Chapter 11
Fallen Angel
As Julian watched Lenny walk along the grounds, he was immediately distraught. He always knew Lenny was alive, but he couldn’t believe what he was seeing! Lenny under the influence of Cailus Foxmorre?!
“What can we do about this, Master?” Chaos asked.
Egad looked over at the monitor. “We’re going to need to incapacitate him. If we can catch him, we may be able to get him out of Cailus’ grip.”
“I vote for that option!” Julian said with much more enthusiasm than he meant to show.
Everyone looked at Julian for a few moments.
“...It’s a long story, I’ll tell you about it when we are done.” Julian said. “For now, let’s come up with a working plan.”

Outside Egad’s Castle…
Angel Beast looked over the grounds, trying to figure out where Julian would be inside the castle. He remembered Cailus’ orders clearly: “Bring back Julian Montreal, the rest are expendable.”
As Angel Beast rounded a corner, he saw Julian, standing in the middle of the grounds among some cherry blossom trees. He was alone. Angel Beast sighed, maybe this would be easier than he originally expected.
The albino white lion quietly sneaked up to Julian, careful to stay in the horned lion’s blind spots. A couple times, Angel Beast had to take cover behind a tree as to avoid being spotted.
Finally, Angel Beast was in arms reach of Julian! He quickly fished out a tranquilizer gas canister from his belt, ready to administer it to the unsuspecting Julian…
Everything would have gone according to plan if Julian had not spoken three words that threw Angel Beast off.
“I’m sorry, Lenny…”
Angel Beast immediately paused. Had Julian seen him somehow?
Angel Beast did not get a chance to find out, as he was instantly jumped by Galen, Uniko, and Zhal! There was a great scuffle, as the four of them rolled through the dirt, punching and kicking at each other as they raised a large cloud of dust! Angel beast felt a sharp pain in his neck a few moments later, and after fighting a great deal to get out of Galen, Uniko, and Zhal’s grip, he felt something sticking out of his neck! Angel beast grabbed the empty hypodermic dart, only now realizing not just how late he was, but how greatly he miscalculated! Egad and his Coven had lured him into a false sense of security, and as he sank to his knees and deep into unconsciousness, he only had one question:
How did they know?
How did they know…?
How did they…?

As Bishop, Gareth, and Eli walked up to the unconscious Angel Beast slapping cuffs on his wrists, Galen stood in front of Julian.
“You know this guy’s real identity?” Galen asked.
“I do…” Julian said with a sad tone. “He’s Lenny Leoson. Before Cailus made him go missing, he was my fiance. We were going to be married…”
Everyone there immediately understood. No more explanations were necessary.
“Any ideas on how we can reverse what Cailus did to this poor soul?” Uniko asked.
“We’ll have to have Symon look him over.” Zhal said. “Though it might be best to keep Lenny under lock and key, so he doesn’t hurt anyone else.”

As Symon looked over the sedated Lenny Leoson, aka Angel Beast, he quickly was able to fry the chip with a small microwave emitter. After that, the tubes connecting his body to the chemical reservoirs on his belt and body harnesses. Once that was done, Symon quickly analyzed the drugs that were being pumped into his system through said reservoirs.
“This is quite the concoction…” Symon said. “The formula is designed to enhance his strength, agility and endurance. It also is laced with an intense aphrodisiac, which only seems to amplify the serum’ s other effects. Hopefully, he doesn’t have any major withdraw symptoms.”
“What about his mind?” Eli asked. “From what we’ve observed, his mind has undergone major mental reprogramming and indoctrination. That’s not going to be easy to break.”
“Maybe me and Father could help with that,” Tommy said, referencing him and Bishop. “We could use our psychic abilities to connect to his mind and revert the programming. It’s definitely doable.”
Julian looked at Tommy, eyes filled with desperate hope. “Are you sure?”
Tommy nodded. “The priests of Sepharth teach us how to mend broken minds when we go through our psychic training. Plus, the more Sepharthian Dragons involved in the healing of the mind, the more effective the result.”
Julian turned to Egad. “Can you let them try? If they can fix Lenny, he could help us.”
Egad thought it over. “...Very well. Just make sure you are careful. I’m not sure of all that Cailus did to him.”
“We will be careful, Master. We promise.” Tommy said, hugging Egad with Bishop.

After about six hours, Tommy and Bishop walked out of the room where Angel Beast was being kept. Tommy and Bishop looked tired.
Julian looked at them. “Were you able to help him?”
Tommy sighed, then smiled kindly. “We’ve managed to break the indoctrination that Lenny was under. His memories are still a haze, though. I believe they will come back, but it will take time.”
Egad and Julian breathed sighs of relief. Then Julian asked the question everyone knew was coming.
“Can I see him?” Julian asked, almost pleading.
Tommy looked at Egad. “That’s up to Master.”
Egad looked over at Julian. “...I think that would be best, but I’m going in too, just in case.”
