True Mates #2
True Mates #2
_ Not long after mating, had the last leaf fallen. The skies were cloudy, and the sun was not to be found. Altough, it was winter, the snow hadn't come yet._ As Storm and Star were waiting, for an arrival, food was becoming more, and more scace. This is their continued tale:
Out in the woods was Storm, hunting for some, or just any prey at all. And back in a cave, lie Star. Resting, trying to keep the most of her strength, because food was about nowhere to be found, and she must have a pup soon. Storm had thought to himself, "How should we survive? I simply can't find any speck or crumb of food. Heck I would eat a rotting carcase I'm so hungry!" He had circled the woods several times, but then, there it was! What he was looking for, his long hunting trip was finally over, his aching muscles were very sore.
Storm had used up the last of his energy running for the food source he had found. It was rather large, enough for 8 of him to have a feast! Not knowing why it was out in the open still, he had grabbed a bite and was about to carry the rest back to the cave, when a net had swooped down over his head, it was a trap!
Back in the cave, Star worried, "Where is my love? He is very late, what happened to him?" She had always expected something bad to happen, and this was it. She looked all around outside the cave as she sat up tall.
Storm was wailing, crying for help. He was stuck, anything could attack him at any moment. He thought to himself, "Oh no, this is not good! If I don't bring food back to my dear, the pup will die." Trying his best to wiggle free from this trap, a bunny had hopped along.
The bunny made some clicking noises and said, "Oh my, what has happened poor friend?" She wiggled her nose waiting for a reply, when Storm had stopped he said, "Please help! I've gotten a little stuck, this net is around my head. I can't get it off, and I must hurry, I have to be back somewhere." The rabbit turned it's head, the hopped closer and gnawed the net, loosening it. Storm quickly got out of the trap, and thanked the small creature, "Thank you very much my friend, now, not to be rude, but I must be on my way. I hope to see you again." He nodded his head, took the meat and left. He kindly enough left some in return for the bunny who had helped him.
