A seven foot eight inch animalistic humanoid combining aspects of wolves and bears with green fur, orange stripes and a purple Mohawk in a black trench coat urban camouflage fatigues and combat boots walks in a Ford dealership as the humans already there stop what they are doing and stare at him. His eyes are hidden behind chrome mirror shades cybernetically affixed to his head and permanently anchored to his skull looks around, the purple diamond on his forehead providing a kind of focal point of where his attention is focused on. Management senses a new customer and sends in a salesbot to greet him.
"Good day, sir!" An animated television screen beams at the chimera as it floats in the air in front of his face, "Are you looking for anything in particular?"
"Yes, I was thinking of getting an Overlord," The wolf-bear replies, "I'm Kodyax Byzrrowulf if you would like to check my credentials."
People gasp as they realize this monster is a well known psychic bounty hunter, mercenary and all around street samurai who is rarely seen in public but whose exploits are a staple on U-View.
"Of course, sir, the Overlords are right this way," The virtual salesman says without a pause and floats over towards a line of sleek sort utility vehicles. "Any particular color you were thinking of?"
"Black," Kodyax says simply then gets a call on his PIDMA or personally integrated data management appliance which combines all the aspects of today's iPad, iPhone and iPod into one compact cybernetic device that is so ubiquitous that not having one is severely frowned upon. "Yeah, Mikiko, what's up?"
"Where are you?" An Asian woman demands to know as the blue haired girl appears on a video screen in front of him. "There's an expo at the Libertine Convention Center in Philly. Dad decided he wants you on hand."
"I'm at the Ford vehicle lot on the Roosevelt Boulevard in Philly actually," Byzarrowulf answers honestly. "I'll drive down when I'm done here."
"WHAT!?!" Musashi Mitsubishi, Mikiko's father and officially Kody's boss, cheimes in at full volume. "Kody, are you shitting me?"
"No, ser," Kodyax answers calmly, "I'm taking advantage of that NASVAR you added to my PIDMA."
"What are you getting?" Mikiko asks.
"An Overlord," Kody replies honestly, "That last job I did for you was enough to get one."
"Yeah, you did do a good job on that for me," Musashi says with pride. "And an Overlord is a good car to boot. Would you be willing to have the company logo painted on it?"
"Sure, I'm getting it in black," Kody reports.
Ten minutes later Kodyax is driving down the expressway into Center City Philadelphia in an armored black sport utility vehicle, which just so happens to be solar powered with an electric back up battery that is rechargeable, with a coiled Oriental dragon in metallic silver on the hood and sides. The vehicle is controlled by Kody's mind thanks to the computer set in the back of his skull which transmits his though commands to the vehicle's computer wirelessly. Another fifteen minutes and he's parallel parking his new car into a lot designated for visitors to the convention center.
Kodyax locks his vehicle with a thought and sets the security protocols before taking an elevator to the skybridge to the convention center itself. The attendant at the entrance is a mole for a chop shop gang and calls his buddies that there is a brand new Ford Overlord in the lot. Hi didn't really see the paint job on the car he just caught a whiff of that new car smell and thought he and his boys could make a killing.
In the convention center Kodyax's PIDMA is scanned and since Silver Dragon Security is a vendor and the lupursyn is part of that organization the security drones don't even turn from watching the bridge as he walks past. a heavily chromed male human of African descent and completely bald eyes him at the doors and sneers at fists before he recognizes the hybrid as a fellow mercenary. Hakim Jafar nods to Kodyax Byzarrowulf as he sends the signal to the automatic door to let him in.
"Hey, Hakim, Kodyax says warmly, "How's things?"
"Alright, I guess, Kody," Hakim returns, "I take jobs as I ca. You?"
"I'm more or less Silver Dragon property," Kodyax admits, "Boss's daughter called as I was spending my credits from my last job."
"Silver Dragon pays pretty god," Hakim states, "I've done freelance for them. What did ya get?"
"Ford Overlord," Kodyax says with a smirk, "Boss added a NASVAR to my PIDMA."
"Sweet!" Hakim shouts and then hands him a virtual business card, "If Musashi needs freelancers..."
"I'll make sure he gets this," Kodyax promises.
Security Expo Atlantyz is the largest convention of its kind in North America. While it's held in the city of Philadelphia in the province of Pennsylvania of the nation Atlantyz which stretches from the remains of Eastern Canada through what was Florida stretching down to Cuba it is open to security forces around the world. Representatives from companies across shattered North America's political landscape including the Republic of Texas which includes not just Texas but also Louisiana, Arkansas, New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma and pretty much the whole of what was Mexico, the North American Theological Coalition which has all the territory of the former United States and Canada not claimed by other nations on the same continent, the Nation of Latter Day Saints consisting of Utah, Nevada and California has only a toke showing in the convention as does the Western Union of Territories which includes the Yukon and Northwestern territories, Alaska, British Columbia, Washington state, Oregon, Idaho, Colorado, Montana and the Dakotas.
North American Theological Coalition (NATC/NAT-C is the short form for most folks) storm troopers are omnipresent and belligerent as they believe it's only a matter of time when God will deliver the wayward states under their collective boot heel. The white Christian cross symbol they use as their emblem is in the center of a black circle on red arm bands as they dress uniformly in all charcoal gray or blinding white paramilitary attire. Although the symbol is supposed to represent the purity and righteousness of Christianity shining as a beacon through the darkness of ignorance and sin many have other ideas based on how they see all others as slaves and only humans are acquitted the chance for full citizenship.
Kodyax stops by the Silver Dragon Securities booth as a NATC propaganda officer and his entourage is talking to Musashi Mitsubishi about joining their banner and discussing how he uses his non-human employees. There is a discrepancy as to what constitutes human between them as the NAT-Cs do not consider Kodyax to be human while Musashi does. A couple of NAT-C thugs look ready to get violent when Kodyax towers over them and clears his throat.
"Be quiet, beast!" A gray uniformed thug snarls, "Your betters are speaking and your opinion is not wanted."
"Quite right," A white uniformed superior of the gray suits states, "Monster like yourself should be seen and felt but not heard."
"That's not a bad idea," Musashi, a bald Japanese man in a black kimono with silver dragons in key places, says, "Kody, they really should feel your presence and feel it distinctly."
"Yes, boss," Kodyax says with a smirk and then takes both gray shirts by the neck and does a double noggin knocker that cracks their skulls so severely they fall unconscious and the turns to their commanding officer: "Feel me now?"
"How dare you!?!" The officer, who looks like he could be a clone of a certain professional wrestling organization's owner or at least his reincarnation shouts indignantly as he pro wrestler type thugs slowly get to their feet.
"Take your bull shit someplace else, Benedict Torquemada!" A blue haired Japanese both girl, whom Kodyax knows is Musashi's daughter Mikiko, growls, "Kody is one of best employees. He is paid as a human as he is no different than any human agent of yours!"
"An unwise business practice," Benedict Torquemada states darkly, "He should no be paid at all. Serving his human masters should be payment enough."
"I can take out this bit of white trash too, Musashi," Kodyax offers.
"No need, Kody," Musashi says and glares at Torquemada, "The Propaganda Minister was just leaving; weren't you?"
"I..."Propaganda Minister of the North American Theological Coalition Benedict Torquemada is about to say something when something in Musashi's stare tells him that he should move on, "Of course, another time you may be more open to the glory of God's chosen people. Come along, Sarge, Rocky."
"Yes, Sir!" Both say in unison as they glower at Kodyax.
"Zealous Jerks!" Mikiko growls as the NAT-Cs walk away. "If they represent what America stood for, I'm glad we no longer live that way."
"I'm certainly glad Silver Dragon is based in Atlantyz," Kodyax states, "How long were they here"
"Why do you think I called you in?" Musashi asks with a smirk. "They were belligerent to start with and most of my other operatives are too far to call."
"Gotcha," Kodyax accedes. "How long is the expo running?" Then he remembers something. "I saw Hakim Jafar on the way in." He hands off the card. "He's looking for work."
"Cyborgs like him are also sub humans according to those bastards," Musashi growls. "I can use him actually. The expo extends through next week. If he's available, I can use the extra manpower." Then he makes a call with his PIDMA: "Hakim? Musashi, are you on a detail? The perimeter? How long? I'll talk to the admins, I need a second guy at my booth so I can have Kody take Mik or me around as a guard. Yes, if you do well I'll take you on full time. I have your systems on file, Who do you use for upgrades?" He nods. "I use her at times myself. Alright, Hakim?" He turns to Kodyax. "Please tell me you're armed?"
"I left the chain sword in the car but I sill have my guns," Kodyax states.
"There's a situation on the bridge," Musaushi explains. "Help out."
"On my way," Kodyax states and draws his assault shotgun before dashing off.
Normally Kodyax doesn't move as fast as a human but he takes a breath and concentrates a minute before running at full speed. He can see a gang of humans dressed like Gangsta' rappers of the last century shooting round after round at Hakim. Kodyax knows Hakim's cybernetics are tough but they don't cover everywhere as the cyborg does his best to fight back but there are ten of them and they've already taken out the drones.
Mikiko disappears from her father's table with a space age katana in her hands. She plans to take out gangbangers while Kodyax distracts them as she's wired herself. Hakim is rocking and rolling with an assault rifle as Kodyax lets loose with his shotgun.
Kodyax loves his assault shotgun in situations like these as it truly becomes a room broom of doom in his capable hands. He cycles through a full clip of ten shots and takes out half of those originally attacking and all twenty reinforcements coming in from either side of the floor to overwhelm Hakim in a pincer move. The trench coat doesn't look pretty but it's almost armor for the wolf-bear and protects him from the worst of the firepower of the opposing force.
Hakim gets three gangbangers before he gets taken down by a lucky shot by the last two. Kodyax concentrates and uses his psychic powers to heal Hakim as Mikiko decapitates one of the other two before getting shot herself. The humanoid lupursyn growls and draws his hand cannon as he glowers at the remaining enemy.
The survivor thinks she can take Kodyax as Mikiko slumps to the floor leaving a blood mark on the wall behind her. Kodyax fires his hand cannon one an splatters the black beauty's brains all over the corridor window looking out onto Market Street. Mikiko is ready to join her mother as she remembers her in death when she feels healing energy flow into her, saving her life as she sees Kodyax's hands glow as if confirming that she and her father have suspected all along: Kodyax is an unregistered psychic as well as everything else, a fact she smiles to in appreciation of as she would miss sleeping with the wolf-bear if she died.
"I thought I was dead," Mikiko croaks as she comes to, "Kody, you saved me?"
"Yeah," Kodyax states as if it were no big deal.
"I know you're not a medic," Hakim says in inquiry: "Are you a zeek?"
"Yeah," Kody admits, "I don't advertise that fact so keep it under your hat please? Both of you."
"I know dad suspects," Mikiko states, "He needs to know Kody, it won't disappoint him. It will be something we keep in mind for certain jobs."
"You got a channel open, Musashi?" Kodyax asks facetiously, "I heard you suspect that I'm psychic; I'd like to confirm that."
"Good to know," Musashi's voice booms over an open line to him and Mikiko, "How may powers and what kinds?"
"Just three: Environmental Adaptation, Healing and Speedy," Kodyax admits.
"Is that how you were able to swim to the sub carrier?" Musashi asks to which Kody just nods, "You startled folk shitless with that stunt."
"So I've herd," Kody says with a smirk.
"I take it the sub wars underwater at the time?" Hakim asks.
"Yup," Kodyax says simply, "I came in through the underwater demolition team hatch."
"Without a SCUBA suit I might add," Mikiko states when they hear an explosion coming from the parking lot, "What was that?"
"Trouble," Kodyax states and as he holds up his hand cannon and goes across the bridge.
"Why do I get the impression that the insurance he bought is going to be needed?" Mikiko says with a frown, "Dad, are terrorist acts covered by the policy?"
"In this day and age it should be standard," Musashi states with a chuckle, "By the way the dealership is already complaining. A replacement is en route."
"I want to see what blew up my new car; if I need replace my club and sword," Kodyax states with a growl, "If I do someone is getting a trip to the morgue."
Kody's form blurs a little as he sprints across the bridge as more explosions can be heard. When he gets to the level where the explosions are coming from Kodyax hast a bit of a horror show waiting for him as a fleshy blob , the height of a semi and about as wide, towers in the parking lot in a roughly pyramidal shape. It has no limbs or a discernable front or back, just eyes and mouths in random places gibbering madness before one of the mouths spits forth a grenade of some sort.
White phosphorous hangs impossibly in the air with the smell of napalm in such quantity that it's almost nauseating. Occasionally a battle cry or a sergeant's order can be clearly heard among the audible sea of random verbal isms which only worsens the fog of war that has already descended. The only saving grace is the when Kodyax blasts it with his shotgun there is a scream of pain and the thing moves away.
Kodyax finds his melee weapons missing which annoys him even more as he fires round after round at the monster while growling obscentites. The electrified nightstick is not as much a loss to him as his chain sword as he used that in some lucrative splatter films that were a blast to make. After cycling through five whole magazines the thing finally breathes its last and dissolves into a mass of rotting flesh.
Men in black suits and scientists in HAZMAT suits appear about a half an hour after he incident and clean up the mess as they quarantine the whole parking lot for the rest of the week. While the work in the parking lot begins Kodyax is stalking the stalls to replace his close combat weapons with Mikiko not far behind as per her father's instructions. Irion Cross Security Outfitters gifts him with a replacement Thug-Thumper 3000; their latest model as he was overdue for a trade in and they heard what he did earlier.
Ultra-Punk has a holographic poster on display at their booth of Kodyax as the Bloody Beast of Boston, a scream flick he did years before he started his current path. Horror Head Games incorporated, a subsidiary of Ultra-Punk that does media for video in both movie and game forms, hold the rights to the film that is considered "Classic Carnage" in the genre of splatter/slasher films. A Psycho-Slasher 6000 is on display with a limited number in stock for select clients.
Sally Slaughter, a scream queen and stock holder of Ultra-Punk, recognizes Kodyax as soon as he walks by the booth. The blonde haired, blue eyed human femal looks like a porn star, and Kodyax knows she is one under a related subsidiary of Ultra-Punk, Putrid Pink Productions but under another name. Crud's "Bomb Bomb" plays as she slinks up to Kody as Mikiko fumes in the background.
For the delight of the crowd, Sally has Kody perform a stunt to "win" a free Psycho-Slasher 6000, namely he has to fuck her in front of everyone. Madame Slaughter knows that Master Bysarrowulf is not shy about this sort of thing and she's not had the pleasure of the monster inside of her since they filmed the sequel to the first Bloody Beast of Boston in which he "raped and killed" her on camera. Kodyax responds to the challenge by first stripping off the string bikini she is wearing and suckling her tits to get started as everyone stops and stares, Musasgu is watching the proceedings at this booth semi secretly with his own PIDMA showing him the scene on a grid screen open so only he can see it as he interacts with customers and potential recruits.
It doesn't take much to get Kodyax Byzarrowulf randy and after suckling white bread tits a minute he has to adjust his pants and let his purple cock come out. Sally spreads herself and waits for his invasion which Kody is only too happy to oblige. Kodyax slides his sausage into and almost totally out Miss Slaughter's box as many in the crowd get a stiffy just watching the free porn show.
The human woman lays on a counter top as the big bad wolf-bear takes her in measured strokes. Folks take pictures of him as the walk by, as some caught his act at the Ultra-Punk booth and others know him from the various other videos he's done featured both on inter-webs and old fashioned DVDs.
Mikiko seethes with jealousy as more and more females, human, chimera, hybrid and anywhere in between come by and flirt with Kody. She flirts with the guys as part of her duties as booth babe but a part of her wants to get Kodyax to her hotel room as soon as possible. Her father notices her agitation and when it's time to go to dinner they head for Penn's Landing and the Mushulu, a tall ship converted into a fancy floating restaurant.
The maître'd refuses to allow Kodyax entry, citing a policy disallowing animals into the restaurant proper. Musahsi argues that is a chimera, a sentient human-animal hybrid but the big black bald human host will hear none of it; holding fast to company policy. In retaliation, Musashi cancels their reservation and their contract with the corporation managing the Mushulu; going so far as to order those on duty to leave their posts right that very moment.
Armed security guards of pure human stock angrily parade past the host with many giving him the finger as they pile past him. The realization of just who he slighted dawns on the human as even the systems operator, a purple folf bitch with orange stars in the same places Kodyax has his purple stars and his diamond as well as the same set of colored stripes that Kodyax has, but otherwise the colors of her fur are the reverse of the lupursyn's, kicks him in the groin as the lights and computer systems crash due to a virus she let loose to add injury to insult so to speak. Fortunately for the former pro-baller for the Seventy-Sixers he still has his job when tentacles reach up from the Delaware River to grab and drag him down under the water to whatever monster owns said tentacles and decided he would make a decent snack.
Aurora Oddity, the lady folf who was the programmer protecting the Mushulu's web presence, joins Kodyax and the Mitsubishis on the steam punk era riverboat further up the Delaware from the Mushulu seconds before it leaves the dock at Penn's Landing. Mikiko isn't too pleased when Aurora joins them as it means Kodyax will not be as attentive to her as the lupursyn and the folf are often an item when the pair aren't on assignment apart. In fact they entwine tails when they get to the buffet which really irritates Mikiko.
"I'm glad I forbade you to get that feline infusion you wanted," Musashi teases as he looks at his only child, "If you actually became a neko your tail would be ready to trip somebody now."
"Byzarrowulf might actually pay attention to me if I was a neko," Mikiko grumps, "Is there something special in his gene code that makes her so attractive?"
"I'm not sure," Musashi admits honestly, "I know in the furry community wolves and foxes are often an item. Maybe something on that front?"
"That's probably it," Mikiko says with a heavy sigh.
After a few plates of traditional American cuisine, fried chicken, cheese steaks, hot dogs and fries, Aurora and Kodyax take their mugs of beer and take to the balcony to enjoy the nocturnal atmosphere on the river. They let their PIDMAs tune into the on-board radio and hear Madonna's "Crazy for You" which makes them start to dance close to each other, with a nuzzle exchanged every now and again. When Kiss's "Raise Your Glasses" comes up they then silently toast each other with their beers and continue to enjoy each other's company.
While the riverboat is travelling up the Delaware beach ball sized red eye spots open up in the waters on the starboard side of the Mushulu as mist surrounds the boat. The owner of the Mushulu is having a heated argument with Musashi when tentacles materialize out of the mist to start taking the ship apart. More tentacles keep appearing until the tall ship is swamped with them.
Musashi is annoyed when he is cut off from the Mushulu but helps himself to couple of bacon cheeseburgers and fries as he waits for two of his better operatives to return as his daughter pouts her way through eating an Italian hoagie. They come back with meatballs, hot sausage, spaghetti and gravy in separate bowls which puts frowns on a few faces of the children around them who were apparently hoping for a Disney moment but as soon as they hear the song "Bella Notte" they switch to "Beauty and the Beast" as sung by Stevie Knicks and their pasta bowls in relative peace as they text each other.

When the riverboat returns to her dock the site where the Mushulu was can be seen but the ship is gone. Aurora and Kodyax rush over to where it was and the only signs it was there are the buildings and gangplanks leading up to it are all there and some planks floating in the water. The folf closes her eyes and concentrates a moment before looking at the scene with enhanced perception.
Aurora demands Kodyax take her away from the scene at once due to what she sees with her second sight. Mikiko is ready to yell at both of them when the armored sport utility vehicle arrives and the hybrids get in. Musashi is more concerned about what happened to the Mushulu.

"How nasty?" Kodyax asks without taking his eyes off the road in front of him.
"Elder evil, nasty," Aurora admits. "I couldn't ell if it was directed or just random."
"More of this shit," Kodyax says as he rolls his eyes a little but not enough to distract his driving. "Neo-Atlantis all over again."
"You think it's following you?" Aurora asks.
"I hope not," Kodyax sighs, "I was enjoying myself there but a fucktard on the Mushulu denied me entry."
"They usually just fuck with folks," Aurora reasons, "But you may have given it an excuse whatever it was."
Driving down the expressway towards the North Eastern portion of the city a gang of bikers dressed like skeletal demons begin to harass the SUV as they begin to surround the car. Kodyax swerves to the right and knocks one biker off his hog which cause the rest of them to take out crowbars and beats on the vehicle. Aurora loses her window as she causes a ghostly grenade of pure energy to manifest in her and tosses it outside before returning the window to its former position. The phantom grenade goes off and takes out three bikers who at this point decides to cut their losses and find someone easier to harass as Mikiko rides after them on her own motorcycle as a couple of the bikers that were going after Kody decide to pick on her.
Mikiko takes out a kusari-gama or sickle on a length of chain and sends the blade whirling above her head as a threat display. The bikers are unimpressed as two of them come up with a dominatrix looking woman in a side car takes out a sniper rifle and takes aim at Mikiko's head. While the SUV is too well protected to take a shot the bitch on the bike is an easy shot and the Queen of the biker takes it as soon as she can line it up.
Neither Aurora nor Kodyax heat the shot that takes out Mikiko but Mushsshi knows when Mikiko dies from a life monitor on her that he bought years ago. Highway Patrol calls Musashi to tell him the bad news to which he sighs and makes an appointment to identify his daughter at the morgue. Musashi also makes a call to a biological entity company he has on speed dial.
In North East Philly the interstate becomes known as Roosevelt Boulevard as Kodyax drives under Cottman Avenue on his way to his apartment. Minute Man sector securities pulls Kodyax over on a routine check and after checking his credentials lets him go on his merry way without any fuss. Silver Dragon Security and Minute Man may be rivals but they respect each other as professionals, so the dark haired Caucasian officer just does the minimum and records the fact that everything was in order.
Aurora brings to Kodyax's attention the fact some of the tall buildings here seem to have added gargoyles to the architecture. Kodyax notes them with some apprehension as he pulls into the apartment complex he lives in near Welsh Road. He thinks he sees one of the gargoyles move which really sets him off.
"You're more of a sensitive than me," Kodyax asks, "What do you get from those things?'
"You don't think they're statues do you?" Aurora asks in an alarmed tone as Kodyax just shakes his head. "Kodyax you're scaring me but alright..." She closes her eyes and sinks into her seat a little. "I hate it when you're right, they have no faces."
"Shadow slaves," Kodyax growls, "I wonder why..."
"Did you piss off any execs lately?" Aurora asks only half seriously.
"I may have pissed off an executive at the Pleasure Dome but he was into some dark stuff," Kodyax returns with a slow shake of his head.
"Sato Tanaka?" Aurora asks to which Kodyax heaves a heavy sigh and just nods which also worries her. "He's suspected of dealings in black magic."
"Including stuff to do with the Dark Ones?" Kodyax asks fearfully to which Aurora gives him a grim nod as he parks his car. "Great, what are you packing?"
"Gyrocket, I can't handle that hand cannon you whip around like a fucking water pistol," Aurora responds indignantly with a sly smirk on her muzzle. "I'm a combat hacker and a remote viewer not a ground pounder like you."
"That could work in our favor actually," Kodyax says with a smirk. "They don't detonate until you tell them to do they?"
"Yeah, if you're thinking what I think you're thinking," Aurora says with a dangerous smirk, "I'm right with you, lover."
Aurora gives Kodyax a kiss on the cheek before they both get out of the vehicle with weapons drawn. The "gargoyles" leave their posts and fly down to confront the hybrids as the make their way from the parking lot to the lobby of the apartment complex. It's about this time that a flaming envelope appears on the edge of Kodyax's peripheral vision indicating he has an urgent e-mail to red.
Kodyax physically double taps the area in is sight where the icon pops up and a hyper screen materializes in front of him to read the missive that drew his attention. The e-mail in question is a mass e-mail warning residents of the complex that a monster has been killing visitors and residents in the parking lot by being dropped from the top of the buildings. Kodyax sighs and shakes his head about the timing of the warning when a follow-up e-mail arrives to him personally with an employment offer in exterminating the monsters for a year or two pre-paid rent.
Hedging his bets, Kodyax forwards the e-mailed contract to Musashi just before he knocks one of the five things out of the sky with a single well placed shot. Aurora fires a miniature rocket from her pistol with a gyroscope guidance system that hits an incoming shadow slave but doesn't register the hit at first as it swoops in a near miss over her head. As it climbs to make another attempt, Aurora yells "BANG" which causes the payload to explode and it winks out of existence amid a bit of pyrotechnics that would make a certain film maker smirk in appreciation .
Another shot from Kodyax blows a big hole in one of the things and the rest crumbles into nothingness as the lupursyn dances his way towards his original destination while lining up his next shot. The scene becomes a combination of Hong Kong Action Theater and Lovecraft as Kodyax moves expertly while keeping his firing arm steady. Aurora on the other hand has to make a break for it when the opportunity present itself as she fires blindly in the general direction of a shadow slave bearing down on her and screaming the activation code word in the hopes of distracting it at the least.
By sheer luck Aurora manages to get a head shot as she runs and does her best to hide behind Kodyax in hopes he will protect her. She moves as he moves which, considering he moves at half speed compared to her and most normal human beings, is relatively easy to do as he moves to avoid shadow slaves attack while still aiming to take them out. Kodyax's aim is true with each shot as the monster fade away s if they never existed even as their victims stay dead.
The pair are treated to a hero's welcome when they enter the building as humans, hybrids and simulacrum where watching the fight intensely. Kodyax tries to downplay everything citing his mercenary background and occupation as a bounty hunter as part of the reason he could take them down as he did. Unfortunately for his modesty but fortunately for his reputation nobody believes a word of it; although they respect him as a humble neighbor not wanting to brag about his combat abilities and just live as he has always done: Well, but not extravagantly and quietly as possible.
The managing AI records Kodyax as having fulfilled his half of the proposed bargain s he makes his way to the elevator. Walking out onto the tenth floor the accolades continue as neighbors where watching the apartment complex's own security channel and they saw what he did as many females are rather scantily clad which both amuses and annoys Aurora. Kodyax smiles and holds Aurora's hand and they make their way to his apartment.
Aurora laughs behind closed doors as Kodyax is slightly embarrassed by all the attention as goes to the Tiki bar in his living room and plays some Martin Deny, Gene Raines, Arthur Lyman and other Exotica artists so they can just relax. The bar is made of bamboo with lava lamps and fake palm trees lending it a true Tiki theme. Tiki statues and prints of Shag and Tiki Shark are everywhere as all his tableware from plates and silverware to glasses and mugs have the same theme with many of the drinking vessels originally created by Tiki Farm and some of the tableware having the logos Tiki Bar TV and the Zen Tiki Lounge among other things.
Kodyax just smirks as he makes them Sunshine Tiki's Sand Pirate and serves it in a Tiki Farm mermaid bowl. The pair salute "Bela Lagosi has a Zombie" by Brad Parker, aka Tiki Shark, before taking their first sip. In fact Kodyax's apartment has all of Tiki Shark's classic movie monster paintings as framed posters as a testimony to his love of the past and especially the twentieth century.
"If we get marries," Aurora teases, "Our honeymoon will be in Hawaii, won't it?"
"Possibly," Kodyax returns, "You've never made much commentary on my choice of décor before."
"I'm just noticing it now really," Aurora admits, then notices a weird tune playing in the background, "Is this that Friki-Tiki project you were talking about?"
"Yeah," Kody admits. "Your opinion?"
"Not bad," Aurora says, "But I'm thinking of other things. Your bed is Tiki themed right?"
"Yeah, I got a nice deal on a Hawaiian water bed on the spider market." Kodyax says with a smirk. "Is my lady feeling frisky?"
Aurora responds by getting up and sashaying towards his bedroom with a "Come Hither" stare that Kodyax does not hesitate to wordlessly just obey and follow her. The bathroom is on the way to the bedroom with a bamboo hamper just outside the hand carved Tiki door into which they deposit their outer garments except Kody's armored duster which gets hung on a peg before they proceed into the bathroom and ultimately into the shower. Kodyax's shower is big enough to accommodate both of them with the water coming down like a waterfall and a tropical paradise lagoon theme on the glass door outside and the tiling in the shower itself as the shampoo used for their fur is utilized more like body wash than anything else.
Kodyax spends much of his attention on Aurora's breasts and groin while she is focused on his sheath and scrotum.
