I know I?ve wanted writers to write more. Red Darkpaw Moon Dancer The rocker swayed back and forth. The only sound was that of a gentle suck. I sat in that rocker, nursing my third kit, rocking the small furry babe back to sleep. I had been awoken a little after the larger moon had set. The room was dark, lit only by the light from the smaller moon. A gentle breeze moved through the curtains. It brought to my nose the gentle scents of forest, lake, and meadow. I sat there thinking about my life and the changes I had experienced. I stroked my babe?s soft face and muzzle as my mind drifted back to a time 10 or so years ago when this all started. The babe burped and fell asleep against my tit. I smiled down at her and remembered. Time stilled in the dark and the wind held it breath. I sometimes try and imagine the person I once was. I find the memory now fading, hard to recapture. It would have been easier to catch the wind sometimes. I looked at myself now across to the mirror on the wall. In the semi dark room I see a creature that you may think impossible. A humanoid body covered in soft white fur, a head that resembles a fox?s and a long foxy tail with the coloration of an arctic fox, white with black points on my ears and tail tip. That was the first of many shocks I received when I woke to this world. I woke to a world filled not with humans but with humanoid animals. Canids, felines, mustilids, marsupials, and all the other forms from the animal kingdoms. There were even some avian and reptiles but they were fewer in number and seemed to keep themselves apart from the rest. The greatest shock was that I was that I was no longer the human male I started my life as. Being female was not something I could say was in my plans for the future. That was the biggest change for me. I had been male for all of my 25 years prior to the accident. To say the least the change took me a little by surprise. After 10 years here, it is hard to believe that I?m not a native to this world. It took me a while to settle in. My being here was truly not something I would do on purpose. Let me try and tell you what happened. It started about 15 years ago when I was in college at James Madison University in Virginia. That?s on a world as close as I can determine about 150 light years away from here. Going back once was all I could take, but that?s another story. My name is/was Johnathan Davis, that is Johnathan with an ?H?. I had always been sort of a computer nerd/physics nut. I spent about as much time in the physics labs as I did surfing the net. I had a rad computer, 450 MHz machine with a 21 gig hard drive and a modem connection that would have raised a few eyebrows if they had been able to trace it. Ok, ok, its slow for u reading this now but back then it couldn?t be beat. Its amazing what you can find if you?re willing to put the time into hacking NASA?s mainframe. Needless to say I was never caught or maybe I did. I was also a member of a subculture on the net called furries. They are people into anthropomorphics. Ya, I know another long word that?s hard enough to translate much less spell. It would take many volumes of books to even try to explain that fully and I don?t have time for that right now. You can look it up if you really want to know. Anyway, I was an otter. My online character was a Canadian River Otter, 5?10? about 150 lbs. brown with a lighter shade on my neck chest, belly groan and inner thighs. A rather handsome fellow at that if I do say so myself. I went by the name Rock Riverbend. I fooled around with these people for about 4 years. It would have continued if events hadn?t turned out as they did. When I wasn?t in labs or classes, I was on the web sowing my wild oats with any fem furry I could find and a few guys as well that had fem characters. Enough said about that. I had to put him aside after college to work on my physics career. I wonder if that?s what kept me from going insane when I woke? I managed to graduate pretty high in my class and got accepted to MIT to get my Master?s and Ph.D. degrees. That?s where the accident occurred and things got interesting to say the least. There?s an old Gypsy curse that goes something like this. ?May you live in interesting times.? MIT is an interesting place to live and work. Half the people there don?t live in the real world. They exist in a world of theories and numbers. The other half was getting there. I had been working as a graduate assistant for a professor studying wormholes. He was trying to warp space and time to try and find a method to travel between stellar distances. I was working the late shift on his latest experiment. Hey, how was I suppose to know the sun was entering a time of higher than normal solar flare and magnetic storm activity. I had spent a lonely night observing the distortion caused by the reactions of intense magnetic fields. This meant that measurements had to taken of the field intensities every so often. An ape could be taught to do this, but the PETA people raised a stink, something to do with cruelty to animals. So they had lowly graduate students doing it. I was standing no more than 3 feet from distortion field when 8 and a half minutes earlier, the sun?s surface had exploded in an intense solar flair. The magnetic flux would reach as farther than Mars and be recorded as the largest in recorded history. Global satellite communications would be down for months. As I stood watching, sipping my 4th cup of cold coffee. The magnetic flux from the sun and the earth?s magnetic field combined with the reactor?s flux. It intensified the distortion and shifted it 6 feet to the west. Needless to say I had about a second or so to watch the distortion field suddenly expand and shift towards me. All I had time to say was ?awe fu..? as the field enveloped me. The explosion in the magnetic flux coils was attributed to a hydrogen leak on the floor below which was studying cold fusion. Several professors and students had been injured in the explosion and one student killed. His body was never recovered and believed destroyed by the explosion. Oh, if they only knew. * * *
Somewhere a long way from Earth and several dimensions over
- * * You know the line ?Second star to the right and straight on till morning!? Tallus, a rather bored male skunk, was observing the distortion fields of magnetic fluxes when something happened that shouldn?t have happened. The field suddenly expanded and exploded in an unbelievably bright flash. The flood of energy far exceeded the capacity of the coils being used. The instruments melted in a blinding flash of light. It was a couple of minutes before he could see. Tallus stood there wiping the tears from his gray eyes. When he could see again, he looked over at the magnetic coils. They were a molten mess of twisted wire and iron with a few other exotic elements thrown in for good measure. Smoke and a few sparks danced in the air. Most of the lights in the room were now out also. What really caught his watering eyes was the naked female fox lying unmoving on the floor of the distortion chamber. It wasn?t every day he got to see a naked fox appear from nowhere. After picking his jaw off the floor, he hit the alarms and called for the paramedics. Ten minutes later the university?s paramedics arrived to assess the situation. They found the dazed skunk sitting on a desk in shock, babbling something about vixens from space. Tallus sat there shaking and in shock. He had stumbled over to the desk to call the paramedics after the melt down. Other than some singed fur and some odorous clothes, the paramedics found him to be ok. On the other hand, it took them almost 45 minutes to get the door to the observation chamber open. The magnetic coils were housed in a shielded room in order to shield the coils from any outside magnetic field or flux. The room was approximately 10 by 15 feet and had once housed the professor?s files. Lack of research space had forced Professor Claton to use whatever space he could find. The door finally opened with a moan and shriek of twisted metal. The paramedics rushed into the chamber and began examining the fox on the floor for any possible injuries. Professor Claton, a rather plump looking chow with a tight curved tail, ran into the room. A gasp of horror escaped his lips as he surveyed the damage. He ran up and grabbed the graduate student skunk by the neck. ?What happened to my experiment? It took me months to get enough funding to build them! Ruined all ruined!!!? he yelled at the still stunned and dazed skunk. ?What were you doing letting that fox in here? ? The startled skunk tried to stammer his answer as the paramedics placed the unmoving fox on a stretcher. As they moved the naked fox, she started convulsing, her body arching then curling on the stretcher. The paramedics scrambled to secure the twisting fox before she could injury herself or others. One of the paramedics, a gray wolf named Tidus, curled into a ball as a flailing paw connected with his crotch. All three other paramedics winced in empathy. The other paramedics managed to immobilize the convulsing female by the time they got her to the medic transport. It took another 20 minutes to transport the patient to the hospital. The hospital was crowded with the usual patients with their sick cubs. All watched as they wheeled the unconscious fox through the doors and into the emergency room. The nurse on duty directed them to a room just down the corridor. They moved her to emergency room 4 where the attending doctor could examine her. The attending doctor was Dr. O-Hare, a gray hare in his early 30?s. He had a darker patch of fur over his right eye and the tip of his left ear had a tendency to drop over when he was tired. After spending a long night treating minor injuries and cubs with colds, his ear was folded almost in half. He was glad for the change. The paramedics started giving the doctor the initial medical readings they took on the scene and while in transport. ?BP 110 over 80 and steady, heart rate 80 and even, breathing 14 and shallow, eyes dilated and unresponsive, also the patient had a seizures while in transport and had to be restrained.? the paramedic calmly reported as they transferred the fox from stretcher to hospital examination table. ?You better watch those paws, she took Tidus down with one blow.? said a grinning paramedic good naturally. Tidus winced at the memory of the blow to his groin. Everyone had chuckled as he sat bent over in pain on the way to the hospital. The pain was almost gone by the time they arrived. The exam went on throughout the night, nurses coming and going taking vital signs and blood samples. The vixen had had no more seizures other than the initial one. Dr. O-Hare was still puzzled as to why she had not regained consciousness, all the vital signs were normal and the initial blood samples came back negative for drugs or alcohol. The MRI scan had showed no brain damage and the brain waves looked normal if a little higher. He ordered more tests including a complete blood analysis and neuralgic scanning. The next day, all the test results were still inconclusive, except for an anomaly in the hormone levels from the blood samples. In the initial blood samples there was a high level of testosterone and a lack of estrogen but later samples showed a shift to normal estrogen levels and a marked decrease in testosterone. All later blood samples showed normal female hormone levels. It was almost as if the blood chemistry shifted from male normal to female normal. This greatly confused the doctors and they could not come up with a reason why. Most of the doctors just discounted it as lab error. There was no doubt in anyone?s eyes the patient was definitely female. Days passed. There was still no identity to put to the comatose vixen. No arctic fox female had been reported missing and the skunk had been cleared of any wrong doings by the lab?s security cameras, which showed him alone up until all the electronic equipment in that part of the lab had been destroyed by the magnetic flux. No one could figure out how the female fox got into the lab. * * *
2 Months later
- * * The nurse had been looking after the female arctic fox for almost two months since she had been found in a physics lab. Aldrea, a female bobcat, shuffled around the vixen?s bed, emptying the catheter bag and turning the patient so no bedsores would form. Aldrea had been working at the nursing home for almost 5 years. She graduated from nursing college and had taken the first job she was offered. Aldrea R?thca had worked towards her nursing certificate since she had been a little cub. She had always been the one to play doctors and nurses as a little cub. The media had run the story the first couple of days. It started out as a great human-interest story. When no one came forward to identify the vixen, the media soon lost interest. The story receded further and further until it was finally lost when a public transport had failed and crashed kill several aboard and injuring many others. The vixen lay on the hospital bed, draped in a soft pastel blanket. Her arms were laid on top of the blanket by her side. The room was no more than 3 meters square with a sunny window, which let the morning light into the room. The window looked out over a small courtyard with an excellent view of the mountains far to the west. The nurse looked at the silent fox and sighed. She looked almost on the edge of waking. For the first week, Aldrea had expected the fox to wake any moment, but as the days passed into weeks she grew more somber and sad for the beautiful fox. She looked out the window and saw the pale moon a faint brown yellow in the night sky. It was going to be a full moon tonight and the second moon was going to be up also. ?It would be the perfect night for the Moon Dancers.? she thought as she moved about on her shift. The Moon Dancers were a group of individuals who could feel the music of the moons when they were high in the night sky. They could dance to that music and call forth its magic. Their numbers had been decreasing as technology grew and prospered. Now no more than a few were born each year to replenish their dwindling number. There were even those who had never seen the Dancers dance and call the moon light to their bodies and work their healing magic on the living plants and creatures of the forest. It was said in the old times before technology, their magic was used to increase crop production, heal injuries, cure the infertile, and most important summon the moon Goddess for her blessings and miracles. Sadly the Goddess had not been seen for centuries and was slowly passing into myth. It was said that today people didn?t have the spark it took to be a dancer. ?Well dear, it looks like it going to be a beautiful night for the dancers tonight.? said the bobcat to her immobile patient. Aldrea always talked to her patients whether they could hear and respond or not. She felt that it was only proper. The sound of her soft voice kept the room from feeling barren of life. As she left the room to continue her rounds, she failed to see that the moonlight coming through the window. It moved across the room toward the fox as the moon rose higher in the night sky. It finally touched the bed and crept across it to touch her hand. As the moonlight touched the vixen, her hand started to glow almost with a light of its own. After a few moments the hand twitched and a finger moved. When the moonlight left the hand, it stilled and moved no more. * * *
1 month later
- * * Aldrea was on day shifts now, when she went in to check on the comatose vixen. As she moved about checking the various tubes that kept the fox fed and alive, she noticed a different scent in the room. She looked about lifting her nose as if trying to sense its source. It was somewhat covered by the scent of the medical cleaners used to keep the room sterile. After a moment Aldrea traced the scent to the vixen. It was the scent of a female fox in heat. Her patient had come into heat. Most foxes only came into heat once or twice a year, depending on age and whether or not she had birthed a pup recently. With Aldrea?s training, she knew that the heat would run its course in a few days. Although all mammals had periods every month, many species still came into heat or estrus. For most this meant just a heightened urgency to mate. Suppressants now took the intensity out so one could have more control over their lives. She looked down on the pale face of the vixen and stroked her chin. After a moment she left to inform the Doctors that the vixen had entered heat and left for the day. A chill ran down her back as she left for home. She shook it off as she ran to catch the next shuttle to town. When Aldrea came back to work the next day, the scent of the fox was almost overpowering to her senses. ?What?s going on?? She wondered. ?How could this happen, she was feline, the canid pheromones should have had no affect on me.? It was as if she was trapped in the room and couldn?t escape. The scent drew her in and held her. The longer Aldrea stayed in the room with the vixen, the more the scent affected her. She felt her own body respond to the sexual signals of the foxes pheromones. Her own sex began to tingle and moistening. Soon the sexual urges overpowered her need to get out of the room and its enveloping scent. Her nipples under her bra hardened and poked through her fur. She moaned as she ran one paw down her belly and under the waistband of her slacks. Her other paw reached up to cup and squeezed her breast. Her mind was awash with fear and lust the scent caused. She couldn?t help herself but to relieve the urge that built between her legs here and now. A low growl escaped her lips as her fingers parted her labia and found the swollen nub of her clit. The growls deepened as she rubbed again and again. She bit her lip as her orgasm overtook her in order to keep from roaring her climax. It seemed to her to last forever, much longer and more intense than any other time she had ever masturbated or climaxed with any lover. Her blood felt like it was on fire. Finally the orgasm eddied and faded. Leaving her weak and shaken. A sigh of relief passed her lips. She slowly removed her wet paw from her panties. The rooms scent no longer had its overpowering effect on her. She looked over at the unconsciousness vixen and wondered how the vixen?s scent could have effected her so. Aldrea quickly cleaned herself in the room?s bathroom and left the room. The other staff working that night wondered at the strange mixtures of scents in the room. A mixture of sensual scents filled the room of canid and feline. Needless to say, the rest of the staff had an erotic weekend for some reason or other as the scent of a vixen in heat worked a sort of sensual magic throughout the staff.
