Chapter Two
When Kevin opened his eyes, he was immediately aware time had passed. His tie was hanging loose around his neck and the top two buttons of his shirt were undone. He was on the other side of the room, sitting on… How could he be sitting in a room with no furniture? Kevin looked down to see a thick section of Aaradhya’s tail beneath him. One of the snake’s huge arms was draped around his shoulders and Kevin had the feeling he’d been invited to join her. She was rotund, a soft belly hiding under her top, plus two full breasts to match. Being a python meant she lacked large fangs and, while the rest of her teeth were sharp to a point, her smiles were warm and friendly. The smoke from her hookah had filled him, the sweet scent clouding his brain until only simple, easy thoughts could come to him. Right now, he was caught on thinking how beautiful she was. Aaradhya was laughing at something Kevin had said, but he couldn’t recall what it was.
‘I’m glad to hear Will is doing well for himself, though it sounds like he hasn’t changed much.’
She drew from her hookah and Kevin, without thinking, leaned closer, hoping to catch some of her wonderful smoke.
‘But I want to know more about you, especially if you’re going to be working for me.’
‘Well,’ Kevin tried, suddenly feeling unprepared for an interview, ‘I’m hardworking, I’m—’
Aaradhya interrupted him with a wave of one hand. ‘None of that, please. Tell me about you. What are your desires? What do you crave?’
‘I’m… not sure I follow.’
Aaradhya’s smile cracked. For a moment she looked annoyed, impatient, but the expression was hidden as quickly as it had come.
‘Kevin, are you aware of the… services this establishment provides?’
Kevin managed to shake his head and, to his relief, Aaradhya’s smile remained.
‘Whatever the heart wants can be found here. No matter how deep, dark, or damning, we can make it happen. Before I can hire someone, I need to know what they’re capable of.’
Kevin was trying to listen to the snake, but the fog in his head meant her words drifted to him, coming slowly before passing by.
‘So, do you think you could work in such an environment? Could you satisfy a heart’s desires? My desires, for instance?’
His response wasn’t his own. The word came to him out of the fog, the only reply he had. ‘Yes.’
Taking a last draw from her hookah, Aaradhya replied, ‘Let’s find out,’ and smoke poured from her mouth.
