Revolution! Part Three
Today was the day. It was finally the day they would fly to the festival in Oregon. Archie had everything packed, his clothes, peace medallions, healing powders, everything. He called Vaughn over the telephone and made sure he was packed too. Archie felt a lot of guilt about what he had said the other day, in fact he hadn't even spoke to Rocky in 2 weeks. Archie was depressed, but a bit happy for the festival. Archie had met Vaughn near the bus stop to the airport. "Have you talked to Rocky lately" Vaughn said solemnly. "No, I can't, it's so hard trying to talk to someone when you've hurt them so many times I... I just-". He heard a small cry from down the side walk and he had been hearing a faint voice calling "Archie", it was Rocky (again).
Rocky ran up to the boys, he was dressed in a camouflage jacket covered in peace signs and flowers of different colors. "I'm here pant to come pant with you". He huffed and panted some more and then sat on the bench. "Why did you come Rocky, why would you after you heard me say all those things?". "Because I realized I'm also a freedom fighter, and I wanted to tag along". "But what about your Bar Mitzvah? You can't miss that". "Dad cancelled it, said something went down with the business so he couldn't plan it". Archie thought to himself, okay you can come we have an extra ticket if anyone couldn't get one". Rocky rejoiced "Thank you! Thanks so much big bro!". "Eh... it's what we're for Rocky". Archie put his arm around Rocky and loaded onto the bus to get to the airport. On the bus he had thought again and he had no reason of leaving town. He told Rocky who was napping on his lap " we don't have a reason to leave, we're screwed". "It's okay, I told them we went to Bible camp". "Bible camp? But we're Jewish..."." Ma and Pa said it would be a good experience for us, so we're in the clear". Archie chuckled and peered out the window, only to see a horrifying scene.
He saw an entire mob of protestors outside the bus in front of the airport. They're had to be 600-700 people out there protesting and going on strike about the budget cuts. Archie told Rocky and Vaughn to stay put on the bus. Archie got off and stared at the wide mass of protestors. He thought he should stay out of this one, " this could get bad" he said with a shocked expression left on his face. Seconds later rioters were throwing Molotov Cocktails and pushing cars over. Riot control started showing up, with guns and riot shields. Archie saw the riot police wolves and said to himself "oh Christ". He ran back into the bus "What's going on Archie?" Rocky said with chills running down his fur. Archie grabbed Rocky and said "get down!". Within seconds the riot police opened fire... BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!, BANG! BANG!, CHIKA! CHIKA! CHIKA! CHIKA!. The loud noises of pistols firing, shotguns blasting, and automatic rifles rattling toward the crowd. Soon the fire had stopped, and Archie and Vaughn exited the bus only to find hundreds of dead bodies lying on the ground. Some protestors escaped and many were wounded. Archie removed his bandana, went back to get Rocky, and covered Rocky's eyes so he couldn't see the massacre.
They proceeded into the airport and checked in. They met Celestia who was also stunned by the killing of the protestors, but they continued on like nothing had happened... The lady at the boarding ticket checker gave Archie a vague look. Then she asked him "What's your name". "Archie". "I need a real full name sir". "sigh Laurence Anderson Medovesky. "Thank you sir". The lady gave Archie his ticket and continued to check the others....
