Haunting Revelations

Haunting Revelations Only the creak of the house settling could be heard, but even that echoed through the hallway like a drum in Sasha's ears. Something was out of place but she couldn't put her finger on it, nothing looked off, but the darkness the engulfed the hallway was very foreboding, and only became more so as she padded slowly along the hall, one paw sliding along the railing that led downstairs as she cautiously entered the shadows. In shades of grey the walls gradually formed out of the dark, outlines of photo frames and a bookcase adorning the hallway now as the blue furred vixen wandered closer to her parent's room. Suddenly Sasha froze, senses itching and ears twitching wildly as the echo of a thud rung from downstairs. She couldn't see any lights on from the top of the stairs but she was certain her parents were asleep in the next room; she didn't know them for being the type to have midnight snacks. With a strong hint of caution and a pinch of curiosity Sasha stepped lightly down the stairs, pausing nervously at every wooden creak as she tried to get a better look at what had made the sound. By now her eyes had adjusted to the lack of light, padding lightly through the slightly less obscuring blackness as the vague outline of the front door formed in front of her. It was hard to make anything out in the darkness but Sasha knew her way around like the back of her paw for the most part, knowing her way around though wasn't much of a comfort as the next thing she heard almost gave her a heart attack. Out of nowhere a bluish light flashed on seemingly from the lounge room and after a couple of seconds the sounds of late night news broadcasting rung through the lower floor of the house. Scared stiff the young vixen wanted little more than to run back up to her room and try to wrap her head around what she was seeing, but a natural curiosity and the desire to make the unnerving noise stop drove her into the family room. The TV remote was not where she remembered it being though, it wasn't even near the TV at all, in fact it was on the floor next to the coffee table rather than sitting idly in the middle of it. Confused Sasha picked up the remote and switched the TV off, glad the intrusive sound had stopped she placed the remote back on the table and turned to leave. Suddenly though, apparently of its own volition the TV came back on, frightening the girl much more than the first time as she turned to see the remote had once again moved. Certain it couldn't possibly have done that itself Sasha started to tremble a little, thinking there was no way this could be happening. Shaking almost visibly she picked up the remote and once again turned the TV off, knowing that if it happened again she would be retreating to her room and hiding. A few seconds after she put the remote down and nothing happened, much to the vixen's relief the screen remained blank, even as she reluctantly turned around, expecting her worst fear to be realized, there was not a sound to be heard in the lounge room. Everything was quiet again, but it was also dark again which didn't help Sasha's comfort level much, the silence didn't last long either as the moment she reached the stairs Sasha heard a loud and distinct shattering noise coming from the kitchen. There was just no way, now way this could be happening, the vixen was starting to think she was going insane, but having heard the TV turn itself on twice when there couldn't possibly be anyone else around she knew she wasn't just seeing things, though she dearly hoped she was. "Who's there?" Sasha inquired nervously as she approached the kitchen, a sudden chill filling the air as she reached the sink where she saw a broken bowl strewn about the floor, but there was more. It was hard to make out at first but as she looked closer Sasha's eyes shot open in horror and shock, the words "BEHIND YOU" scrawled in what looked like blood on the floor. The vixen was utterly frozen in fear now, and almost as soon as she'd read the frightening message she felt a rush of wind wash over her from behind, the powerful scent of salt water causing her to turn around and promptly scream at the sight of two glowing emerald eyes staring at her. "Saaaashaaaaa..." An incomprehensibly otherworldly voice echoed from the nothingness, calling to the vixen repeatedly as a sudden shove jolted her from her sleep. "Sasha, wake up sleepy head, we're here." Contrary to her mother's soothed and happy demeanour Sasha awoke with a start, but quickly calmed as the sun beamed its warmth down into the car reminding her that she was safe from her bad dream. "C'mon, everyone out, let's get all this stuff inside." Her mother said as they climbed out of the car to greet the late morning light, there was much work to do and no time was wasted on untying the family's belongings and hauling them all inside. Noon came and went almost entirely unnoticed as Sasha and her parents shifted furniture and other valuables every which way around their new home, but after a short lunch break they were right back into it. Choosing a bedroom was like being in a candy store for Sasha, the master bedroom was claimed outright by her parents but she had free range over the remaining three rooms at the other end of the upstairs hall. Eventually she settled on one directly across the hallway and ran downstairs to help get her bed up and into the room so she could start planning its layout. Once all of her things were upstairs the vixen started to play around with different setups for her room with considerable energy, it was hard not to be excited when moving into a new home after all. In the middle of moving her bed into place though she was interrupted by her equally upbeat parents. "Having fun there?" Her mother asked, the smile on her face undeniable as Sasha perked up as well, she had been strangely enthusiastic about moving for a teenager but her parents took it in stride. "We thought you might like to see this, it's a flyer for the high school nearby." Her father pointed out the leaflet in his paw, like every school it was intensely self-praising but Sasha was no stranger to school pride being that she was still gaining an education. Dawn Woodward Senior High, to Sasha it looked like any other school she might attend but it wasn't worth judging by the layout of its flyer whether it was a good school or not; they all were according to their own reference material. With the info sheet resting loosely on her desk the vixen quickly finished up final rearrangements for her room, which gave her time to help with the furniture in the rest of the house, it was starting to look a lot like her old house except that everything was essentially newer and laid out almost exactly opposite to her old home, like someone had built a mirrored version of the same house and given it a once over to make it look new. Once everything was done, all the furnishings in place, each photo in its designated space on a wall or on a shelf, Sasha went back to her room and sat on her bed, reflecting on the friends she had and whom she'd left behind, as well as a distant what that she never could find a name for. With her laptop though the young vixen knew she'd never be far away from her old friends, but that wasn't to say she wasn't interested in gaining new ones. That night since they hadn't fully settled in yet Sasha had willingly agreed to have take-away for dinner at a close by fast-food joint, and with dinner gotten they sat around the lounge room and watched some TV together, it wasn't often that they did this anymore but it was a very special occasion so exceptions could be made. There was an air of familiarity in the lounge room as Sasha ate her dinner, it did look a lot like their old house after all, but she couldn't help but feel there was something more behind it all. After a great night's sleep in her new home the next day greeted Sasha in a typical summer fashion, Sasha welcomed the warmth and awoke quickly to a house in full swing, her parents seemed hurried but when her mother called out to her "Sasha! C'mon honey we've gotta be ready and out the door if we're gonna get you enrolled in school on time." Sasha was surprised, but quickly returned to her room to get herself ready, thinking there was no way she'd be able to get properly ready judging by how hasty her parents seemed, so she had to throw on the first thing she found. Feeling somewhat self-conscious and a little bit embarrassed, Sasha stayed relatively silent as her parents did most of the talking, only when she was asked something did she decide to break her silence. The process was relatively painless, just like she'd hoped it would be they were back home by midday which gave her the rest of the day to do as she pleased, which circulated around the combination of anxiety and excitement that going to a new school normally entailed so she distracted herself by helping to unpack more things from the numerous unopened boxes still present in the house. Overall the young vixen had thought it a good day, and it continued to be just that through dinner, and into dessert when it was ice-cream all around while they sat and watched TV together. Out in the kitchen Sasha had the ice-cream tub open and the bowls with respective spoons ready to go, and in no time at all she had prepared the desserts and after taking out two of the bowls out to her parents she suddenly paused in the kitchen doorway. Confused, the vixen eyed her bowl with some degree of curiosity and interest, it was on the opposite bench to where she could swear she'd put it and the spoon was among the ice-cream rather than just beside the bowl. Strange she thought, but she figured she must have moved it to carry the other bowls out and had simply not taken notice. It felt like only a few minutes but by the time Sasha started getting ready for bed it was quite late, but since it was a Friday she indulged in the lack of any kind of curfew but being tired limited that chance. An oddity similar to her ice-cream bowl down in the kitchen came to light in the bathroom, her toothbrush for some reason was on the other side of the sink, but as before she assumed she must have moved it there herself at some point. She could have sworn she hadn't but it seemed obvious no-one else could have done it since none of her parents' stuff was touched, the apparent phenomena a source of intrigue as Sasha drifted off to sleep, anticipating an awkward first day at her new school . The night before her first day at her new school Sasha hadn't slept particularly well, the anticipation and anxiety of first-day jitters were no less prominent today than they had been on past first school days. The thing that made this time more daunting was that it was the middle of the year; suddenly she would have to try and keep up with other students that had a solid six months head start. "Ok honey we're here, have a good day ok?" The vixen's mother snapped her out of her anxious trance, this was it, as Sasha stepped out of her parent's car and eyed the building that laid before her she took a deep breath, and headed towards what she hoped would be a smooth assimilation into the student body. The first thing she had to do was find the admin office and get her timetable, luckily it was easy to find and after a quick exchange of details she was on her way to her first class, both very nervous and very excited as she searched for her classroom. It was only natural that she'd end up lost, but luckily she spotted someone down one of the halls leaning against a locker, but she didn't approach right away. The snow leopard looked far from the approachable type; everything on her was black, her boots, skirt, jacket, hair, and equally noticeably her eye shadow as their eyes locked in a brief moment of mutual assessment. "You lost?" The feline asked bluntly, as if it was laughably obvious and she was simply asking out of recognition of the same problem she once had. Taken aback by the sudden question Sasha's nerves got the better of her, thinking. "Is it that obvious?" Her pause was enough of an answer to the feline across the hall, first day nerves were always easy to spot after all. "Show us your timetable, I'll tell you where to go." Reluctantly Sasha approached the larger girl, glad for the help but intimidated by her forwardness and dress style. "Same class as me... it's just down there." The snow leopard pointed towards where their classroom was, which was just as well as not a moment later the bell rang to signal the beginning of class. Not wanting to be late even though it wasn't far to her classroom Sasha started down the hall but paused about halfway along to look back at the dark girl that gave her directions, she hadn't moved at all even though the bell had rung. "Um, aren't you going in?" The vixen asked, but the feline simply shrugged and mumbled something that sounded like "maybe" but there were no signs of movement other than her mouth. By the time Sasha stepped into her classroom she found she had gotten in right on time, or at least she thought she had, only a few seats had been taken and she wanted to meld into the class smoothly as possible, but she'd just barely found a seat she liked before the teacher walked in. Seeing a face she didn't recognize the much older snow white vixen knew right away that this had to be the newest addition to her class. "A new face? You must be Sasha, I'm Miss Edwards." She said in a tone befitting of her friendly appearance, the impression that she rather enjoyed her job was something Sasha picked up on instantly, boosting her confidence knowing she had a friendly teacher rather than a nasty one. As she stood at the front of the class and introduced herself somewhat shyly Sasha spotted all the usual classroom types and where they sat. In the back corner was a cougar leaning back on his chair, looking somewhat similar to the snow leopard she'd gotten directions from, probably the rebellious ones. In the other corner was a trio of students, a very shy looking red panda and a strangely smart looking hyena, both with glasses and their attention firmly locked on her, obviously the ones that always did their homework sitting behind a thin looking husky, evidently all the class bookworms. The rest of the room though was much harder to divide into different types, a bunny who looked like she was always up to no good, a snowshoe hare who looked like something between the bookworms and rebels, two ring-tailed lemurs, probably sisters, and another sitting next to them, a quiet looking wolfox, and a very effeminate looking skunk. There was also a somewhat messy looking bearcat sitting up front, but what was strange was that she had a laptop and headset rather than anything that resembled writing utensils, either she was as obvious a class rebel as she'd ever seen or there was more at work than she was seeing. Another wolf sat near the back, looking for the world like he was too cool to be stuck inside at school, an extremely enthusiastic looking leopard with a fur pattern sure to liven any party, an introverted looking arctic wolf, a fox/rabbit who had an air of the lucky about him, and rounding out the class was a pink otter who clearly took pride in her image. "Very interesting Sasha, ok, take a seat next to Jay and we'll start our next project." With little more than a gesture and a greeting nod from the rabbit to let Sasha know it was him she was sitting next to, and it was just as well, she would have been a lot more nervous if it turned out to be the cougar or even the tan bunny sitting not far away. "Glad you finally decided to join us Selene." Miss Edwards said pointedly, having been interrupted by the snow leopard's late entrance she quickly continued with writing things up on the board while the feline took her seat and appeared to fall asleep almost immediately. Even though she had come into the school mid-year, Sasha found it fairly easy to assimilate into her new class in so far as her efforts not to seem too outwardly shy seemed to be successful, but it was only a ruse to make less of a deal of things than they really were. The vixen could feel many of the eyes that were observing her, spotting for weaknesses, sizing her up like fresh meat, but Sasha tried to ignore them as she made notes about the assignment they were starting. One of the downfalls with being "the new girl" was that she was often the target for the teacher's questions, luckily she was able to answer most of them but she certainly didn't know everything. The bell rang for lunch in the typically obnoxious but unmistakable sound all school bells had and as naturally as it had ever been Sasha followed her classmates out into the hallway, overhearing a somewhat startling remark from the bearcat she'd sat behind in class in response to a somewhat nasty comment someone made about her. "I may be blind, but I'm not stupid, "kick me" signs are for kindergarten." She was indeed blind, Sasha was a little shocked hearing that, but it explained a lot about the girl and her appearance. "Hey, Sasha right?" A voice called from behind her, snapping her out of her slight trance as she turned to face who was talking to her. "Um, yes?" The vixen replied seeing it was Jay addressing her. "Want to come to the library and hang out?" Being the relatively shy girl she was Sasha quickly accepted and soon found herself in the school library reading with her new friend. The rest of the school day went by smoothly as far as first days went for Sasha, and when her parents arrived to pick her up she was more excited than they had expected of her. Back home things were as they always had been, or at least on the lower end of abnormal as through the night until she went to bed certain things around the house were oddly misplaced again, seemingly of Sasha's own doing although she was certain she hadn't done anything to incur such strange coincidences. Not long after she fell asleep Sasha was awoken by a strange sound from downstairs, a few seconds passed and nothing more was heard so she decided to ignore it and go back to sleep. As if knowing she was asleep again the vixen woke to another sound from down stairs, and this time she decided to investigate it. As soon as she touched the door handle to venture into the hall she was stopped by the sound of something coming up the stairs and towards her room. "Mum?" She called out in a soft tone, but all she got in response was silence. It clearly wasn't her mother, so Sasha turned the handle and peeked out into the hall, but it was totally dark, whatever had come up the stairs was either at the other end of the hall, or not there at all. Confused by what she was seeing, or rather, what she wasn't seeing Sasha considered simply going back to bed again, but an icy chill suddenly ran through her body, almost as if something had walked right through her. The next sound she heard stopped her though; footsteps going down the stairs even though there appeared to be nothing there. "I must be dreaming again." Sasha muttered to herself in a hushed tone, certain she had to be either going insane of that she was dreaming again and hadn't noticed the transition. Uncertain of what to think Sasha decided to see what was causing the ghostly footsteps on the stairs, stopping at the top of the stairwell as she began to realize she wasn't in a dream. Holding her arm in the anxious wait in trying to decide what to do next she was surprised to find that her body felt like ice wherever she touched it, yet she knew the house couldn't be cold enough, and nor could she for that matter, to elicit being so chilled to the touch. Now feeling rather frightened in her freezing state Sasha thought about once again running back into her room and trying to forget about the experience, but it had persisted before so she had a feeling it wasn't going to go away so easily. As quickly as the feeling had come the choking icy sensation vanished, replaced by the warmth she had begun to long for, only adding further confusion until she saw something truly terrifying. From the bottom of the stairs the faint outline of... something emerged, the vixen couldn't tell what it was, but it had a distinct presence to it that gave the impression of solid existence. Even though it had no face, no real form to speak of, Sasha felt it staring directly at her, locking her eyes to its own hollow vigil as it suddenly rushed towards her. Scared beyond rational thought Sasha screamed as the formless entity passed right through her, the feeling unlike any other as it vanished in a flash, the words "NOWHERE TO HIDE!" burnt into the wall in front of her only to vanish when her parents came rushing from their room to spot their daughter clearly terrified of something, but there was nothing there. "Sasha! What's going on? What happened?" Her mother then said the one thing Sasha really didn't want to hear at that point. "You look like you've seen a ghost!" Her father was right behind with a baseball bat in hand ready to deal with anything that wasn't supposed to be there, everything except what appeared to be a ghost. Sasha was expectedly unable to answer right away; she had hoped she was dreaming even if she knew she wasn't, waking her parents only confirmed the fact as she pointed at the wall where the message had been. Her father was the first to look, but he saw nothing other than the wall as it had been when they moved in. "What is it? I don't see anything unusual..." It was then that Sasha realized the message had disappeared. After some consolation that what she'd seen was nothing more than her imagination, despite her being certain of otherwise, the vixen was calm again and holding onto the idea that her experiences in their old house were not continuing here. The idea though did not leave her mind easily as she tried to get back to sleep, thinking over a million rational and irrational explanations for what she'd seen, many of them hinging on the idea that she was going insane, she had hoped moving away would mean whatever was causing these strange events would leave it behind, but the writing was quite literally on the wall; whatever it is was had its sights fixed on her. After getting relatively little sleep Sasha was once again ready for school, but when she got there it was obvious she hadn't had the best of nights. In the school library Jay quickly picked up on the fact, oblivious to the truth the rabbit asked, curious. "Someone didn't sleep well last night, did something happen? Or did you just not sleep very well?" Sasha wasn't sure what to say to answer that, sure in herself that there was no way anyone would believe her, not even her parents who had dealt with their daughter doing the sorts of things that happened the last night fairly often. "It's nothing, you wouldn't believe me anyway." The vixen finally said as she slumped into the nearest chair. "I think you'd be surprised what I can believe, I hear a lot of strange things from my friends, but most of them don't result in a lack of sleep." Jay replied quickly, causing Sasha to sigh deeply, the aftershock of her experience reminded her of the time she was deemed as an attention seeking child by a counsellor, no-one seemed to get it that she wasn't making things up, but then maybe she was. "I saw, well I thought I saw a ghost." "Well that is definitely a little hard to believe, especially since no-one's ever been able to prove they exist" Jay stated honestly, a ghost was not what he was expecting to hear, but Sasha did expect his response, after all he had a point. The vixen did feel somewhat annoyed at Jay though for clearly not believing her, as reasonable as it was that he didn't she was certain that she wasn't going crazy or seeing things. "I know what I saw, it's been following me since I was little." "And it followed you here when you moved?" Jay responded in disbelief, but the look in Sasha's eyes said she'd heard this before and didn't really want to hear again that she was insane or just hallucinating. "Don't believe me? What are you doing this weekend?" Sasha retorted, challenging, sounding as if she was daring Jay to say he had no plans. "I've got nothing going on, why? You want me to see for myself?" Sasha only needed to hear that in order for her hopes to rise, responding quickly with an air of vindictiveness in her voice. "Then it's settled." After the bell rang Sasha and Jay quickly headed to their classroom to receive another day's teachings, Sasha fought against her tiredness most of the time while Jay helped her out where she needed it. In what felt like the next decade the bell finally rang to signal the end of the day the vixen was a little less glad to be home than she wished she could be, already she felt that even in a wonderful new home she was already starting to feel that she'd be safer at school. Nonetheless she was glad that her parents worked in jobs that meant they were most often home after school, she didn't like being left alone in the house for reasons she hoped to prove to Jay on the weekend. Asking her parents if the rabbit could stay over went very smoothly, more so than she'd hoped, but since she didn't really have many friends in this new town her parents were clearly happy to see her making friends, although that didn't save her from receiving a small speech about being responsible. The rest of that night was oddly very normal for Sasha, only twice did she find things had been moved around apparently by her own doing, and it was nothing she felt too concerned about, nothing had gone flying off the shelves and hit her or anything yet. Unlike the previous night she also got a decent sleep, though her dreams were still faintly reminiscent of the entity she swore had been a part of her life as long as she could remember. Whatever it was Sasha wished it hadn't chosen her to wreak havoc on, but she couldn't do anything about it, and worse still no-one believed her for a second that she was haunted. The next day at school was better than the last one for Sasha, having gotten a proper sleep she was able to pay a lot more attention in class so Jay didn't have to help her so much. News of him being allowed over to her place that night was another thing that made the vixen's day a good one overall. What wasn't though were the whispers through the class seemingly about her, she'd heard them the day before as well but they were a little louder this time, which was annoying but Sasha simply ignored them, she wasn't crazy, she was however shyer from her experiences. After school ended for the week Sasha and Jay walked out to her parent's car together, looking quite the cute pair as they drove back to the vixen's home. "Wow, this is a nice place Mr. And Mrs Roux." Jay commented as he passed the front door, to which Sasha's parents responded happily, proud of their home as they greeted their guest inside. In an odd but in the end amusing twist dinner was left up to Sasha, she had cooked with her parents on occasion but handling a whole meal herself, for four no less, had her calling on Jay for a bit of assistance. Given her limited kitchen experience the vixen was hopeful the combined efforts of herself and her new, and only friend so far, would prove formidable enough to pull off a decent meal. During the half an hour it took to cook and ready the meal though Sasha felt especially wary and cautious. The gas however didn't do anything out of the ordinary much to the vixen's surprise, nor did the various packets and jars held in the pantry; she half expected most of it to fly out and onto the floor but there was not even a hint of unwarranted movement. The only thing that did seem out of the ordinary and she knew it was in fact herself, Sasha knew she was acting oddly, but she felt it was a necessary caution even if Jay was clearly a little confused by it. The only real shock the vixen got was when she looked into the cooking pan when mixing the ingredients all in together. She could have sworn she saw a face in the mixture but it was so loosely formed and faded so quickly she figured she had to be seeing things again, even if she was certain she wasn't. When dinner was done and ready for the table Sasha finally seemed to settle, her vigilance in looking out for any sign of her resident ghost that for the time being was nowhere to be seen. Sasha's parents hadn't noticed the going on in the kitchen save for the occasional glance to ask if she needed help, but with Jay helping out of his own volition she didn't think she needed it, the result of which was a rather nice meal that drew not a single strange occurrence and tasted great too. "So Jay, you're in Sasha's class at school are you?" Sasha's mother asked intrigued, knowing her daughter didn't usually make many friends. "Yeah, we sit next to each other in class." Jay answered politely, dinner continued with plenty of small talk to go around, but Sasha was under a constant expectation for things to at some point become weird. Having noticed this Jay appeared to have a similarly puzzled look about him, but didn't raise any questions until after dinner. "Are you feeling alright? You've seemed really jumpy and on edge tonight." Sasha suddenly felt a little awkward, she'd only told him that day that she'd seen a ghost, knowing how unreal it sounded she was wary of filling Jay in on what had her spooked, after all she knew he wouldn't believe her. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you." "Is it about this ghost you told me about at school? If it is, then it's obvious there's got to be something more to this if you're so nervous." Jay said in a knowing tone, understanding at least that there was clearly something Sasha was nervous about; he could only assume exactly why though. "I'm not crazy ok? It's been following me since I was a little girl, I know what I'm talking about, and it followed me here when we moved too." Sasha responded pointedly, she wasn't expecting Jay to believe her story, but she was hoping he would, even if it was about as farfetched as stories go. At least having one friend that understood what she had been put through because of her resident spirit then the vixen knew she could feel more at ease and not like she was going insane. "You have to believe me, everyone thinks I'm crazy but I'm not, I know what I've been seeing and it's not me there's something else here, it won't leave me alone. I'm not the one misplacing things around the house or turning the TV on in the middle of the night! ~..." Sasha's tone had become somewhat hectic at this point, professing her innocence in place of something she couldn't prove the existence of. She knew it was insane to try and pin such mundane, though still unusual, occurrences on something like a ghost, but she knew she wasn't lying, she only hoped Jay felt the same. "Whoa, calm down Sasha, if whatever's going on, ghost or not, is serious enough to get to you like this, then I'll listen, I might think it's weird but as your friend I don't like where this is going." Jay interrupted before Sasha could go any further as he tried to calm her by putting his paw on her shoulder. "Is that what this thing's been doing?" He asked, he was willing to suspend his disbelief for now seeing how Sasha was behaving, there had to be more to this story than he knew. To Sasha it seemed as though Jay could only take her words on a superficial level, but that was to be expected of someone who was sceptical about the paranormal. The vixen though knew she was telling the truth, the kind of thing she saw sometimes on TV where she had to wonder if the person talking was crazy or not, only she always felt well inclined to believe them because of her own experiences. "It's been happening almost as long as I can remember, since I was about eight." Sasha began, she felt understandably wary talking about what she'd seen, but Jay had promised to listen, and he didn't seem about to do otherwise. "I remember I was playing outside around the garden, looking around all the flowers and stuff when my friend and her family came over. We started playing together, it was fun, but I saw someone out the corner of my eye heading into the garden. I followed them in, every time I got close though they disappeared until I finally caught up with them...." Sasha's tone was shifting, darker and more contemplative than it had been moments ago, her expression had also changed to something more confused and harrowing as Jay listened on, captivated by the story. "I-I... the next thing I remember I was screaming, mum ran over and grabbed me, she said I'd been bitten by a snake and took me to the county hospital. Mum said after that the doctors had no idea what I was bitten by, they didn't have any match for the species of snake that bit me, so they couldn't give me any anti-venom. They said I didn't stop crying all night until I finally fell asleep, I don't remember anything at the hospital I just remember the day I was sent home. After that happened though that's when weird things started happening, things moving around on their own, weird sounds at night, I didn't know if I was going nuts or what but since then it's only gotten worse." Sasha watched as Jay's expression changed, at first intrigued he had quickly donned a more concerned look about him, she expected as much but the vixen was hopeful that the concern was met with some level of understanding. "Whoa..." Jay seemed as though in disbelief, Sasha was expecting as much though, she'd never told anyone after it happened and it was a hard story to swallow even if a snake bite wasn't exactly the strangest of occurrences. "So you've actually seen it?" The rabbit asked, to which Sasha replied in an ominous tone. "That was the first time I saw them... but that was only the start, it's been ten years now and even moving to a new town I couldn't leave it behind." "It sound like this thing is attached to you not your house, or maybe you are going crazy after all." Jay joked, much to Sasha's disdain. "I'm not crazy ok? Everyone thinks I am but I'm not, I know what I've been seeing and hearing!" "Ok ok, you're not insane, just settle down already." Jay quickly made an attempt to calm his friend, whether he knew her well or not it was obvious it was worth the effort to take her seriously, at least for now. "Haven't you tried to get rid of it?" The lop-eared bunny asked, but he was only met by a similarly unhappy reply. "How am I supposed to do that when no-one believes me? They all think it's just my imagination gone wild but it's not, you try watching your TV turning on by itself and tell me it's just your imagination." It was clear to Jay that the TV incident Sasha had just described to him had happened, he'd heard of that sort of thing before happening in haunted houses, but he wanted to know more. "I gather that's happened to you hasn't it? What else does this "spirit" do?" "Well... sometimes it moves things around, like small things, things like cereal boxes or bowls, maybe a photo. Sometimes though it wakes me up at night and makes noises downstairs. The last time it happened it wrote a message on the wall in the hallway, but it's getting worse, I'm starting to think maybe I am going crazy after all." Sasha knew she was describing thins that almost anyone who claimed to be haunted would say they saw, but this had to be different, she knew she wasn't lying, but she had long wondered if she was indeed going insane, after all she had been the only one to ever see anything that happened. By the way Jay responded Sasha could tell he was only thinking logically, although she did wish she could have laughed at his joke. "Yep, you're definitely going nuts." "Yeah, they'd love me in the crazy house wouldn't they?" Sasha replied half-heartedly, trying to make herself feel better by joking about her experiences had long since run its course and the vixen had little reason to joke about it; especially when not even her own parents believed her, and they had raised her through it all. "Unfortunately I'm pretty sure they're the only ones that'd... believe... me..." Sasha paused at that moment, Jay offered a look of inquisition but the vixen didn't respond. Her expression had turned to one of grave fear, unknown to the rabbit the very thing she had spent so long describing had appeared right behind her friend! Frozen in place the apparition appeared to laugh maniacally at her, almost as if it was mocking the fact that only Sasha could see it. Its form was almost indistinguishable, it had no actual outline but there was no mistaking it was there, but worse than that, it looked like it knew what it was doing, a certain sentience that went beyond the norm for what a ghost might conceivably be able to show. "Sasha? Sasha what're you looking at?" Jay asked, concerned for his friend as he turned around to face the enigmatic being, yet saw absolutely nothing. "There's nothing there... wait, is it in here, right now?" Sasha only responded with a shaky nod, she felt the same spike of fear she always had when she saw it, she had even started to retreat slowly towards the wall while the ghostly figure continued to taunt her with silent yet totally evil laughter. Laughter however was not the end of it, the ectoplasmic spirit not only mocked her but also began to write messages that seemed to be burnt right into the very air itself, reading. "YOU'RE MINE SASHA!" Before it changed to "HE CAN'T PROTECT YOU." Sasha felt absolutely terrified by the messages the figure scrawled in mid-air, but before Jay could ask again if she was okay the vixen grabbed hold of him and didn't let go for a long moment, at which point the ominous apparition disappeared into nothing. "Whoa... are you okay Sasha?" Jay asked, he sounded both confused and concerned at the same time, but the vixen had expected as much since he obviously hadn't seen what she had. After a few comforting words Sasha felt a lot better, she was still shaken but at least she felt calm again, and after that very frightening moment nothing more seemed to occur that was out of place the rest of the night, not even when she went to bed having helped Jay with the bed in the guest room. Sasha took a long time to get to sleep, she was unable to stop thinking about what the ghost had said, and thoughts ran rampant in her head with the expectation that something just as scary would happen that night, but as she laid her head back and closed her eyes she found no such thing took place. As morning broke Sasha woke up for the first time in a long time with the benefit of a good night's sleep, nothing weird or frightening had happened, and she'd slept exceptionally well as a result, a very rare occurrence in and of itself to the girl, but she didn't plan on complaining about it. Similarly it appeared Jay had slept well too, he looked wide awake and ready to go by the time she had made it downstairs for a somewhat late breakfast, the only thing unusual about it all was that the cereal she wanted wasn't where it normally was, but much to her delight that was because it was on the table; it seemed Jay also liked her favourite breakfast meal. Breakfast was had in relative silence between Sasha and Jay, she tended not to talk much during meal times and not much had happened yet to be able to talk about. After a quick breakfast Sasha felt at a loss for something to do, but not long after the dishes were rinsed and put beside the sink her parents came into the kitchen after them. "Hey you two, what do you think about heading out to the park for a bit?" Mrs. Roux asked, to which Sasha and Jay nodded almost in unison. Sasha could remember going to local parks a lot when she was younger; she liked them ever since she could remember. "Sounds nice, are we gonna bring any lunch?" The vixen asked, her mother nodded to her question and then set about organizing a few things for a picnic lunch. Sasha was happy to lend a hand in preparations as was Jay, and soon enough they were all in the car with a decent sized basket of ingredients for sandwiches. The weather couldn't have been more appropriate Sasha thought as she, her parents, and Jay climbed out of the car and made their way to one of the vacant park benches, it was bright and sunny, barely a cloud in the sky, and it was too hot either in her opinion. As with any park there was the playground, Sasha never could grow out of the urge to play on them completely and because of that she went right ahead towards it with Jay in tow, it was a good thing the playground itself was empty, but the rest of the park looked like hers weren't the only family and friends who wanted to enjoy it. The swings it seemed were particularly enticing to Sasha; in no time she was sitting in the seat and started idly swinging back and forth while Jay decided to join in on the fun. After a little while though it seemed only natural for idle conversation to gravitate towards more serious topics, Sasha had expected it to happen though especially since she didn't remember explaining some things that had happened the previous night. "... You didn't see it though, it wrote a message right above your head." Sasha explained as she recalled what she'd seen, after years of seeing things like it she found it impossible to forget when her resident ghost decided to mess with her. "What did it say?" Jay didn't sound like he was certain he wanted to know, but since he'd asked Sasha decided to tell him. "It said that it was coming for me, and that you couldn't protect me." Those were not words Jay found comforting, it was obvious in his expression that he didn't like being threatened by beings he wasn't sure could logically exist. "Well I hope it knows it's not messing with just any old rabbit." Jay replied light-heartedly, but Sasha had a feeling there was more to it than that. "Lunch's ready you two!" Mrs. Roux called out from where their picnic was set up, having unwittingly interrupted their conversation; although given the subject Sasha didn't mind cutting it short. All through lunch they talked about the usual things, the weather, the new school Sasha was attending, a few questions even went to Jay, but overall Sasha was just happy to be out of the house for a while. After what Sasha thought was a fairly unremarkable, yet still enjoyable outing, and more lost time due to the various other things she liked to get up to on the weekend it was unfortunately time for Jay to leave. After he had left though things seemed to go back to an unfortunate but certain normality, Sasha once again found some of the pantry's contents had been shifted about again, and not long after she'd found the fridge open while no-one had been near it for a good span of time, but at least that could be passed off as a simply overlooked occurrence. ? That night Sasha felt like she was on a treasure hunt, things were almost never where she'd left them merely minutes before, it was getting near unbearable that the food shelves and dishes were getting rearranged every time the pantry or cupboard doors were opened. Eventually she gave up and went into her room where she could swear she felt something follow her in. Sasha was certain something was going to happen that night, the minute Jay had left her resident spirit seemed to come back with a vengeance, it wasn't a pleasant thought to her imagining what kind of freakish event might come, which made it very difficult for her to fall asleep until it was well after midnight. As gentle as a light breeze tiny waves kissed the shoreline, each such kiss soaking a portion of sand where it slowly gave way to the rolling ocean. Sasha felt a sense of fascination at even this simple repetitive motion. All along the beach waves lapped at the shore whimsically, it seemed an endless landscape of sea, sand, and eventually dense palm jungle laced in a swathe of green and tan. Too bad there wasn't anyone around to share it with she thought, but then it was hard not to enjoy the idea of a tropical beach, even an entire island just for her. In the distance there was a tiny dark dot in the sand, a tiny moving dark dot in the sand at that and it seemed to be approaching her. A small gasp of surprise escaped the vixen as she looked down; a small and friendly looking crab had scuttled over her foot, though it was odd that it was the only crab around. When Sasha looked back up the black dot was much closer and was now recognizably a person, they kept walking closer but when Sasha tried to walk towards them she found her feet firmly stuck to the ground. Several attempts at getting her feet to move failed, but by the time she looked back up Sasha saw only one thing; those familiar, terrifying aqua and teal eyes she'd come to know so many years ago. Suddenly Sasha felt herself coming to, back in her room and panting heavily having just received a considerable shock at seeing the foreboding ghost right up to her muzzle. Alas when she tried to look around she saw nothing of the sort, but there was a deep sense of danger, of fear, surrounding her entire body. Sasha tried to move her head to look around more but her body refused to respond, similarly neither of her arms or legs would budge either, not even her tail gave a twitch to her demands. Unable to move Sasha began to panic, and that feeling only rose when she saw a dark figure in the corner. She knew it had to be the malevolent spirit she'd come to fear, and every step it took towards her in deep penetrating silence brought the girl further into her frightened state. She tried to scream but her mouth stubbornly refused her the luxury, almost as if something was holding it shut. In the next instant the ghostly figure vaguely representative of a rabbit was merely an inch away from her, its presence weighing down on her as she stared terrified into its deceptively calm eyes. The entity whispered, its voice so calm and yet so dark and forceful, knowing it had Sasha's rapt attention "I told you he couldn't save you... no-one can save you from the truth." Sasha was totally paralysed, both physically and with fear, a million questions rampaged in her confused mind as to what that could mean, but before she could come up with an answer herself the spirit's ethereal appearance took on a much more solid state. No longer transparent, Sasha found herself pinned to her bed, totally unable to move under the now all too real bunny. She felt deeply confused by the entity's statement, the truth? Her mind raced with potential answers to the apparent riddle but no answer seemed logical enough to stick in her mind. The rabbit looked highly amused by her struggle to find an answer, but it became clear very quickly that this thing didn't want to waste the time waiting. Sasha watched in fear as the spirit lowered down, she was expecting the absolute worst at this point and she could feel a single tear run down her cheek just before she felt something she was absolutely unprepared for. At the very moment when the ghosts' lips touched her own Sasha's eyes went alive with shock as a million images of indescribable events flashed before her, she could still feel the cold ethereal lips against hers but what she was seeing came far too rapidly to make out. The feeling was nothing short of maddening to Sasha; she couldn't fight it or even try to focus on something vaguely different. All of a sudden though her body seemed to regain its ability to move, Sasha arched her back sharply upward towards the bunny, she could feel her very soul tossing and turning violently as her body tried to do the same, but since she was pinned to her bed she could still do very little about her situation. In the midst of the utter chaos that took over her mind Sasha felt movement, it felt very distant but she could definitely feel something tracing a line along her body, whatever it was she could do nothing to stop it as it moved lower. With her muzzle still trapped in the forced kiss Sasha couldn't scream no matter how much she wanted to, but the entity that was pinning her down it seemed could still speak all too clearly to her. "You will accept the truth!" The words weren't so much heard as they were felt by Sasha, her entire being shuddered with each word spoken, but once the bunny had said her piece Sasha felt something that went beyond anything she'd thought possible. Frightened, terrified even Sasha's struggles proved to be useless, but escaping was a thought that was suddenly wiped from her mind in an instant of total sensory destruction. While the images had slowed down a little Sasha could only make out vague ideas at what they were, but eventually the fast flickering slowed down much more, enough that each image remained in sight for a couple of seconds at a time. At the same time however her body was under an assault of a new kind, a kind she was not familiar with in any experience with the spirit before; pleasure. Sasha didn't know how or why but there was a powerful and undeniable sense of need flowing through her, with every short snippet she watched the feeling seemed to intensify until she came to a truly chilling realization; every one of the images that flashed in front of her very eyes were of her! Not only that, but she could see someone else as well, only they looked very distinctly female. At that epiphany, at the very moment of realization Sasha heard a scream, but it wasn't a scream of terror or fear, it was a scream of sheer bliss. A sudden flash of blinding white light accompanied the outcry until both faded into blackened silence, Sasha sat bolt upright in her bed trembling all over at the horrible nightmare she'd just had. After realizing she had sat up she managed to calm down somewhat knowing she could move again. What a nightmare! Sasha thought, but something didn't feel right about it, she had been wide awake when it happened, or had she? The vixen wasn't sure if she had actually been awake, or if she'd just dreamt that she was, but in both cases she was still very reluctant to re-imagine what she'd experienced. As she shifted her legs under her bed sheets though Sasha felt something was very wrong, and it was only then she realized she was in fact completely naked. That in and of itself was only half the shock, upon closer inspection under the covers she noticed a very distinct wet patch right at her netherfur, and she knew there had to be only one reason for it; she'd had the best, worst nightmare of her life.

Sasha sat up in her bed for what seemed like several long and anxious minutes before she felt calm enough to move. Her mind was awry with confusion, the evidence was plain as day and she was sure what she had experienced was real, but she had woken up only minutes ago. Uncertain of everything around her at that point Sasha nearly squeaked again in fright as her alarm went off on her bedside table, but after the fifth extremely obnoxious beep she hit the 'off' button and climbed out of bed to get ready for school that day. She had almost an hour to be ready so the first thing she did was make her way to the shower where she spent the long minutes trying to come to grips with what she'd experienced that night. Having decided it just couldn't have been a dream, not when she was wide awake like she had been, and especially not when it had felt like it did, Sasha quickly got dressed back in her room before dong the next thing on her list; breakfast. When she sat at the table though her mother gave her a look she had hardly ever given anyone, a simple smile and a dark, knowing wink made Sasha feel very uneasy, had she heard what had happened? The young vixen distinctly remembered the scream that woke her, had she really made that sound and her mother heard it too? Sasha felt her face flush hot with embarrassment, but she didn't say anything as she put her empty bowl on the sink and headed back up to her room to make sure she had everything in order, but secretly the girl was dreading the day ahead. Almost as soon as she got within school grounds Sasha felt like all eyes were on her, as if they knew exactly what had happened but weren't saying anything about it. Logic told her there was no way any of them could know, but it felt like they did. There was no such air of knowing in class though, in fact as far as the rest of her class were concerned Sasha saw that a few of them were looking at her as if she was half crazy, apparently her own nervous gaze had caused some unusual looks. All during class Sasha was silent, she only spoke when Miss Edwards asked a question or if Jay was talking to her, and by the time the recess bell rang its obnoxious tone Sasha felt ready for home, although there were still several hours to go. "I know I've only known you for a week Sasha but you're acting really different to last week, or even only on the weekend you were nowhere near this secretive and shy." Sasha didn't like to hear it but Jay was right, he had been one of the first to notice her detached mood and when recess rolled around he'd taken the opportunity to try and find out why. "It's nothing Jay... I'm just having a bad day that's all." Sasha responded even though she knew full well that it was much more than that, and despite her efforts to downplay her mood Jay was quick to point out the fault of her statement. "I've seen bad days before and have had some of my own; you can't seriously be suggesting that a complete shift in your behaviour is just 'a bad day'." At that point Sasha wanted to get up and leave the library and indeed Jay to find somewhere she could be alone with her thoughts, but apart from the places all the worst students hung out there weren't many other options than the library. She hesitated for a few seconds but Sasha eventually decided against that, after all she felt no reason to leave other than her own intense insecurity but that was almost reason enough. "It's about your resident 'ghost' isn't it?" Jay asked as if he already knew the answer and was only confirming his suspicion. "I... I don't want to say..." Sasha replied as she stared down at the desk they were sitting at, she made an active attempt to avoid eye contact for the sake of the slight comfort she got from staring at her own hands but she knew she would come off as having some sort of deep dark secret she didn't want anyone to know, even though that was indeed the truth. "There's no-one else in this corner of the library Sasha no-one's going to think you're weird, look at me... If there's anyone you should trust it's me. After all with everything else you already told me don't you think I'd understand whatever it is better?" Jay sounded sincere, like he genuinely wanted to help, but Sasha was still having a hard time understanding what had happened. To her it wasn't as if she could simply blurt out something along the lines of 'I was raped by a ghost', the thought just sounded ridiculous when it came to mind. Slowly Sasha looked up from her hands and finally looked in Jay's direction, it was then she saw the look of concern on his face and that made her feel as if her not being open was doing to him almost the same sort of worry her haunting experiences had on her. "I guess you're right, it's just... I don't even know where to start... it was so real, but it just couldn't... it just couldn't have been." Sasha's voice was shaky as was the rest of her; she was verging on being spontaneously terrified but Jay's presence was much more of a comfort to her than he knew, and his response to her nervous statement helped that feeling a lot. "Just start from the beginning, first thing you remember." Jay's encouragement however was met with silence from Sasha, she knew what she was going to say but she didn't know if she wanted to tell him about her experience or not. She watched as Jay's expectant expression became something more closely resembling a mix of disappointment and understanding "It's ok if you don't want to tell me yet, whatever it was it's obviously not something you want to talk about." Sasha felt deeply relieved at her friend's eventual response, it was all too much at that point in time so she was glad to be able to move onto something else and leave it for later. The only problem with not talking about what had happened was that now she had to find something else to talk about, but when the bell rang to signify the start of their next class it didn't seem to matter so much. The rest of the school day felt strange to Sasha, she felt a little detached as if the world around her had become somewhat alien with everyone looking as if they knew something was out of the ordinary but they couldn't identify what. All through the rest of the day the vixen felt as if all eyes were on her for some reason, but it wasn't until her last class; gym, that she found out what was causing the strange feeling. Sasha was about to get changed into more appropriate clothing for gym class when she opened her locker and saw her reflection in the mirror. At first she didn't believe what she was seeing; patches of fur were changing colour before her very eyes! No-one else seemed to notice it, but it was hard to discount seeing her arm turn a vivid turquoise while the other had swapped out her usual blue for a deep shade of emerald. A quick look at her body revealed that it wasn't just her reflection that showed her colour change, and Sasha began to panic much to the surprise of those around her who she saw watching with wary eyes while she tried to work out what was going on. The answer came when she looked back at the mirror in her locker; a face that was far from her own was staring back at her with a crazed expression. Sasha attracted more attention when she suddenly screamed and stumbled backward, only to trip on the locker room bench and end up facing the roof with fright surging through her system. Sasha watched as several of her classmates gathered around and asked what was wrong, but she knew they wouldn't believe her when she told them she'd seen someone's insane face in her mirror. The rest of gym class was very awkward for the only somewhat relaxed vixen, a new kind of fear was slowly taking hold now that it seemed her resident poltergeist was not confined to her home anymore. During lunch break Sasha had a lot more to talk about than she did before with Jay, the library was just as quiet as it always was but she would have preferred if there was no-one else in the area they occupied. "I don't know Jay, I-I looked in my locker mirror and the next thing I knew I was changing colour like a Christmas tree, then when I looked at it again I saw a face... not my face, someone... no something else was there in place of my body." Sasha tried to explain but it was difficult to actually describe the figure since she'd only seen its face but it still sent shivers up her spine every time she thought about it. "The look in its eyes though, it was... it looked totally insane, and they were laughing." Jay seemed almost amused by her description "So the thing following you around is certifiably insane? I'd think it was fun if it wasn't so serious." Sasha didn't feel much reassurance at her friend's comment, but anything was better than having her paws shaking on the table. "So... let me get this straight... you're saying it...-" "I don't know, I'm pretty sure I was hallucinating... but it was so real there's just no way it wasn't." Sasha interrupted Jay in a rush to support her own argument although she still wasn't certain in herself what had actually happened. "I only went to have a shower but I looked in the mirror and it was right there staring back at me. Next thing I remember I was on the floor, I... I couldn't move and I tried to scream... but it stopped me somehow." It had been the fourth time her resident spirit had seemingly attacked her, Sasha was never sure what to call it though because of the mixture of feelings she got when it had happened. Jay had never looked so shocked in all the time she'd known him for; he was usually less obvious than at that moment but Sasha had expected something more dramatic than usual, especially after telling him what her resident spirit had been doing to her. "So this, thing, assaulted you?" Jay queried but he only received a slight nod in return from Sasha, it seemed so incredibly unbelievable but the vixen knew she wasn't lying. "I don't know... I mean I think so but I don't, I don't even know for certain if it really happened because my parents err... heard me..." Sasha felt very hesitant about mentioning that she'd been heard, she was sure what she saw and felt were real, but whether it was the doing of some ethereal being or if she'd just fantasized it herself was a question Sasha couldn't find an answer for, but her parents seemed to hint that it was her own teenage urge. Sasha had to wonder though which was worse; if it was real it meant she had been tormented by a demon all her life, but if it wasn't she could be going mad which was just as frightening. With Jay in her presence things were only mildly out of the ordinary, although in Sasha's opinion it was actually out of the ordinary for so little to happen. A moved bowl here, a tilted photo or a warped mirror reflection there, it seemed awfully tame overall but she was glad to have an uneventful night for once. Sasha's dreams were filled with visions of the dark rabbit-like spirit, but come morning she could remember none of what she had seen and simply awoke feeling a little more tired than usual, but since it was now the weekend she decided she could just sleep in. As she slept Sasha began to feel different, warmer as if she was sharing her bed with someone. While she slept her vision showed a strange picture, she was suddenly sleeping with her arms wrapped around a stranger, a female stranger at that. She could have sworn she was awake when she saw her mysterious bed partner but she was soon roused from her illusion by the apparent sight of Jay entering her room.

Sasha woke with a confused expression as Jay tapped on her shoulder. One look at her clock and she realized it was almost midday, but at that point in time she was more concerned with addressing a more immediate question. In her half-sleep daze Sasha asked something that perplexed Jay into a contorted expression of confusion, "Did... did you see a girl in here with me when you came in?" Jay had no idea what his friend was talking about. "Erm... no? You never invited anyone else over and I never saw anyone else in bed with you." The way it sounded to Sasha Jay was beginning to wonder about her, so she responded quickly before he could ask make an embarrassing comment or ask a weird question. "I could've sworn there was someone in here with me, and then when you came to wake me she just disappeared." "What do you mean? You were fast asleep when I came in, in fact I was about to grab some water and splash you." Jay joked, but Sasha wasn't in much of a mood for jokes yet, she hadn't even properly woken up yet. "So it was like you were awake, except you weren't?" "Yeah, pretty much... I even saw you come in but you said I was sound asleep." Sasha wondered what it could mean, either she was having some very strange dreams that involved things actually happening around her, or something was making her see them. The latter thought was quickly discounted though, Sasha knew herself, and while she'd had similar illusions and events throughout her life these seemed more and more purposeful than they used to be. "Strange, but then what about this girl you apparently shared your bed with? That's a little weird don't you think?" Jay asked, it was a strange thing Sasha thought, but no stranger than if she'd dreamt Jay was in her bed instead, the thought of which somehow felt wrong so she didn't mention it to him. "It is... but I guess I shouldn't get too bothered about it, after all scarier things have happened to me." "Than waking up next to a naked woman? That's rich." Jay wittily responded. The rest of the day until Jay's parents came to take him home went moderately well, at least as well as it could go with an extremely lively ghost sticking around her she thought. The night that followed was even crazier than the night before as once again Sasha could swear she wasn't alone under the covers, but when she woke up she was disappointed... disappointed? Sasha wondered why but couldn't find a good enough reason to feel that way. Upon reflection she decided to try not to worry about it too much as she had her morning shower and got ready for another day of school. Sasha was hopeful that nothing insane would happen during the day but she had come to expect a day that would be as far from normal as possible. As her first class started the vixen felt amazed nothing had happened yet, no weird reflections, no strange apparitions in the halls, any odd noises or funny looks, nothing at all. That was until she spotted someone freakishly familiar down the main hall not far from her classroom. Sasha shook her head vigorously and saw the person had disappeared, there was just no way the same light timber coloured wolfess she could swear she'd shared her bed with two nights in a row could have been there. Sasha almost didn't notice the bell signalling the start of class but the sudden bustle of students alerted her to the fact and sent her heading for class, the last thing she expected when she arrived was seeing a nearly full class and no teacher. One or two of the less caring students were still absent but the thing that got her was the lack of a teacher.

It was a rare thing when Miss Edwards was absent, but as she took her seat she found herself staring absolutely gobsmacked by who had just walked into the class. "Good morning class. As you can see Miss Edwards is currently absent, I'm your substitute Miss Leveque. Can someone tell me what you were covering last week?" There was a strange silence in the class that Sasha found herself contributing to until one of the boys in the back row muttered something, a joke about things being covered apparently but the wolfess standing before them didn't react at all. "How about...... you? Care to tell me your name and where we were up to honey?" Miss Leveque asked as she looked in Sasha's direction, she saw the teacher looking at her but it took her a moment to realize she was being talked to. "Well?" Miss Leveque asked, and this time Sasha stumbled out of her stupor and tried to make up for lost time in her answer. "Sasha Miss... And we were studying literature; we were reading through Bram Stoker's Dracula." "Thank you, well we'd best get to it then. Open your books and we'll take turns reading paragraphs until we get through everyone." Relieved she hadn't made too much of a fool of herself Sasha took a deep breath and relaxed, glad they were at least doing something she was interested in for study, although she couldn't stop staring at Miss Leveque for the simple reason she could swear she'd shared a bed with the wolfess, she certainly remembered what it felt like. The reading was an enjoyable break from the tedium of written work for Sasha, the other students weren't so content with the activity but she knew it was better than a pop quiz or anything. Class seemed to pass rather quickly for the blue vixen in fact, and before long the bell was ringing to signal first break which cued the hectic line at the door as everyone tried to get out at once as usual. Something unusual was when Miss Leveque asked Sasha back from the group and took a seat in Miss Edwards' teacher's chair; Sasha sat down opposite the wolfess though she couldn't understand why she was being held back. "You love that book don't you?" Miss Leveque asked, to which Sasha simply nodded as if she wanted to ask why such a question would be asked before she was left without the chance to ask, "I could tell, you read so well for a girl your age." "Umm, thank you Miss... I guess I just like reading a lot." Sasha blushed a little at the compliment but she began to think she couldn't have been held back just to be told she did well at reading. Before she knew it though the bell had rung again and students had began to gradually file back into the classroom before Sasha realized she'd spent the entire lunch break chatting with her substitute teacher. It was difficult not to keep talking when she had such a fascinating conversation partner; it was almost as if they knew each other already and they even shared some amusing discussion in their mutually native French. It seemed uncanny as Sasha went back to her seat and the midday class began, some of the other students muttered things about her being a teacher's pet but she ignored it in the same way she'd missed the glint that appeared in Miss Leveque's eye when the words were mentioned. Class until lunch break was as enjoyable as the first third for Sasha, mostly because it was more reading of her favourite book but also because of the incredible hit off she had with the new teacher, jokes aside. The next lunch break ended up the same as the first, Sasha couldn't get why but she loved talking with Miss Leveque and it seemed from where she was sitting that her teacher was getting a similar enjoyment from it. Without even realising it until she'd sat back in her seat for the final third of the day's lesson Sasha had somehow agreed to a sleepover though the chain of events leading to it were impossible to figure out. It didn't dawn on her until she was back home again that what had occurred that day seemed not only extremely weird but extremely surprising in a good way, though that contributed to the weirdness she felt about it. "Sure honey, do you want us to take you over to her place?" Miss Roux was glad her daughter was making more friends but that it was a teacher was not much of a consideration in Sasha's view, there was nothing inherently wrong with a girl's night in she thought although Miss Leveque seemed different for a teacher, she spoke on Sasha's level almost like she'd known her all her life. The drive over was uneventful much to Sasha's amazement as not a peep from her resident ghost the entire way, strange she thought since up until now things had been driving her insane while she tried to distinguish reality and hallucination. It felt strange and unnerving that nothing odd happened but she still managed an excited smile as they pulled up at Miss Leveque's house, Sasha knocked on the door and patiently waited to be answered while her tail swung idly behind her. "Hey Sasha, so glad you could make it!" Sasha's parents seemed amused and mildly confused by the youthfulness Miss Leveque showed as they waved their daughter goodbye, she couldn't have been too old but even so teachers they'd met were never that excitable or happy. "We're gonna have such a good time Sasha, just you wait and see." The glint in Miss Leveque's eyes were a mystery to the vixen, but she was happy to go along with it as she was guided upstairs to the room she'd be sleeping in where she dumped her bag of overnight necessities. Upon making her way downstairs Sasha could smell something delicious and even somewhat familiar. "Hope you're hungry, I made some chicken pizza for dinner." Miss Leveque called from the kitchen as she pulled the cooked meal out of the oven; Sasha perked up almost instantly upon hearing the words 'chicken pizza' and quickly made her way downstairs and towards the delectable smell. "Are you kidding? I LOVE chicken pizza!" She exclaimed as she found the wolfess and the dinner she'd made, 'mmmmm'-ing happily as they cut the pizza into equal slices and took a few pieces each before Miss Leveque lead Sasha into the lounge room and offered up a movie while they ate. Sasha couldn't say no to a dinner movie so she was only too happy to flop down onto the couch in the lounge room, though she couldn't help feeling things were a little strange in some way but she wasn't about to question it yet. It was nice to have things happening without the eventual appearance of that scary rabbit ghost she'd known since she was little. The apparent absence of any of the weird and scary things she had come to know was reason enough for her to be nervous so as the movie started she turned to face her substitute teacher and asked a question she hoped would be understood. "Miss?" "Miranda honey, call me Miranda." "Oh ok... umm, what's your opinion on... erm... ghosts?" "Ghosts? I think they exist, but I don't know that we can interact with them." Miranda had an intriguing viewpoint Sasha thought, but she believed she knew better than most how interaction with ghosts could work, but she didn't want to go into too much detail on the subject. "I think they can interact with us, but we can't interact with them in return..." Miranda nodded to her with a smile and a wink, which made Sasha tilt her head curiously at the odd gesture. It was as if Miranda knew something she wasn't letting on, but as the movie began Sasha didn't get the opportunity to ask again for a couple of hours. The vixen still felt strange being where she was, a sleep over with her substitute teacher only the same day as she'd met her? The question perplexed Sasha but she couldn't shake the feeling of rightness she had about it. "So you think we might be able to see them, but we wouldn't be able to do anything to them?" Miranda asked with curiosity that Sasha was less reluctant to satisfy now that the movie was over and they were sitting on the spare bed Sasha would be sleeping in like a couple of school girls and not like a teacher and student at all. "Yeah, I mean... people think I'm crazy but I'm sure I've got my own ghost following me." Miranda paused then, a glint in her eye hinting at more subtle motivations, but so little time was given to ponder them until the wolfess made a suggestion Sasha couldn't turn down. "Hey I know, let's play some Truth or Dare... you up for it Sasha?" The vixen nodded enthusiastically, she loved Truth or Dare but it was Miranda who would be the first in the spotlight. "Truth" She answered when Sasha asked which she preferred and she confessed to having gone to friend's parties and secretly sneaking out behind her parents' backs to get to them. Now it was Sasha's turn and thanks to her tendency for a little competition she took truth as well, though luckily for her it wasn't a regrettable decision as she only had to admit that she had at one point fancied a guy in school. Things took a strange turn however when it came back to Sasha's turn several minutes later, she took dare again and Miranda had dared her to remove her pyjamas and sit in her underwear. At first the vixen was reluctant, but a little convincing had persuaded her to go along with it though a little reluctantly. Miranda too had taken dare but Sasha had to think for a moment to come up with something she thought would be good, she settled on a reciprocated dare for Miranda to get down to underwear too, it seemed only fair after being asked to do it herself. In the end Sasha was enjoying the Truth or Dare, but she soon came to a shocking revelation when after taking a chance on another dare Miranda had dares Sasha to kiss her. Sasha was lost for words as the thought ran through her mind, kissing her teacher? They weren't in class anymore but it still seemed very wrong to do despite Miranda's encouragement. However much the wolfess tried to coax her with words Sasha wasn't sure she could or should go along with it but that was until Miranda pushed her onto her back and loomed over her with clear intent. Sasha began to breathe faster and feel the strong sensation of nervousness spike in her gut, she had dreamt of sharing a bed with this very same wolf but she wasn't sure that was good enough justification for letting it happen. Before she was able to protest further though Miranda pinned her down and connected with a freakishly familiar vigour she remembered feeling a few times in the recent past, a feeling she came to associate with only one thing. Sasha tried to struggle under Miranda's weight and grip but she couldn't, it was as if the wolfess was made of solid furry steel as she found herself unable to move away or try to escape. After several seconds of struggling though the vixen began to give up, her lips and teeth unable to stop Miranda's tongue from entering her mouth which only seemed to make her relax and submit more. She wanted to fight back and get out of the house; or at least have a shower to clean off how dirty she felt though she knew it would do nothing, unable to stop Miranda from moving over her squarely and paralyzing her with sensations sent through her tongue and paws. Sasha's struggles turned to eager encouragements within minutes, a very large part of her felt like this was just right while another part told her this was oh so wrong, despite that though she couldn't wrestle free from the wolfess holding her down. The last thing she could remember hearing was a familiar voice as Miranda finally pulled away, Sasha watched helplessly as the same terrifying voice she'd heard so many times in her nightmares spoke to her as if highlighting the powerful realization inside Sasha at that point; a female touch... that was the key all along. "I told you he couldn't save you..."

.::ALTERNATIVE ENDING::. "Is she going to be ok?" "It's difficult to tell if she'll be normal again." "But she could be, right? Please tell me I can have my baby back soon..." "She's in the best place she can be Mrs. Roux, if she's ever going to improve trust me it'll be here with us..." Sasha listened to the muffled voices filtering into her room, she would be okay she thought, everything would be ok eventually and she would be fixed and ready to return to what she knew. That was the hope she and her parents had, they wanted their baby girl back, and she wanted to be able to function normally again. There was just one big problem with that, she never seemed to be able to escape it, her resident spirit had become such a powerful part of her life that she spent many of her waking moments fearful that it would strike again. "She can't get me in here, she can't come in, she can't get me..." Sasha muttered to herself as she sat on the pure white bed, mattress, sheets, doona, all of it was white. Even the walls were bright and plain, save for the buttons that poked into every few inches of the padded walls. It was a cold and uninteresting room, but it was where she believed she was supposed to be, especially after the episode that ended up with her being admitted. St. Mary's Mental Hospital had nice people in it, they made sure she was comfortable and that she felt safe, and most of all Sasha was certain her haunting ghostly entity couldn't get her in here. How could it when there were people around constantly to keep watch? The vixen felt very safe in her room, but the visits from her parents were definitely the best part of it all, she loved to see them even if they didn't believe that what she'd been seeing was real, it helped her convince herself she just had a wild imagination despite the years it had gone on for. Now though it was time for them to leave, but as the lights were dimmed to a sleep-friendly level Sasha felt the room suddenly get cold. After climbing under her bed sheets she idly watched the door as her rather friendly doctor was just walking away from the door when her eyes suddenly shot open. In front of her stood that aqua and purple rabbit, the object of her nightmares. "No, no you can't be here... you can't be!" Sasha's voice elevated to terror rapidly, but when her doctor hear her talking all he could see was that she was having another nightmare, there was little he could do though since he had suddenly become extremely busy with a more violent patient. As he walked away Sasha trembled, screaming in fear as the rabbit approached. "I told you no-one could save you..."

Oh my motherfucking jesus-on-a-plane-with-Samuel-L-Jackson-Chuck-Norris-and-Batman-on-a-stick! This story has been in the works for SO LONG!

This is a story request from... well fuck me nearly a year ago from a friend from FA in which his vixen character Sasha hopes to escape a haunting childhood when her family moves into a new town, only to have it return with a vengance.

In and of itself this isn't a sexual story, but it's still rated adult for its themes and references of a sexual nature. As an added bonus I also threw in an alternate ending!

Labelled for Strong Violence due to the blood writing, it ain't much but I gotta cover my ass no?

Sasha, Jay, and Psychosis are © JellyMuffins (FA)
