Future Vision: Chapter 5
Chapt. 5
As GP walked back to his room he couldn't help but feel somewhat vulnerable. He had really just told Nexus that he loved him, but in a more "beat around the bush" way. Still though he was sure Nexus would get the point, and wasn't sure what his reaction would be. All in all though he felt happy to get it in the air and get it over with.
He pawed the button on the doorway to unlock his door but it denied his request, and he didn't even notice until he walked muzzle first into the cold unrelenting steel. Rubbing his muzzle with his left paw he punched the button again with his right. It simply beeped twice in a low tone and in a what could be described as a sickly sounding British female said "The access request to your chambers was denied"
GP was in to good of a mood to really get mad at the simple machine, but he also didn't want to walk half a station to get to an operations station to fix the problem. Instead he settled on ripping the control panel off the wall and shorting the wires to the door lock mechanisms. It wasn't his first time doing it, or even his second. Breaking into his own quarters had actually almost become part of his life. About once every month he would have to break into his own quarters and fix the glitch control system from the inside, than replace the outside panel with a new one.
He fused the five wires it took to open the pneumatic release valves, and a few seconds later there was a loud uncontrolled hiss of air that rushed out of the vents of the door. Normally it would have been more controlled due to the control panels voltage regulation to make the release quieter, more controlled, not to mention much slower. GP however pushed all 15 amps down the circuits which make the vents open all the way instantly and with 1825 PSI across 5 pneumatic hydraulic cylinders, it was enough to blow all the water out of your fur and deafen you at the same time. Most chambers had one cylinder pumped to 365 PSI, but since he was the commander the station, his had to be secure.
After all the pressure had been released he forced the door apart with his paws just enough so he could slip inside and forced it closed again. Opening and closing the two steel doors was a workout in itself considering each one weighed about 113 kilograms, not to mention the additional 45 kilos of machinery inside each one.
Feeling overwhelmed with sleepiness, he fell face first on his bed promising himself he was only to lay down for a few minutes and shower. His body however had no intent on keeping its promise, and within a few seconds he was off to a blissful and memorable dream.

Two hours passed and Nexus noticed that GP had not yet shown up to the command center to discuss the ongoing hostilities in the system over. It was like GP to delay after coming back from an operation so he could get his thoughts together, but it usually took no more than an hour.
Nexus realized that when GP came back, he never relived him from being in command, which he fully intended on abusing to leave his station and go to GP's quarters. When he got up however and walked towards the door, one of the officers stopped him bluntly and turned him around.
"Where do you think you're going, you did not ask to leave or report where you are headed" blurted the slightly bigger male leopard standing in front of him. He knew this leopard all too well, and he was often referred to as the "Official Jarhead" of the station. What he lacked in language or any other complex thought, he made up in stubbornness and obedience. Normally Nexus would not stand up to the 90 Kilo leopard, but since he was still in technical command, he figured that if the leopard dared to stop him, he would be demoted.
"As far as we all know, and hearing no word from Viper, I am still in command here and you need to step aside. My destination is personal and does not need you knowing or approving of it. While I am gone, you are in charge of finding someone to monitor my station. You should be capable of doing it in fact due to the fact that we are not under attack, and therefore have to do nothing"
As Nexus expected the leopard just stood there trying to comprehend what he should do. Nexus grinned evilly and decided to add another statement for the confused cat to think about
"Also I did not get you name, would you mind telling me. Normally I would read it but it seems you forgot to add it to your uniform"
The confused cat quickly put a paw where he name should be and became wide eyed. Stepping out of the way he assertively announced "Tad, Augustive Tad, Sir"
With that Nexus nodded and walked out of the door leaving his dormant station in the hands of a true idiot. His station though was not so important that if they were to come under attack, that they would be defenseless. All of the consoles in the command center acted as an input device to make changes to systems that were that were pretty much autonomous. Weapons, shields, power, and pretty much everything was controlled by what he yet understood. He was just told to think of it as a really smart door panel, and from that he understood it was classified Intel and stopped seeking for anymore answers.
Although Nexus had always thought the station had a cumbersome internal layout, he was getting used to it. He understood it was build more for structural stability and safety than convenience. But he never understood why there was a lift just outside to door of the command center, he couldn't help but to think that they should have just connected it to the inside of the center. Only authorized people could use the lift, or for that matter even get to this level of the station. He also wished that they would have put some sort of covering on the exposed bones on parts of the orbital. For the most part the station was well covered with a smooth alloy that had built in light, but on other parts is was just bare bones with heavily insulated wires, which was the view he saw every time he left the command center.
Shaking his head he pawed the lift button which than politely posed the question "Command Authority Number"
"Auk Zir Zir Neft" he blurted without any thought"
"Please restate" came the reply he had not been expecting. It took him a few seconds to realize that he had said he number in the archaic language that Morphs first developed when that wished to talk to themselves with humans around. It was a language know too all morphs, and was required to be learned in their culture. Due to the fact that the morphs military structure was based off the Humans flawed one, English not only came to be the native language of the military, but there were ways of saying things in English that could not be directly translated. There was no such translation for "sit-up" or "push-up" in the morphs language. Also there was no words for "deadlift" or "critical".
"8 0 0 9" he repeated. This time the panel beeped and the door to the lift opened. He stepped in and mashed the "CAQ 01" which was the command authority living quarters level. People his rank or below would not be able to reach this floor by lift, but for some reason he has always been able to. He never told anyone after he found out one day by mashing the button for pure curiosity, and shrugged it off as a glitch in the system.
The lift creaked and started its journey to the "CAQ" level with no emphasis on the adjective "fast". Nexus pulled out his communicator to find that the time was now 16:27, and he knew that even by lift it would take at least another 5 minutes to even reach the CAQ level. He leaned back against the grate that was for all purposed the lifts walls and closed his eyes.
Nexus started to think about what he was doing, and what GP would do to him if he actually came to get him. For some reason however nothing scared him or made him feel like what he was doing was a mistake. In fact, he was now sure that he wanted to continue with this journey. He would just have to keep an eye open for security personnel, which would be easy enough since most had the attention span or a heavy weight champion.
The Lift came to a clanging halt and nexus put on his face of determination, and walked out of the lift looking at nothing but what was directly in front of him. To his surprise the guards rounding the corner just in front of the lift didn't look twice, they were too busy talking about some sort of sport but Nexus was to ignorant on the subject to know which one.
GP's quarters was on the very backside of the level completely opposite of the lift. It was about a 200 meter walk down a straight path which made it fairly quick to get to, but also meant there were no hiding places. Nexus looked in all directions scouting for the locations of the patrolling guards and their directions. To his surprise there were hardly any wondering around and it was mid-day. Other than the couple that saw him on the left, there were only three others and they were busy chatting away on subject that he couldn't make out.
Even though the guards seemed to all be interested in gossip rather than their jobs, Nexus decided the best chance to not be caught was to sneak around but to go as fast as he could. Being a fox this came naturally to him and since he only weighed 65 Kilos he didn't even have to try that hard, all he had to do really was just be careful of the hard sole of his boots hitting the ground.
Before nexus even got 50 meter away from the lift someone put a paw on his shoulders and turned him around. "Where do you think you're going sneak-thief?" Viper said in a hushed tone.
"How? You snuck up behind me without even making a sound?" Nexus managed to spurt out
"I'm a wolf. I'm a lot sneaker than you by default. Next time you might want to take off those boots. They gave you away, well at least to me. Hell didn't you even hear the sound of creaking metal behind you when I jumped down from the level above?"
"Whaa? That's 10 meters, there is no way you jumped down from there to here."
"Better believe it bud. Now what are you doing down on this level, I know it isn't for business." Viper asked very inquisitively.
"I uhh, was going to GP's quarters to see what's wrong." Nexus admitted silently.
"Ahh, well go on then, but don't think of doing anything you not suppose to. Plus I don't think you like the idea of me sneaking up on you all the time."
With that Viper stood up and walked to the lift pawing the console and saying his command number. Getting in the lift the gray and blue furred wolf turned around and winked at Nexus as the lift started its accent.
Turning back around Nexus didn't see any of the guards anyway. Standing cautiously he looked in all direction but none could be seen. Seeing the all clear nexus dashed the other 150 meters until he was outside of GP's quarters. Before he even thought about entering he looked behind him to see if he was followed. Seeing that he was in the clear he looked to where the doors control panel should be so he can ring the door bell, but to his amazement it was ripped clean off the wall. He saw a few fused wires and looked at the chamber door itself. It was evident that it had been forced opened and closed again not once but many times over months.
Nexus shove his paws into the crack of the door and forced the two panels apart but he just barely had the strength to hold the apart far enough to slip inside. He knew he was nowhere near as strong as GP, and opening that door was most likely a breeze for him.
Nexus turned the corner of the main room to find GP face down on his bed with a puddle of drool on his pillow. While he found it adorable that he looks so peaceful while sleeping, he also found it erotic. He had just broke into another males quarters only to catch them sleeping. Not only that but all GP had on was his uniform pants, which were tight enough to give Nexus a wonderful view of his ass.
Walking over to the bed, Nexus rolled GP side to side trying to stir him threatening with "GP... GP are you awake? Wake up you already late... Alright you leave me no choice but to pull your tail." But all he got was a moan while GP rolled over so that he was not sleeping on his back which immediately through him into a loop.
GP had a boner sticking straight up out of his pants that reached to nearly his navel. Nexus had no clue whether he should now go away and pretend this never happened, or continue waking him up. Nexus also couldn't help but stair at the top half of GP's feline cock, which in its entirety was new to him. Nexus had never seen a feline's tool before, and to him it was eye catching but very different from his own.
While he was gawking however GP had actually woken up, but did not move or say a word as he watched Nexus's gaze. He hadn't done it on purpose, but he knew half of himself was sticking out of his pants. While unintentional, it also meant there was a possibility of Nexus's sexuality.
