever creatures were awoken from the dark depths. His secondary concern would be to search for any survivors and point them in the direction of the rope ladder. Each path had a different option for infiltration. Some of the paths were less used and less guarded with the tradeoff of not being cleared of any leftover hazards. Some took the more headfirst approach and would get the quickest way but the most contested.
"Hmm..." Pan wondered to himself. There was no telling what these strange knights were capable of. "Right! I'll go through this side passage. It will take me a little longer but it is better to be cautious for now."
Pan went to grab the maps but a nub grabbed hold of his. Lucus was staring intently at Pan, words struggling to come from his mouth. After a silent minute Lucus finally spoke up.
"My son..."
"Huh?" Pan shot him a questioning glance. "Your son?"
"Jasper. He was down there leading the other archaeologists during the dig." Lucus' voice was barely even a whisper now. "Please... Find my son."
Both of them knew that if he was at ground zero of this attack that it was likely he would've been part of the first victims. Yet as Pan looked into those pleading eyes he felt a fire building in his gut.
"Don't worry. I'll find your son and get him back to you."
Pan scooped up the maps and tossed him into a little pouch that he carried on his side. With a plan of attack settled all that was left was for Lucus to guide the Kirbreon to the entrance. As the pair approached the hole Pan spotted a couple of spare rope ladders. Getting down would've been trouble without those so he was thankful for that at least. As the two worked on removing the current cut ladder and setting up the new one, Pan turned to the still shaken Kirby.
"Lucus. I'm going to need you to stay here and watch the hole. You're going to pull the ladder up so that nothing can get out. Once I'm ready to leave I'm going to light a flare down here. Throw the ladder down as soon as you see it. If you don't see that flare within twelve hours then leave and let them know that I need immediate backup, alright?"
Lucus gave Pan a weary nod. Honestly it wasn't much but that was all they had. Pan could head back and call for backup but if there were any survivors they would surely be doomed if he did. Time was of the essence and Pan couldn't afford to wait for backup. The ladder was set and Pan began to climb down the arctic hole into the underground temple. The once blaring wind fading away as he descended deeper into the darkness. Thankfully his natural affinity for the dark made it easy for him to see even as the pitch black abyss swallowed his body. The climb down took a little more than a minute and by the time he was fully down he could only see a dot of light that radiated from the top. As soon as Lucus saw that the ladder wasn't shaking anymore he knew that Pan had touched the bottom and slowly he pulled the ladder back to the top. Pan was now completely trapped down here.
"No going back now." Pan thought to himself.
The pit was void of almost any sound, all that Pan could hear was the blood thumping in his head. He reached for the piece of paper and cursed himself as the rustling sounded like a gunshot when compared to the deafening nothingness that was around him. It was impossible to tell just how loud that really was and all he could do was hope that nothing was close enough to hear him.
The issues didn't stop there as his night vision only allowed him to see in monotone colors which he failed to consider when he hastily jumped down here. The colored lines on the map would be impossible to decipher unless he found something to light the area up. And his glowing gold rings were like a beacon that would make it hard to sneak past anything that wasn't blind.
Pan grumbled to himself. Nothing he could do about any of that now. There were people that needed to be saved so all he could do was pick a path and stick with it. Without wasting any more time he spotted what looked like a side opening that was marked on the map and he began his sneaky descent into the void.
It was obvious that the first floor was merely just an entrance area and judging by the lack of noise throughout it seemed like the knights had no intention of leaving the temple. Things started to get a little dicey as soon as Pan found the stairs down into the second level. Already the silence was being broken down by the sounds of metal footsteps. How many there were exactly was impossible to tell but there had to be at least a dozen patrolling the floor alone.
Thankfully the loud clanking made it easy for Pan to decipher just which path would be guarded the least. It looked like he could take a roundabout hallway that would circle around the main patrols. While the idea seemed perfect at the time; the further Pan walked into this less used path the more obvious it became as to why it was left unused by the dig team.
The place looked ready to fall apart at any moment. Crumbling floors and creaking pillars made the Kirbreon's tail hair stand up on end.
"Yikes." He mumbled to himself. One wrong step and this entire place could crash down on him. Even if he managed to avoid getting crushed the sound would surely get an entire battalion of soldiers crashing down on him like a tidal wave.
With a deep breath Pan began tiptoeing across the perilous paths. He was an acrobatic master dodging cracks and holes while jumping over degraded flooring. Some obvious and some not too obvious. It was taking a long time to clear through the areas.
"At least this is sa-" Pan's inner thoughts were interpreted as some flooring gave out from underneath him. By instinct he puffed his body up and floated towards the nearby ledge. His nub managed to catch the cracking stone and he used all his strength to pull himself up and roll away from the collapsing flooring. The room cracked and exploded with the sounds of ancient rock smashing into each other as they collided in freefall all the way down.
Pan stood up on his own shaking legs and let out a painful puff of air. His lungs were burning from holding his breath that entire time but now he could relax a little. He shook his head and turned around just in time to catch the glint of a sword slicing downwards. Pan's nubs shot upwards and a ball of pure darkness formed just in time to stop the slash a mere inch before his face.
"Engage intruder. Subdue intruder. Capture for the Master." The armored figures' dull voice echoed off the walls.
"So much for stealth!" Shouted Pan. He used his shadow orb to redirect the blade off towards the right just enough for him to get some distance from his attacker.
"Engage intruder. Subdue intruder. Capture for the Master." He once again repeated.
The Galacta Knight lookalike lunged forward towards Pan but it was obvious that whatever this creation was, it wasn't very well trained. Its moves were sloppy and it was very easy for Pan to dodge and deflect every slash and stab that was tossed his way. Pan left himself wide open for an obvious attack which the armor fell for completely. The knight's right nub slashed at Pan's stomach but he expertly took hold of it with his left and summoned a blast of pure negative energy that completely disarmed the sword.
The knight was defenseless now and could do nothing to stop Pan as he charged up a massive shadow ball that directly impacted the chest. Shards of shattered metal went flying as the amateur guard was sent crashing to the ground motionless.
Pan didn't even break a sweat during the fight and now he had the perfect opportunity to see what these knights even were. He made his way over towards the fallen foe and took a look at the chest armor which had been blown to pieces by the attack. Inside he could see what looked like a normal everyday Kirby wearing a scarf. One that looked just like the one Lucus had been wearing.
"No way, can it really be?"
Pan reached his nub into the hole and tugged out the scarf. There was no denying the truth, the Kirby inside that armor was part of the excavation squad. Pan would've spent more time investigating but something unexpected began to happen. The chunks of metal had turned into some sort of liquid and were beginning to pool back towards the fallen knight. It was repairing itself.
Whatever was causing these Kirbys to be possessed had to be on the third floor. Pan couldn't afford to stay any longer as he was beginning to hear the sound of clanking footsteps rushing towards his position. It was only a short dash towards the stairs and he knew that soon he would have all the answers he needed.
With all of the speed he could muster, Pan rushed towards the stairs with his tail flapping behind him. No matter how fast he ran it seemed like the footsteps were only gaining on him and even increasing in numbers.
"I'll lose them on the third floor. Somehow." Pan thought to himself. He wasn't sure how he was going to do it but somehow he would just need to make some distance and break away from this chasing group.
Pan rushed down the stairs and was prepared to bolt into a room to hide when he was completely caught off guard by the sound of... nothing. As soon as his little paws touched the final step down into floor three; there was a sudden lack of any sound. No chasing footsteps, only the sound of his beating heart just like on the first floor.
Pan pulled out the final map and looked at it. There was only a set of stairs and a long path that led into the room that was being dug out. The very same path that was currently looming over the Kirbreon at this very moment.
"The guest has finally arrived" A voice rang out in Pan's head. It was calling to him.
Pan found himself walking down the hallway towards a pair of malevolent double doors.
"I've been waiting for you to show yourself."
Even if Pan wanted to turn around and leave he knew that he couldn't anymore. This voice wouldn't let it. His footsteps were not alone anymore. He turned his head slightly and could see what had to be a hundred knights marching in formation behind him.
"A stage has been set and the match comes to an end."
Those double doors opened on their own and revealed a magnificent and regal looking throne room. Despite being ancient and buried for thousands of years it looked like the sands of time had been repealed leaving this piece of history unscathed.
Pan could see a figure on the other side of the room sitting on a golden throne. It was another Galacta Knight but this time the armor looked... pristine. It wasn't dulled like all the rest. Just from looks alone Pan could tell that this was the leader. Pan marched all the way into the center of the room and then froze. Somehow he knew that was what he was supposed to do.
"I know that my father sent you to find me."
Pan's eyes went wide. He watched as the Galacta Knight jumped off the throne and took slow confident steps towards him.
"Jasper?" Pan couldn't see it but he could sense a smug smile crossing the Kirby's lips.
"He failed to understand just what was lurking in this temple. The power that was waiting to be taken." As Jasper marched ever closer the other knights began to encircle the duo. "As soon as I showed up I heard the voice calling to me. I worked harder than I had ever before to make it down here and now that I have, the reward of this power is mine!"
Jasper lunged forward, a sword and shield appearing in his hands in a blink of blinding magic. Pan raised a shadow ball to block the attack but the blow shattered right through it and sent the Kirbreon flying backwards.
"Holy shit he is fast!" In the time it took for Pan to even register those thoughts another slash sent him scrambling to the side. While the fake clones of Jasper were untrained and weak, this real one was something else. The speed and power of each blow was making it hard for Pan to even find an opening to strike.
Pan sent a shockwave of dark pillars through the ground that forced Jasper to fly into the air to dodge. Pan used his predictable air pattern to aim and launch a shadow ball right at him. Jasper didn't even bother trying to dodge and instead smashed the attack back towards Pan with his shield. Pan caught the counter with his nubs and tossed it back at the now charging Jasper. A single slash bisected the orb and Pan was smashed with a direct shield bash to the face.
"So this is the champion that so many people praise? You aren't even worthy of wearing my armor." Jasper kicked at the now fallen Pan. "You aren't even worthy of kissing my feet!" Another kick sent Pan rolling.
Pan was bruised and beaten but still he struggled to his feet. Even after taking so many blows he could still hear another voice in his head.
"Take your birthright and claim your rightful place!"
Jasper let out a low laugh at the woozy figure of Pan. Something about the exotic warrior sent chills down Jasper's back. His mind began to swim with a devilish idea.
"You know, I think I know exactly where you are going to belong. You belong in my chambers, tied up, tail raised, ready to serve me as my personal toy!"
Pan growled in response. This lunatic wanted to reduce him to nothing more than a common toy to be abused. Such arrogance made Pan glow with intense fury. His golden rings increased in intensity and dark purple swam around his body. Jasper didn't stand a chance when that intensified orb of darkness rushed right at him and blew his shield away.
Jasper couldn't even utter a single word as Pan rushed him with nubs that protruded shadow claws that slashed and ravished the set of once pristine armor. Jasper couldn't even stay conscious as the intense aura of pure darkness ate at his mind and filled it with overwhelming visions of nightmares, promises of what was to come for the little Kirby.
Such a one sided battle that seemed doomed from the start was turned around as a vicious nature unlocked and unleashed inside the righteous hero. Something clicked open during those moments and the voice that called to Pan was all too happy to walk right in.
One moment Pan stood above the knocked out Jasper and the next he was floating in the void of pure darkness. A familiar voice coiling around his senses
"You've done so well Pan. From the moment I awakened I could sense you, I could sense what you were capable of." The voice rang out.
"Just who the hell are you!?" Pan shouted out into the void of his assaulted mind.
"Who I am matters not. What I am is all that matters anymore."
Visions of an ancient civilization assault Pan's mind. Visions of a king who dominated his people with intense hypnotic magic. Turning those same people into imperfect copies of himself to serve eternally.
"Once I was a prince of a benevolent king who ruled his people with kindness. In turn I watched as they turned on my father, blaming the harshness of the world on him. This was a mistake I did not make. They banished me from the kingdom but after many years I returned with the magic to make them submit."
Pan grit his teeth together. "To do that to your own people, a cruelty beyond any other."
"Is it cruel, Pan? I know you have had the same thoughts. The world isn't perfect and yet with the right power you could make it that way."
The darkness that surrounded Pan gave way into visions of past events. People attacking each other in the name of greed, brothers turning on brothers just to get the upper hand. Sure there were good people out there but Pan knew from experience that for every hero there seemed to be ten villains ready to manipulate their way to the top. Villains that he had to stop every day.
"You could stop those villains before they even began. Your friends would be safe, the world would be in peace under your rule. And all you have to do is join me, submit yourself to my essence and be reborn."
It all sounded so wrong to Pan, at least at first. Yet the more that the voice wiggled into his mind the more it made sense.
"B-but I can't. My duty to p-protect. I need to protect... need to."
"True protection comes from power."
"True protection comes from power." Pan said out loud. He realized that his eyes had been closed this entire time and slowly he opened them. The armor that was shattered lay in a pool before him. It needed complete submission; Pan was happy to give it.
The large pool of liquid metal swarmed towards the Kirbreon and began to swirl up his foot and towards his backside. At first Pan was unsure as to what the substance had planned but soon it became all too clear as the liquid slipped over towards his overly tight and untouched pucker.
Pan fell forwards onto the ground with his tail raised and ass up for all his future servants to see as the liquid penetrated and filled him up.
"Relax. Change. Improve." Pan could feel his cock throb with untold excitement. His mind was being flooded with messages of pure pleasure as his prostate was being battered by a tidal wave of liquid. This metal soaked into his inner walls and began to change Pan from the inside out. He could feel himself growing stronger and his body becoming more durable.
The last of the liquid squirmed up his tailpipe with a satisfying plop and left the Kirbreon panting with a needy cock that ached for release.Even thought he was still horny as hell, and also a little sore back there, he stood up on his wobbly paws. Pan could feel a power surge inside him and his body began to turn to metal. His own flesh turned into armor, the same pristine armor that Jasper had been wearing.
He observed his new form and even noted that the armor had changed slightly to adjust for his fluffy tail and pointy ears, as well as becoming more obsidian colored and less magenta. More surprising however is how the armor suits around the room had also shifted and changed in the exact same way. Pan found himself in command of an entire army of endlessly loyal Kirbreon Knights.
Pan was a little worried at first that his body would be stuck as metal forever but thankfully after a little focusing practice he was actually able to shift back to normal. The one thing that didn't shift back however was the endless urge to dominate. The intimate merging had left Pan changed forever with a desire to use his new power to make everybody submit. And he had just the perfect target to start with.
Jasper was woken from his slumber by the soft furred nubs of Pan turning him on to his stomach.
"H-huh? What's going on?" Jasper stammered out.
"Not fit to be a champion you say, only fit to be a toy? I'm going to show you just who the real toy is." Pan prodded his still aching cock against Jasper's virgin ring and slowly rubbed it up and down.
"Pan! Wait! It was the armor talking before! You..." Jasper slowly cut himself off as visions of pure corruptive nightmares flooded his brain. The manipulative power of the old king combined with the dark corruptive aura was completely shattering Jasper's will faster than he could even form sentences.
"It's alright now Jasper. You are right where you belong now, where you will always belong. Now beg for me!" Pan thrust his cock forward and speared open the quivering hole. His silken walls gripped Pan's cock like a vice and made it hard to make any progress forward.
"Oh g-god! Nggggh!" Jasper was wiggling in painful pleasure. His mind was being fucked even harder than his ass was and it was impossible to fight it off. "Master!"
All resistance had faded by this point. Jasper let himself relax and allowed Pan's cock to bottom out inside him, even going as far as to have the knot slip inside of him.
As Pan roughly knot fucked his new pet he found his mind wandering to Lucus. How he had originally come down here to save his crew, to save his son. Now he was butt fucking his rescue target with such intensity that the sound of flesh against flesh could be heard as far away as the second floor all while the rest of the crew watched.
Maybe Pan would give Lucus the same job as his son, the two being able to bond over being the personal toys of their new king. Maybe he would have Lucus clean his cock off and give him a second hand taste of his son's ass. Such perverted thoughts completely dominated Pan's mind as he finally blew his load inside of Jasper's deflowered ass.
Pan slowly pulled his cock out of Jasper and watched in amusement as his cum leaked out of the Kirby's gaping hole. Pan's body hardened once again as he shifted into his armored form. He would need to capture Lucus before he called for help and then these new servants would get to work on fixing up the temple where Pan would rule Planet Popstar from.
