Cooking Ch. 1
Valexia stared into the yolk of the egg her husband was cracking. "Oh..." She beamed at it as her stomach growled loudly. Her husband, Max, was making cornbread. One of her favorite foods, especially when he made it (she wasn't good at cooking what-so-ever!). As he mixed the batter up she drooled unknowingly. He glared at her and she quickly wiped it up with her sweater sleeve relizing what she had done so ignorantly. She licked the wound on her paw sadly. "He's mad at me now..." She thought. "...I'll get nothing or, if I'm lucky the crums..." Her eyes started to water as he put the cornbread batter into the oven to bake slowly. She imagened it rising slowly and she licked her lips wantingly. He walked past her to the backyard to read his book. She went over and washed the dishes quickly, but thoroughly, hoping with all her heart that he wasnt mad at her and she would be fed today.
