This story's prompt was: Size gambling with a godly being. Just because you are out of chips doesn't mean the game is over.

At the Golden Arena Casino, there was a special game played by those that ran out of money, but still wanted to bet. After all, everyone knows that most people quit gambling right before they hit it big. Take the story of one man that lost it all on slots, but the owner himself offered the man a deal.

"Why don't we play a special game? One more chance to win it big! If you do, you can get out of the hole you dug for yourself." The short deer man laid out his deal.

The man, thinking he could use this to turn his luck around, agreed. They get to a table and sit down.

"How about some blackjack? Easy enough to play, right?" The deer asks.

"Sure, that sounds good. What are we betting?"

"Yourself."

"Myself?"

"So every time you want to play, you need to bet some of your size vs. my chips. If you win, you keep both; lose, and you will get smaller. And we can keep going until you get what you want, or just get too small to want to keep playing."

The man was a bit confused about how it would all work, but agreed.

"I'll let you place the bets. I'll match with a sum of chips based on your bet. The more you do, the more you can win." The owner clarifies while shuffling cards.

The man looks at his cards and sees he has a total of 19 without an ace. The owner is showing a King, but he still feels like he has a good shot. "One foot." He bets.

The owner pushes in a stack of chips. "What is your move?"

"I'm going to stand."

"I'm standing too."

Both players show their cards, and the deer has two face cards, meaning the player loses. His height shoots down just like was promised.

"This is real?!" The man shouts out.

"Did you think I was lying? Come on, I'm sure you have to win one of these games."

The man had a feeling he should cut his losses, but the call of winning big overtook it. He nods, and the cards are dealt.

He looks at his cards and sees he has a 17 without an ace. The deer has a 6 showing. "I'll go one foot again!" The deer puts in the same amount of chips.

"What is your play?"

He thinks it's pretty risky to hit. "I'll stand." The player says.

"I got to hit." The deer draws a card and then shows off his hand. His first card was 8, his second was 6, and his last was 7. That's 21. The deer won again, and the player was now slightly shorter than the deer.

"Tough luck; I'm sure you can still turn this around." The deer says.

The man was starting to think he wasn't going to, but he had a foolish final gamble to make. "All In!" He says.

The deer looks surprised. "Are you sure?"

The man just nods, and the cards are dealt. The deer pushes in a huge number of chips. He looks at his cards and sees he has 15 without an ace again. "Hit me." He gets a 9, making him bust and shrink down to a speck. The deer laughs and shows he had 2 aces.

"It was funny to think you could beat me, the god of this place." He transforms from a short man to a hulking Adonis. No one else seems to see him. "I'm just too lucky for you, it seems." He laughs with his mask slipped before returning to "normal." He snaps his fingers, and one of the security guards comes to him.

"Yes, boss?" He says.

"See, our guest makes it out okay."

The security picks up the man and leads him out, while the deer waves and grins. Feeling happy, he got another chance to play a game with a sucker.
