Friend and Slave Ch. 3 - The Better Micro
After getting to his first class, Cole decides Nicas has had enough for now. He pulls his sock out of the bag and pulls the top open to peer inside. The light made Nicas wince as it filtered into the sock. The wolf looks up to see the looming face of Cole staring down at him before he feels the sock lower and the cold, hard ground push against his hands and knees. He swallows and slowly climbs out of the sock, staring up at Cole after he leaves for a moment and receiving a slight nod from the mouse. He quickly makes his way beneath Cole's chair towards the back of the room where the micros are kept during class.
The area that micros are accustomed to waiting in is not much more than a sectioned off corner of the room where most micros are allowed to congregate and talk softly or relax. Nicas walks through the entrance only to have a sudden force push him downwards. He yelps, writhing and starting to push up against whatever landed on him only to realize he knows the person atop him. He begins to relax and even smiles somewhat.
"Sorry, Ithen, I'm... a bit jumpy today, I guess." Nicas states while the badger rolls off of him.
"No problem. Guess you got in trouble this morning, eh? You smell like Cole's feet again." The badger replies with a bit of a nudge. "Why're you always in trouble anyway? Every other micro around here gets along just fine."
Nicas sighs a little bit, shrugging. "I don't know." He lies, remembering what Serenity said about him being defective. "Nothing changed for you when your master came of age? Nothing at all?"
Ithen shrugs, thinking for a moment before he answers. "I guess he may've wanted me to do a little more but... I just didn't care much. It makes sense to me; Phenc is my master, after all. Anyway, maybe you'll just have to get used to it, huh? I'm sure you'll come around." The badger pulls the wolf in for a hug.
The embrace helps a bit and Nicas squeezes back around the badger's shoulders. "Thanks, I hope so." The wolf sits up and leans back against the divider behind him, looking towards Ithen with a worried gaze. "It just seems like he's suddenly a different person. He's not the Cole I knew before..."
"You just have to do what they say is all. Phenc is perfectly nice to me except for the one or two times I screwed up. Even then, he keeps the punishments short and I remember not to make the same mistake the next time. Why did Cole get angry at you?"
"Well, I couldn't wake him up this morning. I tried to do it just as he asked me to... he wanted me to wake him gently, so I started rubbing at the sole of his foot try and get him to stir awake but then I became trapped beneath his heel when he shifted. I couldn't get up and... his mom had to come wake him up." Nicas speaks while Ithen stands.
"Well, you'll remember to do it differently next time, right?" The badger asks, peering back at Nicas for a moment before he walks over to grab a brush from nearby, returning to begin brushing over Nicas' fur to help straighten it out and make him more presentable.
Nicas smiles a little bit and cooperates, moving to give Ithen better access to the rest of his body. "If it weren't for you, Kiera and Sera I don't know what I'd do. I'm certain Cole would've already killed me. And I guess you might be right. Maybe it is me that needs to buckle down and accept that this is how things are..."
Ithen chuckles a little bit. "Yea, you'll have to just accept it. I've never heard of a micro having so much trouble, though. You seem honestly bothered by it all. You've always been a strange one, Nick, but I think that's why I like ya." He finishes brushing Nicas' fur and rubs over his head.
The wolf mmrfs as his headfur is ruffled before smiling up at Ithen. A shadow overtakes the two and both micros stare up to see the massive face of an otter hovering overhead. The otter brings his paw down and pets over Nicas' head. "Hey there, Nicas, doin' alright?" The otter asks before holding his palm face up on the ground for Ithen. "Comeon, Ith, class is over."
Nicas struggles slightly beneath the second petting and smiles. "Yes, master Phenc. I hope everything is going well for you too." Ithen, meanwhile, climbs into his master's palm and settles in place. "Seeya, Nicas. Goodluck with your master." He says gently, gaining him a confused glance from Phenc.
The otter looks down at Nicas again. "Is something wrong, Nicas?" He asks, peering closely at the wolf who begins to speak only to have Cole interrupt. "Nothing's wrong, Phenc, Nicas is fine." The mouse smiles, patting the otter on his back. Phenc pauses for a moment, then simply shrugs and grins. "Alright, catcha at lunch, Cole. Seeya Nicas."
Cole watches Phenc walk off before he reaches down for Nicas whom shies away from his fingers out of reflex. Cole frowns slightly, "Nicas, comeon." He says firmly and Nicas hesitates for a moment longer. Eventually, he shakes his nervousness and climbs into Cole's palm. He looks down at the palm of the giant mouse, trying to work up some courage before speaking. "I'm sorry, alright? I'm gonna try harder next time, master. I promise." Cole only sighs as if exasperated. "I hope so, Nicas."
"Will you forgive me? Please just tell me it's okay..." The wolf pleads, eyes staring longingly straight into Cole's
The mouse rubs the back of his head. "Yea... yea, alright, Nicas, it's okay, I forgive you. Just make sure you do it right next time." Cole smiles a little bit, bringing Nicas up to nose at him gently. "I can't stay mad at you, you know that, Nick. But... you've really got to do better in the future, alright?"
Nicas, overjoyed, flicks his tail quickly. "I will! I promise, Cole.." He smiles. "Thanks, master. I... I really hate to see you disappointed in me..."
Inwardly, Nicas feels a little crazy for being so happy that Cole isn't mad at him anymore. He has every right to be angry at the way Cole has been treating him. Still, seeing Cole smile made him feel like he were living in the older days again. He'd give anything to feel that way.
"I know, Nicas. I know you'll make me proud." Cole says while walking through the halls, petting his micro's stomach with a single, pink finger.
The rest of the first half of the day goes rather smoothly for Nicas. With the weight of Cole's disappointment off of his shoulders, the wolf finds the next two classes breeze by with him simply enjoying the company of the other micros. At lunch, after third period, Cole settles Nicas down at the table next to a huge slice of pizza. At least, it's huge to Nicas. The wolf smiles and waits patiently next to the plate for Cole to cut him a piece of his lunch.
Phenc and a few other giants come to settle at the table next to Cole, placing their micros down nearby Nicas. The wolf greets the others before being presented with a small slice of the pizza which he quickly begins to eat, flicking his tail at the wonderful flavor.
Ithen walks over to Nicas and settles down next to the wolf with his own lunch. "Hey, Nick." He grins, "You look better than you did this morning."
"Yea, I feel better." The wolf smiles before waving for another one of his friends to come over; a fox micro belonging to a rabbit that came to sit just after Phenc and Ithen arrived. "Hey, Ren." Nicas calls as the fox moves to settle next to the other two micros.
"Yo Nick, Ith, how's it goin'?" He grins a little, holding a piece of steak.
"Same old." Ithen calls while Nicas waves a paw dismissively. "Pretty well."
"I hear you were having some trouble, Nick. Everything okay?" The fox asks between bites.
Nicas peers over at Ithen. The badger never could stay quiet about anything. Still, everything seemed to be turning out okay. "Yea, everything is fine."
"Good ta hear, I think you'll just have ta get used to it or something. Remember he's your owner, your job is to make him happy." The fox smiles.
"Well, yea, of course..." Nicas states, feeling a little awkward now. He can't help but think that it would've been better just to keep his mouth shut instead of spilling the beans to Ithen, even if the badger was really good at cheering him up.
"It's a new trick a couple of the others are teaching their micros. They feel really good going down and the string ensures you can get them back without too much trouble." Phenc states while peering over to Cole.
"Yea, it's kinda weird feeling something live squirming down your throat. Ren is starting to get good at it. You should try training Nicas to do it, Cole. It's fun, the micros seem to enjoy it." Bast, the rabbit, speaks to the uncertain-looking mouse.
"Maybe." Speaks Cole while peering down at Nicas for a moment who had just started paying attention to the giants around him. He only heard the very last sentence or two of their conversation, but he could already tell he wouldn't like it was about.
"Watch." Says the rabbit who reaches to pick Ren up. The fox wriggles slightly just to get comfortable in his master's grip. "master Bast?" Ren asks while he has a string tied about his waist. "We're gonna show Cole our new trick. Ready?" Bast asks with a grin, opening his mouth.
Ren smiles and nods, flicking his tail. "Yes!" He states, peering into the wet, red interior of his master's muzzle. Bast drops Ren in and closes his muzzle, suckling on the fox and mrrling at the flavor. His tongue presses into Ren's belly and lets the micro squirm against the powerful muscle, covering the fox in saliva.
The fox micro finds himself tossed about his master's muzzle; pressed into the palate, tossed against the side of the cheek and ground between the cheek and teeth. Bast mrrls gently and, eventually, tilts his head back to let the little fox tumble back towards his throat. Ren gets into position quickly, making sure his muzzle presses down against his master's throat so that he'd go down head first and moments later Bast swallows hard, a visible lump travelling down his throat as the fox sinks down towards his belly.
Nicas' eyes widen as he watches the fox tied up and tossed into the giant rabbit's mouth. He lowers his ears, understanding what the giants were speaking of only moments before. He shivers at the thought, praying Cole doesn't want to do anything like this.
Cole watches with intrigue, feeling a little jealous of Bast at how obedient Ren is as well as wanting to try this trick for himself. He peers down to Nicas and frowns a little as he sees the wolf with his ears lowered and tail tucked. Ithen, on the other hand, grins and watches with interest.
"Glrrk, ggrk.." The rabbit gags as he pulls the string up, finally managing to push Ren back up his throat. He grins and dangles the fox by the string for a moment before placing him on the table again with a bit of a wet splat. Ren shakes his fur out and pants gently, wiping his paw over his face. "I think I'm gettin' better at it, Master." He says with a grin while Bast laughs and pets the little fox. "Indeed you are, little guy. See, Cole? Not too hard." Bast speaks while handing the mouse a clean string.
'Not this... not now, Cole...' Nicas thinks to himself while staring up at the giant mouse who seems to contemplate things for a while. "Comeon, Cole, try it!" Phenc cheers the mouse on while Bast nods in agreement. "Nicas can handle it. Right, Nicas?" Bast grins down at the wolf who just swallows and tries not to look afraid.
Cole lowers the string to Nicas. "Tie it around your waist, Nicas." He states, trying to smile down at the wolf to comfort him. Nicas looks at the string and shudders, taking it with a shaking paw before looking up to Cole again. "I... I dunno, Master. This seems..."
"Nicas." Cole states firmly.
The wolf shivers and nods quickly; wrapping the string around his waist like a belt, and then around his arms and torso like a harness to help keep himself upright. He breathes heavily and nearly yelps when Cole's fingers surround him and bring him up to the white muzzle of the mouse.
As Cole prepares to eat him, Nicas finds that he only becomes even more nervous. His hands pushing out against Cole's muzzle, trying to keep some distance between it and his body. "Please, Cole.. I-I mean Master Cole..." He corrects himself. The other two giants and their micros watch. The giants giggle at Nicas' fear, never having seen anything like it. Ithen and Ren look to one another confusedly, wondering why Nicas is so afraid.
The mouse, on the other hand, frowns and pulls Nicas away for a moment. "Do what I say, Nicas. You promised you'd try harder, right? Prove it, we can do this, you're a good boy. Now calm down, Nicas." He presses, wanting the wolf to accept this. 'Nicas can be just as obedient as Ren or Ithen, I just need to be more firm' he thinks to himself.
"B-but, please I..." He squeaks in fear as he's suddenly tossed into Cole's mouth. He struggles a little as Cole begins to swish him around, fearing the end of this little session which would surely end with him in Cole's stomach. He begins to panic, frantically pressing against Cole's tongue, struggling against a muscle much more powerful than his entire body.
"It does feel kinda good." Cole states, grinning to his friends as he suckles on the little wolf. The mouse tilts his head back, starting to work Nicas back towards his throat which only jolts the now completely panic stricken wolf into struggling harder.
Nicas feels his feet press against the back of Cole's throat and, in desperation, grabs the tongue with both his hands and tries to get a grip. When he finds that he cannot, instinct kicks in and he bites down into the flesh of Cole's tongue to try and both gain leverage and force Cole to spit him out. The taste of blood snaps Nicas out of his panic attack for just long enough to realize what he'd just done.
"Ouch! What the hell?" Cole quips as he reaches in the grab Nicas. He tugs at the wolf who immediately lets go of the tongue, bringing Nicas out of his muzzle and rubbing his finger over the spot on his tongue that was bitten, he looks at his finger, seeing blood covering the tip.
Now out of his master's mouth; Nicas thought he'd feel better, safer. The look in Cole's eyes has him wishing he were anywhere else right now, though. He can see a little blood running down Cole's tongue from the wound he'd made as well as the blood on Cole's finger. The other giants stare in surprise right along with their micros.
"W-what did you do, Nicas?" Ithen calls while Ren's tail lowers between his legs.
"His micro bit him..." Bast says, confused and intrigued.
"Is... is Nicas defective, Cole?" Phenc asks worriedly while Cole just holds Nicas in his paw, staring down at the wolf quietly as if he's unsure of what action to take now.
Time stands still for Nicas as he stares into his master's eyes. He can see the pain and anger, he knows it's coming but he's not sure of just how it'll manifest itself. "M-master, I'm... I'm sorry, I... I don't know..." He bites his lip, looking down. He feels as good as dead.
"Excuse me..." Cole says gently to the other two, standing and leaving while his fingers wrap around Nicas and squeeze firmly enough that the little wolf is winded and left in great pain. Nicas feels his bones bending, near the point of snapping from the mouse's grip. His lungs burn and his head is dizzied. Despite this, he can only think of what he just did. He'd bit Cole. He'd never done anything to hurt Cole in the past. Ever.
Serenity, sitting at another table, notices Cole storming off with Nicas. At first she thinks nothing of it, but a quick glance at the table Cole was sitting at only moments ago reveals two very worried looking students she knows as Cole's friends. She frowns somewhat and, after gathering Kiera, she smiles to her friends. "I'll be back..." before running off after Cole.
